Can you look if some characters have changed? Because I think at least Zenitsus Thunderclap and Flash, both Prime and regular, no have a hitbox for the full lenght of the Dash! Also, it might ust feel like it, but it seems that characters in general have slower Skillbar regeneration, I am pretty sure it takes more time with Zenitsu too, so I guess it is a general change (Note here: I only tried Zenitsu and the two demons so far after the patch, so I might be wrong, but it definately feels like what I described).

I'm loving Akaza and Rui cause they unique, Akaza out here kicking, jumping and punching people and Rui fighting in Long Range is fun as hell this game has potential.

To be fair, it was incredibly suspicious that not a single demon received a character showcase like the slayers.
The fact that they are being added as post-launch FREE dlc may imply they didn't plan to add them, but felt they had to after people starting talking about it, altho i doubt it.
@@nb2044 They probably did not just code them that fast. Since Nezuko was in base roster adding DLC demons made a lot of sense.

I feel like Akaza is more geared for experienced players. It took me a bit longer to get used to him more so than the demon slayers.
doesnt matter if you are experienced or not. Fact is, he deals way less dmg than most, less then anyone in general and takes the most damage...

@@Ez-gf2bk i don't think a ToD is very special in this game, especially considering that every character can do one in the same circumstances half the time, especially if tested on most of the middle area of damage multiplayer characters

It's just hilarious going into every online match and it's just Akaza and Rui. I haven't seen another character for like multiple hours lol

Akaza is very fun to play and has some decent combos, CC2 did a good job with him
Meeh, the damage is only good when he uses a ton of resources which in this game specifically isn't that good. Unless you use boost a lot to get meter back, Akaza is only ever gonna do a really high damaging combo then play kinda passive until he gets his gauge back.
@@adamhussain1207 yeah you’re right. it seems you have to play Akaza a little too safe, but i love playing him regardless. there’s just something awesome about how he plays and looks
@@AJ__525 oh yeah I'm probably gonna play him for a while 100% but it just sucks about the amount of resources. Like I wouldn't mind it if he took more damage because he DOES more damage but he really doesn't do damage at all 😅. Hoping for a buff tbh.
@@adamhussain1207 actually he is fine with a 4500 damage combo and as a demon you can waste all your resources boost get all of it back and also HEAL. Boosting is a big part of a demons kit.
@@wayup1156 which I'm beginning to grasp. Boosting is definitely gonna be a meta that a Demon players are gonna use. Which is sad because they have the best looking ults
Personally im enjoying Rui more, his skill set is so unique instead of punching or attacking with a sword, you out here using strings, and when you boost or surge strings are red that's amazing. 😂

I also feel like both, Akaza and Rui have amazing tools but their damage is too low and take way too much damage!
Giving them a 1.0 dmg mulitplier + increasing their damage a bit should make them much more viable.
Atleast both are super fun to play!
I may agree with this for Akaza but not Rui. With how much access he has to damage around the map and his wide range normals, extra damage would make him a bit too powerful
yeah rui dont need shit he's pretty cheat as it is. Between across the map damage and the fact u can just bait an approach with his counter (especially against akaza) its pretty wild if he gets any sort of buff he doesn't need it.

I feel similarly, and I very much believe that his damage should be increased. Especially because he can't even kill Hinokami Kagura Tanjiro with his max damage combo, that's very upsetting. He should be doing way more damage than he normally does.

I may have mentioned this in the previous video's comment section, but I agree. It just annoyed me how much resources you have to use to get decent amount of damage with the demons. Combine it with the fact that they take a lot of damage and they're kinda mid-tier. I wouldn't mind the extra damage taken if the Demons also did great damage but you have to waste too many resources. Still having a lot of fun with Akaza and probably gonna play him for a while.
It's just balancing the fact that demons regen Is super op
@@Omaymais86 I would say that Rui’s regen is really op but akaza’s isn’t as much because rui can keep the opponent at a distant to guarantee the heal but if your opponent starts playing super aggressive while you’re trying to heal as akaza you end up not getting as much out of it
@@Omaymais86 meh regen isn't really that big of an issue especially when you can 2 touch Akaza if you play any high damaging character. And the regen is only good if you use surge
Since akaza's triangle move can hard knock you down you can just stay back and regen
What do demons get to compensate the lack of an assist player? Is it just an extra attack?
I can't wait for when they buff them then everyone starts complaining OMG NOW THEY'RE DOING TOO MUCH DAMAGE! Nerf them now CC2.

It’s the same with every game
They don't even need buffed. Most just suck with them and think every character should do rengoku or hinokami tanjiro damage. He's made that way so it's harder to play with him for a reason.

