So happy to see someone come visit and really have a blast! This has been “my” mountain to climb and ski for 54 years. I’m a solo backpacker too- and have hiked the TT 3 times! You did a fantastic job!
This video holds a special place in my heart. I remember sending it to my dad one night while he was working and he watched it on his lunchbreak. I was going into my senior year of high school back in 2021, and I asked him if we could go on this hike after I graduated as my senior trip. He happily said yes. I live in NorCal and this would be about a 6 hour drive I believe. Later that year, he unexpectedly passed away in his sleep at the age of 52. He was my best friend. My dad was the kindest, smartest, loving, and most hardworking man I ever knew. We spent a lot of time in the outdoors together, since my mom and sister weren't entirely fond of hikes. We went fishing, backpacking, hiking, and geocaching a lot. Dad, I promise I'll hike this trail for you one day. Your son loves you.
FYI for future hikers: There is a campsite behind the hotel up at the main parking lot. Showers and bathrooms nearby, and a wonderful buffet breakfast in the lodge in the morning
I can't imagine what it must have been like setting up your camera, walking, and then stopping to go back and and get it... Thank you so much for all the hard work you put into this video!! :)
Hey m an just subbed to your channel. I wanted to tell you thanks for letting me live vicariously through you I’m 50 yrs old and about 5 yrs ago I had an injury that made me 100% disabled. I can barely walk and have to walk with the assistance of a cane. Watching you hike and explore allows me to see nature and kind of do things that I can never see or do for myself. Thank you and keep up the great work!
Hi. Sorry to hear about your injury. I'm 51 and lucky to still be going strong. If you liked this video, I encourage you to check out my channel. I have been hiking solo for 30 years. I have dozens of videos of my hikes in the Canadian Rockies, so as long as 9-days and 100 miles. I visit places that most humans only ever dream of. Cheers.
Hey there, sorry for the late response but I wanted to say that I am really glad we are able to bring the world to you in a way. It always makes me happy to know that our videos have made a difference for people :)
Story's like yours make me so humble. If you like to see hiking and other stuff in Turkey than hop along on my journey. I am 56 and the thought of a body that does not do what I want scares me. I am preparing to hike the famous Lycian Way in September.
I stumbled onto this video early last year and decided this was a trail I needed to do. Bought a ticket and flew across the country by myself to hike it last August. It was pretty different than when you filmed, there were wildflowers everywhere and a ton of super friendly hikers. Hiking this trail was with out a doubt my favorite experience and a turning point in my life! So thank you for uploading such amazing videos and inspiring me and others to hike one of the most beautiful trails out there. -Willy Wonka
I live 40 minutes from Mt hood it's a beautiful place year around skiing or hiking. Nice camping spots tent or campers, tiny houses, cabins, hotels motels to rent,.
I have watched hundreds and hundreds of backpacking videos over the years and have never seen one so fantastically filmed and inviting as this one. Your style gave the since that we were with you. Thanks for the effort.
I just stumbled upon this video (I'm self-isolating) and after I saw how long it was, I thought I would only watch a few minutes. Next thing I know, 40 minutes have passed and I'm having a great time. It's like food for my mind. I don't know how you keep it interesting but you do and I'm so glad because now I have some videos to watch to pass the time. I feel like I'm there and I can't wait to get out of the house after this pandemic is over and go on a hike.
I confess when I saw it was a buck and a half long, I figured I've give it a quick gander ... I did speed/skip watch it, but enjoyed all I saw and lingered at places ... and followed "the plot" thru to the end... GOOD SHOW ! :-)
Thank you for this wonderful video. You were so right when you said how a video like this is a gift to those of us who will never be able to hike those trails but thanks to you we can see the splendor of this world through your camera lens. Thank you and I am so glad you didn't get blown off the top of the mountain in crazy strong winds. Happy New Year and Health, Safety and Peace on all your hikes.
