Hello Globku after listening to your (demon slayer game review in progress video)... I heard you state on (6:30) that the game would be less laggy with share play on PlayStation but the demon slayer head quarters on Twitter specifically stated there will not be any share play for PS4 or ps5 at all…and I tried everything to make it work did you found a way to make it work?
How do i change My region? I live in eu but in game it's NA, this makes the online super laggy, sometimes 1 second delay in worst case scenario, how can i fix this?
Will they ever fix the input delay on xbox one? Its literally so bad I lose to it half the time I'm online makes me so sad bc it's so HARD to get the new consoles pls help:(
I’m playing the PS4 version of the game (didn’t see Globku’s video before this) and so far…I haven’t noticed a big issue with delay. This is no cap, I tried playing a Japanese player just to see what it was like, and we were perfect parrying, jump canceling and everything. I have not had the same experience at all. Great review though.
Just finished chapter 4 and I'm really impressed with how well they follow the story and how it feels more cinematic than the storm series for the cut scenes . As a casual this game makes me want to learn the mechanics / combos more . With the small roster size it reminds me of the kill la kill game with how unique the characters feel.
I played through all of the campaign last night, was pretty good. The walking around parts kinda killed the momentum, for me, but I can see people enjoying it. Pretty much all the fights are fun. The Enmu fight was kinda difficult until you get his timing down, but the other fights are pretty easy. HOWEVER, the Akaza fight was annoying as fuck. I ended up just non stop dodging until he did a very specific attack combo that led into basically guaranteed damage, which was very rare. All his other combos had punishers he could use. His fight was the only one that felt like a proper boss fight, but it was still annoying as fuck.
@@PoweredByEnvy I haven't gotten the game yet but knowing how much of a coward and dummy Zenitsu is in the actual anime I completely believe you. He does like Nezuko though and she is one of my favorite characters in the series so for that he kind of gets a pass. Kind of... Which system did you use? I'm going to get the PlayStation five version of the game once I get the system.

I like the fact that you can change the controls within the game to suit your personal and specific needs. Do you have footage of your completed play-through of the game? If so, I like to check it out. As far as Akaza is concerned I can't stand him for what he did to Rengoku in the actual series. I bet that flight is going to be ridiculously hard even on the most basic easiest difficulty level...
Rui and akaza are coming in a free update very soon, but as for the other hashira and demons is understand the concern bc it’s really following the anime and the anime is not gonna be showing a lot of the hashira until later
@Globku Once I get my PlayStation 5 hooked up and ready to go this will be the first game I play. Having seen the series from start to finish in English and Japanese I am beyond hyped to play this game. Awesome review. Thanks!
fun fact: at 1:54 the animators had to block out the part underneath nezukos leg because it was not common to wear underpants in the taisho period edit: mum i have more than 6 likes!
Yo isn’t it weird that they didn’t add the mansion where we fought Kyogai (the drum demon) . It would’ve been nice to have a standard Japanese room to fight in . I liked the aesthetic of that boss battle . Plus it fits the culture , as many cool sword fights usually happen in a tight Japanese room
Nice review and I can agree with alot of this. I own the PS5 version and I love it. I'm kinda upset about the lack of game modes and online options. Stuff like tournament and survival could have basically been copy and pasted from storm no problem. hope these inevitable changes and improvements will elevate this game. Also will you make another review of this game as time passes?
I enjoy the game- i just hope in the future they'll keep updating it and add stuff that keeps me coming back. Besides the characters coming i'd love for there to be an endless/tournament or more offline options too
I did enjoy this game however the multiplayer still needs a couple of fixes, mainly the NET delay. Ive also noticed something, when using your support to escape an opponents combos they can simply dash/boost right under you and continue their combos as if nothing happened. Ive had this happen to be on most matches but I’m not sure if I’m just trash at timing or it has to do with the network.
I have been playing on the Xbox version on the game since Wednesday and I don’t feel any input delay and it feels very smooth and fast. Executing combos and giving correct inputs have been fine so I hope the best for the PlayStation users
Haven't watched the video yet but here is my thought. I love story mode games especially hard ones. This game was way too easy I never died to a boss until Akaza(And I beat him on my third try). I finished the game in less than 5 hours around 4 hours(while trying to collect everything). I also play on PC meaning online matches will be hard to find cause fewer people play on PC. I just wish they made the game a lot harder.
I will probably have around 10 hours if I do all side quests. For me a game that I bought for 60 dollars should at least have 60 hours worth of content or 30 hours.
Yeah I’m gonna pass till the 6 free characters come out, just in case some of the update patches that come alongside them improve the experience on PS4 a bit. Either way the game is visually fantastic, those ultimates are gorgeous! Good jumping off point so I hope this is the start of a series of games from CC2.
@@riptaiyo Not try-hards but more experienced players since Hinokami is extremely similar to Storm (a series thats been out since 2008) with the same developer, engine, system, mechanics and all albeit it more polished
@@riptaiyo Pure gameplay and mechanics/systems are two different things. I never said its a 1:1 same product it builds upon whats already pre-existing. Any person who was deeep in Storm myself included can see it that I can guarantee you.
I've been real excited since I first learned that it played like a storm game, but I've only got a ps4 and switch. That input delay is worse than streaming ps now through WiFi, that really sucks

bruh i hope Genya makes it in boy would be the most unique character since he using a buckshot, wakizashi nichirin blade and he can gain demon abilities for a period of time after consuming even a hair of a demon

