It's hard to see, but in the very beginning of the clip, it shows he has a green arrow for a protected right turn, which turns to amber after the point where he can safely stop.
Maybe you should carefully watch the clips next time before posting. The cammer had a green protected arrow that turned yellow just as he was turning. He did nothing wrong.
16:06 One "good deed" deserves another. Illegally parking across the sidewalk, violating ADA statutes, Hopefully they got the $2500 fine that goes along with it, then had to deal with insurance on the accident.
@@DQBlizzard_ Yes he did. If you look at the light more closely, there is a green turn signal for him to turn on. It turns yellow just as he was turning. You just have to watch the light itself.
2:36 That's a bunch of b.s. An anxiety attack doesn't make you change from braking to hitting the accelerator pedal. And you clearly didn't "freeze up" because you transitioned from braking to accelerating.
9:30 omg! how did the car just crumple like that!!?? Looked like an older car, so I'm thankful there is more technology and thought put into crumple zones. So sad for the people in that car :(
The second Uhaul clip. Why did you chase the car that backed into you? You had a clear image of their plate, and you could have just gotten out of the car and looked to see if there was any damage.
4:13 good thing to do in a situation like this is to hold your lane, especially if you’re not sure if someone is in the lane you’re swerving into. The truck makes no contact and leaves while the 2 other vehicles have to deal with their crash at no fault of theirs except the bad swerve from the driver in the left exit lane.
15. Hell they do this a lot in north western Virginia aswell. Extremely annoying. If you got people up your ass.....give em some wiggle room in a safe area to pass. I never go below the speed limit, but if I just want to drive that speed, I at least find an area to give a courtesy pass for somebody that wants to go zoom zoom on the twisties.
0:38 Something like this happening to me terrifies me. I’m lucky the car I drive has a blind spot camera on the right door, so I can see more clearly if the truck I am trying to pass crosses the line or not. My mom almost got hit once because he was drifting asleep while she was passing but she hit her brakes in time luckily. Her beeping sure woke him up lol. Ever since that incident I’ve been turning on that camera every time I pass a truck.
Big rigs do have mirrors mounted on their hoods to cover the blind spot. Getting the driver to always check them adequately before moving over is, of course, a different matter.
That last one. The kid didn't RUIN YOUR DAY! Maybe upset you or you thought about it but there was no accident. Totalling your vehicle would have ruined your day. I'd hate to see what you would say if you had gotten the wrong order in the drive through. Geez!
#7 failure to yield on wet roads or not, you could have braked and TRIED to avoid this collision. #10 lmao they didn't cut you off, you basically proceeded late which made room for them to get over.
1:17 This was a 50/50. The white ford should've looked to see if it's clear to turn first. For cammer, there was enough time to brake. I'm not sure why he didn't.
the subtitles are crying "I'm the victim, they're the offender" when in many cases both parties could have avoided the collisions, had they had their wits about them
3:00 While it may not have been very nice of him, he was making his next move very well known to you with his blinker for quite a while, you knew exactly what he was going to do and chose not to ease off the gas, so no need to pretend you're so surprised and give the little honk...
Actually, he did the least he could have done in that instance. Is one thing to need to change lanes, another to cut the line like that low life did. That was not a honk of surprise.
@@danielv7340 Of course it was, if it wasn't then why not honk before he changed lanes? Cammer knew what was about to happen but decided not to get off the gas
6:04 not accident related but cammer was listing to theepicnate315 about what I could only assume to be a fallout or Skyrim mystery. XD that’s awesome.
1:16 #7 Looks like the cammer was going slow enough to avoid that accident and just decided he was going to hit them to teach them a lesson for pulling out in front of him when he had the right of way. Pretty sure the insurance company is going to cite him because he did nothing to even TRY to avoid the accident.
5:10 this was obviously not a brake check. Yellow truck slowed down in antipication that Swift truck would pull to the left to avoid the stopped Xtra truck on right shoulder. Cammer was the idiot, don't tell me he couldn't have slowed down 10 mph to avoid this accident.
80 **thousand** pounds does not decelerate on a dime. Rental driver was an absolute idiot. Almost got hit a second time by the Swift truck (any truckers here who can verify the reputation of that company drivers' typical skill level?)
@@amzarnacht6710 of course it can't stop on a dime, but there was clearly an area larger than a dime between the yellow truck and the cammer. The cammer waited 4 seconds before even touching their brakes. Cammer also does not know what the definition of a brake check is.
It’s funny how many people go right at a green instead of giving it a couple seconds to see and how many people swerve I understand you want to but you risk hurting someone else just trying to protect yourself, just stay your ground with it
You mean look left and right before you go? I mean, if I am first in line I usually do that. Red light runners are actually pretty rare around here, but still happens, so seems like a good idea to be on the lookout for idiots "trying to beat the light."
4:57 wasnt a brake check. Driver of the truck panicked when the other semi was started moving over for the semi that was stopped in the breakdown lane. Simple case of situational awareness and the blame could be placed on the cammer for following to close. He knew well enough ahead of time that the yellow truck was going slower than him.
Looked totally on purpose and that did look like a brake check or the slowed down way too much with a semi that was already in the left lane but the cammer hit him because he got mad the had slowed down so much. When 2 idiots meet.
