Thank you so much for all the info. I would like your advice if you do not mind. I am an English teacher. I got my BA from Egypt which is where I am from. I also got my MS from the US. I always wanted to be a teacher and immigrate to the US since I was 12 years old. I am 50 years old now and got my California teaching credentials. Do you think I can get a teaching job even though I am not a native speaker? I am sure your know that non native speakers study so hard to get to this level and we do not take anything for granted as a native speaker.

Absolutely I think it is possible to get a job even though you’re not a native speaker. What I have learned after more than 2 decades in this business is that it is all about fit and finding the community that you love and that loves you back. Seek out schools and communities that share your passions and your values because that’s a place that you will be excited to be at every single day.
When you interview, show your passion for students and commitment to learning and you will find the perfect school to practice the wonderful profession of teaching. Best of luck. 😊
