Great video with lots of things to check. And yet I checked everything (Seri & Search, Accessibility options, Bluetooth, software updates, always listen for Hey Siri, reset all, hard restart, yet I STILL get “Didn’t quite get that, try again”!! Have an iPhone XS, iOS 17.1.2. Used app Voice Memos to ensure mic hears my voice loud and clear. What the hell? This always worked until a couple days ago!

go to siri and search and on the top it says “listen to” and it says hey siri etc and set it up there

Guys I solved it you should go to your notes app press the mic at the bottom right and speak it will ask for dictation enable it and boom! It works

I couldn’t get this to work at first on my phone. You may have to go into your settings to enable it. I tried multiple things and then ended up watching a RUclips video that walked through several strategies in settings to enable this feature.

After updating to iOS 17.4.2, When pressing and holding the side button on my iPhone 14 Pro to activate Siri, use the voice command to activate Siri, or when pressing and holding the button on my steering wheel to activate Siri in CarPlay, then I dictate a message to be sent to a What’s APP recipient and it says, “uh oh something went wrong, try again”, but when I open What’s APP the message still sends.
