- Supermodel Maye Musk's new book, "A Woman Makes A Plan," details how she found her way as a mother, businesswoman, and model. Musk, the mother of Tesla CEO Elon Musk, says the way she raised her children was very similar to the way she was raised. She always worked as a mother and she let her children see that and be a part of it. She encouraged them to follow their passions and to help people. Musk says that ageism in media and other industries is primarily a problem for women. She says women are neglected as they get older, which is not the case for men. She believes women should make up half of all CEOs and presidents and thinks it would make for a kinder and gentler world.

@@lilybourhim3876 it’s funny. You have NO idea how many times I have been good to others and I felt like I was screwed over. I learnt that doing nice things for other people brings expectations so now I give them all of my love the way I know how.
I always meditate before meeting people,
I smile at them while I am sitting in their company, i dont say anything negative to bring them down, i accept them with all their flaws and I try really hard not to take their actions personal. That way, I get to be a loving person and what they choose to be is their Karma.

She taught her kids some most important things: independence (aka problem resolving, being resourceful), work ethics, doing good to serve. We should be truly thankful to her. So much to learn from her and her kids.

I love how she laughs even while talking about hard times. How she found joy in being able to get one chicken a week. So much different than the mentality we see in today's society.

I've read your book, in one sitting, and it is compelling. You are one fascinating lady, Maye, and you did a wonderful job with your children.
Her book is WONDERFUL! I thought the part where she mentioned about not getting casted & then going to a casting being told that they were told that she was unavailable, was questionable as well. It seems to me like the only "reasonable" explanation was that she was probably being requested for more work than the younger models in certain jobs & the agency didn't want an older model beating out the younger ones in popularity. Being lied to like that, when you KNOW you're being lied to, is always frustrating.

Currently I am reading the book elon musk - And I am fascinated about how scarless she had grow their children. In the book it seems like she even wasnt really there. She worked hard, and jobbed alot. - This is so different then what I do. So this a really different world for me. But it is also fascinating.