Thanks for the memories. I did this trail with my Golden Retriever about 30 years ago in my early 30s. Started Day 1 leaving from Timberline Lodge and finished the loop in the mid-afternoon of Day 3. I had one scary moment early on when I twisted a knee less than a mile from the Lodge and thought I might have to cancel. But after doing a few knee bends I was able to soldier on. Lots of rain Day 2. I actually ran into some people I knew on Day 3 while crossing the open area through the rocks where the trail gets really hard to follow. The White River was much higher when I crossed it, and I emerged on the other side soaking wet. I still remember the long slog up the mountain after crossing that river. I had pretty much bonked at that point and had to stop about every 100 yards to catch my breath. When I got home, my dog slept for three days straight, lol. Good times.
Hahaha poor dog. I just hiked it yesterday. It was funny watching this video. I did it in two days though. I had the same problem with rain on the south east side all the way to the lodge. Soaked. Everyone should do it at least once.
One of the things I find refreshing about your videos is the lack of focus on gear. You’re using an inexpensive, but reliable stove, a stainless steel cup, a standard Kelty pack, etc. Great to see that some RUclipsrs are “keeping it real”. i.e.- You don’t need to dump massive amounts of cash on your gear to get out there. Thank you! I live in Portland and am doing this trail for the first time next month.
wizard unfortunately, the weather took a pretty serious turn for the worse here on the weekend I had planned to go. We had our first snow and below freezing temperatures. I am not equipped to deal with that yet with my current system. Will most definitely be doing this one next summer.
@@deuce1606 Unfortunately, it is with great regret that we inform you that Tom never returned from his hike. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, sandals and a UCLA hoodie. He was also carrying a Jansport backpack with 2 bottles of Gatorade, a chicken sandwich and a bag of chips. We still hope to see him again when he returns.
I did not expect to be watching a hiking vlog for an hour and a half. I have to say I subbed in the first 10 minutes and was thoroughly entertained with your charisma, jokes and wit. I felt like a friend on the trail and had to complete the hike with you. I look forward to exploring more of your videos and going on journeys with you again. Cheers for the content. :-)
@@AdventureArchives I found it really calming actually. I love the outdoors but I live in the Netherlands... The closest thing to wilderness is a full day of driving away. Strange as it sounds, this is a really fulfilling alternative!
How this channel only have 60k subs is beyond me! I am «late to the party» as I discovered the channel through this episode. Have been binge-watching since. Quality content/filming/editing for years. Keep it up guys!
I have been watching you tube exclusively for the last 3 years. I watch NFL ball on TV and that's it. This 1.5 hour video If it is not the best I have watched I can't remember the one that was better. Your banter made the scenic hike so enjoyable. Your articulated thoughts made the video very very real. Thank you. You gave credit to the crew that put this together and they are to be commended. Music 10 out of 10 , video 10 out of ten , and the main character who is a character 10 out of 10.
My husband and I came across this video and became hooked. It is so great to see someone so young finding the beauty in what this world has to offer. Thank you.
I love being able to hear you're hiking banter and reflection while on the trail. It was really interesting, relatable, and entertaining. Your sense of humor is great too Haha.
So cool, having hiked from the Florida Trail, to the Gila in souther N M, the A T, San Juan’s, Glacier NP, and so many more over the last 45 years it’s the uncontrollable laugh that I identified with the most. All the uphill, cold, rain/snow, crossing swollen streams, crawling over downed timber, all of it are worth the stupid laughter upon seeing trails end. We all love it and that’s why we do it again and again. Thanks Robby!
I'm from Portland and have done this trail and have gone skiing on mount hood, this is the most well-done video and does the landscape justice very well. Super stoked to see this video on the channel.
My bestie lives in Portland and I've visited her now a couple of times. Suffice to say, I laughed every time the rain came unexpectedly. Rain suddenly was the most expected weather. XD
I almost didn't watch this because it was long and I live in SW Washington, so I know how awesome the forests are. Then when you said it was the easiest hike you have ever done, unlike where you're from, I had to watch the rest of it. When you were toward the other side and saying it was the hardest hike you have ever done I decided I like you. You have a lot of heart to go out into the living forests of the PNW and do a distance like that by yourself, not being from here. I hope you come back someday and learn to appreciate the rain. Without it this place wouldn't be what it is. Rain makes your heart grow. Good hike. Thanks for sharing.
Watching this again for the second time. You are an inspiration to me. Thank you for being a part of getting me out of my depression and back into the woods where I belong.
