First clip: Why do a lot of drivers making lane changes seem to assume their lane change has no part in the cause of the accident or 'near accident'? In this case, the cammer was making a lane change from the #2 to #3 lane JUST as the silver Camry was making a right turn, the driver ASSUMING the #3 lane was clear. The cammer should have been alert to this possibility and delayed making her lane change until there were no POTENTIAL hazards.
While I agree, it's still not safe to assume you're safe pulling out when the adjacent traffic is in another lane. It's like pulling out when a car to their left has their turn signal on. Just because they do, doesn't mean they're going to turn. Granted, they're the idiot, but unfortunately you'll still be found at fault. Just gotta be apprehensive for idiots like that

@2:37, is it just me or does it seem like most of the dash cam types keep on going, hit the horn and then finally think about hitting the brakes (not breaks, btw!). They never anticipate something not going as designed. "I got you on dash cam!"
0:06 she sees car turning off and no car in the closest lane behind them, decides to merge (correct), 0:07 she goes turning in never looking left again (wrong). well to be honest, they prolly saw that lane was clear when they looked, and didn't see cammer dart over 3 lanes like that, but it is their responsibility to make sure it's clear before turning..

#8 @ 2:42 That truck did not nearly hit you, "wide-angle lense" or not. First, while the truck was in the wrong to pull out when not clear, they started pulling out long before you got there and you didn't even try to slow down until you got to the truck. There's no way you couldn't see them trying to pull out from way back and stop in time to let them out, even though they're in the wrong for it. You just wanted to prove a point.
I don’t think the semi was in the wrong and he was stopped. The cammer just didn’t want to slow down and be a decent human being to let the man get on with his job! He proved that point loud and clear!
The truck also didn't "run his stopsign" at all. He was completely stopped before pulling out. This guy just didn't want to have to slow down or be considerate at all.
For those not familiar with that road, the speed limit is 55mph. Coming around a curb going the speed limit and being greeted by a semi who had a stop sign has nothing to do with proving a point or not wanting to slow down. As stated in my description, I have Thinkware F20 Dashcams in both of my vehicles and the wide angle lense absolutely distorts the distance on camera.
#5 @ 1:26 Traffic didn't "stop suddenly", you weren't paying attention and had to slam on your brakes when you noticed last-minute that traffic stopped in front of you. Granted, whoever was behind you shouldn't be following so close that they don't have enough time to react/stop in an emergency, but you contributed to this by not paying attention and then having to slam on brakes.
Yep, that is a pretty common theme. Even if the typical cammer car is paying attention, braking hardish early then letting the car roll warns other drivers of a stoppage. Be considerate and the car you save might just be yours.
Very first video... 1) You didn't hit her, we can confirm that on the video. 2) If you HAD hit her, you would have been partially responsible for failing to slow down at ALL until the absolute last possible second, in fact you actually sped up as she was pulling out while the horn was going off, we can see your MPH at the bottom of your screen.
If drivers paid more attention to their own driving and surroundings there would be a lot less problems in their life. Also using the brakes instead of the horn is much more helpful in that situation.
1st clip Cammers at fault here when the car pulled out you are all the way in the left lane merging all the way over to the right lane so technically it's your fault for this one glad no contact
1st clip lady changes over 2 lanes in too short of time. The car stopped, and did not see anyone in that lame after the car that was turning. How dare they write that "the teenager didnt even look? Cammer speed has nothing to do with it, but she again takes credit saying Good thing I was going 10 miles under. Big deal. She also was gaining speed the whole time. I wish someone would edit the comments for new drivers to see the reality of defensive driving. A young driver said her instructor told her that friving is 10 percent watching what youre doing, and 90 percent watching what every body else is TRYING to do.
Nope. Her first lane change was perfect. Second one was arguably premature, but she was halfway into the #3 lane when the other car started to pull out. When pulling into traffic, ALWAYS check continuously. Don't look just once then go.
@@mattX5 true, but it's also not a bad idea to slow down to 60ish and get into the right lane, especially since the right lane ain't doing 70 haulf the time anyway
Yeah fr. If you don't HAVE to go 70 when the rain that extreme then don't I can agree to this even as someone who doesn't like right lane campers going 10 under
@@bobbailey8282 Here in canada that’s incredibly normal. I was driving home from work the other day on the 400 (our main highway) and going about 115 km/h (72 mph) in moderately heavy rain. I was getting passed by about 50% of cars on the highway, including semi trucks.
