“Why does anyone watch us?!” 😆my whole family in the living room, bursting out laughing. This is just one reason we watch-you all are fun, informative, and seem to be great guys. Grateful for the output and appreciate all the time we know it takes to film and edit.
I was going to start a standard comment, but I just saw that you were saying some thing similar to what I was. I love that you caught the same comment, and you had your own version of response. For me, I just discovered this channel 2 to 3 months ago, and I have been burning through them mostly from the latest backwards as I often do. ...now my show comment-You guys are just such pleasant people, and provide an interesting and slightly different version of a hiking and camping video series. I generally gravitate towards easy-going personalities anyways, and you have your own version of that. I have to admit to a sort of reality show intrigue with your personalities. I love that you have been friends for seemingly so long, and I am still trying to figure you all out. I do that. You are just wonderful As people, and your production is fantastic! In one comment a few weeks ago I was kind of criticizing the intro graphic, but it has grown on me. I thought it was corny at first, but now I love it because it reminds me of you fellows. I hope that you continue to do videos, I'll be watching for them. Keep on, awesome people!
My grandmother was from Eastern Kentucky and used to sing Pretty Polly to us when we would visit. She past last year at 90 from Covid. Thank you for reminding me of the good memory of her.
Just hiked the red river gorge this past week! My 14 yr old son watched this video and was inspired to see it. Made me take his picture on the same Boulder at gray’s arch. Also, because of this video we ate at Miguels pizza!! Thanks for the inspiration
Wow, I’ve already been subscribed, and somehow it has taken a search and a click to get myself here. My family is from this area. And I’m soon to return for another visit. Absolutely love the content.
Fellow Kentuckian here. I always see you guys talk about how friendly the folks you come across in the area. It warms my heart to hear you guys say that. I think Kentuckians in general have a pretty genial quality to them. And if we can pass anything on to the rest of the country, it can be kindness and willingness to help (thanks Ron). Glad you love this wonderful place, and are able to share your experiences to the rest of the world.
That story of the first attempt at camping is so good. Just the mental image of Andrew and Thomas huddling together for warmth while Robby covers himself in car mats...incredible.
I love how your intro is super serious and your voice overs are so well done and then we get footage of four sweet boys nerding out over the woods. It's the best. Both high quality and incredibly relatable content.
I disagree ... you two had great chemistry in this video. This one was every bit as entertaining as all of the others. You all have a peaceful way about you, and these videos are a great way to end a work day to let go of all of the stress. Great editing and awesome job on the music once again. Thanks for making these videos for those of us who can’t get out and hike as often as we would like.
Hey guys, I'm a new subscriber from India. Your channel is incredibly good! Easily one of the best channels in YT imo. Have been binge watching all the full episodes. I'm so glad I found this channel. Please do more Road trip videos soon! I especially loved that series. Your music + Camera + Narration and the aesthetic is perfect. I'm not a big traveller or hiker but I connect so much with the way you bring us your experience. Your production feels minimalist, candid and most importantly NATURAL. This is unscripted slice-of-life at its best. Why don't more people watch and make stuff like these? Every one of you is so interesting. Robby, Bryan, Andrew, Thomas and Nicole. Thank you for taking me on virtual adventures into the American wilderness.
Still killing it, good job! I'm a recent AT thru hiker here in Cbus, I'm a gear junkie, would love to show you some easy ways to shed some pounds, stay warmer, drier, safer at the same time. You carry so much film gear and food (don't change that, of course) that you should try to save weight in other ways if possible. A lighter load would allow more miles, faster miles, less fatigue and more enjoyment...I can even loan you some of the lightest/best gear in the industry to try out. I've got 2 Zpacks tents and 4 of their cuban fiber back packs, a complete Hennessy hammock set up, Enlightened Equipment quilts, Thermarest air mats...too much to list, but I have enough for all 4 of you. Just an offer as my way of paying you back (like Ron did) for all the great content you create. Cheers!