They’re fun to play but they suck. Akaza with the lowest health in the game when he should be built like a tank and have at least near the same defense as Urokodaki. He doesn’t do as much damage as he should. Rui has good range attacks but no damage with his skills. Both characters can’t tod at all. Not even able to reach 9k damage. They’re demons so they’re supposed to be strong yet they made them trash in the game.
Have his Defense like Urokodaki when demons can heal with surge?That makes no sense and really breaks the game
@@epyonkage the healing is trash LMFAO it heals barely a quarter of ur health. Maybe not Urokodaki but at least like a little bit less than his. It definitely does make sense bc demons are by themselves so they have no support to protect themselves. They’re defense is trash asf and don’t do much damage.
@@averagekobenienjoyer7639 For rui i think the low damage is fair considering how ridiculous his stage control is. But for akaza he definitely needs s significsnt damage buff if nothing else. I also dont understand why their ults do less damage lol
@@friendlyneighbourhoodgoji786 I mean I think they should buff Rui’s skill damage a bit because even if they block it or get hit, it’s honestly still a waste of a bar since it doesn’t do much damage. They need to buff both of their health because it’s absolutely horrible and disrespectful towards demons that are supposed to be really strong. Other than that Rui’s fine. They need to buff Akaza’s defense so much more and same with Rui, make him do more damage. I don’t even know if they make buffs or changes on arena fighting games. I’m not sure if they’ve done any character changes on Naruto storm. If not, then it looks like characters will never be balanced on Demon Slayer
One thing you've missed aswell, Akaza has barely ANY guard damage with his specials unlike other characters. As an aggressive rush down character he's supposed to excel in making the opponent get scared of blocking but he has no ability to reliably break guard without spamming the dash mechanic. So really he just isn't scary at all in the game, literally blocking him all day would be the best option against him and he can do nothing about it without wasting a shit ton of meter.

It is really surprising how little damage he does, but part of me really likes that because cyberconnect in the past would absolutely make him op as hell. This to me shows awareness of balancing, and even if they fumble a bit in that, I think this leads to a much more fun game for a much longer time
And yet Rengoku still shreds HP bars in half with like 2 or 3 skills

Oh boy
when i first picked up akaza i liked his playstyle, somewhat similar to shinobu's (my old main) i enjoyed having an extra 2 moves too, the whole demon thing is unique which is why i started to main him. im glad that people see him as a sort of low tier as it makes it so that he isnt EVERYWHERE. it really helps as mirror matches suck
I think having better defense and better damage for akaza would help him be a lot more viable because being able to tank more while dealing more damage could make up for the lack of an assist since so much of the high level play revolves around the use of an assist and effective switching

Agree. I think a defense buff mixed with a small damage buff would make him a lot more viable competitively since that would help make up for a lack of assist because as it is if you get caught without any demon gauge half of your health is guaranteed to be gone lol

I think a really good part of him is because his light hits on usually short 1:1 hit to buttons (besides his last hit in his autocombo) but because of that it is super fast to dash or jump cancel out of his buttons and keep himself safe
Akaza seems to be a high-risk (somewhat) high-reward character.
If you’re experienced, you can probably be pretty good with him if you’re a risk taker.
Rui, I think, looks very good!

Unfortunately he is high-risk low-reward because his damage is dog water and his combos take away his ability to defend himself and he has the lowest defense in the game. LOL
I been dominating with akaza on ranked I just tilt assist through water wheels and the Regen on boost and burst is so good brought back Alot of games for me I think he's good not op just fun

His attacks are so easy to punish. But you need to make balances like that.
People thought range attacks would be overpowered, but atleast for him it's easy to just walk away.
His compass needle is my favourite move to punish. That lag at the end is so beautiful 😭
i've taken a fair amount of L's with akaza vs RUI specifically. His range and easier combos make him way less skill heavy in my opinion. Akaza has to do so much more to get anywhere to fight just about all the characters. Its pretty annoying but it seems like the highest risk character.
i’m loving akaza personally ive won all matches but 1 with him i even got a few 5000 damage combos without using all 5 bars
So after play testing with Akaza for literally 7 hours straight the first night. I’ve concluded that he and Rui are in a league of their own if in the right hands. What they lack in defense they make up for with destructive combos. If they use a boost or surge good luck if they don’t drop the combo. I’ll be uploading some gameplay to my channel of some things I was able to do with him.
This dudes super is why im only using him 😭 it looks so good!

I feel like tilt demon skills should start blue HSD combos at least for akaza, he needs more combo routes cuz his damage is sub par no matter what he hits you with
He works for my play style since i only escape combos that lead to the ultimate anyway.

