    This was truly EPIC! Wow! What he said about the palm trees and having to dig their roots deeper is such a beautiful analogy for the Jewish people and all we've been through. Really inspiring episode, as always! Thank you Yosef Shapiro for opening up about such a personal journey.

    I love that message on self-advocating... It encourages me to be confident as many times we feel uncomfortable or vulnerable to challenge authorities like doctors or any other so-called professional! It's important!

    IVF is horrendously difficult. Infertility is incredibly painful for many, many years. We are expected to be happy for pregnant friends, overjoyed to attend baby showers, etc. It is only after getting reproductive cancer and having my female organs removed that I feel at peace because I have accepted G-d' s judgement that I will never have biological children. My suggestion to everyone is do NOT discuss this with anyone unless you are husband and wife as it is far too painful to have well intentioned family and friends asking when a baby will arrive, etc. The hurt is real and it runs deep. How lucky this man had a biochild at all. I sat in the waiting room with 10 barren women who were talking about how many failed IVF attempts they had. People with IVF bills of $50k and no baby to show for it. No guarantees in IVF and doctors lie. The chances are very low after 35 years old but docs keep taking your money until you are 50 years old or so. I didn't even talk about how violated we felt physically because of how it is done. My poor husband had to give a "sample"! The meds I had to take were full of side effects. The worst part was they didn't tell us the medication would turn a pregnancy test positive immediately. 3 days after, we excitedly did a home test and danced when it was positive. It was a false positive. 🤦😭There was no support team, no counseling, nothing. Way back in 2003. My marriage ended because he wanted a biochild. He remarried and had a biochild even with his slow swimmers. I never overcame my polycystic ovaries. I still cry when I go to the female doctor because waiting room is full of preggos. Because of my cancer I only go to the cancer female doc which is a relief I'm 3 years healed and 2 more years before I have to deal with the regular female doc. So to anyone considering this, join a support group and get counseling. Good luck to everyone and may you be blessed to accept G-d's will in this matter. We must trust G-d and His ways aren't our ways. (((Hugs)))

    What is IUI? Would you be able to use some technical terms. Also, can you talk about when it is the man who is preventing a pregnancy from taking place?

    • @beans4853
      @beans4853 Год назад

      Intra-Uterine-insemination (IUI). Manually placing semen into the uterus. By men preventing pregnancy, do you mean male factor infertility?

    • @WARISWERISU
      @WARISWERISU Год назад +1

      I copied and pasted this definition. Intrauterine insemination (IUI) is a type of artificial insemination. It is a procedure for treating infertility. Sperm that have been washed and concentrated are placed directly in your uterus around the time your ovary releases one or more eggs to be fertilized.

      IUI (intrauterine insemination) is where they take man's fresh sperm, wash it in a special solution and then the doctor puts it in a syringe and inserts it into the wife's uterus. The sperm doesn't have to swim as far since it is put directly into the womb. The woman should be ovulating (releasing an egg) at the time the procedure is done. IUI is helpful if men's sperm swim slowly or are poor quality. Try to optimize the diets of both man and woman by dramatically increasing the fruits/vegetables eaten, cutting out processed food/added sugars. My friends went vegan eating beans/lentils, fruit, veg, starches like potato, rice, whole-wheat bread, etc They got spontaneously pregnant in 6 months. They also reduced stress by going on walks, working fewer hours, etc. I'm not saying it works for everyone but it sure worked for them.

    I found this to be very interesting although I myself did not suffer w issues of this nature, my daughter and her husband, unfortunately, did.
    I, myself, live in Israel, as does my daughter w her now BH family. They, for reasons I do not know nor understand, did need to pay for all of their treatments and they were close to the age of thirty.
    Obviously the amount of money they needed to pay kupat cholim, was way less than what one would need to pay in other countries not in Eretz Yisroel.
    That being said, my oldest granddaughter is now ten and a half years old. My daughter and her husband went thru various diagnostic tests to help find out if/what were the issues possibly contributing to the cause of infertility - and then ten rounds of treatments until this child came into the world.
    After five years, they decided to try again for another baby. Their second daughter was born after four rounds of treatments.
    They mapped out their life thinkimg of a baby after another five years. And then when the daughter whom will soon turn five, was still in nursing mode, my daughter conceived. While in somewhat of an emotional shock because the fertility clinic had told them that they could not be able to have any more children w/o the specific help of their clinic.
    During the pandemic, while my daughter was still working in her physical job of cleaning in buildings, she was merited by HaShem to get pregnant and keep to 'full-term' w having two
    basically healthy pregnancies!
    I did not see a clear copy of the book's title which I feel is a real shame as I might be so inclined to buy the book, and I do not always read the information on what the RUclips will be about.
    Also, I'm not sure if what the Rav went thru was only IVF as it sounds to me more like what little I know of about IUI which I think is why my daughter and her husband needed to pay for their treatments. Of course I could be totally wrong.
    Blessings, love and prayers for all, from Tzfat in Eretz Yisroel

    He’s very young and giving counseling?

    • @MrFisherman4444
      @MrFisherman4444 Год назад +4

      The reason counseling is generally offered by older people, is because they have more experience. In this case, he has the full experience at his young age. No need for him to wait until he's older.
