J. Nusz Yes, I would want to bump the shower area out by sacrificing a few inches on the bed and on the counter under the microwave and/or look in to a toilet that can be pulled out when showering.
Why anyone would dislike this video is beyond me. Some people are so insanely jealous when they see people taking risks they only wish they could and when seeing others find the happiness that eludes them.
At 75, I simply can't be without a bathroom and my own shower! In lite of today's pandemic, public facilities are out! This is one of the nicest vans I've seen! One of the things that really opens it up is that most vans have a raised bed to make room for a garage. Also the white gives a more open appearance! Love it!

I will miss it terribly but I simply no longer have the money, nor the physical strength to care for it! In my mid sixties I bought a 4x4 truck, a 14 foot pull along trailer and traveled across the US! It was wonderful! I had mechanical trailer problems but got thru it! Had a little truck problem --- managed that too😁. I stayed away from cities. Went to every national and state park I could! Met so many wonderful people! Most towns (not all) are what I call "everywhere America"! There's a mcdonald's, dairy queen, walmart, ace hardware, restaurant, gas station in every one of them! Almost! You just need to know your camper well, and it's maintenance needs. You need to know your vehicles and your own limits! I want a 4 wheel drive van! I'm not going rough four wheeling but I want to go on dirt roads, cross small creeks and know I have good wheels to get me there! I sure hope you make the dive, cause I'm sure swimming in that direction! We only live once babe! Go for it!
This is my absolute favorite of the tons of van conversions I've watched. I've seen people with a lot more space with only a funnel and bottle for a toilet and no shower. To each his own, but this conversion right here is the ideal as far as I'm concerned. Great job.
Boy me too! I almost did since I suffer from insomnia! Maybe I should play their van tour and put it on repeat. Om my gosh, I'd probably sleep for 24 hours! Sweet! 😉

This is the first time I’ve seen barn doors in a van build. Brilliant touch! This is so fresh with clean lines. The Trans have taken minimalist van life to the nth. Congratulations on your build.
This is one of the best builds I’ve seen especially with a bathroom and shower. I really like the layout and the thought that went into this build! Excellent use of space.
Whilst goverened by the layout, there are many individualistic touches together with the meticulous attention to detail and craftsmanship that set this build apart. The light, bright and airy feel of the beautiful interior is tremendous, likewise the gorgeous kitchen, especially that perfect countertop and additional lifting work/desk space. The deep sink with its built in drying rack was very well chosen and the kitchen itself was a masterpiece of compact, ergonomic perfection and a real joy to work in. The classic Tiny House sliding 'bathroom' door mechanism was beautifully constructed and saved space too, whilst the wetroom itself was the perfect balance between the ever present conundrum of practicality and size! I particularly loved the comprehensive, meticulously crafted Electrical Cabinet, with those beautifully neat and precise cable runs. Likewise the Water Systems Cabinet was set out superbly. These (especially the electrical) cabinets can be 'out of sight, out of mind' and suffer from appallingly designed and installed layouts and cable/pipe runs, but these were outstanding! That the wonderfully spacious living, dining, working and sleeping areas harmoniously meld into such a beautiful and well equipped home set within such a compact wheelbase is utterly remarkable!! In truth, this would be a hugely detailed and long post were I to list everything I loved, suffice to say that these two wonderful, highly motivated and skilled people have built themselves this truly outstanding and contemporary Travel Cabin which is both elegantly simple and simply elegant!
This is the best van I’ve ever seen! I love that they chose to separate the bathroom from the kitchen. I can’t imagine having to use the bathroom in the middle of the living space as most vans do.
You did a wonderfull job of narrating your van build, Your husband must be very talented to have done such beautiful work! The design and craftsmanship is first class! Good luck in your endeavors !
Not cluttered at all...it actually appears bigger because of the great use of interior space & the white paint. They also appear to be minimalist lifestyle. Very, very nice!!

Absolutely beautiful build! Clean looking with white and simplicity. The bare feet on the floor should be a must for all van dwellers (and stick and bricks dwellers too). Leave those shoes at the door instead of tracking in things from the ground and stores, etc. And I love the rug on cab floor. Hope it is washable. I have used a wet bath in a camper and it worked just fine. I put plastic over the toilet paper to keep it dry when showering. Very well thought out build.

Living in such a small space takes lots of compromise, imagine there is an argument, you can’t sleep on the couch. So get a personal tent and sleeping bed handy.