Agree with you that it wasn't a brake check and your reason why. But I don't think the cammer is to blame for following too close. Cammer kept plenty of distance between him and the truck in front. The yellow truck moved into cammer's lane with barely enough space (for a tractor trailer), then immediately and unexpectedly braked. Due to the slight curve of the road, Cammer had no way to see the truck in the breakdown lane. So had no reason to anticipate the yellow truck would suddenly brake to allow the truck in front of him to change lanes. 99.9% of the time a vehicle moves into the left lane like this, it's to pass the slower truck in front of him. The last thing you would expect is for him to change into the left lane, then slow down to let the truck he was presumably trying to pass, to also change to the left lane. The yellow truck was also going only slightly slower than cammer initially, so there was no reason for him to prepare to brake heavily. Cammer took less than 2 sec to begin braking after the yellow truck began braking. Which in light of the distance and assumption it was changing lanes to pass, I think is a reasonable reaction time. Just one of those bad situations which develops suddenly where there really isn't a good escape route for anyone. It's hard to even fault the yellow truck driver for changing to the left lane when he did since the space he left cammer, while marginal, is about what's commonly given if you're doing it with the intent to immediately speed up and pass. But ultimately I'd blame him because his reaction when the cammer blew his horn suggests he had no idea cammer was there (i.e. he changed lanes without checking his mirror).
The rental truck jumped over with less than a full semi length and then braked... yep, they're *going* to get hit because unless the driver wants to wreck their rig it takes twice that distance to slow appreciably and controllably. Rental stole the semi's braking distance, simply put, and paid the price. And then they cut off the Swift truck and almost got hit a **second** time.
Watching these compilations always leaves me in disbelief! It's alarming to see how some drivers behave on the road. Let's all remember to drive responsibly and prioritize safety
@14:26 looks like you were sticking out way more than you should have. Those UHAUL trucks don't have a great turn radius even if they aren't loaded. Next time just back up some if possible
I agree. A good truck driver can easily get that close safely. Many of the U-Hauls are rented by companies that need an extra truck for a day. So, some U-Hauls you see on the road are being driven by professionals. 2 trucks in a row both driving like that make me think that might have been the case, here.
2:50 You claiming freezing up from anxiety is total bs. If you're Frozen with anxiety how did you take your foot off the brake and put it on the gas? Secondly, you just admitted that you're a danger to the people around you. Don't drive, that's it, stop driving. There's a threat on the road and it's you.
4:02 This is the EXACT exit I take off of I-15 to get to work every morning. People driving diagonally off of the freeway to get to the exit last-minute is a daily occurrence.
2:40 Very interesting excuse for: I just went when everybody around me did, even though I was on my phone. Don't claim it's an "anxiety attack" if you're simply not paying attention.
That guy said “If you’ve enjoyed this video” not once but twice in the middle of this video. Unusual; usually happens at the beginnings & ends of each MDS video.
0:55 I'm really sick and tired of hearing about truckers blind spots. They have anywhere between 3 and 7 mirrors on each side of the truck, some with Windows in the lower part of the door. Truckers do not use all their mirrors they only use the easy ones which is why they cause these types of crashes. Yes I have driven a semi which is why I know how the mirrors work and the little window door.
It's funny reading the text at 4:10 from the people from Utah with the Chevy Silverado cutting across the lanes to make the exit. The mormons dont dare say "idiot" 😂😂😂
Always aim for the quarter panel if you have no way of avoiding the crash. If the car is 5 to 7 years old insurance will refuse to fix it and their car will be totaled. I have lost to very good older cars because of this, one was parked and the other I was stopped at a light and hit from behind. No matter what I did the insurance told me no.
I've been writing car insurance policies since 2007: Theres a several reasons why ins. companies don't want to fix older cars - or why they'd rather total the car. Whenever they pay a body shop, that shop is a defacto agent if you will - of the insurance company. If they perform a faulty repair & that repair plays a role in a future accident...see where I'm going w/this? Anyway that's one reason. Another is fixing older cars more or less takes longer than fixing newer cars. (generally speaking) and whenever a claim takes longer (per research done by Progressive in the 1980s & 1990's) the potential for litigation increases. Avoiding lawsuits saves money even if it means totaling out the car that could be fixed. A lot of companies out there have flex on this issue depending on the damage of course and in lieu of the currently crazy car market. Totaling the car does drive a small cottage industry for the insurance companies as well as wrecking/tow yards they work closely with (coughs) _AAA_ (coughs) ... won't get into it but let's just say some demand for used parts ... is artificially driven. Anyway sorry to ramble on but it's late, I'm tired and burned out. If you go into the insurance business...don't do it more than 10 years. It sux.
@@kettle_of_chris I have a friend that owns a body shop and after he took one look at both of the cars we lost. He told us they will never OK the repairs no matter how low the millage is. Both of them ended up at Co parts.
@@largelarry2126 Doesn't surprise me. I was trying to imply exceptions have been made & as these carriers will tell you "every claim is different" but yeah what you're saying is more routine than what most people would think. Repairing cars involved in accidents is risky and in the last 8 years or so - rather expensive too. So much so that the gap between repairing to factory standards and just replacing the car, is not as wide as it used to be. Especially considering the fact that they can make up some of that money on the back end w/the old car they "totaled out". So it's been more of a common practice than it used to be. Besides replacing the car (with a new car) which is almost zero risk and Insurance companies are all about two things: Minimizing Risk and Making Money. BTW I am not speaking about specialty insurance such as Hagerty, or Motorcycle Insurance. I can write both, but it represents a very small % of my business so my experience on the claims side of those categories is practically zip. Except to say that it seems like they make more of an effort to repair motorcycles _if they can be repaired_ than they do with cars but like I said my experience w/Specialty Insurance claims or Motorcycle claims is extrememly limited.

