How is this channel not at a million subscribers? I found it a week ago and haven’t stopped watching. The detail is better than 90% of the videos on here. Thank you for all you guys do. I can’t wait for the next one ❤️
I’m not gonna lie, I shed a tear at the end part where you guys showed the original footage of the trip you were talking about. I have been a long time viewer and I’m always so amazed at the way you guys continue to evolve and progress. You’re continually outdoing yourselves. Each video is better and better. Thank you guys so much for everything you do and sharing these beautiful moments with us. I know it’s gotta be very hard work. Thanks for sharing your talents with us. I loved the part where you incorporated the drum into the music and I loved seeing the cat! Bravo you guys made an amazing video once again! Much love.
I'm rewatching their videos, as one does lol. I didn't notice it until this time. Phenomenal!!!! It's little things like this that make adventure archives so wonderful!
That transition at 36:25 was so smooth. Props to you guys, every time i watch ur vids im motivated to go outdoors and explore. Thank you and much love!
This episode was all about the nostalgia. Loved how you foreshadowed cutting back to your first trip! Beautifully shot, especially all the plant and tree species. Nicole's beef stew looked delicious and amazing! Nice firestarting by Andrew! 🔥 As for the shoutouts, brilliant! 👍 Rob Ross c'mon son!! 😁
This is where I first learning about hiking and camping. My husband and I are from Murray, so we spent most weekends in LBL. We have done the central hardwoods trail for 11 miles straight but we didn’t do the canal loop. I may have to go back home (we moved to Louisville) to do this trail. I was so excited to see our neck of the woods featured on your page!! I love your videos. Your commentary and b role are all amazing. Love what you do!
I was supposed to be just finishing a 10 day hike in Scotland that got cancelled due to the rona. Can't wait to get out of lockdown. Until then I can always watch you guys.
My husband is a towboat captain. He could have been one of the boats with barges that yall saw and heard. They push lots of things from grain, rock, coal, fertilizer, scrap iron, gasoline, etc.
Yay! So nice to see Nicole again. God I need to catch up with adventure archives and see what you guys have been up to! This is my first break from AA in 3 yrs....
Great fun. A little preaching. Lots of camaraderie. It's nice to have good friends you can do great stuff with. This is like watching a reality TV show, only better, because it's not scripted and it's different places every episode. And you guys have such a great sense of humor. Thanks for brightening up my day (evening, no, night).
There's something about this episode that makes it so re-watchable. The never-ending giggles around a campfire. The humble environment that makes you realize adventure is never far away. The themes of nostalgia that make it personal and genuine. PRESIDENT SINARD, WHERE WERE YOU??? BRUUUUUHHHHHHHHH
I just lost my grandfather to COVID and my father is recovering....your videos bring me more comfort than you know. Thank you. You also have a new subscriber.
What I love most about your shows are all of the plant knowledge. I get to learn so much but also get excited when I already know things, like the three sisters planting method and I knew the tulip poplar is Liriodendron tulipifera and provides one of the first pollen sources for bees in the spring. I loved seeing and hearing about all the wildflowers too! Great video over all, yall make such quality content theyre all like documentaries
You guys do some great work! I can only imagine how much extra effort/energy you put into filming. Hope you make it up to the Rockies in Alberta for an episode, lots to explore here. Cheers
The barges were tied up to dolphins. Sometimes if there isn’t a dolphin tugs will just push up ( run aground) their load onto the windward (up wind)shore. Great vid, we love watching you all. Cheers, Erika ( Brian’s wife).
I live in the NC foothills, was born in the Great Smokys and have hiked/camped most of my life. I enjoyed the Smoky's video from 2015. If you haven't heard of this yet, you might try putting cotton dryer lint and petroleum jelly into a ziplock baggie and squishing it around. In a wet campsite you can make an "upside down fire" with it. Flat, dry as possible spot, put a chunk of the lint/vaseline down, stack twigs around it, slightly larger pieces above that with largest pieces in a pyramid above/around. The lint will burn long enough to dry and catch the twigs, which should dry and catch the larger kindling. That should dry the bigger pieces. Dead standing trees are often dryer, and you want to not camp below dead trees in any case.
I grew up near, and in a real sense in, LBL. I live in Colorado now, so it was nice to see the Canal loop and relive some of my myriad memories in the area. I once rode my mountain bike on that trail at night in a thunder storm! I literally learned how to swim in the lake at the end of that gravel road near the end of the video. I have walked across the catwalk under that bridge, and knew a guy who's life ended in that very same spot, and a million other memories. Thanks guys!
