Let's be honest here. There is no way Edgeworth could take Wright in a fight. Phoenix has taken damage in accidents and from genuine assault that would kill normal humans. Dude fell off a mountain and got fully ran over by a car. Walked away with nothing but a broken arm both times. His endurance is way beyond any damage Edgeworth could possibly do.
I love how this perfectly captures how an Average Ace Attorney Case goes despite the fact it’s just Phoenix and Miles beating the crap out of each other
Edgeworth has immense strength (as shown when he can lift a heavy samurai pole with ease that others struggle with) due to being a prosecution lawyer: he brings down the hard hammer of justice onto the guilty. Meanwhile, Phoenix has super endurance (having survived several nonconsecutive murder attempts with a broken arm at worst) due to being a defense lawyer: he defends the innocent from unjust prosecution.
he isn't that strong compare with the top tiers, most top players rated him below average. iheartjustice is too good. He requires a stall team while he gathers the evidence.
As an Ohioan I can confirm that all legal cases are resolved through combat. My personal favorite was a divorce settlement case where the lady pulled out a corn halberd, the poor guy's mere meth cow summon never stood a chance
There’s a scene where Edgeworth throws the super heavy steel samurai pole arm with no efforts and Phoenix actually stumbled while catching it. He also picked up a suitcase with Trucy inside and never realized it was heavier, something Phoenix also pointed out as abnormal. Phoenix has more obvious superhuman endurance feats but Edgeworth is no pushover, despite what everyone seems to think. (Why am I powerscaling lawyers…)
But, Wright has endured being hit by a car, falling off a mountainside into a freezing river in a burning bridge, eating glass which contained poison, being hit by a fire hydrant resulting in memory loss, being stunned by a 600-volt stun gun and getting punched by an asshole. Unstoppable force meets immovable object.
On the VERY last frame of the video, you see the characters' positions drastically change. It's likely an accidental error, but I like to pretend it's Edgeworth about to get up THAT fast and the cameraman had already pressed stop on the recording and missed the conclusion of the fight.