⚠️Trigger warning⚠️ Brutal and Fatal accident at 9:12 (was not expecting to see such a tragic accident such as this, kinda hard to watch ngl)

Oh, and they set his bail at 200k so it was probably posted and he's back out there on the road now since it'll take two years for his trial to make it through the backlog.

#9 - 1:49 - Wow! Double Cammer video on the same incident! I also love that the red truck has the spatial awareness to completely avoid the white Miata. Bravo!
Didn’t realise until watching the channel that owning a dashcam meant you could actually cause accidents 😂😂
Well of course. The dashcam waives you of all responsibility for the accident. Remember: if it won't technically be your fault and you're recording it, always just let it happen to get that sweet, sweet victim status.
Anxiety attack is code word for texting and driving and not taking responsibility for your actions. Humans experience episodes of depression, anxiety, and panic often yet here's a huge group of people that think they are some cute diagnoses to have and brag about. Smh.
If it was actually an anxiety attack, they clearly should not have been driving since they were impaired.
Definitely just a lame excuse for not paying attention. Lfmaoo glad I’m not the only one who thought that
Anxiety attack or not, the cam guy should have payed attention and not hit the lady. This guy needs to take responsibility fir his crappy driving as well.

2:36 That's a bunch of b.s. An anxiety attack doesn't make you change from braking to hitting the accelerator pedal. And you clearly didn't "freeze up" because you transitioned from braking to accelerating.

2:36 #11 Jackie, that’s what happens when you just don’t pay attention…… 😆😆😆
4:12 next time dont swerve just hit the brakes. Now you are at fault as you hit the other car when changing lanes.

Pretty sure the insurance company is going to cite him because he did nothing to even TRY to avoid the accident.
I love how a lot of people are trashing the cammer too in the comments.

2:42 Funny, that's also the exact thing that happens when you're looking at your phone and think traffic started to move.
2:36 seriously? If you have random anxiety attacks so severe that you “freeze up”, STOP DRIVING! And you drove into them, so how did that happen?
Can't tell for sure, but did the first cammer run the red light? Barely even slow down?
He definitely ran it.
1:20. Lol you had time to brake though😂
He spent that time staying on the gas and accelerating into him 😂
2:29 John Goodman is that you?
5:12 That was so useful to honk after you hit him. 🤦♂
7: do you own brakes.
2:03 Idiots and wet roads are never a good mix.

@@danstephens9500 Plus, they WILL put anyone in one of those trucks. That is U-Haul's entire business model!

You claiming freezing up from anxiety is total bs.

I'm really sick and tired of hearing about truckers blind spots.
14:20, well basically every single person with a Class C-DL and up can rent these trucks. So, yeah, anyone...
Besides replacing the car (with a new car) which is almost zero risk and Insurance companies are all about two things:
Minimizing Risk and Making Money.
It amazes me how many people will do something stupid then get indignant and act like they are the aggrieved party.
It's teh murikan way. lol