Finished all of the story. It was pretty slow but I do wish there was a higher difficulty. The CPU very hard difficulty is really easy to me. I rarely even lose one round. I love the uniqueness of each character. I really don’t feel the input delay
The game actually takes a bit of skill and knowledge and I love that. It’s easy to pick up and mash but a smarter player can really clap you if you commit with this approach. My biggest thing with Anime Arena Fighters was it was too “Mashy” and less thinking but I find myself actually making reads and adapting in most my matches ( casual not even ranked lol ) . A spectator mode is needed for this Gem because the game is most def competitive tournament worthy and would be a good thing for both Creators and the Game itself.
@@qae Oh god, the Rengoku “mains” are everywhere. I don’t know if it’s just him (I already played against everyone else) but his assists just keep attacking after you’ve been guarding for 5+ seconds.
I’ve been encountering Sabitos and some Tanjiros who just turtle and then mash push block into whirlpool. Whirlpool has invincible frames so it’s really annoying if you don’t catch it on start up. It’s a somewhat smart strategy but it’s annoying, cheap and hard to beat. I don’t get how people have fun mashing, turtling and using cheap shit to win
I think it's just because this one is like a prototype and see what people like/dislike and what could be improved or added. That's what happened with the Storm games and I'm sure that's what they're doing here. However I see where you're coming from.
I hope a future sequel focus more on the whole story of the manga, and one thing that I wish for this game is, an update option where you can play a 1v1 battle instead of forcely having another character by your side, that was one proble another game, jump force
They won't be adding manga characters. They will only add characters that are in the anime. When season 2 releases then maybe they will add them but now nope
Not a chance of a sequel covering the entire story, unfortunately. CC2 are most likely already working on the sequel, which we won't get for another 2-3 years. With the anime already airing S2, we MIGHT have S3 just start airing by the time the next game comes out. Which means, in all likelihood, each game will only cover the most recent season, as well as potentially the first arc of the next season. CC2 did this same thing with the Naruto Storm games; this is how they like to tackle game releases, instead of milking a title to death with DLC expansions they quickly move on to the next installment. And, just like the Storm games, they like to remain close to where the anime is projected to be by the time the game releases.
Yeah I noticed that input delay as soon as the first battle by the end of the story I was used to it but man it really messes with the timing of blocks and parries so hopefully we get a patch for that
Amazing review! I finished the game yesterday. The best anime game since storm 4. Im waiting for the demons and hope that after the 6 free character they will continue to support this fantastic game and fix online and ps4 version! I have PS5 but my friends don't and i don't want to win allways because of lag XD

I’ve played 1 chapter of the game on the ps5. My thoughts are that the story mode is enjoyable regardless of watching the anime already. The combat system is amazing as the combo work really well and the variation of only having like 12 characters is quite different. The animation is S tier as should be expected. I’d give it 7-8/10 so far
Honestly on PC I dont feel any delay on offline mods, and the online experience Has been really good, the only problem is that for some people and me it doesnt put me on the correct Region, so instead of europe its shows that im from NA(Steam)
Haven’t played it 😂but from what I can see the combat system is way better than storm 😅only thing I can give storm is music and the fact there is jutsu,more subs and characters
The amount of available characters will obviously increase within time, just look at Power Rangers Battle of the Grid. It only had 8 characters now it has 24+ and more incoming. 😊
Its nice to watch this review so i can get the idea of what the game is like. The only arena fighter i know of with crazy rules and what not that you have to unlock them through playing is Saint Seiya Soldiers Soul. Unfortunately that game takes a long while to unlock every character and what not but 100% is... a long haul
I am on ps4 and I played the story and ranked online I feel no delay I don't know if it's because of your region or something else but im fine when I go up against ps5 user I don't feel a competitive disadvantage I'm currently undefeated with 6 matches and I don't have a delay problem. And your the only person talking about a delay that I know of
I like arena fighters from time to time. Love feeling the mechanics and the different playstyles when the game is good. And going into offline and online matches. Not a big fan of the story modes in most of these. One thing that needs to go away, at least for me,is forcing the player to go through all of the story mode to get the characters. I just wanna test the characters from the getgo and have fun. Locking them in a 10 hour story mode is so tedious. At least make them unlockable by collecting in-game currency or doing some missions. Or just…have them all from the start, like the My Hero Academia games. Just my opinion.
too bad the my hero game had nothing else good about it so the devs probably just gave up trying to bother keeping the player around past messing around in versus mode, I dont even think this demon slayer game is that good but unlocking the characters is nowhere close to the biggest issue
All characters in this game, as well as the Storm games, can be unlocked via VS Mode. Even in offline matches against a computer (or friend), you will earn in-game currency which can be used to unlock the entire roster. It might not be a quick or fun process, mind you. The easiest way to do this in the Storm games was to tweak the CPU settings so they died in one ultimate attack, pick a character with a fast/powerful ultimate, then just farm out the in-game currency by re-challenging the CPU and killing it in one hit. Storm 2 had something like 40 characters and it took an hour or two of offline grinding to unlock all characters. With Demon Slayer's 18 character roster, I can't imagine it would take more than 30(ish) minutes of offline grinding to unlock (assuming the currency-rate is similar to Storm).

