Just remember that every Narrows BM sells makes them believe they can charge 3x’s what they should and that people will buy them! I’m glad you got to experience it and hope you get your money mostly back if you sell it.

Congratz. If you work hard, it's OK to spoil yourself. Enjoy them, don't feel bad about the price. I carry a benchmade mini bugout. I love it. A friend thought I was crazy for paying 100 bucks for it. Then when he held it, he went out and bought one a week later. 😀
In the last video, he was so jazzed about Narrows that in this video I wasn't AS surprised. I too love novelty, new knives to carry and check out! It's why I bought the Blade HQ exclusive Osborne when I didn't like it all these years. Now I know how small it is, I can hardly believe there's a mini Osborne! Lol! I enjoyed that video and this one connected to Indiana knives!

My BHQ Magnacut Ultratech and Magnacut Houge Deka just came in the mail today and they are both pretty amazing knives ill hopefully be able to cool off for a bit lol
YES. I want to put medium coarse peel ply Sage G-10 on my S35VN Resilience! Make it the best of both versions! ( If you don't count combo and spyderedge as versions too)
I wish they would have done a crazy cool textured milling pattern on the narrows. It definitely would have taken some of the sting out of that $500+ price tag. Who knows maybe a future model maybe??
I didn't expect to like the Narrows so much, but I bought one at Blade Show after handling it in person. It's super light, very pocketable, and feels surprisingly premium. I also have the standard version of the Spy Opera knife, and really like it too!
You might be very happy you did! It might be your favorite from now on or be double better than you thought it would be and if you manage to keep it, carry & use it alot and everything than you already paid for it and it's yours anytime from now on!
That's what I'm saying! If I only look at dollar amount and think in general terms, it's safe & sane. I just don't go there because I might talk myself out of a knife that's worth more than it costs and lose THAT kind of value. Benchmade makes that hella rare, but not impossible!

It's my all-time favorite edc knife👍 I just got the newly released KnifeCenter exclusive Hogue Deka(Gen2) with stonewashed magnacut wharncliff blade and red lave G-mascus handle scales💯🔥 The Hogue Deka(Gen2) is absolutely without question a Benchmade Bugout killer!!! I watched a lot of Birdshot IV videos and it hits different seeing your faces and not tabletop reviews, but not because it was shocking how different you look compared to how I imagined you looked. It is a different format of video and more to look at, distract me and keep track of during the video which got me more involved and rewarded.

For the price I would have got a Brad Zinker knife over the Narrows, at least I would have known what I'm getting for the money. The Narrows just looks like it would hurt my hand if I used it to any capacity outside of cutting open a package or a piece of paper. Oh and the SpyOpera is one of the best designs from Spyderco in a while, and it is very pretty.
When I was younger I was all about big heavy duty or tactical knives. Benchmade bone collector was my go to for years. Now that I’m older, I prefer something more simple and well made. That spyopera is right up my alley. Beautiful piece
I like those things about SpyOpera too, plus it being a Collab with LionSteel. That's because LionSteel has gotten framed in my mind as big bang for buck...more value in selection, materials and no corollary sticker shock.

I live in Idaho. Went to a grocery store in the next town West and they had Kershaw Moonsault. It was really clean, solid, serious of a design and execution! Then it occurred to me I might get as much of more enjoyment from it as the Narrows!
The Narrows is a concept knife. A testbed for their revised axis lock. I'm not a Benchmade fan, so I not biased towards them, but I don't care for titanium either.🤦♂️🤣
Don't leave that one in the woods. If you enjoy it that's all that matters but I just can't bring myself to drop that much on it. That one and the Frankie size BM Immunity. I really don't know which one I would pick out of the two. I would be freaked out dropping them both. :(
Benchmade does a great job on heat treating m390. I've got an old Nakamura in m390 and it held a screaming sharp edge for ever it seemed like. I must have gotten lucky or something and got one at the top of they're HRC range.
You may have gotten lucky, but when all is said and done, I don't want to gamble paying full price and I still might not get a knife using an alloy to full potential
There's a Narrows at the local AAFES px for Four Fifty. I like the SpyOpera b/c I've been a Spydie fan since the mid 90s. And Knives are art. Useful art, practical art, but still art

The narrows were $460 at blade show. I wasn't impressed. I handled 3 different ones at blade show and they have alot of blade play. Literally felt like I could break or bend the blade off while open

Frankie got the better deal by far. Neighbor to the North here (Muncie). In my humble opinion, the only thing the Narrows is good for is as a catch and release after you've shot the video on it. It's components and blade steel translates to at BEST a $300 knife. So I see the market for them being with the flex crowd while us folk with common sense buy one, two or three stellar knives with our $522. I would sooner buy another CRK to add to my Sebenza Insingo with my $$ than to encourage Benchmade to continue along this path of over pricing. Zip~

You couldn't have broken it off. Odd that with so many thousand people handling those knives at bladeshow, no one else said the blades were so loose.