Your episodes continue to get better and better. I get just as excited for a new AA video as I do for any episode of a mainstream tv show or new movie I’ve been looking forward to. Thanks for putting in the effort.
You guys put me in the woods, lol. So enjoy your adventures, can’t get away from it. We do trails and parks here in Canada. My girlfriend asked me today, (while I watched Adventure Archives) if I was gathering great ideas for our camping this summer. 😂 Oh YEAH!!! Thanks to you ALL.😁
Another beautiful piece with high resolution 4k quality vids, helps you get away from the normal 9-5 grind and see the beauty of this earth. Thank you to the whole AA team for bringing us joy and peace!
Hey Adventure Archives- you guys should do the Schill Bros podcast. They are doing some pretty slick talk show format content about backpacking, the outdoor equipment industry and influencers. Would love to see you guys on there.
Another great episode of AA! Special recognition to those awesome sunset views and that sweet camping spot in your first night. And you guys continue to outdo yourselves with those callouts at the end.
@@AdventureArchives I am, thanks! Taking lots of isolated hikes with my new pup. I also live up in Powell now, so when this is over we'll have to meet up again. Take care :)
I thought it was brilliant when you incorporated the metal bucket drum beat into your soundtrack. So cool. Another high quality movie. Thanks for sharing. I've actually hiked some of those trails at LBL. Have never camped there though.
Those cylinders are what the barges tie to when they are waiting to use the locks. Awesome videos. Just found your channel and been watching everything since. lol
I am from Western Ky and have grown up around Land Between the Lakes . Awesome Video! ❤️❤️ Loved it! So well done. I thought i was watching National TV show!!! If you drive LBL from North Welcome Station to South Welcome station , in the fall when leaves change....😇Amazing. You should check out the South Side sometime. (Tennessee side of LBL) LBL is something that people take for granted, when you live close by. I know I did. When I would check out lake&camp areas in states when I was on travel work assignments. I would get so disappointed. Because I expected Ky Lake.
Another well done video guys. It was nice to see Nicole again! Nicole's expressions when she said we are going to get ice cream, and as she starts eating the ice cream are priceless.
What a beautiful video to watch at a time when most of us can only dream of being out camping ourselves. I really enjoyed how you worked in the old footage. You've got to figure out some way to extend what you do with the shout outs into some sort of an Adventure Archives side show. That's comedy gold AA, gold! Love you guys and wishing you good health and safety in these trying times!
LOVE LBL!!! It was great to see a place I’ve been to so often seen from a different prospective. I stayed mostly on the TN side, camping, kayaking and fishing. Now I want to go back and hike. Thank you!
If you guys fished more... im pretty sure I’d never leave my couch!!!.. ... even so, I think i look forward to your videos more than all the fishing channels I sub to. Seriously LOVE this channel!!! You guys inspired me to do a 3 day hike around a local lake and film it for a video for my channel coming soon! Keep it up guys!!!
This is an amazing episode, maybe my favourite yet. While not the most grandiose in setting, I think you guys outdid yourselves with the storytelling. Your nostalgia and appreciation of past experiences of being in the wild makes this an extremely intimate experience for the viewer, it's like we're right there with you for the ride. Also, special moment of silence for 2013 Robby who clearly died at the hands of those mosquitoes :-P
37:13. Those cylinders are what the barge ties to so it can dock. Otherwise the current would carry it down stream. Awesome videos!!! Keep up the good work. Your very inspiring
Great video, u guys always say all campsites 🏕 r the best😆. I get it. They really are, beautiful shots of lake at dusk. Am binging today on my day off:) not disappointed at all. I’ve never watched videos this long b4, a fan I must be😄
Congrats on 100K subscribers. Hope you all will share the RUclips recognition plaque with all of your subs in a future video. I’ve been watching for many years, probably around the original 2013 Land Between the Lakes video as you all wonderfully reminisced during this video. You all are such a creative group and there should be a million subs on your channel. Always look forward to seeing your next adventure video. Peace and Be Well!
Me and my mom always watch adventure archives since quarantine. It is like our bonding time to watch these videos for free which it awsome! stay safe and hoping to see more beautiful sceneries, knowledge about survival tips and most importantly words of inspiration about life from all of you.
Louisville, Kentucky here. New subscriber and happy to see your great Kentucky trail videos. I’ve yet to backpack in my own state but have ventured through the Grand Canyon, BWCA,Yosemite, Mount Elbert and making final plans for another Colorado trip in Sept. looking forward to more great works from you.
Great hikes! Fun and amazing videos and story telling. I love you all . Looking forward to more hikes and getting some more ideas . Fun meals too 😄 thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and your adventures!🙏💕🌟