The last arena game I tried was OPM (grabbed it after a massive sale), and it forced me to play the story mode, which took me over ten days, considering I only played 1 hour a day due to work. And I remember the last storm game, also forced to play story mode. If Demon Slayer uses a system to earn currency in offline battles, I’d rather do that.
@@Heldgalaxy the MHA games have pretty much every character available from the start, minus the “big” characters like All for One and Full Powered Kai, so I didn’t mind it since I had a lot of characters to try. It’s just annoying when a game locks 80% of the roster on a mode that some people aren’t interested in. Grinding in offline battles or missions at least is quicker and slightly more fun. Wandering in a open world trying to move from point A to point B to move the story, isn’t my cup of tea.
I’ve been playing on PS4 and I haven’t had any issues at all no input delay I was worried about that cause I watched your previous review before I bought the game and I was in sure about buying it but I love it so far cant wait for future videos
I play ps4 and it still delayed I have to everything one second before I can’t even do parry’s on reaction I have to parry 1 to 2 seconds before n when you block n it comes out to late can really get you killed especially when your opponent is using tanjiro and rengoku the game is still fun but the delay is crazy

I can confirm that the Xbox One digital version doesn't have the delay, it works as intended just in case. 2 days with the game without the day one patch and it works well, decent graphics too.
Thank you for informing us seriously this makes a big difference when deciding on which platforms to get the game on I just got mine Xbox series consoles today and wanted to play a game that can take full advantage of the hardware right out the gate with a brand new game and I'm glad to hear that there's no input delay like there is on PlayStation
I believe it's hit and miss for who has delay and who doesn't. Some people have it some people don't have any and some have none, gotta remember the native delay at least for the ps4 controller wirelessly is about 7ms to 14ms
I can also attest to the PS4 version of the game having significant input delay. 16-17 frames consistently 🤭 It might be worth just upgrading to the PS5 version like he recommends
It might just be for some people because in the comments I see people saying the delay is terrible but for me and some other people there almost no delay at all
Haven't felt this much excitment for an arena fighter since the original Naruto Ninja Storm game when it was released back on the PS3... hopefully we get more Demon Slayer titles!!
In case anyone is wondering and sees this, regarding the ps4 input delay, I can say that the Steam (PC) version of this game does not have that problem
I really hope they don’t give up on this game like they do with like EVERY anime game because it has some real potential all they need to do is fix that input delay and add more content and we should be set for a good amount of time
Here, is where it all started. 10 months ago, or 3 years ago depending if your seeing my comment in the future, but here is where the legendary demon slayer saga started.
I hope if they make a second one they add all of what you suggested hopefully they do it when demon slayer is complete so the story is longer, things like: -endless bar mode -unlimited gauge mode/ awakening mode -endless mode -1v1 mode -tournaments -hidden side quest -altering/multiple paths in the story free roam -collectables are more hidden and you can jump whenever you want making exploration feel less linear -more side quest -hidden boss fights -being able to replay boss fights with different characters -make a tower mode fighting characters and bosses with special effects like increased damage or double hp and or you HAVE to win with all conditions completed to climb up to get rewards -better a.i -practice mode could have something as simple as a recording option -definitely colorblind setting -more languages -different difficulties(could be as simple as enemies have increased hp and damage) - better delay netcode or just use rollback netcode -and fix any bugs(like the audio in story mode) (I feel overall they did an amazing job on the game, they just didn't get creative with offline play and didn't want to add to much outside of the story.) If you have any other ideas on what they could've added or add to a second one demon slayer game reply I'm curious on what others might think
-I'd also like for you to able to use two of the boost bars to get out of combos. or use the assist twice to get out instead of once (just more than one way to get out of combos basically) -also remove super armor in surge
Honestly Globkus final score was a little off. Sure Ps5 version can be a B, I mean just the lack of training settings and launch 30fps makes the game mid, but then on top of that delay based netcode. L. But B is fair enough, game is beautiful and combos are satisfying. My main gripe is that PS4 score. C is just wrong, I think I would actually rather play the one punch man game, or better yet, gouge my eyes out of my sockets via my bare hands. 20 frames of delay. 20 FRAMES IN A GAME THAT RUNS PERMANENTLY AT 30 ON PS4. 0.66 seconds of delay in a game where 0.12 seconds of delay can be the difference between your block button and you getting hit. Also gameplay of story mode is satisfactory, looks jaw dropping but has a mid-range of fun. My ratings Ps5: B- (B if it has to be a solid letter) PS4: D (Do not buy at full price)

