Hi Ray, I am currently looking for a 997.1 Turbo here in Germany and stumbled across a 997.1,5. I was doing some search work on this special intermediate series of the 997 and I was wondering how special is this Gen 1,5 actually. I couldn't find much info on this specific Gen 1,5. The only thing I found out is that there were about 400 mezgers lying around which still had to be fitted. And if you recon that round about 90% of them were fitted with the new PDK and the rest is puristic shifters then I think that the especially the shifters will become quite expensive in the near future or what is your opinion?
The manual gearbox 997 gen 1.5 are in very small number, around 38 in the UK. The remainder are Tiptronic S 5-speed automatic gearbox, not the PDK ZF 7-speed double clutch semi-automatic box of the 997 gen 2. I don’t believe the PDK was ever mated to the Mezger engine? Cheers, Raj
Thank you so much Tom, I am sorry to hear about your loss of a 996 C4S. Hopefully you will get another Porsche at some stage, they are all special cars in my opinion. Cheers, Raj

Wish I lived in the UK. Lost my 996 C4S to an accident. You provide a great resource and would have no hesitation buying from your company