Yes, you made a good decision to get a van instead of a house. You save rent and have a blast! However, get a house at some point for the appreciation equity. When you have older kids is a good time. I’ve been searching for a year for the perfect van conversion and came to the conclusion wanting this exact pro master van 136 WB with a shower and toilet wasn’t going to be possible ! You proved me wrong! THIS is the conversion I want ! THANKYOU sooo much this is truly A beautiful conversion , if you have any blueprints or advice PLEASE let me know as I will be trying to make this myself with no previous experience , hopefully next year when I’ve saved enough to buy the van... I absolutely loved ❤️ The decor too and was wondering can you tell me how much you paid for the van ? and how much the actual conversion cost you separately? it will give me a good idea for my savings goal and how long it will take me! I don’t want to skimp on anything what you have is perfect for what I want ☺️
KA Last fall I purchased a beautiful 2014 high roof Promaster like this for $9,800. It had around 182,000 miles, and I love it! We moved across the country in it, and now I’m trying to build it. That was in the midwest; I wouldn’t even look on the west coast. Good luck!
Blurry Face I’m speaking of the United States. In the west, van living is so popular, it is hard to find a high roof for sale at a decent price, but in the midwest, you will find many more cargo vans available.
@@annecaulder9495 I have been looking for a decent price for a second hand high roof van in southern California (it is impossible, they either rust buckets, have 220k miles or are unaffordable). I may have to start widening my search and take a road trip or two
Blurry Face Oh yes, that will be impossible. Honestly, after we moved here, I considered selling my bare van because I probably could make a profit on it and it would have paid for our trip. I just don’t see any comparables here in western Washington. But I would think if you look east of Colorado, you should have more luck. But don’t be afraid of some reasonable miles ... cargo vans are built to go and go. A few years back I purchased a 2004 Sprinter high roof for $3,000 and it’s still going great. (My ex has it.) It ain’t pretty, but it does the job. (More like the outside of Max & Lee’s van.) Good luck!

I really love your little home on wheels. It gave me so many ideas. Like actually being able to have a bathroom and a microwave. I have not seen either beforehand. I was just thinking on the shelf next to the shower you could totally put an oven. Thats what im trying to figure out for myself and maybe sime hanging bowls under the kitchen cabinets for vegetables. I hope you like my ideas. Happy travels.
This is a beautiful build and well thought out plan. Love the clean lines with hints of color on white. The kitchen opening to the outside with the plants is so inviting. Perfect bathroom to do your business and leave. Not wearing shoes in any house is a big plus. Living minimally is rewarding to spend more time exploring and have the money to do numerous activities and to save your money 💜💜💜

i have to say, their use of airflow is excellent. you're living in a small space, so having good ventilation and natural light options will boost mood and open things up. love it. and that rear table was killer
Good thinking! We bought a house a couple of years ago and between the down payment, closing costs and mortgage insurance we could have bought a beautiful van and had money to live on. Great that you are doing this while you’re young.

Very nice tour of your wonderful van. The workmanship is excellent. Your lounge area is actually quite large. You did a great job showing us everything. Explanations were done so well. It's small but very well laid out and efficient. Love the fact that you have a complete bathroom. Storage isnt huge but for the two of you have enough. The outdoor table is fantastic. I could use that for my hobby on a nice low wind day too. Thank you for the tour. Enjoy your life touring the states. I like your beautiful smile. Keep up the minimalist lifestyle. Even after kids its the best way to live. They grow up not being greedy and learn to live enjoying less. Theres no way you can spoil a child living this way. I'm very impressed by your choices.
This build is very nice and practical. The way that this little space is used is genius. I have seen builds with larger vans that were a lot less practical. I will use this video for ideas and as a guide when i build my own van
Yeaahh!! This is the best van house I've seen so far! Bathroom, color scheme, homeliness, cooker, proper fridge, plants, sitting area and bed, microwave, adequate cabinets, everything! It's a complete home. Great job!

This layout is the closest I’ve seen to what I would do. Because I really believe the sitting/sleeping area is better when it’s lower to the ground and all one unit. For me it feels more spacious and more comfortable in such a small space.

Will you please lay out the conversation kits and where did you get them from...esp the wet bathroom and sliding door on the bathroom, details on the batteries, water tank kit, etc. I'm trying to make it easy in hope that my husband will build one for me.

Wow and what a great job! I love the Asian touches too, fish sauce, soy sauce and you have a place to take off your shoes. We just came back from living in Asia for 12+ years and everything seems to work well too. i really like the custom carpet you have in the front for removing your shoes. :) Nice job boss.
Yes and that carpet likely is helpful to save the squishy cab floor and wiring underneath that floor. I am going to do this as well! However I doubt I will drive without shoes - maybe house type slippers? And put shoes on before trekking outside? yah.
@windsofmarchjourneyperrytr2823 Illegal? Why? I've never heard of that and we've been in plenty of states. But I do it too when I'm wearing Crocs clogs. If it's an automatic I remove the right foot. If it's a stick I take both clogs off.