I really love this game each character is really unique but at the same time easy to learn take zenitsu in the anime he only has one move it's the same in the game but he still is really good. You can change your control's if they don't feel right.
Not to be that guy man, but I had to drop zenitsu after two days. there's way better options, once you get tired of the lack of combo potential he has being nearly non existent.
While yes, you can feel the delay on ps4 it never really bothered me to much maybe because I’m used to delay. Also the fps hasn’t looked choppy to me also I’m used to 30 fps caps so that probably has something to do with it. Other than that I love the game. But globku is right. They need to fix these problems. But overall I’d say buy it on ps4 if you don’t mind those problems

I think people are really blinded by the hype in the comments. This game is not good and is on par with every other arena brawler that these anime game developers spit out. This game some how found a way to be worse than Naruto Storm. It’s an average game.
I kind of agree. It definitely does do some things better, but matches can be such bullshit sometimes. I have a video where someone falls out of my combo for a fraction of a second and is able to activate their ultimate mid-combo, and they hit me because ultimates make you invincible. And then that same player started running away and spamming specials the whole time because the game rewards defensive playstyles. And on top of all that, there’s barely any content in the game.
This game is too horrible definitely an F tier fighting game it’s shocking to me people actually enjoy this shit. If demon slayer wasn’t as popular as it is this game would already be in a trash bin and forgotten about they made the game too noob friendly there is no unique play style it’s just run , spam one combo and block
I think I'm going to wait to pick up this game. Not because of any of the reasons in the review, but mostly to see if the community is still around after a couple of months. Plus, I don't know if 60 is worth, despite how much I want to kick the shit outta people with Nezuko. I'm unfortunately having Kill la Kill flashbacks, where the game was fun, but good lord the online died SO fast.
The lack of content does make it hard to justify buying it for full price. However as a fan of the storm games and a fan of demon slayer I have to jump into it day one. Hopefully the free dlc characters drop soon.
Game finished on PC at 100% and I must say that except the combat system everything else was a big step backwards coming from CC2 The story mode that was always something I saw as a positive point in almost all games of the Storm franchise, in this game nothing seemed relevant In Storm as well as in Hinokami, every major fight has parts with QTE while a cutscene run in the background, in Storm all these parts were well done and many times because of them I even found several fights better in game than in the anime itself, something that was completely different in Demon Slayer, since no fight in the game was remarkable, although yes, at least the enemies have unique moves. But the story mode brings no emotion and seemed several times boring and done in a hurry. My opinion about the other game modes are basically the same as Globku, but I must comment on the online, which in fact has a feeling that the lag is much higher than it should be, no matter if the opponent is in the same region as me and the game is showing that our connection is great, there was always delay and sometimes leading to the point that the game was running like a slide presentation Well, the game did not launch with the potential it could have, now all that can be done is wait for updates and hope for the best
This might make me seem like a dummy but I had to return this game played the story 100% all S’s was a little easy then when it was time to play multiplayer game would crash or dc multiple time I had only 4 decent matches I lost 🤷🏾♂️ but out of the other 8 I dc’d it crashed nah I had 13 hours of gameplay the combat system was meh to me but it wasn’t worth the 77.13 dollars
@@wav3zeq the only thing getting me to not buy is all the copy paste character so many water types they should’ve added every hashira no matter where the anime I think they screwed up on that or idk I’m asking for too much. I was just excepting a lot more.
I skipped through almost every cutscene on story mode. It just went ON AND ON AND ON. Don’t even get me started on Zenitsu walking through the mansion and crying every 5 seconds. Other than that, this game is amazing! Visually pleasing (not stunning) but the combat system is so fun and rewarding! It feels very fluid. I love this game. Hopefully, the DLC will give this game a lot of playability and longevity.
Haven’t noticed anything off about the PC’s input delay so far, if anything it feels smoother than Storm 4. Really sucks to hear that the biggest platform by far is having these problems, tho. Oh and great job as always Globku, keep it up
Do you think the playerbase on PC will be wide? I'll have to play with NA players (I'm from Brazil), so i wanted to know if it will have a solid player base or it will fade with time
"competitive scene" in a cyber connect game, lmao. i mean i guess no matter what game really people can play it competitively, i just think that there are better options than those anime arena fighters that are clearly made to be just a fan service game and nothing else.

