As a Hoosier who grew up camping I can’t get enough of this channel. I don’t remember the last thing I came across that made me smile this much. I just graduated college and it can feel like there’s enormous pressure to “be successful” or climb the corporate ladder. This is exactly what I needed to remind me to slow down and go back to what actually makes me happy. I can’t thank you guys enough for sharing this amazing content.
Now I’m rounding up my friends and we’re hittin the trail. Adventure on.

27:48 A tornado blew across Minister Valley west to east in June of 2015, knocking down many trees. This "brambly" portion of the trail is where young brush and vegetation is filling in, in response to the full sunlight conditions created by the tornado.
Also: "if this was the brambly section they had mentioned, it wasn't all that bad." That's because our organization, Friends of Allegheny Wilderness, did an extensive trail stewardship weekend all around the Minister loop trail this past April, and cut all that brush way back through there at that time! 😁👍🏻

@@AdventureArchives Love the Minister Valley area. I recognized pretty much every view, every tree, every stream crossing, etc. you showed in your video.
Did you know that Minister Valley is a prospective wilderness area, set to become permanently protected by law from all forms of development under the Wilderness Act of 1964 as part of America's National Wilderness Preservation System? :)

A year ago today, I did a day hike to the summit of Mt. Whitney. I was in a bit of a hurry and a significant portion of it was in the dark so I missed the little pathway down to Mirror Lake off the main trail. So yesterday, I decided to do a day hike to Mirror Lake and on the way there from the trailhead, I ran into a group of people getting in a little practice before doing their own trip to the summit today. One of the guys saw my Adventure Archives sunset t-shirt and said he loved the shirt and that Adventure Archives is one of his favorite RUclips channels. Reppin' the 'Chives!!!

This was my first backpacking trip as a 10-year old. That was 32 years ago. Those two brushy sections you crossed were the result of a microburst that ran down and up the valley about 10 years ago. Sadly, some campers lost their lives. It completely changed the landscape. Now, there is a beaver dam at the base of that overgrow trail you tried to take to the west on day one. It will take a generation at least to get back to normal. Thanks for the video.

We camped at the exact site you guys were at for night 2 maybe two weeks before you were there. We had ourselves a little spiritual experience around that fire. I sat on that throne up against the one tree for a good portion of the night.

Hands down, without a doubt this is THEE best episode of Adventure Archives ever...and that is saying a LOT considering all of your episodes are hands down some of the best outdoor trekking videos on the planet. Just incredible guys! PS: Andrew, I thoroughly enjoyed the long, slow, close-ups of your left toes while trying to round-wood some fire. #FabulousFeet

A very good adventure. Thank you. Your short clips at the end were hilarious, the best of all the ones up to this point that I've seen. I like how Andrew is incorporating more of his Gung Fu into your shows and especially into those short clips.

I really like all your videos and you guys being not so old yet so mature in your concepts in life and it’s aspects ! I am sad to see the mankind’s are ruining the beautiful nature and only in the deep woods we can enjoy the beautiful nature and it’s meaning helps us to be content without all fancy materials that people spend so much time to acquire them ! Thank you so much for your zeal for the nature and appreciating the simpleness in life!

Hello Gentlemen! I'm sure you have all found your own personal comfort in regards to your backpacks so feel free to avoid this tip but maybe it will help someone else.
If you or a friend tighten the straps that connect from the top of the bag to the top of the shoulder straps that lay along your trap muscles while slightly bending over... then cinch down your regular shoulder straps where the excess should be hanging around your waste, it will reduce the amount gravity pulls back on your pack and bring it closer aligned to your spine. Ultimately making it easier to hike longer distances and do so more comfortably without it feeling like the weight is pulling you backwards.

So my wife thought she saw Brian at a Fazoli's in a Columbus suburb, but figured what are the chances of that? Then I told her I thought you guys were from Ohio! She brushed off her brush with fame! You guys continue to do a great job!

The thicker brush areas are from a big tornado that blew all of the trees down about 4 years ago. It was really crazy to see right after it happened.

I came for hiking. I stayed for shout-outs 😂 Lmao, you guys are hilarious. Got the production value dial turned up to 11
    Couple things:
    1. I'd be into watching an episode about your process. What it's like deciding when and where to go, composing the music, editing the film, etc
    2. I always look forward to the narrators insights at the conclusion of each video. One element (out of countless many) that I love about your channel
    Thanks guys. Y'all are aces
PS i like seeing the episode title on the marque thumbnail. Really brands the video as an AA title, which is synonymous with high quality and supremely entertaining

Sitting here watching and enjoying the video. At 43:34 while drinking your green tea I saw something to right of Robbie on the other side of the stream. Backed it up and saw a deer moving through. Love catching little “easter eggs” like that. Great video gents. Cheers.