And I LOVE the Native American music , it’s beautiful and haunting! Just brilliant!! This makes my 7 th or 8th time watching this , it’s a special place , thank y’all 🍄🍒🌷😎😎🌺🌷🍄
It pleases me so much to see you all share a meal from a common pot, common cup or even a common spoon rather than use separate plates, etc. Many of the world's cultures do that but the American culture falls short of doing it. It's a little sad because American culture misses so much of the true bonding experience that only the common "communal" sharing of foods and drink can bring to the soul of mankind. Thank You for being the friends you are to each other. And Thank You for sharing your friendships with us through your adventures. 🙌🙌♥️.
Packit Gourmet is the BOMB!! Their chicken and dumplings, ramen rescue, Texas state chili, tortillas soup are some of my favorites. Get their cozy for keeping the heat in while rehydrating. Oh, LOVED the music, great job Have a great day, stay safe out there!
I'm there once a month, and recently did some trail clearing with the forest service alongside my Cincinnati Zoo Co-Workers! Happy to see AA back in the gorge!
My girlfriend, especially my cat, and I loved/watched this episode from start to finish with extreme enthusiasm. Keep it up, your channel has quickly become one of my favorite within the short amount of time I've found it!
Did you noticed the reaction of that girl they met with their parents on that hike. After chatting with them you could see in the back that she turned around to their parents totally excited saying "Oh my god!" - Guys you are Hiking famous ;) - I really wish you all the best on your journey because what you do and create is far more than watching 1-4 friends hiking and sitting in front of campfire. You really create something special here - and I really hope that more people are gonna find out about this Channel because you guys deserve far more than just around 73.000 subscribers. This is the RUclips Channel I look forward to the most seeing a new episode while I enjoy a great meal or drinking a Gongfu Tea Session. The way you capture nature and moments on camera and the comradery you share with each other and us is unique and in my eyes there is nothing with this topic out there which is as special as what you do. I hope I can enjoy watching you on many hikes for many years to come because I would totally miss this show if it ever ends. All the best from Vienna, Austria ~ Cheers
I'm a hiker from MI and I love watching your program. You have hiked so many of my favorite places all over the country. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
I can't get enough of your adventures. This is a great one. Love the Pretty Polly reference. If you haven't heard it, listen to the Ralph Stanley and Patty Loveless rendition. Classic Bluegrass!
Awww. I love at 24:40, the look on the lady's face as you guys walk away, like she's just met celebrities. If I ran into y'all while hiking I'd probably react that way too though :)
Cuddling for warmth is fine. I do Civil War re-enactments, and we call it "spooning" when you have 4 guys in a little white cotton/canvas A-frame tent, and only some straw and a wool blanket for warmth. It works and is historically accurate. Unless you have a farter....
@@TripsOnTrail Outdoor Pantry made the Gyros (which are awesome) and Packit Gourmet made the Tortilla Soup and Biscuits and gravy (also awesome) Those two brands have greatly increased my culinary enjoyment on trail.
You guys do such a great job capturing what it’s like to be just a normal guy hiking around the woods. The scenery is breathtaking and the advice you guys give is very relatable. Keep up the great work!
LMAO throughout this video!! "...this is the end of tan pants"....."this is actually an invasive fungus, and if you pull it out, it's actually a pair of glasses"... Priceless!❤
"Why do people watch us?" Laughed out loud on that one. You guys are relatable and down to earth. Your videos are solid and like me, a little geeky. That's a compliment by the way. Keep up the good work guys, from another Ohio boy who likes a good adventure.
Good cinematography, discount philosophy, and accessible locations. You’ve definitely found your target audience. I do enjoy watching these videos. I’m glad you all have found a way to make some money off of being outdoors. Good on you!

Really loved seeing Thomas reaction to seeing Hanson’s Point for the very first time. That’s my favorite part when I take people there. Great job guys and keep the videos coming.
You guys are awesome! My girlfriend and I fell in love with the idea of hiking! We live in Indiana and it’s awesome to see that you guys went to places around here. Also we watched every episode of Robby’s Japan trip and wanna make our own vacation of our own! Thank you guys for the amazing videos!

The peanut butter rolls look like something we used to make called potato candy. You peel, cube and boil the potatoes. Then you mash them in a bowl with a fork, mixing in confectioners sugar until u get a dough. Flatten it out on wax paper and then spread peanut butter over it. Roll it up and chill in the refrigerator. Once it firms a little, you can slice it and eat it. Very sweet but really good.