Have you even played this game or storm? They can definitely be played competitively when you figure out the mechanics, storm has a whole competitive fanbase. Also rollback would be nice but the games online isn’t bad enough to warrant a change, at least on next gen. Also let’s not use GG Strive as an example for anything lol the only thing that game got right was good rollback 😂
@@msnavy97 i cant really say anything about the competitive community of storm games, but by mechanics do u mean infinites because thats all i saw at high level. anyway, also, dont work agains yourself, rollback allows ur player pool to expand immensely, not just your region, heck i can play melty with people on japan and europe (im from brazil), and the netcode is not as good as strive, ALSO yeah strive has flaws, but the game is fun and, aside maybe 4 characters that were clearly not balanced, the games is pretty well done (by the time im writing this there is a new patch going to drop today so we dont know how things will be)

This is the only game I've wanted all year and to find out that it is basically unplayable for ps4 is so unfair. Hopefully it gets fixed soon, I can't' afford a ps5, I'm only a man.
I will pick this up when it goes on sale. It’s not worth full price rn. Such a shame I hoped it turned out good but lack of content and 10hrs of story mode not worth it on launch for me.
@@Codyslx no dawg fix the game on the aspects that globku said. I don’t see why many people care bout the story mode anyway. Just beat it and on yo pvp and getting better at the game and hopefully if there smart they would add seasonal passes and game modes to prologue the end game
@@braazygzzz5246 "Why many people care about the store mode" Its a 70 dollar game my guy, it *NEEDS* to have a long story mode for its price. Even there last game, dbz kakarot cost 60 dollars and has loads more content and a damn 30 - 40 hour story. Their is alot more they could have done to prolong the story or they could have lowered the price.
I kinda just wish you didn't have to complete the story mode, which is pretty much watching the entire anime all over again, to unlock characters, you can say "just spend kimetsu points" but you still need to play story to get them

I wish they had the same feature that fighterz has where you can queue for ranked matches while being in practice mode and labbing combos. That is the one thing I miss the most in this game.
i literally played through the whole story, a few online matches on wifi btw, and all on the standard ps4 and ive had zero issues so just bc you and a couple ppl tested the ps4 verison on the ps5 doesnt mean the ps4 version is busted. either do the test properly or just dont talk about it
Okay so the defensive options are cool, but they are extremely limited?? Without being able to fuzzy block or do a "chakra" (Full screen) dash while in air means there is zero use for the air game in neutral. And Jesus Christ the net code makes me cry
Games, repetitive animation cancels with same 2 to 3 hit animation intervals you can deal 70% easy off one repetitive 3 hit combo 3x also there's nothing unique about the characters besides their look and particle effects , other then that they all play the exact same its sad that all these Asian companies do is copy n paste the same game over and over and over and we eat it up every time only cuz you're a fan of the anime.

I’m playing the PS4 version of the game (didn’t see Globku’s video before this) and so far…I haven’t noticed a big issue with delay. This is no cap, I tried playing a Japanese player just to see what it was like, and we were perfect parrying, jump canceling and everything. I have not had the same experience at all. Great review though.

Just finished chapter 4 and I'm really impressed with how well they follow the story and how it feels more cinematic than the storm series for the cut scenes . As a casual this game makes me want to learn the mechanics / combos more . With the small roster size it reminds me of the kill la kill game with how unique the characters feel.

I played through all of the campaign last night, was pretty good. The walking around parts kinda killed the momentum, for me, but I can see people enjoying it. Pretty much all the fights are fun. The Enmu fight was kinda difficult until you get his timing down, but the other fights are pretty easy.
HOWEVER, the Akaza fight was annoying as fuck. I ended up just non stop dodging until he did a very specific attack combo that led into basically guaranteed damage, which was very rare. All his other combos had punishers he could use. His fight was the only one that felt like a proper boss fight, but it was still annoying as fuck.
I agree, having to walk around with Zenitsu was especially annoying. Good thing he more than made up for it as a fighter.

He does like Nezuko though and she is one of my favorite characters in the series so for that he kind of gets a pass. Kind of... Which system did you use? Yo isn’t it weird that they didn’t add the mansion where we fought Kyogai (the drum demon) . It would’ve been nice to have a standard Japanese room to fight in . I liked the aesthetic of that boss battle . Plus it fits the culture , as many cool sword fights usually happen in a tight Japanese room
Nice review and I can agree with alot of this. I own the PS5 version and I love it. I'm kinda upset about the lack of game modes and online options. Stuff like tournament and survival could have basically been copy and pasted from storm no problem. hope these inevitable changes and improvements will elevate this game. I enjoy the game- i just hope in the future they'll keep updating it and add stuff that keeps me coming back. Besides the characters coming i'd love for there to be an endless/tournament or more offline options too
I did enjoy this game however the multiplayer still needs a couple of fixes, mainly the NET delay. Ive also noticed something, when using your support to escape an opponents combos they can simply dash/boost right under you and continue their combos as if nothing happened. Ive had this happen to be on most matches but I’m not sure if I’m just trash at timing or it has to do with the network.
I have been playing on the Xbox version on the game since Wednesday and I don’t feel any input delay and it feels very smooth and fast. Executing combos and giving correct inputs have been fine so I hope the best for the PlayStation users

Haven't watched the video yet but here is my thought. I love story mode games especially hard ones. This game was way too easy I never died to a boss until Akaza(And I beat him on my third try). I finished the game in less than 5 hours around 4 hours(while trying to collect everything). I also play on PC meaning online matches will be hard to find cause fewer people play on PC. I just wish they made the game a lot harder.
I will probably have around 10 hours if I do all side quests. For me a game that I bought for 60 dollars should at least have 60 hours worth of content or 30 hours.
I hope they add crossplatform as well so I can play with different people from different consoles.

