THANK YOU for taking the time to make this and make it available for us to watch! I've wanted to see a video like this for years to help scout for good railfan locations and to just enjoy the scenery.
As one who has watched a lot of videos here on RUclips of fast German/European as well as Japanese/Asian high speed trains clipping along no faster than 320 KPH this is a great rendition of a lot of those very fast trains!! I knew this was somehow a fixed video (when I said to myself...I could have sworn that was a full red signal we just passed at speed...) with speeds and trackage that do not exist in this state or the entire country really. But if you were told this was in Europe and the person wasn't a rail nut that knew more about railroads then the owners do, they would have nodded in agreement that those European trains really scoot along don't they?? Yes they do!! This is a great video of what HSR could be like right here...
The video was setup on the tail end of the train. We are watching the video in reverse mode. That is why every vehicle you see in the video is going backwards.
The audio is freaking me out a little. Do you have a regular version, that goes in the opposite direction with normal audio? I don't want to feel like I am praying to a demon watching this video. Thanks.
What an exciting main railroad line with beautiful scenery! Thank you so much for recording this! Greetings from Hungary, and i wish we had such mountainous railway lines like this, but we hadn't... Ps1: if i'm correct, the division between Skykomish and Wenatchee was electricified once, before the diesel-engine/locomotive era. Ps2: Does anybody know, where the old Stevens Pass' route had begun around Scenic station in this video? I mean the old line which led up to the Old Cascade Tunnel before this current long new tunnel was constructed in the late 1920's.
now I have only just noticed that it is a reverse recording why is there never anything new from the driver's cab Does anyone know a train driver who can make videos from the cabin
@@KensTrains thanks, I'll be checking it out! Are rear-view videos your thing at all? I did a couple Amtrak routes in IL a few years back that I can post links to if you have any interest.
Of course it’s in reverse otherwise the crew would be fired for multiple rules violations including running how many stop signals? and not operating the train horn at crossings.
Regardez bien a 22 minute20 seconde du début de la vidéo !! J'ais jamais vu une voiture rouler aussi vite en marche arrière ? Dommage cela aurais pus etre une bonne vidéo. J'aime pas les tricheurs..

You’re welcome! I like to use videos like these for the same purpose.
31:46 Foss River Trestle
38:15 Bonneville Cut
39:21 Deception Creek
46:20 Cascade Tunnel East Portal
Those are my favorite shots
Why are those cars and trucks driving in reverse? Funny guy!
Because the stupid camera is on the rear of the train and not the cab and the video is reversed. Pretty lame!
It's a video taken on the rear car out of the back window of Amtrak. This has been done a few times and put in RUclips.
i had to crack up on this video
Lame
@@spursaz Totally!

29:49 The chipmunks were riled up about their acorn supply!😅
Very cool and enjoyable ride along Ken! Scenery sure was lovely, nice share! (Dave).
Thank you Dave, glad you enjoyed it.
@@KensTrains you're very welcome.
This is a dream come true. I'm makeing scenic subdivision (in a game) and needed a video like this
That's rad! What game?
The video was setup on the tail end of the train. We are watching the video in reverse mode. That is why every vehicle you see in the video is going backwards.
So I’m assuming the talking that we’re hearing is chipmunks that are hitching a ride on the car?
And why the track side signals are red and the sun is setting in the east.
Yeah I wondered why the train looked like it was passing red signals 😮😂
The audio is freaking me out a little. Do you have a regular version, that goes in the opposite direction with normal audio? I don't want to feel like I am praying to a demon watching this video. Thanks.

Thanks for posting this! Always like a good cab ride.
Look closer.
@@jasonasselin It's pretty obvious it's a reversed video taken at the back of 7.
i miss this kinda stuff like i miss a headach.
Great cab ride! Thanks for this!!!
Nice. Thanks for labelling the sidings.
I noticed something at 4:22, this train knocked down a RED signal. thoughts?
again at 7:31. What is the deal?
nevermind... read the direction dummy...lol
I was gonna say, read the description. 🙂
I had to set the video to slow why this fast please more of such recordings but in normal mode
great vide sir ❤❤
Video is sped up and reversed. I knew it was reversed when I saw the cars on the road going backwards. WHY?
Straight to like it
now I have only just noticed that it is a reverse recording why is there never anything new from the driver's cab Does anyone know a train driver who can make videos from the cabin
I love railfan views like this...do you have an upload of this that is normal speed and not reversed though?
I have one that is not reversed, but it is still double speed. You can see it here: ruclips.net/video/eJO7Y6WtLeA/видео.htmlsi=HzI3Ljbe0lvah3Rx

@@ViewpointUniqueI’ve only done this one. I’ll check out your channel for the ones you did.
Was this shot from the tail of the Empire Builder? As the sun "sets" slowly in the East.
Yes, that’s correct, as stated in the description.
Don't speed up your videos
I kinda like it sped up.
looks like he ran some red signals?
Not a cab ride, interesting to to see the cars going backwards but the highlight was seeing the river flowing in reverse.
This is the old Great Northern route?
Yes, that’s correct.
Of course it’s in reverse otherwise the crew would be fired for multiple rules violations including running how many stop signals? and not operating the train horn at crossings.
Thanks!
You're welcome! Thank you!
Why is this running backwards?
Highway traffic is in reverse!
This in not a cab ride
The description clearly states this.
NOT A CAB RIDE !
As clearly stated in the description.
感覺好像快轉 是因為火車速度太慢嗎
BECAUSE TRAINS IS GOING BACK WERE THAT'S ANSWERS YOUR QUESTIONS
@1:33 WTF!?
Does this not mean SCHTOPP?????
Nevermind, the whole video is sped up, and played backward. Block is still "occupied" for a few seconds after the train passes.
Everything is better in reverse….. lol
The cars are going backwards 😅
And are much faster in reverse than the train is in forward!!

This looks stupid. 🤪🤪