016 - "What are you doing?" Well, at the time the cammer changed lanes is probably when the other driver turned back from looking to see if it was clear to turn on the street! See, people do look! But then another second passes when they look back straight ahead. And that is when timing sucks. Perhaps, for defensive driving purposes, don't change lanes into a lane someone is preparing to turn into! It isn't about what's legally right or wrong, it's about what is safe!
I was thinking the same thing. Technically the cammer doesn't look like she broke any laws. However, that is far from saying she did nothing wrong. Personally, I think she could learn to drive better. And hopefully the teenager learned something also. That you can't always trust others on the road to do what makes sense. Whenever I'm driving I always ask myself what I would do if I was an idiot and driving that other car. In this case I would have assumed they would probably do exactly what the cammer did.
@@101perspective if your gonna be paranoid that everyone is an idiot, your best bet is to not drive. yes, poop happens, but you have to have a certain amount of trust in the system or why drive?
4:30 - Am I missing something here? Or did we just watch a (checks notes) completely routine traffic stop? I kept thinking something else has gotta happen, but nope
Justifying a minor inconvenience with "Wide angle lens makes it look like blah blah blah..." never fails to make me laugh and roll my eyes at the cammer
3:52 "Clideo"? Did they go to a marketing school, pick the worst student, and ask them to come up with the worst possible name they could think of? Imagine a teenage girl coming home one day: "Mom! Dad! Guess what? My boyfriend gave me Clideo for my birthday today!"
2:45 Cross the bridge, turn into the fairgrounds and take a few laps at Fonda Speedway if you like seeing how close you can come to hitting another vehicle without making contact.
#1 The easy way to avoid that problem is to not change lanes right before the intersection. A driver like that might take a look your way and see you in the left or middle lane, then they start to pull out and now you're in the right lane.
2:56 you got to consider they are in such massive vehicles that it takes a long time to get moving. Sometimes because of the way they are turning its hard to see out the passenger window and see these cars coming because your not only looking past the passenger seat but out the window and its like .... a bit harder to see small vehicles. At times its impossible to see and some trucks have to creeep out a bit and see if it is clear. I have seen some tricky intersections and i dont blame the truckers. I blame the fact semis are so big and cars are puny compared to them. But sometimes i have seen a truck lock eyes with our car... AND STILL PULL OUT AS IF WE DONT EXIST. it sucks but try to yield to trucks so they dont run over you.
I am aware, It was sarcasm. The rubber smelled awful. I thought all new cars came standard with ABS, and if it did. Why one of the most reliable newer cars locked up
that's why you shouldn't trust blinkers and wait until the road is clear. Changing lanes at intersections isn't illegal, and that wasn't even an intersection.
don't trust blinkers like Bill says. But unlike what Bill says, in my state it is illegal to change lanes at or in an intersection. Agree this wasn't an intersection, but the lady in clip 1 was driving aggressively, and accuses the teenager of not looking. I believe teenager did look, and waited a split second to see that the car turning actually did turn, and then they proceeded with their right turn.
@@BobbyDuwitz its explicitly illegal to change lanes in an intersection in florida and ohio. its shitty, dangerous driving and should be illegal everywhere. the cammer could have still been cited for an unsafe lane change, regardless of state.
do people only look at the car directly in front of them? the guy in front of me wasn't paying attention but I had to swerve into the shoulder....well if you were paying attention you would've seen the traffic ahead slowing and adjusted accordingly but you needed the cue from the brakes on the car directly in front of you....no just pay BETTER attention. Also if it's a known crappy junction shouldn't braking be expected there?
Although I agree that looking only at the vehicle directly in front of you is a bad idea, unfortunately most vehicles these days are too big to see anything beyond them. I always try to get out of such a spot, but is not easy, considering most time the traffic is horribly congested.
can we PLEASE stop assuming every side of an intersection has stop signs? if you see a car closely approaching, WAIT until it either stops or passes. it’s better to spare a few seconds than expecting a car with no stop sign to yield to you. when in doubt, just wait.