Finished all of the story. It was pretty slow but I do wish there was a higher difficulty. The CPU very hard difficulty is really easy to me. I rarely even lose one round. I love the uniqueness of each character. I really don’t feel the input delay
This is very good, it's like storm 1. A good start and a promising series with lots of potential.
The game actually takes a bit of skill and knowledge and I love that. It’s easy to pick up and mash but a smarter player can really clap you if you commit with this approach. My biggest thing with Anime Arena Fighters was it was too “Mashy” and less thinking but I find myself actually making reads and adapting in most my matches ( casual not even ranked lol ) . A spectator mode is needed for this Gem because the game is most def competitive tournament worthy and would be a good thing for both Creators and the Game itself.

I’ve been encountering Sabitos and some Tanjiros who just turtle and then mash push block into whirlpool. Whirlpool has invincible frames so it’s really annoying if you don’t catch it on start up. It’s a somewhat smart strategy but it’s annoying, cheap and hard to beat. I don’t get how people have fun mashing, turtling and using cheap shit to win

They won't be adding manga characters. They will only add characters that are in the anime. When season 2 releases then maybe they will add them but now nope
Not a chance of a sequel covering the entire story, unfortunately. CC2 are most likely already working on the sequel, which we won't get for another 2-3 years. With the anime already airing S2, we MIGHT have S3 just start airing by the time the next game comes out. Which means, in all likelihood, each game will only cover the most recent season, as well as potentially the first arc of the next season. CC2 did this same thing with the Naruto Storm games; this is how they like to tackle game releases, instead of milking a title to death with DLC expansions they quickly move on to the next installment. And, just like the Storm games, they like to remain close to where the anime is projected to be by the time the game releases.

Doesn’t require much set up and it doesn’t need to be a grab. The can heavy attack you and get some damage which could be a deciding factor.

Yeah I noticed that input delay as soon as the first battle by the end of the story I was used to it but man it really messes with the timing of blocks and parries so hopefully we get a patch for that

For some reason, I don't have an input delay when I play on PS4
I’ve played 1 chapter of the game on the ps5. My thoughts are that the story mode is enjoyable regardless of watching the anime already. The combat system is amazing as the combo work really well and the variation of only having like 12 characters is quite different. The animation is S tier as should be expected. I’d give it 7-8/10 so far
Honestly on PC I dont feel any delay on offline mods, and the online experience Has been really good, the only problem is that for some people and me it doesnt put me on the correct Region, so instead of europe its shows that im from NA(Steam)

The amount of available characters will obviously increase within time, just look at Power Rangers Battle of the Grid. It only had 8 characters now it has 24+ and more incoming. 😊
Demon Slayer doesnt have many characters tho... power rangers has multiple decades of different rosters of characters to pick from...

The only arena fighter i know of with crazy rules and what not that you have to unlock them through playing is Saint Seiya Soldiers Soul. Unfortunately that game takes a long while to unlock every character and what not but 100% is... a long haul
I like the story a lot I love living the demons fights yourself but the multiplayer like is delayed alot
I am on ps4 and I played the story and ranked online I feel no delay I don't know if it's because of your region or something else but im fine when I go up against ps5 user I don't feel a competitive disadvantage I'm currently undefeated with 6 matches and I don't have a delay problem. I like arena fighters from time to time. Love feeling the mechanics and the different playstyles when the game is good. And going into offline and online matches. Not a big fan of the story modes in most of these. One thing that needs to go away, at least for me,is forcing the player to go through all of the story mode to get the characters. I just wanna test the characters from the getgo and have fun. Locking them in a 10 hour story mode is so tedious. At least make them unlockable by collecting in-game currency or doing some missions. Or just…have them all from the start, like the My Hero Academia games. Just my opinion.
too bad the my hero game had nothing else good about it so the devs probably just gave up trying to bother keeping the player around past messing around in versus mode, I dont even think this demon slayer game is that good but unlocking the characters is nowhere close to the biggest issue

All characters in this game, as well as the Storm games, can be unlocked via VS Mode. Even in offline matches against a computer (or friend), you will earn in-game currency which can be used to unlock the entire roster. It might not be a quick or fun process, mind you. The easiest way to do this in the Storm games was to tweak the CPU settings so they died in one ultimate attack, pick a character with a fast/powerful ultimate, then just farm out the in-game currency by re-challenging the CPU and killing it in one hit. Storm 2 had something like 40 characters and it took an hour or two of offline grinding to unlock all characters. With Demon Slayer's 18 character roster, I can't imagine it would take more than 30(ish) minutes of offline grinding to unlock (assuming the currency-rate is similar to Storm).

