1:04:06 What a wonderful capture of the morning mist, cottonwoods, lava fields, and backdrop of Mt Taylor. This truly is the "Land of Enchantment."

Does the Clovis sub run all the way to Amarillo or does it end at Clovis?

Awesome video. My last run on interstate 40 as an OTR driver was over two years ago. I used to pickup and deliver at the paper mill in Prewitt for many years.😊

Nice work, as usual. I find the 3000 year old lava interesting. In geological time, that happened yesterday. Love the details you give about the trains and the areas of interest.

Excellent scenery! Love the fast trains, BNSF is one of my favorite railroads, they haul lots of freight trains such as tankers (my favorite), grain, manifest, autoracks, etc

used to live near Gallup. you could always see the BNSF trains running along I-40 and through Gallup. I could hear the low rumble of the locos in my house about a mile south of the RR usually around 3 AM.

New Mexico is a beautiful place, and the old stone buildings are just awesome. They stand the test of time and were built well. No modern technology just living next to the earth like Grandmother earth intended us to do!

Thanks for the memories! I lived out there in 2015. Used drive down to Suwanee and Lucero Mesa. There was an old radio station building just east of Mormon Crossing complete with antenna and neon call letters just like the cover of the Journey album "Raised on Radio."

Just an F.Y.I. There is also a freight train that runs over Raton which comes from Wichita carrying fuselages of 737s up to Boeing in Seattle. There are also other cars attached, but it's mainly the aircraft bodies.

That is a strange, out of the way, seemingly unnecessarily difficult and longer route than is needed, by a lot, route! From looking at the map, that seems like at least 1000 miles out of the way.

I grew up in Gallup. The Santa Fe railroad was great to watch. The motive power was a great mixture of power. The BNSF is nothing but the Boring orange GEs
