I've been using STARLINK for nearly 4 years. You'll def love it. The only times I've really lost connection is when there is HEAVY thunderstorms. Otherwise, it's been nearly constant connection. I use a landline as well, and that goes down once a month at the least. Starlink, haven't noticed any regular downtimes.
I moved it to the house to see how it was with the likes of netflix and youtube, works amazing, definitely getting higher quality feeds from Netflix, and on youtube it managed to stream some of the full 8k streams (I have a 75" 8k tv in the living room) and it was so clear and sharp.
Awesome, that's a great result. Looks like the new Starlink dish is quite a bit smaller than the previous version which is good to see. I've decided to go down the Starlink route as well. Being out in the sticks I have to use 4G and its performance has been slowly degrading over time due to increased contention. Last month was a new low point, my speed test came back as 1.2meg down and 0.08meg up for most of the day which was basically unusable. Looking forward to seeing how this performs during your live streams👍
Yeh, possibly, once I decide where I'm finally putting it, the obstruction image and what the app tells will be the decider....after I mad e this video, I moved it onto one of the villa balconies, and the obstruction image mapped the roofline and chimney stack well, so pretty good at showing where the issues are.
Hiya Dave . Does it not seem a teeny bit ironic that you , an Astrophotographer , are supporting a product whose Satellites create issues for Astrophotography ? LOL . Looking forward to seeing the final integration into your System . Cheers !
Hi there, I have my network setup with 2 providers, Cosmos and Starlink, done no traffic routing and it pleases itself which connection to use, and starlink is around 50ms average ping, but not consistent, The cosmos link is definitely better ping, but slow. Need to setup up some rules for the TV etc to use starlink and leave the Cosmos bandwidth for gaming. Waiting for fibre to be installed. You maybe just need to switch providers, I'm sure you should get better than 100 up in Polis.
can u tell me about the ping test 8.8.8.8 whats the ping coming back please? thank you great video

That's great to hear thanks, have you done any livestreams over the connection?

Cheers Logan.

Hi there I don't think I paid any import fees, I'm sure it was shipped from within Europe.
very good results,You may well be better having the dish atop a scaffolding pole mast with 4 steel wire stays