Nice, Robby! Dude, I really appreciate how real and upfront you are about the never ending “almost there, almost done” ascents. How many times I’ve said that to myself in the backcountry. Awwwhhhh...The torture but thrill of it all!
Awesome, AWESOME video. We as viewers I think don't take into consideration that your hiking 40 miles but then you add all the steps where you set up the camera walk back up the trail so you can do a walk by then walk back to retrieve the camera. Very well shot video I raise my trekking pole to you!
Even though you published your video on RUclips two years ago, that 40 mile hike was timeless and epic. Thanks for taking us along with you on the Pacific Trail Crest journey, Andrew! Stay safe!
As so many other people have said, "way too long, not gonna watch"...1.5hrs later, "That was great!" As an aspiring hiking vlogger myself, I am so inspired by this video. Thank you so much for putting in all the extra work to make it. I know for a fact how long it takes to get all those shots. I love that you make about the same amount of milage that I do when filming. Makes me feel more normal. 😁 Some of those long distance hikers can really book it! I also love how you just talk to your audience. I find myself doing that when I hike alone. Most of it never even makes it into the finished video, but I never feel lonely. 🤣 Thank you also for testing out the sleeping naked idea. I've always wondered, but since I am a cold sleeper, I've never been brave enough to try it out. Now I don't have to. 😊 Absolutely LOVE that view at 46:23. So glad you caught that on camera. So stunning! And I love your thoughts about being challenged by nature. Thank you once again for taking us along on your amazing adventure and then taking the time to do all the editing afterward. It's an awesome piece and makes me want to hike that particular trail even more than I did before.
Just hiked the PCT in 2018, to answer your question at 6:00 it was absolutely mesmerizing. My group of buddies and I yogi'd a ride down to the bottom of the mountain to government camp and got beers, came back up to the lodge, and had a hiker only showing of the shining. needless to say it was a well needed, and earned pitstop after hiking for 3 months on end.
Awesome video! My wife, daughter and I do lots of backpacking and there's no better feeling than coming over that last ridge and seeing your car in the parking lot!
I wanted to thank you for this video. It helped me, in a big way, prep before I did the trail last Aug, and it is a go to video for me now when I need some calming good memories. You captured the essence of this trail and the magic that it holds. I come back and watch some of this video any time i feel stressed or overwhelmed and you take me back to my time there. It was one of the most awesome experiences I have ever had outdoors and I still keep in touch with some friends that I made in those short 3 days! Keep up the great work I know a lot of people appreciate your efforts!
I know this is an old video. It was great thanks you for taking us with you. You mentioned how much a gesture or doing something nice for some one. I wanted to comment. Myself being slightly disabled but love the out doors your videos mean alot to me I can see the beautiful world though your eyes and others like you. To do something nice for someone even saying hello or something more can mean the world. Some people who have really bad days someone doing something good, nice to them can mean the world and change the place their in. You seem like a real genuine person. Thanks again if actually get to read this as it's an old one.
I've lived in the Willamette valley area for 44 years and look at that mountain every day yet have never been there or seen this trail. It is beautiful country and living anywhere else would never feel right to me. The air here is fresh the mountains are green and you're only minutes away from the forest, I need to start trail hiking its calling me .... Thanks for sharing this beautiful gem that is literally in my back yard😁
Great video! I solo hiked the Timberline about a month before you made this video after seeing it gracing the cover of Backpacker Magazine. Your thoughts, comments, hesitations, and emotions are exactly what I experienced (right down to the winds on the Gnarl Ridgeline) and now I can show my boys (your age) what I did! It's a shame the last day was raining for you. I found the vistas amazing in my early morning hours of hiking out which added to the joy of finishing. Thank you for all the hard work in creating it. There was little 'visual' information on the hike before this.
Here I am, 03:00 and I couldn't sleep so decided to check out RUclips and this video was a recommendation. Figured I'd start watching it and maybe it would get me to sleep. Fat chance! This was absolutely awesome! Truly one of the very best videos I've ever watched. Much better content than television. I live vicariously through awesome and incredible people like you because as much as I love the outdoors, I just can't do hiking. My fear of the wildlife is crippling, unfortunately. So, I'll enjoy them through you. Definitely subscribed. Keep the videos coming.