4:07 If that idiot keeps revving his engine like that on startup, he's going to need an engine rebuild in the near future. When starting an engine, do NOT rev it up. Let it idle until the oil pressure rises.
0:10 Barely started the clip and already am annoyed. You seem to find all the fault with the teenager, but don't you see any flaws in your driving, really? You think you handled that situation properly. Man, it's always everybody else's fault.
Stop!! Just stop explaining every vid...................it's annoying. It's a vid. We can see what's happening. We don't care how much damage there was or if someone didn't have insurance or who was at fault.
again so many drivers don't know how to drive defensively. ANTICIPATE when you see someone about to pull out expect them to pull in front of you and mentally prepare. don't just keep going forward and brake at the last second and get all pissy that they made you slow down. i'm always scanning the road and thinking "what could this car do or that car do?" and prepare, i always expect the worst
1. You have yourself to blame. You are in the middle lane and just before the intersection switch to the right lane with your blinkers on. At that moment, the driver at the intersection sees it and thinks, you should turn right and of course drive out. Never send duplicate messages in traffic. By the way, you were never in contact with her car.🤷♂🤦♂🤨

But even if you're a first responder, it's best not to pull over in an area with such poor visibility due to the weather if you're not in an emergency vehicle. A fire truck or ambo with bright flashy lights is much more visible in heavy rain than a personal vehicle with just hazards. If drivers paid more attention to their own driving and surroundings there would be a lot less problems in their life. Also using the brakes instead of the horn is much more helpful in that situation.
Idiot cammer also changed multiple lanes at once and doesn’t think it had anything to do with it
1st clip Cammers at fault here when the car pulled out you are all the way in the left lane merging all the way over to the right lane so technically it's your fault for this one glad no contact
Yup
Fr ☕️
1st clip lady changes over 2 lanes in too short of time. The car stopped, and did not see anyone in that lame after the car that was turning. How dare they write that "the teenager didnt even look? Cammer speed has nothing to do with it, but she again takes credit saying Good thing I was going 10 miles under. Big deal. She also was gaining speed the whole time. I wish someone would edit the comments for new drivers to see the reality of defensive driving. A young driver said her instructor told her that friving is 10 percent watching what youre doing, and 90 percent watching what every body else is TRYING to do.
And there's no way she hit the teenager... there was no point of impact anywhere on that video.
Nope. Her first lane change was perfect. Second one was arguably premature, but she was halfway into the #3 lane when the other car started to pull out. When pulling into traffic, ALWAYS check continuously. Don't look just once then go.
5:19 Friendly advice, don't go 70MPH in that kind of weather, especially if you have anyone in front or behind you
Nothing wrong with doing 70 in that weather if you know how to control a car and have decent tires.
@@mattX5 true, but it's also not a bad idea to slow down to 60ish and get into the right lane, especially since the right lane ain't doing 70 haulf the time anyway
Yeah fr. If you don't HAVE to go 70 when the rain that extreme then don't I can agree to this even as someone who doesn't like right lane campers going 10 under
@@mattX5 WRONG!
@@bobbailey8282 Here in canada that’s incredibly normal. I was driving home from work the other day on the 400 (our main highway) and going about 115 km/h (72 mph) in moderately heavy rain. I was getting passed by about 50% of cars on the highway, including semi trucks.
016 - "What are you doing?"
Well, at the time the cammer changed lanes is probably when the other driver turned back from looking to see if it was clear to turn on the street!
See, people do look! But then another second passes when they look back straight ahead.
And that is when timing sucks.
Perhaps, for defensive driving purposes, don't change lanes into a lane someone is preparing to turn into!
It isn't about what's legally right or wrong, it's about what is safe!
Let's get mad at the other driver when we are switching three lanes at once, just before the intersection.
Which is precisely why you should only make that turn when ALL lanes are clear.
Yep, this is why you always yield to all lanes of traffic
@@101perspective if your gonna be paranoid that everyone is an idiot, your best bet is to not drive. yes, poop happens, but you have to have a certain amount of trust in the system or why drive?
