Stopped dead in my tracks when I saw the square and compasses.then I saw IOOF on your shirt I had to subscribe. Nice work I’ve ordered a laser engraver myself and had been looking at ideas . Keep it up I’ll be watching
Leatherette is a synthetic vinyl based material that produces chlorine gas when laser engraved or cut. This is not only toxic, but highly corrosive to the innards of your laser, including the focus lenses and mirrors.
When I wipe them all the dark engraved spots come off, i tried shoe shine to make them dark, it worked but sometimes stains the leather that isn’t engraved, plz help!!!!
great video , question, I'm using a Atomstack S10 , when engraving say 3 patches using leatherette , 1 or 2 patches with engrac=ve fine where as 1 patch will engrave slightly lighter , any idea why , thanks
Just curious I’ve been getting precut leather patches from a vendor that has adhesive backing on it. Does the leatherette shown in the video have that on the back already? If so, where are you getting your leatherette from? If not, how are you putting the adhesive on the back?
what products is best for cleaning. I just got a glow forge laser and doing laser engraving for my company on leather and wanna clean up the soot like burn areas, also i want to be able to protect the whole patch for weather? I've been using natural veg leather that seems to be treated and dyed already.
What is use on the back of the leather? are you putting a heat transfer adhesive on or does the leather come with it, if so where did you get the leather?
Used your settings to do some Lester hat patches and they turned out awesome, thanks