I like how you transitioned tapping the pan right into the music.
Tim Standaert yeah that was awesome
Same. I came to make that comment as well. This seemed like a nice hike. I hope to do it one day.
Yes, I noticed that too. That was pretty cool.
I'm rewatching their videos, as one does lol.
I didn't notice it until this time. Phenomenal!!!! It's little things like this that make adventure archives so wonderful!
Only you guys can make a cell tower seem like a magical discovery with such the right music lol
I feel like you guys are super positive and always find the "best campsite we have ever been to"! Love it!
Hands down my favorite RUclips channel
Perfect viewing in the time of COVID-19. Now we’re all craving for beef stew!
That transition at 36:25 was so smooth. Props to you guys, every time i watch ur vids im motivated to go outdoors and explore. Thank you and much love!

You guys (and Nicole) are excellent wordsmiths as well as competent outdoors people. I applaud your work.

Watching this makes me remember all the weekends I spent here while stationed at Ft. Campbell.
Thank you guys for coming out to West KY and the LBL. I cant wait to check out the rest of yalls videos.
Wonderful, with a great message at the end. I liked how you showed the 2013 episode, too.
Yet another great video! Thanks for all the laughs and I hope you all are staying safe!
Wow guys, I was hooked beginning to end. Thanks for letting us go along.

WoW! I don't know which made me happier, the virtual adventuring or the post wrap up four character antics ~ Hilarious!! Sssuperr Awesome Talent!!
Oh my god! I missed Nicole, glad to see her again!

OMG, the look on Nicole's face at the end when she got her ice cream....TOO CUTE!
Those cylinders are what the barges tie to when they are waiting to use the locks. Awesome videos. Just found your channel and been watching everything since. lol
I'm excited to watch this with my dad. I live right on the lake!
That was a really cool transition during your first packing up scene after eating the ash cakes!
Enjoyed the video. We hope to visit Land Between The Lakes real soon.
You guys are really amazing and I am so happy that I have found this channel. Keep safe everyone.
I love seeing people enjoying nature and watching the food prep! Thank you!
I go every 2 weeks for these hugh shots in my back and watching your videos keep me from panicking. Thanks guys
excellent footage and editing
You guys are like spring
The golden sun setting ray piercing thru the barren trees and reflecting the lake was simple and yet so surreal. Very beautiful videography folks.
"Thomas you're missing out"... most understated line... another EPIC adventure... just what I needed to help cure the quarantine blues!
Love it, amazing content as always. Thank you Adventure Archives!

Yep this is my new viewing addiction. Full of warmth, comfort, and humanity that's much needed. Thank you guys for these amazing videos, seriously.
Great adventure! That "inspired the musician in Robby" bit was sublime.
Another well done video guys.

Nice adventure, and I like the message at the end by Andrew. I could not stop laughing during the credits on this one, very funny.
the flashback footage gave me goosebumps
Great job! Always enjoy watching your videos. They are made so well and so much attention to detail.
