I've tried to submit a few times, even listing my channel for easier access and no luck lol. Got a few numbnuts including a wrong way driver as my last attempt
2:19 I didn't know there was any place in the U.S. where driving in the breakdown lane was legal. It's kind of like lane splitting by motorcycles: Legal some places, stupid everywhere.
They have them in Atlanta as well. But it's only at certain times and they're clearly signed with red and green lights indicating when they can be used.
Except lane splitting is safer than not lane splitting when the speed difference in comparison to other traffic is within the safe limit (about 25km/h on highways and about 15km/h in urban areas)
They're trying to introduce them here in the UK too, labelled as "smart lanes" (there's nothing at all "smart" about them). It's the DUMBEST idea ever - not only because more lanes doesn't do anything to solve traffic issues, but because all our lives we have been trained to understand that you DON'T drive in the hard shoulder cos it's essentially the BREAKDOWN LANE ... and then they go and say "no ignore all that, you can drive in it". That video is the perfect proof of what will happen CONSTANTLY. It's just going to end in more crashes and more unnecessary deaths. There needs to be a safe place for people to pull over and they're trying to take it away. STUPID.
I dated someone from Brockton, MA. All around the most ignorant and stupidly aggressive people I have ever met. Never want to go back to Boston or the state 😂 Even made me stop being a Pats fan 🤣
#11 4:17 Yes, she shouldn't have cut you off like that, but I think what she was surprised about was running into a driver who had cheaped out and didn't get the brake option installed.
But when you leave that "proper following distance", people see that as an opening and jump in front of you, and your pfd is gone. Then you have to hang back to create that again, someone jumps in front of you again, and the cycle continues.
@@randibgoodI used to hate this but you have to just accept the fact that people will fly around you regardless of what you do, and you’ll have a much better time. When someone gets rid of the space, I just take my foot off the gas, which usually causes whoever is behind me to go around me too, creating space in front of AND behind me.
Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but if the descption of that crash was from the cammer, the typo reading "$100" instead of "100%" might be a freudian slip.
@@itsTigereyeIt’s just appalling how the car was right infront of the cammer and they still managed to hit them, Doesn’t look like any brakes were applied.
7:30 No, the driver is an idiot. Anyone who gets on the freeway and immediately changes lanes continuously until they get into the left lane is an idiot. There is no situation where this is safe or legal. Even in those odd times when no one is on the freeway, change lanes one at a time. These are the same people that camp in the left lane when not passing.
I agree with all you’ve said. However there were 2 idiots at work. Look at the white car in front of the red truck. He forces the red truck over an extra lane. Then the white car moves over to the left. White car is total idiot as well.
@@Wild-Eyeno the Tesla was turning as well and he was trying to speed around someone else who was already proceeding to turn. It’s like people forget that brakes exist.. not that hard to slow down a few mph to no hit anyone
I love when people put their signal on after they have already merged into another lane/turn lane. Why do people not understand how and when to use signals?!
The crazy thing about the “breakdown lane clip is the claim the camper did nothing wrong. Sure they were a good distance and was able to stop but given all of that they should’ve been able to…idk…get over and not have to slam in the brakes in the first place? They had more than enough to time to assess the car ahead of them was braking and to slow down themselves but for some odd ass reason waited until the car ahead swerved to miss the stopped cars AND THEN BRAKE instead of trying to avoid the accident all together. They have the awareness of a damn potato
7:45 I had the same type of accident a couple of years ago (car swerving from another lane hit me) in that exact same spot on I-285 in Doraville. And in a car I had only had for 3 weeks. The woman lied and the cop couldn't tell who was at fault until I showed him my dashcam video.
4:18 - Another perfect example of someone who could have avoided an accident if they weren't such an idiot. Did the guy cut you off? Yes. Did you have to do 4000 damage to your car? No! Kills me every time!
1:10 that was definitely you, I understand slowing down but you completely came to a damn near full stop on the highway. And the left lane after that car pass was empty for a while too.
18:15 Are you sure??????? Seems like you not using your brakes in time at least contributed to wreck if not 100% caused. Pay attention to the cars in front of you when driving.
17:23 Honda Link Services has detected a crash will call emergency services after countdown. Nobody answered. Please stay on line for a short 10 second survey on your satisfaction with today's interaction.
15:30 Hard to believe they didn't assign some responsibility to you for that wreck, a snail would have had better reaction time than you did, some might say you intentionally hit her.
#55 - Sorry, cammer, you were turning left which means even if the car across the way arrived later and you were both stopped, you must yield unless they are also turning left.
really enjoyed the video, the editing was top-notch and the compilation was well put together. but honestly, i think these crash compilations are a bit glorifying reckless driving. it’s important to remember the consequences and not just focus on the thrill of the crashes. what do you all think?
I feel like the breakdown lane should have a speed limit and be for when the other lanes are absolutely packed but that's just me. And what happens if an ambulance needs to get by and all the shoulder lanes have backed up traffic? Very strange. In England some motorways don't have a continuous shoulder like in the US interstate but they have occasional pull off points protected by barriers with an emergency phone
#18. SLOW DOWN when going thru a green light, continue to look both ways for red light runners, stay back 2 car lengths, and cover your brake with your foot..I've almost got t-boned by a red light runner who was not paying attention but I was and swerved and didn't get hit. If you're flying, you can slow down or stop in time. Always count 5-4-3-2-1 when u get a green so if red light runner is flying you won't hit em.