Two things you said that where in my mind, one that how many parts of the world we have not seen, and sounds like never will. I added the last part. The other was that thanks to you tube we get to see what we won't in person. Thank you for documenting your journey, I sure enjoyed every place you showed us. I will in person not ever see unless I watch your videos. Thank you. It brings back memories of where I grew up, as a child in Mexico, the streams and small rivers beautiful. Thank you again.
holy smokes this is so beautiful. and to think you saw all that in only 3 days. wow. Brilliantly filmed too mate. I'd love to visit the US and see stuff like this, forget Times Square, Las Vegas etc. The US has some of the most incredible scenery
Thanks for taking us along! We.didnt do enough hiking when we were your age and you are so engaging and so full of energy. We do enjoy you and your photography and appreciate what your doing. Keep it up!😊
"the hardest hike I have ever done" I feel you. Last month I hiked the entire Panamint Range and there was so many times that I just thought "Im done", but seeing the trail cut in front of me and one foot in front of the other, eventually it came to an end and that feeling was glorious. Love your content
Man. This video surprised me in the best way. As a hiking video it's absolutely excellent. Overall just well composed. But the casual conversation about experiences and childhood. I wouldn't say I've been in a rut by any means, for all intents I've been both comfortable, healthy and creative lately but there's been somewhat of a feeling of going in circles, or maybe not just reaching far enough in terms of comfort and challenge. And this video really gave me an unexpected boost. Will watch your other content over the coming weeks! Cheers from a very cold Sweden :)
I rarely watch long vids When this one came across my recommended list I figured I'd watch 15 min or so. Well I was hooked and watched the whole thing. I've only hiked the east coast so this is a great way for me to "explore" until I can get out west. Beautifully shot & entertaining! Subscribed :)
I've watched this like 15 times or so. Your videos really help me chill out during a very stressful time. Thank you for doing these. I really and truly appreciate you.
I solo hiked the Timberline Trail over 3 days in early July, 25 years ago. The biggest difference between early summer and late October is the number of snow field slope crossings (from many to apparently none) and the amount of snow melt (climate change may also be a factor). My Sandy River crossing, on a wet and slippery log, over 20 feet of deep and raging river) remains my most terrifying experience in the back country- way more than my encounter with an aggressive black bear in the Adirondacks, although my night of thunderstorms on a ridge in WV came close. Although much of the TT seems to have changed, so many of your beautiful images took me right back. Thank you so much for making and sharing this, as well as for all your videos of my favorite backpacking trails in PA, WV and the Daks.
The Mt. Hood National Forest covers more than a million acres of pristine wilderness. The dominant tree species is Douglas Fir, with over 350,000 acres of "old growth" forest. The passive nature of streams you forded has everything to do with time of year you did this hike. At other times of the year those streams can swell to raging rapids that are many times over the width, depth, current and volume of what you experienced on this hike. PS: That "good stuff made by Mountain House" that you're eating is also from Oregon. It started out as LRP rations for those of us that were exploring the scenic countryside of Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia, and were greatly appreciated by all.
@@hippyfrog False, actually. There are thousands of old growth forest still intact, much of it located in remote pockets or in wilderness areas. Although, definitely over half of the Mt Hood NF is not old growth forest anymore-mainly second and third growth. Lots of clear cuts, too, I won't deny that either. The MHNF is in my backyard, only 30 minutes away. I can name specific places you can find old growth, such as the Rho Creek area, the Bull of the Woods Wilderness, along Flett Creek Trail in the Badger Creek Wilderness, and along much of the Clackamas River Trail, just to name a few.
Great job Dude !!! By far the best real, sincere, & professionally edited hiking vid I have ever seen ! Crap I need to go to bed to recover from just watching...
Wowza, 40 miles alone on the trail (while going back and forth for the tripod).... not to mention all that time editing + creating music... so impressive! Thank you Robby!
Come check my 100 mile, 9-day solo in the Canadian Rockies. I'm sure you'll enjoy it. At one point I was at least 40 miles from the nearest other human being. And I'm 51, and still going strong. Cheers.
Thank you for posting this video. I have lived 45 minutes north of Portland my whole life. The scenery is so beautiful! I wish I could hike it myself, but I have an extreme fear of heights and would not be able to make it. But being able to watch it on RUclips is extremely close! This made my day to watch. Thank you again!
