Matt when skeletons get disabled by sunlight they collapse into a pile of bones and then reform once it's night again! You didn't have skeletons spawning in your base, they were already there and they just woke up.

Watching Matt run away from skeletons is like watching squirrels avoid cars by trying to out run them up the road. Neither thinks to run sideways.
Well you know how prestigious it is to graduate from the esteemed PSORAFT (Prometheus School of Running Away From Things)
Rincewind is the acknowledged expert on running away.
I found that the watch towers are also helpful, since those fire on the skeletons without them being able to attack back. The downside is that it takes one person per tower but I think it would be good way to get rid of the skeletons. Also I have one person run around while I have two people shoot the skeletons and as long as they don't run too far away the skeletons will chase after them.
and you can take the people out of the tower when day comes. I have a fence around with towers at the pyramid. or I had then I starved
you need to compartimentalize things, keep the TC, windmill and farms at approx the same distance and everything food related as close as possible to the TC. possibly with wood/stone roads so they get speedy.
establish a farm/build routine in the day once you get to 6 ppl : 2 food(bake/farm); 2 wood ; 2 build(once you get to mining)
everyone who is not farming food has to kill deers when they get close so you get spare deers for shitty times
build mining camp and masonry afap
once you can mine you can change your routine to include stone: 2 food ; 1wood ; 2mine ; 1stone cutter ; 1build(pyramid/other stuff)
At night bunch up everyone who is not farming food and try to do building or farming materials, but keep them toghether or easily bunchable
keep in mind that food depletes more if you have more ppl, that's why you need a constant flow of bread, anything more than 8ppl and you need 4people farming it.

This game is fun, but you don't have to build another windmill, every working place like windmill can have multiple workers, one is enough

Hi Matt, I wonder if having a "well fed" population will be better at archery? Maybe try to get the food bar topped up and skeletons may fall easier? - Just a thought! Loving the series!

Same is true in Timberborn! Kids use food and water but don't work until they are adults.
play again! play again! love it, new game, new attempt. I personally love seeing the failure -> reattempt loop on survival games. It's much more satisfying than seeing people grow gigacolonies that never die.

It's it possible to build fences around the pile of bones during the day? Feels like that could trap them.
You 100% can do this --- and then once you shoot them into oblivion you can move the deconstruct and rebuild the fences elsewhere. It would probably take way too much time to pursue this strategy though. Watchtowers are a better investment.

You only need one windmill. Multiple people can work at the same station. I hope this helps!

well, it just became super apparent how addicting this game can be, I just might have to try this one sometime. honestly your playthroughs have gotten me to buy a few games so far lol, but what can I say you have decent tastes in games lol
As someone who's played Age of Empires a lot, I can't help but wonder if building more houses and having a larger population wouldn't have made this easier
Matt. Build watchtowers!!! (And learn how to hunt skeletons. Shoot, run, shoot, run, shoot, run... You gotta micromanage the fighting on the ground). You can also shoot them from behind your fence and they might get confused and just stand there.
I love these videos they're oddly relaxing and fun without boring me.

@@LordDragox412 The mass graves were a lie to spread fear to get compliance from stupid people. The really stupid people are easy to spot because they are still wearing those useless masks. Most of the people who died were murdered in nursing homes due to corrupt governors rules. Look up the number of people who died only from Covid with no listed co-morbidity. The numbers are extremely low. Now look up the people who died with co -orbities and what they were. You will see things like "Gunshot wound to the head" or car accident, or cancer, or heart attack.
