The Camillus Swedge is excellent at batoning wood into kindling. I take it every camping trip. The chisel needed to be filed and honed when I got it. It's a great tool for $20. It's also full tang and can be hammered on.

meijer really just has at least a functional version of anything youd need but probably not anything avid hobbyists would want.
love my prybrid, when im doing a minimal carry it'll often be in the rotation with something like a delica to cover dirtier jobs and scraping, the bottle opener even came in handy a few times.
Cool seeing the birdshot Swiss army again. I wore all the decal off mine and have a pair of white scales now.

Agree, way better than Dicks in selection. The prices seemed to be high.
But look at them prices. A lot of us used to enjoy this hobby but the cost of knives keeps going way up for a decent knife name brand, some people are leaving the knife hobby because the cost. Just my opinion kershaw,gerber keep the price low but use 5cr or 7cr.
For my money, Meijer beats Dick's.
Good selection. Walmart has a good amount but all of them are locked up. Ya gotta find an employee who has a key and they aren’t happy to let you browse. It’s choose one and purchase 🤷🏻♂️so your stores are more lenient for now.

I used the tweezers on my Gerber Clutch today after digging out a splinter with my We Banter.
Walmart is starting to carry decent budget knives. Several options in D2.
Some Walmart stores are much more impressive than others, but yeah, even the knife ones are better and better.
The gel bbs expand with water before you shoot them. I think it's a safer alternative to airsoft
You have to hit their deli, ours in Brimfield,Ohio has a sushi bar, yummy stuff

I stopped shopping at Dick's a while ago... And so, apparently, did more than a few people, because they've closed down in my area.

Does Frankie still do them bird drawings for Blade HQ? I just bought a Heretic pariah for $420, and I asked for a Frankie bird drawing! Hopefully they still have some! Blade HQ wanted me to write something for the B.B.B. on what I thought of bhq! I told them I learned all about it from you two! And I've always had good service and no problems!

420 = 3Cr13
440A = 7Cr17MoV
So 7Cr is definitely better than basic 420.
From now on when someone asks my opinion of 7cr steel I will say “it’s corrosion resistant. So are my socks.”

I use the Milwaukee Fastback as my razor carry.
Just plain 420 isn't very good, it's probably 420j2🤢.
420HC is better, however the only 420HC I would buy would be a Paul Bos heat treated USA Buck 420HC @58-59 hrc.
There is another US company I can't remember who right now, that also has a serviceable 420 HC👍.
I don't think it was Gerber or SOG, anyway it did as good as Buck 420HC in independent edge retention testing.
7cr17mov iirc is basically 440A but with nickel added, very corrosion resistant.
7cr17mov, 8cr14mov, AUS 8 and 420HC heat-treated by a custom knife maker would blow people's minds 👍. In some cases doubling the edge retention compared to large in-house heat treatments.

Man, what a bunch of junk. On the Camillus knives, they say titanium, which is a coating on the exterior of the 420 crap steel. Some cool looking soft air stuff. You can't buy ammo in California unless you have a registered firearm.