The first cammer need to think twice before moving multiple lanes
4:30 - Am I missing something here? Or did we just watch a (checks notes) completely routine traffic stop? I kept thinking something else has gotta happen, but nope
0:12 there was no impact. She’s so dramatic.
Justifying a minor inconvenience with "Wide angle lens makes it look like blah blah blah..." never fails to make me laugh and roll my eyes at the cammer
1:20 if he locked up the brakes his ABS wasn't performing too great.
But isn't that the type of car everybody praises as the most reliable? It never breaks, they say, only the minor things like brakes....
That was pure sarcasm
3:52 "Clideo"? Did they go to a marketing school, pick the worst student, and ask them to come up with the worst possible name they could think of? Imagine a teenage girl coming home one day: "Mom! Dad! Guess what? My boyfriend gave me Clideo for my birthday today!"
Or the teenage girl saying to her boyfriend "want to see my Clideo?"
I think they make a cream for that.
2:45 Cross the bridge, turn into the fairgrounds and take a few laps at Fonda Speedway if you like seeing how close you can come to hitting another vehicle without making contact.
4:45 The caption made the clip seem more exciting than it actually was.
0:01 She laid on the horn before even breaking and why she made that unnecessary lane change in the first place keeping straight lmao and SMH
Braking!
...not to mention speeding up by 10 mph while moving from the middle lane to the right lane...
#4 the “A” in ABS is “Anti-lock” and those streaks left behind signify the other driver locked the brakes completely.
If the vehicle truly has ABS, the streaks will form an A.
His ABS dash light has probably been on for 8 months.
Not to mention the smoke and smell of burned rubber.
That's a Corolla ABS.
I am aware, It was sarcasm. The rubber smelled awful. I thought all new cars came standard with ABS, and if it did. Why one of the most reliable newer cars locked up
0:05 This is why you don't change lanes right before or in intersections.
Teenager looked but you were indicating right and thought you were turning.
that's why you shouldn't trust blinkers and wait until the road is clear.
@@wam0357 please cite the law from your state.
@@BobbyDuwitz idiot cammer also changed two lanes at one time, also illegal
Yes, they only look a short distance. That's why they pull out in front of you when there's no one behind you for a mile.
I love "The person in front of me didn't leave me enough room to brake."
Although I agree that looking only at the vehicle directly in front of you is a bad idea, unfortunately most vehicles these days are too big to see anything beyond them. I always try to get out of such a spot, but is not easy, considering most time the traffic is horribly congested.
@@bills6093 OK but the merging in front of you rather than behind move, that's due to the "I'm better than you" attitude.
At least he got to see the Masaratti up close
1:43 $4,700 and not totalled? I'm shocked!!!!!
can we PLEASE stop assuming every side of an intersection has stop signs? if you see a car closely approaching, WAIT until it either stops or passes. it’s better to spare a few seconds than expecting a car with no stop sign to yield to you. when in doubt, just wait.
Always amazes me how these pricks see the others messed up yet, carrys on towards them at full speed just to sit on their horn and look concieted.
How did they make contact in the first one? I’ve rewatched it several times and they don’t seem to touch.
about 4:30 that is a trailblazer not a suburban
4:07 If that idiot keeps revving his engine like that on startup, he's going to need an engine rebuild in the near future.
When starting an engine, do NOT rev it up. Let it idle until the oil pressure rises.
Judging by the front end damage and the careless manner of backing up, the body will probably be destroyed before the engine.
That guy has bigger problems. More if them now.
0:01, sees car turn in front of her, lays on the horn and ACCELERATES, then brakes at the last second... why...?
#15 If your "safety is paramount", why are you driving 70mph in the rain?
In the first clip it’s completely obvious that the cammer never hit the silver Camry. It was definitely a close call, but nothing more.
3:18 - 5am in the morning? As opposed to 5am in the evening?
My wife says it that way, too. Drives me nuts!
The honk before you brake mentality amazes me.
At the first video ummm what lmao You need your eyes checked you didn't hit her or does the camera make it look closer then it appears 😂😂😂😂😂😂
@Belinda straight facts 😂😂😂😂
2:39 how much time do you need to brake muppet
IT TOOK HIM SO LONG THOUGH LIKE.. Why drive if the cammer is gonna be that dangerous about stopping?
