Yeah, if Putin truly wanted Russia to be a competitor to the US, he wouldn't have been putting the economy further in the toilet for 20 years. You can't be a great power without money. Russia is not even really a second tier power because of his awful leadership. If it wasn't for nuclear weapons, Russia would not even be a particularly prevelant player in world politics.

They're against the current american/western establishment and the current liberal order so hard that they think any actor that goes up against it or sows division is worth it, be it Iran, Syria, China or Russia. Alternative right/dissident people have for long held those positions. It's just unfortunate that they think it's fitting to be so contrarian to where supporting enemies, extensions of globo-homo, and a war is what they're up to.
Eh. Putin was also big on authoritarianism which is a value many far right people share. Far left people as well mind you. We saw it here in germany in 2014 and now in 2022
Putin is pretty fascist, and definitely a lot more so than American politicians, so it's not super surprising. They openly buck things like the economy and material interests in favour of nationalism and militarism, and they emphasise the importance of a leader who appears "strong" over any kind of democracy or accountability. You could say similar stuff about China but Putin is white and Fuentes said recently at his conference that Russia is strong because its not a diverse country (which is wrong both because Russia isn't really very strong, but also because Russia is very ethnically diverse).

Thank you for this I gotta give you props your probably my favorite twitch streamer i disagree with a few things but your actually genuine when you talk unlike the rest
Its almost like nazism has a core, endemic socialist angle, even if its not supported by Marxists. The right left dichotomy isn't an accurate method of observing politics
@@REDDAWNproject The real problem is that when communism is described as left wing it means economically left wing, but when fascism is described as right wing it means socially right wing. Although communism, being an anarchist ideology, opposes fascism, which is built around a dictator, you can have a fascist socialist. It also makes it even less clear when many self proclaimed communist states were dictatorships. The language either needs to be made way more uniform or just scrapped all together and I honestly don't know which would be easier.
@@REDDAWNproject I think it WAS an accurate method of observing politics, but has been unraveling over the last 8-10 years and particularly the last two - where authoritarians on the 'left' and 'right' are no longer disavowing each other but are beginning to build bridges and stress their commonalities. Support for Putin has accelerated this on both sides, but it had been happening for a while before that too
In the end some chatter opposed the long opening statement, but I just want to give the opinion that I thought the long opening statement was actually really good and powerful
27:50 The answer is no. Nick would not step back from America First even if it means that AF can go mainstream because of it. AF isn’t about what is best for America. It is about Nick
Exactly. If Nick was actually concerned about having an effectual political "movement" as he likes to say, he'd try to be concerned about having an audience that is above voting age (they're mostly not). The biggest threat to Nick's "movement" is his audience growing out of it.

Destiny finally asked at the 14:40 mark what's been burning in my head throughout the entire debate. It was insane watching Nick debate against what I thought were his own interests.
@@Blexg Just using an extreme example: Why would Fuentes who is a paleocon be in favor of the current American foreign policy? It's beyond stupid to think he should be a neo-con or neo-lib just because he says he is "America first", as if the uniparty dems and reps you have now are doing something good when they go around the world murdering people to maintain their "liberal world order".
Its simple really, the expansion of American hegemony only benefits the American regime, not the American people. The regime in charge of the country are completely corrupt and are oppressing dissidents. Its best to not allow them to gain any more power than they already have.
@@ziinx5899 what are you talking about? The expansion of American influence has absolutely benefitted the American people. Fuel prices in America are the cheapest in the world, and these massive trade organizations have created an insanely complicated supply chain that can get services to your door step within literally hours. Not everything America does is justified, but if there’s going to be a global hyper power, I want it to be America. Additionally, this idea that America doesn’t need to be the global super police is dumb because there isn’t an alternative. Either America commands the global narrative, or someone else (cough cough China or Russia) does. The world overwhelmingly supports the US, because we are much better masters than China or Russia would be. It’s not a matter of whether or not a country /should/ be the global power, it’s a matter of realizing there is going to be a global power anyways, and realizing that America is the most preferable option

Does nick not understand that China and Russia have students, professors and doctors that go to America, Canada and the UK as well as many other countries to these Biolabs to share what they found. When i was in Beijing in 2019, 2 People went to inner mongolia for a week and returned to Beijing, It turned out that the two people ended up eating some meat which was found to have an old disease, that disease? The Plague... Beijing was in panic and luckily those two were contained properly AND cured. Yeah, if Putin truly wanted Russia to be a competitor to the US, he wouldn't have been putting the economy further in the toilet for 20 years. You can't be a great power without money. Groypers defending Russia was honestly the twist I didn't expect
Russia is an far right, nationalist, authoritarian nation. It makes perfect sense.

The right left dichotomy isn't an accurate method of observing politics
@@REDDAWNproject Bollocks. The NSDAP was far Right to the core.
@@REDDAWNproject The real problem is that when communism is described as left wing it means economically left wing, but when fascism is described as right wing it means socially right wing.
Exactly. If Nick was actually concerned about having an effectual political "movement" as he likes to say, he'd try to be concerned about having an audience that is above voting age (they're mostly not). The biggest threat to Nick's "movement" is his audience growing out of it.