Just watched this video--my first time viewing any video by Robby Huang. I'm pretty blown away by his work here. I'm an avid day hiker in the Appalachians of NC, and greatly enjoyed seeing the scenery and trail conditions of this one high in Oregon. For me to spend 90+ minutes watching this is huge--but I was won over early by the adventure, the scenery and the winning and exuberant personality of this young man. He made me want to hear more of his enjoyable and insightful narration. He's a fine story-teller, host and adventurer wrapped in one--he made me care about this trip and his experience of it. This is better than many nature programs on cable TV! Thanks so much for sharing this with us Robby, and best of luck to you...
Thank you so much for your kind words! So glad you enjoyed the video! It really means a lot to us to receive comments like yours, so thank you for watching and sharing your thoughts :)
Robby I just started watching these Adventure Archives..... being stuck in Quarantine Status took the bordem away by watching these videos. Thank you so much..... Im glad they are captioned too because I am deaf without my hearing aides but the Scenic views are Awesome. I also think you look like Keanu Reeves one of my favorite down to earth kind of guys :) Thank you so much for sharing these adventures that I wished I could of experienced in my younger years......... Keep up the good work.
I had this video in my 'watch later' playlist for a long time until the other day I got interested in hiking again as summer is getting close. I watched a few other hiking videos from other random channels first, but the reason I liked this one the best was Robby. The other videos just focused on the views, but the way Robby talks to the camera and takes us along to the journey with him, really sucked me in and I've now binged the whole channel basically and gotten familiar with the other guys as well. Really enjoying all of your videos

I love you guys so much. In many ways, you three are my Bear Grylls. In terms of hiking, appreciation of natural beauty, and videography. So thank you.
Great video enjoyed very much, sound track fitted really well. Is this soundtrack available for download anywhere. Keep up the good work. John from the UK
First time I watched your video. Fantastic! I’ll have to plan a trip to Timberline trail! Mt.Kumotori? Are you part Japanese? I’m not familiar with Kumotori, it must spell as 雲取山、”mt. Cloud catcher”
Great adventure. Great sharing. I started watching this 30 mins in, some time after work yesterday, just from my attraction to nature's serenity and the wisdom shared by our host Robby. Today, in the morning, I woke up wanting to finish watching the rest of this mesmerizing adventure. Definitely worth it. Thank you for putting in that good positive work! Also, the very last snippet killed me 😂💨
I thoroughly enjoyed this video. I’m a native Oregonian, still live here, love hiking in the middle of nowhere & never tire of the beauty. You’re a great personality & it felt like I was there with you. Thanks for taking us along!
love this guy. charming, sincere.. not a poser or a moaner, has done his research and has a very genuine nature to his narrative. bravo - no selfie, influencer posers. thanks for loving our OREGON! xox
Thank you!! I am heading to the Timberline Trail in mid Aug 19 and, although your video took a small bit of adventure out of my trip, it took a LOT of anxiety out about the unknown. I was unsure if I could do this trail in 4 days, but now, yes! Full steam ahead!! You were fun and interesting to watch and I sincerely appreciate your effort. I know this video took a LOT of extra work during the hike so a big THANKS!
I really appreciate you filming this trip. I'm 64 and have been paralyzed more than half my life. The first half of my life I spent working and didn't get to go outdoors like I always wanted to as you were doing there is a good chance. Get to travel overseas in the Navy for a couple years. I also spent two years on Guam on a air sea rescue boat and had many adventures trail there. I'm really glad I got to do that when I was young because now not only am I paralyzed but recently lost my left leg
I saw this video once and immediately planned the entire trip in three days. This Friday I'm going to embark on this trip and document the whole thing. Just wanted to say thanks for being hugely inspirational.
I worked at Timberline & lived in Gov'y for a few years, did a ton of exploring in every direction around the mountain, but never got to do the Tline trail. RUclips has decided that this is a default autoplay for me, & I 💚 getting to see so many images from my favorite place in the world, and you appreciating it as much as I do. Highly recommend going into the lodge to look around, maybe get a bite or a drink. Wishing you many more wonderful adventures!
