Hey, very cool video Joe, and awesome idea to use the Pocket 3 for stills… This might be an awesome idea… and possibly even to use it at lower than 1/100, maybe 1/10s or so, because the gimbal should suppress some shake as well… Wonderful! Have a nice week ahead☀️
Thank you . You are probably right. I’m pretty certain that you can get sharp shots at a shutter speed much slower than 1/100 seconds. I really appreciate your input. Have a great week.
@@joeredski I have gone out for a day session (still waiting for my ND’s), used the 3x3 panorama, it’s a 41 MP image, and the result is very interesting, depends on your focus point, looks a little like a fish eye lens. Try it out.
Hey Joe! I use the DJI Osmo Action originally to use snorkeling and also making time lapses with clouds and sky at night!! I have a couple of Ulanzi lenses, the super macro, and the anamorphic lense....also have some ND filters for it, and have a lot of fun using it to record my moto scooter rides....I wondered if I should upgrade to the Action 3, and I have always wondered about these little guys!! Thanks for a great tut on the pocket!! Love the shots and the video! :)
Thank you for your positive feedback. I have the Action 4 However, the DJI Osmo Action 3 offers several improvements over the original DJI Osmo Action. Key differences include a wider field of view (155° vs 145°), improved video stabilization with RockSteady 3.0, HorizonBalancing, and HorizonSteady, and enhanced waterproof capabilities (16 meters compared to 11 meters). Additionally, the Action 3 maintains the 1/1.7-inch, 12-megapixel sensor and 4K@120p video resolution of the previous model. It also offers a longer battery life (160 minutes) and a more robust design suitable for extreme conditions. I don’t know if your Macro and anamorphic lens is compatible though, so you’ll have to check that out. I appreciate your comment. Thank you 🙏
@@joeredski Hey thank you for that info!! Yes, it seems like a nice upgrade! Will check into the lenses. Will look forward to more videos!! :) Cheers Joe!
Beautiful video and interesting approach to shooting streets! I may have missed it in the video, but where was this shot? Looks like a wonderful place.
Thank you very much. I appreciate it. The night shots are filmed in Rye, in East Sussex, UK. The day filming was done in St Leonard’s on Sea, in East Sussex.
Loving your videos. I have the Pocket 3 and I’m a GRiii user. Really helpful for night shoot settings. Have you used the black mist filter for night photos? (I haven’t yet).
Thank you man. Yes, I always use black mist filters. On the GRIII, they make your photos look very atmospheric, with the halation around the light sources. I’ve only briefly tried a snow mist filter on the Pocket 3. It did look very strong. I need to give it another go. You’ve got to give it a go 👍
Great video and piece of kit, I'm curious to see if it encourages you to try shots you may not have considered before with the Ricoh due to the weight and flexibility/increased angles offered with the swivel lens.... Does it greatly reduce the amount of gear you would normally carry around to shoot?
Thank you for your message. It does encourage me to try different shots as I can move my body much more freely and apart from ND filters, there isn’t much else to carry. However, you might need to bring a power bank with you because unfortunately the battery does need charging as it’s not removable. I appreciate the questions!
Well done Joe🫵👏👏👏 Thanx💯 Absolute quality tips and tricks! Lovely👋 Hi From Sweden💥 And yes, really good thumbnail that says everything without text. You get curious 👍 Nice!
love this video and the pictures, thanks for such a great review!
Thank you very much 🙏

Great vid. Was thinking of using my OP3 for some stills, now I have to give it a try.
Thanks. It’s a great tool for photography . Enjoy .

чертовски уютные фотографии. Спасибо за эстетическое удовольствие
Большое спасибо. Я очень ценю это.

Set your Gr3 at F8 or your A7III at F11 and you will never miss focus on those either ...
F2 on the small sensor of the pocket is equivalent to those.
Thanks .
и очень хороший вкус на музыкальный фон у вас! Уместный!
Thanks for video! I think Pocket3 , a 1-inch sensor should take better pictures than any phone
Thanks. I completely agree 👍
what camera are you using to film the POV?
The Osmo Action 4
Well done Joe🫵👏👏👏 Thanx💯