For me akaza's best move is compass needle because its a good combo starter and you can follow up with annahilation type or collapse
Akaza is crazy fun to use regardless imo & i was able to do some good dmg with him atleast.. But yea Rui seems to be the best of the two characters dlc.. His long range attacks & specials are easily spammable if you dont know what to do against it..

Every time I play this game I can't help but think there needs to be a Jujutsu Kaisen game from CC2 I'm telling yall it would be hype. Just imagine the ultimates and different cursed techniques for the cast. They could easily do a awesome story mode, each character would feel unique. The domain expansions would be cool surge/awakening
He’s very fun to use
You can cancel out of the heavy attack with a jump or dash for one bar
Feel like they can both be played kinda technical they have a lot of tools that are good for them
Just wanted to ask you about this Globku, you think there's any potential for akaza's neutral special 1st ki blast(my name for them ;D)? from practicing, it doesn't seem to add to the hit count and in some cases perhaps spaced enough to force a reset? I personally think Akaza is broken if you play aggressively and your block is decent, also feel like compass needle teleport/homing's potential is hidden for right now.

I'm glad some content creators aren't overhyping these demons. They're such a let Down. Takes far too many resources to every get middle or the road damage. That ain't work in a game like this where 2-3 combos can kill you
So to Globku, the best move in this game is ZBroly's EX chuchu train!
His movies look so beautiful I'm gonna use him just for this reason. 😂
Honestly I see most people enjoying both of them and playing them a lot. They are both definitely solid in their own ways. I can't wait for future demons

Ending Akaza's combos in a skill cause that extended meter regen rate. If you end a combo with an attack that isnt a skill, you will start regen before they get up

I mean, it’s not like he does “no damage” without using demon skills. It’s just average damage most of the time then he can choose to do more damage if he’s feelin’ frisky
Demons actually do less ULT damage overall and the surge drains what seem to be 2x as fast...

Definitely he isnt S tier but not a low tier neither.
CC2 did a really bad job with Akaza, he should be the strongest antagonist until now in the game and he seems be a loud braggart surpassed for a lower moon, not easy to play and his health is low. Wont be a surprise if Enmu is better too. Maybe they didnt want he overshadow Tanjiro or Rengoku. I was really hype for his character in the game but now Im Sad and dissapointed.

Akaza is able to do an easy 4400 with one meter and one demon meter. If you charge his heavy you can chase him into the air, combo into a plunge, chase him back into the air for a plunge again, and then use his demon skill that knocks down. The last skill by itself does over 2k damage.
The biggest issue I have with Rui is how much damage he takes. And I didn’t know how valuable assists were until I used these demons and get my special bar back with an assists to protect me. I feel like if his damage multiplier was dropped to like 1.15 or 1.10, then it would properly make up for it. Then just lower how much they heal in boost and surge

I tried so many different characters but none of them were a match for me so I just kept losing. I tried playing with akaza and that was my first win ever so point is I love akaza as a character

@globku I'm not really having any trouble with Akaza's damage I think he is at least low mid or maybe just mid. He's super fun to me, however his defense could use some changing

The way Akaza is set up, he really should do more damage for the fact he takes so much. Not saying he should doing ludicrous amounts, but he definitely should have higher numbers than the strongest character in game.

Akazas combos are so good if you know what your doing I'm still not as good with him as I am with slayers but I see people saying he's only good in ranked for spam which is not true if you know what your doing you can preform Amazon combos also I thought Akaza had a decent defense cuz he takes less damage then shinobu every time I tested it

Tbh people should have known Akaza would be pretty weak, during the Rengoku fight in story mode he wasn't exactly strong, just fast. I think only one of his moves did high damage during that fight but the rest were just showboaty. Rui is definitely the better demon to play as.

Akaza really deserves to be in Street Fighter or Tekken.
I called that he wouldn’t do any damage. These demons are definitely heavily based on their boss fight characters. I hope they get really creative with enmu with maybe flesh traps or turrets that shoot the dream energy once every few seconds 2 or 3 times. I just hope he is a zoner and not a spammer.
In the future the demons definitely need more op move to make up for the lack of an assist.
Enmu gives me Deidara vibes because of his hand so Enmu could spam like Deidara did in Storm 4? Who knows
Deidara wasnt a spam character he was a zone character and he wasnt even good if you cant dash through enmus dream attacks he might be annoying but I still dont think any demon can really beat the slayers cause of the lack of assist

If your playing agressive with akaza and you know high dmging combos, you beat like anyone. Ive fought quite a lot of akaza players most of them run and repeat the same combo. But the only ones that beat me are the ones who play agressive
