Try comparing both, in the same angle and location, esp. if difference on resolution and FOV are different. you also have lighting, the source of light must be from the same angle for comparison
People buy this nowadays for online classes and are concerned on what can be seen behind. NOT all have a studio type background at their disposal.
reekee Tiamson thanks for your comment and suggestion, my set up is not studio set up completely thats why i have 3 lighting conditions which they will use either one of it. The light is sufficient enough for both cameras. Its more like a key light and not a light that will blast for the entire room. Fov is different, since I already upscaled the 720p camera in the video :) in my next comparison i will surely take note of this thank you
Good catch! I was supposed to give the same comments. just the same angle, same lighting... also mention if thi is a sponsored redragon review. also any mention of upside of the software. for my experience the software capability..and reliance... not using OBS..not everyone uses OBS.
Nice review though a comparison would have been better if the cameras were positioned the same location.
I fix that with other comparison video :)
for those concerned with always adjusting settings when using, you can make a custom LUT with those settings and apply it in the filters

same here also.. didn't know software was so important... Only perhaps you could have also done comparison of the built in mics from both Webcams. that would be interesting..

The problem here is that the GW800 is much more expensive than the C270 now. It is FOUR TIMES the price where I live: the GW800 costs US$610,00-equivalent whereas the C270 costs just US$143,00 -equivalent. This is a huge difference in price that explains why the GW800 is much better.

@Emerson Responde, I did check the Avermedia PW313 and all I can say it they are similar in terms of quality... maybe just a better out of the box settings compare to GW800 since as I mentioned in the video you need to tweak it. The selling point of AverMedia is their streaming package making it looks cheap

Hey jill, will you be using it for streaming or conference? if its for Streaming and its via OBS. Make sure to add a section that is beside the scene for Video capture device. from that you can see the word configure or advance settings and pretty much you can tweak it by that... if its microsfot.. there will be a settings in the video option... unfortunately if you will use it with skype and omegele or facebook video call.. i dont think there are any option to adjust

7:27, dont talk about the sensor, it depends on the processor chip of the camera on how it processes the pixels...
also, the logitech has more bigger lens than redragon gw800, the lens of the redragon is just maxed out to 70+ degree angle
Marc Jefferson Montilla thats the field of view when you refer to the 70 degrees. It has something to do on how the lens is made not on the how big the lens is
You might be right with the processor of logitech being better but i have my fair knowledge in comes to cameras, lenses and if im correct same thing applies with webcams and sensors :)

I think do yes, since its a plug and play webcam that uses usb 2.0 so i think it will work :) it will install its drivers once it is plugged

Hi can u compare REDRAGON VS HIKVISION U02
How would you say this compares to a logitech c920, c922, or razer kiyo? I know this is almost half of the price of those 3 but picture quality was, what do you think?
With the price i would say they are the best alternative right now, its hard to see the quality if you are going to watch it in mobile but in a monitor or tv you would say that it does it job perfectly... but the downside as I said is you need to tweak it to get the best look. Compares to what you mentioned of course the logitech series is still by far the winner here but for the price you wont get wrong with this one soecially if you dont want to spend too much as a starter to content streaming
C920 and C922 is still better compared to Redragon GW800. I also have this webcam. The problem with this GW800 is low light. You need plenty of background lights with this camera because if you adjust the gamma, brightness, and contrast you will already see some image noise. To get a good image with this GW800, the webcam settings should be default only and then just put as much light to make it brighter.
C920 and C922 is really good when it comes to low light and sharpness. If you increase the sharpness in GW800, the image is kinda pixalated, but anyways, it is still better compared to C270 and the price is good for an alternative camera.

I think I might buy the razer kiyo at gamestop because I can trade my xbox one that I barely play anymore and get the kiyo for less than $30. The logitechs are so hard to come by right now. I've been using an old iphone 7 with a third party app as my webcam since I started streaming. It does the job but I think an actual webcam will be better in the long run.

The problem with my C270 is it is very zoom in.
Thats because its 720p so in terms of actual resolution it doesnt have much and the field of view is less

@@krystaliamazingly tbh id stay away from it since it has a low fps count and still low field of view also its one of the old models so it should not be clear… your best chance is c270 and above…

I think when you use skype it will use its default settings.. Its one of my problem with cheap webcam is fhey dont have stand alone drivers

hey genius, resolution will not have any impact on the FoV, that's purely dependant on the lens on the camera not the resolution. what the resolution can influence is the clarity of the image due to increased pixel count you may get a better image overall. if you have 2 dslrs assuming both have the same processing engine but only differ in the overall resolution and use 1 fixed lens you will find that it's the same on both one is just more pixel dense and have a little more detail than the other.

in theory no... since most webcams are locked in 30fps... but you can try adjusting its settings on OBS
It appears the the c270 is much better in low light. In the c270 the whole left side of your face is lit up, whereas in the Redragon the left side of your face is dark, dark, dark.
yeah... but then again you can still calibrate the redragon... one of my angst is that the out of the box settings is not good

Imo, they are the same... its just that gsou out of the box setting looks better due to that its already tweak to look brighter. I dont personally have the gsou but as I see in the videos it is similar

Mickay and Ella's Playtime well c270 is only 720p resolution, i know its fine if you are going to use it for personal or zoom classes. But what makes gw800 better is you are getting 1080p which is much better imo than 720, youll look more natural and less laggy in when doing calls since it is a fix 30fps compare to 720 that only has 25 and usually drops if it compensates with the lighting condition

charlez atentar thanks for the comment... the thing is we all know logitech produce good camera... the reason its between these two is majority ng tao has the c270... so its more like making them choose whether to upgrade to gw800 or not if ung fobos kasi hindi siya magiging upgrade and with the price point people will still go with c270

I would say go with GW800 not only that the field of view is wider it has a better frame rate than the C270 plus 1080p reso

People have the same problem and to be honest cant tell you direcrly why, gw800 light output is on the low side as i mentioned of the sensor being small but you can try adjusting the settings such as brightness and gama in obs as greenscreem is pretty much dependent on light and make sure you are well lit

Hi po the mirror functionality is usually cause by which software you are using the camera with.. in my tests its not mirror

C270 has its own drivers and does not depend sa windows 10 so yes mag stick ung setting sa OBS even after you close it
