I had an uncle who spent his full career as a Santa Fe engineer in Arizona. He gave me my first train ride, but I was too young to remember. One of his runs was the Peavine. This video shows a lot of the beauty in Arizona that most people will never see. His last run just before he died was the Prescott to Paulden. After his death they closed the Prescott depot and pulled up the tracks. Thank you for reminding me of him and how much he is missed. Thank you for your excellent videos, and please don't stop, they are the very best!
Another spectacular video to rewatch from our watch later list to relax before bed. Enjoyed watching once again and have a wonderful upcoming weekend.(Steve)
I have to agree to music was an excellent pick to go with the sprawling views of Arizona . Beautiful photography, angle choices and height views. Very much enjoyed watching. Thanks for putting this together.
Thank you very much! A revised version of this will be posted in a month or so perhaps with added areas around Hillside that were not included in the first video! :) Hope you will consider subscribing! :)
Some people make videos and the music is a distraction, NOT HERE, the music here, puts you in the film, your part of it, like Frank Sinatra said about Count Basie, he can clearly do it, spectacular video 💯💯👏
Thank you!!! The music I’m very picky on. It’s been an ordeal getting it all licensed correctly but I think music makes some of the long pacing shots more interesting !!!
PROLLY . . . THE BEST TRAIN VIDEO I'VE SEEN IN THE LAST 10 YEARS !! GREAT CAMERA, MUSIC & PACING !! HAS ANYONE SAID . . . GREAT EDITING ?? KEEP IT UP !! BE WELL !!
Again. Thanks so much!!!! The Peavine is a difficult line to follow. It has decent traffic but because really impractical to chase trains on the entire line it can be very frustrating !
An other fantastic video. The drones sequences add to the overall feeling of visiting the places, not just watching a train going by. The sequence of the sun with the reflection on the green frequency of the sensor is very interesting. (green is the main color of the CMOS.)
Thanks so much!!!! The Peavine is a difficult line to video as there can be 6 hours with no trains at all at times quite often! And it is a difficult line to chase as there are no roads that follow it closely the entire stretch BUT it is a really interesting line with incredible scenery so we do have fun shooting it!
@@AcmeCinematography the wye was particularly interesting, also the interchange with the AZ & CA. Pacing a train with the drone is also an acquired skill-not easy.
I wish that there would be a continuation of this particular BNSF "The Peavine" Phoenix Subdivision. To show the trains heading east of Sun City into Phoenix.
Another master Piece and watching it on a 100 inch TV shows how beautiful the landscape, trains are and the effort that you put into each of these video's. I so appreciate for sharing it with all of us for our viewing pleasure and if you are ever in the fortworth area, I would love to buy a coffee or a beer, your pick :)
We really love your video. My husband has had a lot of surgeries so we don't get to travel. We have watched all of your videos and would like to watch them again. Have you taken some of them off of RUclips? Is it possible to watch them again? Your videos are amazing. ❤
They will be back online as soon as we can get the licensing agreements done for each one! The music is proprietary so has to be licensed specific which takes some time to get organized but they should all be back on in a few weeks!
Thanks Bill! I was glad to finally get this one updated !!! It was really my first big video with the first version taking off but just so much more footage to fill it !
Great video I drive the highways past those towns but to see the untouched non commercialized aspect reminds me of what it would have been like in the 1800s
Again, very good video. When I started working for the Santa Fe, I spent plenty of time working with the tie gang,, a rail change gang,, Roadmaster relief job at Glendale, and track rebuilding gang around Phoenix (Mobest) Yard. Forty-plus years ago, and how the time flew by. Anybody know what Hassayampa means? Tell the truth, now, either you know, or you don't.
The name “Hassayampa” comes from a Yavapai Indian word, hayesamo, meaning “following the water as far as it goes.” Apache Indians referred to it as the “upside down river” because it flows underground most of the way. From the web :)
@@AcmeCinematography I had a friend tell me Hassayampa meant "if you drink water from the river you can never tell a lie.". Hassayampa was the unofficial name of 42 and 47, the passenger trains between Phoenix and Ashfork (later Williams Jct).
Oh, that is simply outstanding!! Great cinematography, so neat to see so many trains at work. Scenery is true-to-form Arizona superb! Any chance of mixing in some cab-views, too, in your next works? Thanks for sharing, fun to watch. [Greetings from Tucson]
Thank you for another informative video of the BNSF on former Santa Fe trackage in Arizona. The scenery was beautiful as the trains passed along the rails. The length of some of those trains was impressive. Do you have any idea how long some of the trains were? The cement plants in Arizona are huge.
In the editing process I do saturate the colors somewhat but mainly shoot on the golden hours. Right after sunset and before sunset when the sun is lower and colors more saturated :)
Another incredibly well done video! I love the balance between the raw audio and the soundtrack! Question: @ 28:15 did the crew walk the length of the train?
Thank you!!! Ok that grain train… we don’t know! They do a crew change there for the crew to take that train on the ARZC to Utting for the Lone Cactus Loop Railroad there. But this one was just left there until the next morning early so not sure!!!
Quite a few. Hard to chase them on this line as the tracks go away from the highways for great lengths of time. We recommend the line between castle hot springs and congress. Between congress and Kirkland difficult to get near tracks. From skull valley to Paulden difficult to get near as well. Probably 6 trains during daylight hours a day on it
Hello ACME, that was a great video and I am looking forward to watching all your videos. I just subscribed too. Can you please tell me the name of the sound track at the end of this video. Thank you, Ed
@@AcmeCinematography You're certainly welcome and by chance can you pass along the name of that last sound track on this video? I would like to use it on one of my future videos, Thanks, Ed
The scenary is good however I am curious about the Bridge, its location. (4:55 on this video). Why they have chosen this path ? Why they have not gone straight rather than so many curves. The bridge height could be less. ++++ a lot more.
Great catches! Is this a busy line? I'm thinking about railfanning here in a day or so. Or just anywhere in the Phoenix area for freight trains. Also any good crossings to park near?
Can be slow on traffic … it is difficult to follow as the tracks from Congress to Kirkland are far from the road. And again from Skull valley to chino valley really can’t access the line. But if you have an entire day you should get a few trains at the sights you are at. Bring a scanner!

Que mas de su naturaleza del sonido del chucuchucu y triquitraque en eco de las rocas y edificios.

Excellent work! Where can I find music used in your amazing videos?
I have the same sentiment and question... 👍
It’s licensed music that RUclips has for videos for a fee but it has to be done for each song. Thanks!!!
Excellent video!
Thank you very much!!!! Will be an update to this one on the coming 2 months!!!
Can you make a compilation or longer it’s a perfect work focus music with trains
Some people set up “lists” to loop all these in the background for their hobby rooms etc!

This line I don’t think has the super long trains that the transcon can get that are 3 miles long but they can be good sized trains at time !

Done when everything is green, you don't get to see that often. What drone are you using? it seemed to have no problems keeping up with the trains.
DJI drones for the most part!
