just seen your vid on c6. building a pulling truck with a c6. using a 460 as engine. watched it several times. could you combine the parts used and explain the pinion gears you used. seems lots of parts interchange from e4od and c6. and some came from diesel trans. might be worth picking up a used e4od and a diesel trans to use parts compared to cost of new parts.
Thanks for this video. This is some valuable information about building the C-6. My C-6 is a 94' that came with my 460 motor. I'm building a big block motor for my 67' F-100 that will probably put out about 575 hp for the street (my guess). Maybe I don't need everything you talked about, but some of it would be great. Can you give me your advice on what I should use? Would really appreciate it. It's hard to find anything on the C-6 anymore.
Great Video, very informative. Where can the park gear with the bearing be purchased? I've looked all and come up with nothing. Is there a part number on that bearing in the event I decide to have one of my gears machined? Many Thanks.
I have no part numbers. look this up on ebay , C6 6 Pinion Steel Front Planet Low Ratio Upgrade Kit E4OD 4R100 For Ford Lincoln...... Ebay is where i got mine from , took a few months to find everything i needed.
I have problems with the six pinion rear planets eating thrust washers and the forward planet hub Eating the front of the forward planet hub any Suggestions
The slots on the sun shell are to tall. If they are not cut down the direct clutch drum will not fully engage. And you will not be able to bolt the front pump all the way down thus binding up the trans.
Great video!!
Thanks for sharing your knowledge it’s highly appreciated and helpful 😁😁🤘🤘

Cool vid. Thanks for time and effort 💪🎯👌
This guy is legit! Everyone should subscribe!
Excellent video and well explained, however I have never seen a broken Planetary on a c6.
Great Video... Thanks for Sharing. I've got a C-6 351 Cleveland Combo going into my '53 Ford F-1 Truck Project. Very Helpful.
That video is awesome, I wish I found it before I grabbed everything.
Can we get a detailed parts list? Great information.
awesome video! i just subscribed.
Thanks for the info, definitely helped out 👍
Glad it helped!

I'd say a good quality rebuild kit and upgrade the front 3 pinion to a 4 pinion if it's not already.

CK performance still has them. Im glad this video is helping some people out there cause info on the c6 swap parts is hard to find.
@@BADTOAD454 Many thanks for the reply. I’ll check them out tomorrow. Thank again.
Can u list all the part numbers or parts that u need for this build, I’m looking to build a c6 for my mud truck

@@BADTOAD454 thanks I think I found a kit from Ck performance for everything I need for my rebuild.
So if I take the complete lower assembly from a diesel 4r100 I should be fine?
yep
That hole in reverse piston looks way bigger than .020 - .040" ??
I was not paying attention and grab the wrong bit. I had it welded and redrilled it the correct size.
The trans is in the car now and works great.
Are u building a 69 Torino I have a 71 Torino with a 351w stroker 398 with a small block c6

Did you check the front and rear Clearances?
My c6 flares 2-3 gear has it happened to you and how did you fix it.
Every trans is different. Try tightening the band a 1/4 turn more. The factory specs are just a starting point.
And an external tranny cooler.
why you grind down your Sun shell for?

@@BADTOAD454 How much did you actually take off?
I think it was around 1/2