One of the cleanest, most elegant vans that I have seen, and it has a SHOWER! The plants really make a difference in turning it into a home.

I really love your little home on wheels. It gave me so many ideas. Like actually being able to have a bathroom and a microwave. I have not seen either beforehand. I was just thinking on the shelf next to the shower you could totally put an oven. Thats what im trying to figure out for myself and maybe sime hanging bowls under the kitchen cabinets for vegetables. I hope you like my ideas. Happy travels.
This is a beautiful build and well thought out plan. Love the clean lines with hints of color on white. The kitchen opening to the outside with the plants is so inviting. Perfect bathroom to do your business and leave. Not wearing shoes in any house is a big plus. Living minimally is rewarding to spend more time exploring and have the money to do numerous activities and to save your money 💜💜💜
It's simple yet elegant, beautiful and functional...the best thing it has a small full bathroom...
And it is aesthetically very pleasing

I love her calming voice! My husband and I were the same! We were about to buy a house to settle down, but got cold feet. Now we are living in a trailer and building a camper. Cheers to adventures and tiny living!
i have to say, their use of airflow is excellent. you're living in a small space, so having good ventilation and natural light options will boost mood and open things up. love it. and that rear table was killer
Good thinking! We bought a house a couple of years ago and between the down payment, closing costs and mortgage insurance we could have bought a beautiful van and had money to live on. Great that you are doing this while you’re young.
What a beautiful home you have. I Love how organized, & neat your whole home is. You guys should be so very proud of how your whole design turned out. Glad you won 😊 with herbs but you do have a catus as well, compromise is a good thing..

Very nice tour of your wonderful van. The workmanship is excellent. Your lounge area is actually quite large. You did a great job showing us everything. Explanations were done so well. It's small but very well laid out and efficient. Love the fact that you have a complete bathroom. Storage isnt huge but for the two of you have enough. The outdoor table is fantastic. I could use that for my hobby on a nice low wind day too. Thank you for the tour. Enjoy your life touring the states. I like your beautiful smile. Keep up the minimalist lifestyle. Even after kids its the best way to live. They grow up not being greedy and learn to live enjoying less. Theres no way you can spoil a child living this way. I'm very impressed by your choices.

I don’t normally get impress but this is definitely the best thought out build.
This build is very nice and practical. The way that this little space is used is genius. I have seen builds with larger vans that were a lot less practical. I will use this video for ideas and as a guide when i build my own van

Wonderful. I also remodeled my car and live in Japan. If you have a car, you have freedom. I'm glad there are people in the world with the same idea.
Even though I can't ever down size to this extent, I really love the design. It's so much functional as compared to other van designs
Yeaahh!! This is the best van house I've seen so far! Bathroom, color scheme, homeliness, cooker, proper fridge, plants, sitting area and bed, microwave, adequate cabinets, everything! It's a complete home. Great job!
As I can see, this is one of the most organised van I have seen. I really love what you planted in your van and those plants are full of energy. How nice 👍!

This layout is the closest I’ve seen to what I would do. Because I really believe the sitting/sleeping area is better when it’s lower to the ground and all one unit. For me it feels more spacious and more comfortable in such a small space.
So tidy, organized and neat. I love the minimalism, without lacking anything needed. Open and light. Great job!!🚙

Will you please lay out the conversation kits and where did you get them from...esp the wet bathroom and sliding door on the bathroom, details on the batteries, water tank kit, etc. I'm trying to make it easy in hope that my husband will build one for me.
I think she said the husband designed the whole interior and they worked on the build together.
I love the layout and the choice to include a microwave.
So elegant and beautiful van, and the music was perfect with the tour, so calming and just fit the van perfectly 😍 Even I could have liked to live in this van, and I am not into van life, I don’t even have a drivers license 😆

Wow and what a great job! I love the Asian touches too, fish sauce, soy sauce and you have a place to take off your shoes. We just came back from living in Asia for 12+ years and everything seems to work well too. i really like the custom carpet you have in the front for removing your shoes. :) Nice job boss.
Yes and that carpet likely is helpful to save the squishy cab floor and wiring underneath that floor. I am going to do this as well! However I doubt I will drive without shoes - maybe house type slippers? And put shoes on before trekking outside? yah.

Illegal? Why? I've never heard of that and we've been in plenty of states.
But I do it too when I'm wearing Crocs clogs. If it's an automatic I remove the right foot. If it's a stick I take both clogs off.
Well thought out. I like that the bed isn't high with a garage under it, but it still utilizes space for utilities.
