- Jay Mohr and Patrice O'Neal are in studio. They goof around about promoting gigs and Jay talks about getting buff for Street Kings while Patrice busts his balls because it was a small part. Jay does a Forest Whitaker impression. Jay loves when black guys call him nigga. They talk about tough comedians, Jay does some more impressions, Patrice is trying to knock his girl up, Jay's Tracy Morgan impression, Jerry Seinfeld doesn't have to be funny and he'll still get laughs and talk about Rich Vos' career. Jay meets Intern David. Patrice asks if they think Jay looks like Eric Stoltz in "Mask". Rich Vos calls in. They talk about Jay's old show "Mohr Sports" and Jay does more impersonations. (3/16/09)

One of my favorite O&A shows of all time. I couldn't even count how many times I listen to this. The comedic chemistry Jay and Patrice had was unreal

This is one of my favorites. What's great is Opie and Anthony let Patrice and Jay do their thing and not interrupt. Opie should have done that a lt more. Ant was always great at that.

I never thought much of Jay Mohr from seeing him in movies. It was only after a Walken appearance on Conan where they showed clips of people doing impressions of him (Walken) from past shows. Clip of Kevin Pollack made me think, "Wow that's pretty damn good.", then Mohr's impression, "Holy fucking shit, that *IS* Walken!"
I love how he explains how to properly do an impersonation in this recording, because it's exactly what I thought when I heard him do Colin on another show. He doesn't just mimic sound bytes like with some of the movie quotes he's doing here, he absolutely becomes Colin; saying things that were never said but you could completely see him saying it. I see that as a difference between an impression and an impersonation, and I could listen to him do either all damn day.
Also, it's more than rare for anyone to upstage Patrice, especially on O&A. This was a great show.
This probably the GREATEST piece of radio. PERIOD!!!
Patrice and Jay Mohr were awesome. There was a time in the mid 2000's when I saw Jay Mohr and NOBODY gave me a headache from laughing so hard....not to this day. Mitch Hedberg was the closest. Patrice was unbelievable on O & A. He had some of the funniest views of men/women relationships....he was a lovable comedic genius.

jay is in the zone here........from 35:00 to 55:00 is some next level, very rare-air, comedic genius that I think is just so rare anywhere now.
That Vos joke re: Neil Brennan thing is an example of "the why" hahahaha I never realized Bonnie had a little run until that room went perfect. God this is timeless gold. Mohr just wouldn't play the game. This is how far it;s come, Bonnie is a star and genius jay is somewhere being honest. All he did was make a reference to them.........c killer etc.

The funniest part to me is the speed at which he owned up to the fart when asked. It was instantaneous. He was that honest of a person.

Patrice is my favorite comedian ever and after listening to this I checked out Mitch Mullany and damn he’s a funny cat. Wish there was more of his standup around. Props to O&A without which we would’ve have the hours and hours of the genius of Patrice.

Even if it's Bert's actual experience Jays impression is the best.
Bert has explained in on Jay Mohr's podcast and Joe Rogan's podcast saying that Jay told the story so much better than him because he does a great Tracy impression. Jay killed with the bit so Bert let him stick with it. Bert is a nice guy. Jay got alot of criticism from fans saying he stole it but Bert cleared the air on the podcast.

The best thing about this is that it was a time when Patrice was still alive (one of my favorites and a huge loss), and realizing from the conversation that both Zach Galifianakis and Kevin Hart weren't household names.

His critique of Seinfeld applies to Dave as well. After some comedians reach a level of fame they are considered untouchable. You can point out the flaws without being called a hater or their money being brought up. Every comic has a flaw and it should be a sin for another to joke about them.

ummm you might want to listen to the latest tigerbelly podcast. Bert Kreisher retells the story and its a little different. Also him and Bobby Lee rehash the whole Rogan/Mencia incident and how Bobby bitched out.
Its similar, except better because bert kreisher had no part in it.