The last arena game I tried was OPM (grabbed it after a massive sale), and it forced me to play the story mode, which took me over ten days, considering I only played 1 hour a day due to work. And I remember the last storm game, also forced to play story mode. If Demon Slayer uses a system to earn currency in offline battles, I’d rather do that.
@@Heldgalaxy the MHA games have pretty much every character available from the start, minus the “big” characters like All for One and Full Powered Kai, so I didn’t mind it since I had a lot of characters to try. It’s just annoying when a game locks 80% of the roster on a mode that some people aren’t interested in. Grinding in offline battles or missions at least is quicker and slightly more fun. Wandering in a open world trying to move from point A to point B to move the story, isn’t my cup of tea.
I got this game after Christmas for Ps5 and I’m loving it, I’ve just got upto the mugen train arc and I can’t wait to try the online mode.

I play ps4 and it still delayed I have to everything one second before I can’t even do parry’s on reaction I have to parry 1 to 2 seconds before n when you block n it comes out to late can really get you killed especially when your opponent is using tanjiro and rengoku the game is still fun but the delay is crazy

I can confirm that the Xbox One digital version doesn't have the delay, it works as intended just in case. 2 days with the game without the day one patch and it works well, decent graphics too.

I believe it's hit and miss for who has delay and who doesn't. Some people have it some people don't have any and some have none, gotta remember the native delay at least for the ps4 controller wirelessly is about 7ms to 14ms

I really hope they don’t give up on this game like they do with like EVERY anime game because it has some real potential all they need to do is fix that input delay and add more content and we should be set for a good amount of time

Here, is where it all started. 10 months ago, or 3 years ago depending if your seeing my comment in the future, but here is where the legendary demon slayer saga started.
I hope if they make a second one they add all of what you suggested hopefully they do it when demon slayer is complete so the story is longer, things like:
-endless bar mode
-unlimited gauge mode/ awakening mode
-endless mode
-1v1 mode
-tournaments
-hidden side quest
-altering/multiple paths in the story free roam
-collectables are more hidden and you can jump whenever you want making exploration feel less linear
-more side quest
-hidden boss fights
-being able to replay boss fights with different characters
-make a tower mode fighting characters and bosses with special effects like increased damage or double hp and or you HAVE to win with all conditions completed to climb up to get rewards
-better a.i
-practice mode could have something as simple as a recording option
-definitely colorblind setting
-more languages
-different difficulties(could be as simple as enemies have increased hp and damage)
- better delay netcode or just use rollback netcode
-and fix any bugs(like the audio in story mode)
(I feel overall they did an amazing job on the game, they just didn't get creative with offline play and didn't want to add to much outside of the story.)

Honestly Globkus final score was a little off. Sure Ps5 version can be a B, I mean just the lack of training settings and launch 30fps makes the game mid, but then on top of that delay based netcode. L. But B is fair enough, game is beautiful and combos are satisfying.
My main gripe is that PS4 score. C is just wrong, I think I would actually rather play the one punch man game, or better yet, gouge my eyes out of my sockets via my bare hands. 20 frames of delay. 20 FRAMES IN A GAME THAT RUNS PERMANENTLY AT 30 ON PS4. 0.66 seconds of delay in a game where 0.12 seconds of delay can be the difference between your block button and you getting hit.
Also gameplay of story mode is satisfactory, looks jaw dropping but has a mid-range of fun.

I really love this game each character is really unique but at the same time easy to learn take zenitsu in the anime he only has one move it's the same in the game but he still is really good. You can change your control's if they don't feel right.
Not to be that guy man, but I had to drop zenitsu after two days. there's way better options, once you get tired of the lack of combo potential he has being nearly non existent.
While yes, you can feel the delay on ps4 it never really bothered me to much maybe because I’m used to delay. Also the fps hasn’t looked choppy to me also I’m used to 30 fps caps so that probably has something to do with it. Other than that I love the game. But globku is right. They need to fix these problems. But overall I’d say buy it on ps4 if you don’t mind those problems

@@daymi7300 yes I would recommend. The freedom with fighting alone with the story mode was enough to mask the problems with the game for me. I'd say go for it

I think people are really blinded by the hype in the comments. This game is not good and is on par with every other arena brawler that these anime game developers spit out. This game some how found a way to be worse than Naruto Storm. It’s an average game.
I kind of agree. It definitely does do some things better, but matches can be such bullshit sometimes. I have a video where someone falls out of my combo for a fraction of a second and is able to activate their ultimate mid-combo, and they hit me because ultimates make you invincible. And then that same player started running away and spamming specials the whole time because the game rewards defensive playstyles. And on top of all that, there’s barely any content in the game.
This game is too horrible definitely an F tier fighting game it’s shocking to me people actually enjoy this shit. If demon slayer wasn’t as popular as it is this game would already be in a trash bin and forgotten about they made the game too noob friendly there is no unique play style it’s just run , spam one combo and block
I think I'm going to wait to pick up this game. Not because of any of the reasons in the review, but mostly to see if the community is still around after a couple of months. Plus, I don't know if 60 is worth, despite how much I want to kick the shit outta people with Nezuko.
I'm unfortunately having Kill la Kill flashbacks, where the game was fun, but good lord the online died SO fast.