I swear when you were talking it was like I was sitting RIGHT THERE having a conversation with you. I found myself laughing and answering back to you 😂
I was waiting & it didn't take long, @9:23 he runs right into his 1st sign of Sasquatch. They make those tree arches. Some as high as 50+ feet. If he were to follow that exit sign and go off trail, It's likely there will be additional tree structures, breaks, x's, and arches. Sometimes they lead you right into an area where you could end up having quite the life changing experience.
For handicapped people like me ,,, i really loved camping and hiking and now i can only hike maybe a mile or so after my open heart surgery. I really loved this hike and i watched it the whole way thru on BIG Screen. I felt like i was there. Thank you.
man that was really amazing, one epic journey and Hike. Truly enjoyed this and happy to have found your channel well done and great moral when conditions are rough.
Wow amazing video and beautiful scenery. A lot of the things you said are things I find myself thinking a lot too, especially the part about how it’s crazy that everyone is just doing their own thing/ society. Great editing and filming skills. Not everyone can make a 1.5 hour video interesting for the entire length. Subbed.
After a long week at work, I am watching this video in bed on Saturday. It’s giving me that lovely feeling of Saturday morning cartoons from when I was a kid. Such an enjoyable video.
This video came up on my reccomendations about two years ago, height of the pandemic. It introduced me to AdventureArchives, and along with a renewed love for fishing, rekindled my enthusiam for camping! Within 6 months I had already picked up some used gear on REI's online gear market, and started getting out there! So thank you to Robbie, and all the other guys, for getting me out of the city and into the woods 🙌🏻🙌🏻
loved the part in the beginning when you said "imagine hiking the PCT and then finally getting to the timberline lodge. Wouldn't that be great?" It most definitely was haha the breakfast buffet is a PCT hikers dream.
I haven’t been on a backpacking trip since covie. Other health issue hit me at the same time. Your vids are delightful and inspiring. I enjoy the quality. I live in forest now and love it. My days back to backpacking are getting close! Thank you for sharing your hike! ❤️ “Peachyhiker”
Stunning footage. I'm very glad for RUclips creators like you. I get to see locations that I will never see in person. AA videos are always uplifting Thank you Robby
My old stomping grounds. I lived on Mt Hood and worked the ski areas. The trees are most Douglas fir. Pine trees have long needles and are east of Mt Hood.
Leaving your pack can be a crucial mistake and put your life in danger, if some punks thought it would be funny to hide it, then you'd be without food and shelter, be careful and id say for all people reading this, never leave your pack behind, also stay safe, Thousands of people have become missing and disappeared off the face of this earth inside national forest. GREAT video btw, so beautiful.
As someone who had there pack stolen from the side of a trail in California, while having a look around, I agree. However, it was a very popular area in my case.

Where did you get the paper map? Great video. Totally appreciate you sharing your experience. Thanks.
Your son loves you.
hey sorry to hear about your Dad, and heartwarming to see your love for him. I lost mine 3 years ago, and he was fairly young too.
He will walk with you every step you take
It must have been brutal having to stop and film 1000 times, then edit hours of footage! Thanks for sharing.
the move on and then get back to stop the camera thing is really killing me even just to think about it
Hiking is awesome if I find a hiking girl in Germany
I never understood filming yourself walking away like that. Seems a bit too staged for me.
@@JP-jn2yx it's obviously staged... but it's just a filming style. I enjoy those shots.
@@ecksluss Same. Those shots help me see myself on the trail and as a pretty new hiker, I really appreciate that perspective.
FYI for future hikers:
There is a campsite behind the hotel up at the main parking lot. Showers and bathrooms nearby, and a wonderful buffet breakfast in the lodge in the morning
Sometimes when the world gets you down a little, you need to find something to watch that's inspiring. Thank-you for this gift
allway look on the the bright side of life do,do do do,do do do,do.
THERE IS ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS SOMETHING TO BE GRATEFUL FOR. I LOVED THIS VIDEO!!!!!!
You just made me cry sir I wish you the best.
Check out the solo hikes of Kraig Adams - he has an incredibly cinematic hiking channel here on RUclips!

Awesome!!!
I absolutely agree!