If I saw it right, it looked like the car two cars in front in her lane brake checked the car in front of her, as there was a large gap before it. Everyone was following too closely and few escape paths. The brake checker was unscathed, of course.
#74 @28:04 - no one, cammer included, should let another driver hit you in a double-turn like this - always be prepared for the other driver to cross over, never drive next to someone in a turn; this accident is very easy to avoid (you should try dual-lane roundabouts - same issue).
10:118 I don't know what you were paying attention to but it was the road/traffic in front of you. You got very lucky, get goofing around and pay attention when you drive.
18:16 “I didn’t stop on time & rear ended the person in front of me. I then try to blame the truck for my own inattentiveness.” Fixed it. 20:42 that’s not how unprotected left turns work, cammer.

At time stamp 5:59 the car passing the light wasn't speeding. It stopped quickly with ease. The left turning car is at fault as it turned into traffic.
Does anyone think 12 was odd, truck had turn signal and you’d think the truck on the inside would know that the one on the outside was doing a wide turn or am I just slow?
2:08 "Driver did everything right and left enough space" - well, yeah, but the brake lights on the vehicle in front of you come on early and for full 3 seconds since then, I don't see any deceleration on your part. The entire scene keeps moving at the same speed until the vehicle in front swerves left and the broke down vehicle comes into view, that's when you slam the brakes to the point that your tires lock up (the screeching sound). Should have begun slowing down 3 seconds prior to that. That would have given the vehicle behind you a longer heads-up as well.
I don't understand why they total cars because the frame is bent. Franes can be straightened ! Now if its a unibody thats more difficult. So which is it... Frame or unibody...
3:42 And you could have avoided dealing with insurance, body shop, getting rides, and a diminished value of your car, by simply paying attention. There was literally zero reason to be looking in your side mirror. 5:49 The car that was hit was not speeding. Unless, of course, the speed limit is 12 mph. It was completely stopped, or very close to it, when it was hit.
6:35 How do you stay straight when ACTIVELY being sideswiped out of your lane, then somehow successfully make the corner but be unable to stop for another half a block???? 8:22 - To the people who think the cammer is at fault: Remember, the idiot in front of them turned way too far into the shoulder lane, which means they need to automatically yield to traffic that is heading in their direction, regardless of whether or not their intentions were to get in the shoulder lane. Yes, the cammer could have done more to prevent the accident, but in all, the car in front is at fault for failing to yield.
20:40 the only reason the other party is the one in trouble is because by giving a fals ename they etchnically tried to do a hit and run and were dodging you
Also, for causing the accident. Its a two lane highway. They are legally supposed to turn into the lane closest to them, while the cammer can turn into the lane the semi is in

22:25 the OP is sees the idiot merging from the right and decides to honk but why no brake?
Its not his fault but he could have easily avoided it
8:22 - To the people who think the cammer is at fault: Remember, the idiot in front of them turned way too far into the shoulder lane, which means they need to automatically yield to traffic that is heading in their direction, regardless of whether or not their intentions were to get in the shoulder lane. Yes, the cammer could have done more to prevent the accident, but in all, the car in front is at fault for failing to yield.
13:17 'little scratch' the window was broken and the car was destroyed wym little
crazy
26:16 Stoner did his best to flip it.
so scary 1:05
20:40 the only reason the other party is the one in trouble is because by giving a fals ename they etchnically tried to do a hit and run and were dodging you
Also, for causing the accident. Its a two lane highway. They are legally supposed to turn into the lane closest to them, while the cammer can turn into the lane the semi is in