The lack of content does make it hard to justify buying it for full price. However as a fan of the storm games and a fan of demon slayer I have to jump into it day one. Hopefully the free dlc characters drop soon.
Game finished on PC at 100% and I must say that except the combat system everything else was a big step backwards coming from CC2
The story mode that was always something I saw as a positive point in almost all games of the Storm franchise, in this game nothing seemed relevant
In Storm as well as in Hinokami, every major fight has parts with QTE while a cutscene run in the background, in Storm all these parts were well done and many times because of them I even found several fights better in game than in the anime itself, something that was completely different in Demon Slayer, since no fight in the game was remarkable, although yes, at least the enemies have unique moves.
But the story mode brings no emotion and seemed several times boring and done in a hurry.
My opinion about the other game modes are basically the same as Globku, but I must comment on the online, which in fact has a feeling that the lag is much higher than it should be, no matter if the opponent is in the same region as me and the game is showing that our connection is great, there was always delay and sometimes leading to the point that the game was running like a slide presentation
Well, the game did not launch with the potential it could have, now all that can be done is wait for updates and hope for the best
This might make me seem like a dummy but I had to return this game played the story 100% all S’s was a little easy then when it was time to play multiplayer game would crash or dc multiple time I had only 4 decent matches I lost 🤷🏾♂️ but out of the other 8 I dc’d it crashed nah I had 13 hours of gameplay the combat system was meh to me but it wasn’t worth the 77.13 dollars

I skipped through almost every cutscene on story mode. It just went ON AND ON AND ON. Don’t even get me started on Zenitsu walking through the mansion and crying every 5 seconds. Other than that, this game is amazing! Visually pleasing (not stunning) but the combat system is so fun and rewarding! It feels very fluid. I love this game. Hopefully, the DLC will give this game a lot of playability and longevity.

Tbh so far the hardest boss for me was Emmu only because I could t attack I didn’t die at all but I could t get close

Haven’t noticed anything off about the PC’s input delay so far, if anything it feels smoother than Storm 4. Really sucks to hear that the biggest platform by far is having these problems, tho. Oh and great job as always Globku, keep it up

Have you even played this game or storm? They can definitely be played competitively when you figure out the mechanics, storm has a whole competitive fanbase. Also rollback would be nice but the games online isn’t bad enough to warrant a change, at least on next gen. Also let’s not use GG Strive as an example for anything lol the only thing that game got right was good rollback 😂
@@msnavy97 i cant really say anything about the competitive community of storm games, but by mechanics do u mean infinites because thats all i saw at high level. anyway, also, dont work agains yourself, rollback allows ur player pool to expand immensely, not just your region, heck i can play melty with people on japan and europe (im from brazil), and the netcode is not as good as strive, ALSO yeah strive has flaws, but the game is fun and, aside maybe 4 characters that were clearly not balanced, the games is pretty well done (by the time im writing this there is a new patch going to drop today so we dont know how things will be)

This is the only game I've wanted all year and to find out that it is basically unplayable for ps4 is so unfair. Hopefully it gets fixed soon, I can't' afford a ps5, I'm only a man.

Its a 70 dollar game my guy, it *NEEDS* to have a long story mode for its price.
Even there last game, dbz kakarot cost 60 dollars and has loads more content and a damn 30 - 40 hour story. Their is alot more they could have done to prolong the story or they could have lowered the price.
I kinda just wish you didn't have to complete the story mode, which is pretty much watching the entire anime all over again, to unlock characters, you can say "just spend kimetsu points" but you still need to play story to get them
Seems to be similar to the Storm game arc: The first game is okay, the Second will (maybe) be a knockout.

This game deserves an A dude, it does have some flaws but overall I would give it an A more than anything
I wish they had the same feature that fighterz has where you can queue for ranked matches while being in practice mode and labbing combos. That is the one thing I miss the most in this game.
i literally played through the whole story, a few online matches on wifi btw, and all on the standard ps4 and ive had zero issues so just bc you and a couple ppl tested the ps4 verison on the ps5 doesnt mean the ps4 version is busted. either do the test properly or just dont talk about it
Okay so the defensive options are cool, but they are extremely limited?? Without being able to fuzzy block or do a "chakra" (Full screen) dash while in air means there is zero use for the air game in neutral. And Jesus Christ the net code makes me cry
No one should rate a game that haven’t even been out for 1 week, ever game deserves at least one week of play to be judge fully
Games, repetitive animation cancels with same 2 to 3 hit animation intervals you can deal 70% easy off one repetitive 3 hit combo 3x also there's nothing unique about the characters besides their look and particle effects , other then that they all play the exact same its sad that all these Asian companies do is copy n paste the same game over and over and over and we eat it up every time only cuz you're a fan of the anime.
I personally havnt noticed any issue in online matches so long as connection isnt red, otherwise my battles go great and no issue and I am wireless.