0:10 Barely started the clip and already am annoyed. You seem to find all the fault with the teenager, but don't you see any flaws in your driving, really? You think you handled that situation properly. Man, it's always everybody else's fault.
4:46 it's like we started reading a book halfway through. 🤣🤣🤣
My brain hurt trying to read that. Not your comment, the one on the clip.
0:43 even the truck is grimacing about the accident.
That look of shock, poor truck
4:43 did we just watch a traffic stop? Riveting!!
First video is pretty clear that there's no contact.
Stop!! Just stop explaining every vid...................it's annoying. It's a vid. We can see what's happening. We don't care how much damage there was or if someone didn't have insurance or who was at fault.
right on
2:39 truck didnt run stop sign, sat there while a car turned left in front of it. shows how much you were paying attention
again so many drivers don't know how to drive defensively.
The first driver intentionally tried to ram the car pulling out and should be charged with a crime
You can literally see her standing on the brakes. If she was trying to ram she could have easily done it.
its amazing how many people got their licenses from Burger King LMAO. people cant drive
Why the hell would anyone care to see a random vehicle pulled over for... Something? Just because you got it on video doesn't mean it's suddenly interesting lol.
Clip 1 Exactly what are you doing cammer? Smash into them lol. Why have a camera.
0:11 I guess paint can transfer through the air then? Cammer is stupid driver feeling entitled but probably should have just not posted the video lol.
The first one had plenty of time to move over. In Georgia, if she would to have hit them, she would have been at fault. She had ample amount of time to brake or move over.
First person need to sell their car.... Honking is not nearly effective as changing lanes or ya know hitting the breaks when you see an obstacle in your way.
1:40 if that was $4700 of damage to that Kia Soul then I'm terrified to know what the damage to that Maserati amounted to.
The only thing expensive about a Maserati is underneath the hood, the Ferrari manufactured engine. Body work on one of these won’t cost any more then if it were a newer Camry, these cars depreciation like no other.
@@DylanJT99 lol, no. It'll get marked up at least 400% simply because it's a Maserati, even if it costs a body shop no more to fix it than it would cost to fix a Camry. Maserati's also use Chrysler buttons and switches in the interior but I can guarantee you a headlight switch for a Maserati Ghibli would cost twice as much as a headlight switch for a Chrysler 300 OEM purely because it's needed for a Maserati. If you order through the manufacturer, that is.
@@Lincolntowncoupe the body of a Maserati inside and out is basically a Stellantis (Chrysler) product but yeah in theory we all know that a name brand will cost unnecessarily high cost😂😂damn shame

0:01 you had so much time to move and or slow down and you purposely chose to be in the same lane on a 3 lane road and slam on your brakes. Didn't even try to avoid it.
7:15 Suicide deer.... Staying there and wait until a car arrives, just to run over the road in front of it....
@0:05 If you had started braking as soon as you saw the other car turning, instead of speeding up and not braking til almost impact (according to your dashcam speedo) and relaxed off the horn it would have been a non-incident. But you just had to be the baddest on the road, didn't you.
GPS speeds always lag by a few seconds. By the time it shows up, she'd already been braking.
@@spamlessaccount GPS speed lags indeed (fractions of second), but still provides valuable info.
For example, from the 34mph she sped up to 42mph just when she approached that intersection. She was on the horn well before the other car entered the intersection, and on the brake a fraction of a second later. So, her reflexes are good, just her judgement is lacking a lot.
@@danielv7340 It's not "fractions" of a second. We've seen numerous examples on this channel where the lag was obviously multiple seconds.

#8 ahhhh yes, semi doing what semi's do best..
5:00 I know you're getting kind of dumped on in the comments, but I don't blame you for not pulling over and calling 911 instead. I did the exact same thing in a very similar situation (ice and rain instead of rain). I nearly didn't miss the guy I saw wreck, and I was going pretty slow for the conditions. But even if you're a first responder, it's best not to pull over in an area with such poor visibility due to the weather if you're not in an emergency vehicle.
A fire truck or ambo with bright flashy lights is much more visible in heavy rain than a personal vehicle with just hazards.
Just next time you're in rain like that maybe lower your speed some and drive for the conditions. Even if you and your car can handle it, it's the other people you should watch out for.