GOOD SHOW ! :-)
I would never fast forward or skip through your videos, they are awesome and they keep a person's attention! 🤗🤗
Have you herd any growls or any knocks on the trees and any screaming? Got anything to keep Bigfoot away lol. God Bless you and enjoy you hike.
That's awesome!
Poor sweet babe! I bet that he was a very tired doggy! 😍🐕🐾
Did you go?? How was it?
wizard unfortunately, the weather took a pretty serious turn for the worse here on the weekend I had planned to go.
We had our first snow and below freezing temperatures.
I am not equipped to deal with that yet with my current system.
Will most definitely be doing this one next summer.
@@happyfuntimereviews5600 Did you ever make the hike?

Unfortunately, it is with great regret that we inform you that Tom never returned from his hike.
Absolutely loved this video. From the editing, the music, the unscripted humor, to the scenery. Made my day, good job!
My dad built Timberline Lodge. Fun to watch this.
Wow cool. Did he see any Sasquatch?
I had a brother who worked at the Lodge for over 20 yrs. He often spoke about how much he loved it there!....
wow thats amazing

Me seeing this video in my recommendations: I'm never gonna watch that, that's way too long...
Me, one and a half hours later: That was awesome!
Haha, not the first person to say that actually. But thank you for watching!
@@AdventureArchives I found it really calming actually. I love the outdoors but I live in the Netherlands... The closest thing to wilderness is a full day of driving away. Strange as it sounds, this is a really fulfilling alternative!
@@cvbattum I live in london and feel the exact same way! Maybe one day we'll be able to make these adventures ay? ;)

Same 🤣 but wow this is fantastic footage and fun! I have now added this to my trail dream sheet.
This 1.5 hour video
If it is not the best I have watched I can't remember the one that was better. Your banter made the scenic hike so
enjoyable. Your articulated thoughts made the video very very real. Thank you. You gave credit to the crew that put this
together and they are to be commended. Music 10 out of 10 , video 10 out of ten , and the main character who is a
character 10 out of 10.
Haha, indeed!
You have inspired me going solo camping first time in July.
How’d it go?
Thank you also for testing out the sleeping naked idea. I've always wondered, but since I am a cold sleeper, I've never been brave enough to try it out. Now I don't have to. 😊
Absolutely LOVE that view at 46:23. So glad you caught that on camera. So stunning! And I love your thoughts about being challenged by nature.
Thank you once again for taking us along on your amazing adventure and then taking the time to do all the editing afterward. It's an awesome piece and makes me want to hike that particular trail even more than I did before.
Whoa wasn't prepared for such a great feature length vlog
Ahh Willamette... we need to get there one day you're lucky to live there.. and the wine is so great too. ruclips.net/video/4uHNDPNRx44/видео.html
Loved every minute of this! Keep on keeping on!
Great video, a few years ago I travelled from London just to do this trail and it was amazing! Cold but amazing!
Mt hood has zero old growth forests. It has all been cut and monocultured with Doug fir.
The last big river crossing before the lodge often washes out the highway in the spring. Late season hikes are always super dry.
The whole video is spectacular. I can't believe you all composed the music, too. That part was so well done, the melodies fit every scene.
Great job Dude !!! By far the best real, sincere, & professionally edited hiking vid I have ever seen ! Crap I need to go to bed to recover from just watching...
Love your enthusiasm, photography and music! Thanks! I felt like I was hiking with you vicariously!
Came here to say that!

Nice adventure Robby, thanks for taking us along!
Cheers.
One of my favorite AA video's yet...great job.
I am simply in awe, it's 00.35am I stayed up to finish watching and have not been disappointed

I had this video in my 'watch later' playlist for a long time until the other day I got interested in hiking again as summer is getting close. I watched a few other hiking videos from other random channels first, but the reason I liked this one the best was Robby. They make those tree arches. Some as high as 50+ feet. If he were to follow that exit sign and go off trail, It's likely there will be additional tree structures, breaks, x's, and arches.
Sometimes they lead you right into an area where you could end up having quite the life changing experience.

man that was really amazing, one epic journey and Hike.
Subbed.

Agree.
As someone who had there pack stolen from the side of a trail in California, while having a look around, I agree. However, it was a very popular area in my case.
always tell others where you plan to be camping or hiking
