This isn't news. They've been reducing things for a while and in the pre-production stage content is always on a chopping block. This is just an official quote by Iger saying it, rather than someone else in the company telling people what all Hollywood already does, especially The MCU, as they look so far ahead. All the things that you suspect being cut aren't going to be a surprise or too worrisome if they aren't even in production yet, and have probably been on the chopping block without fans knowledge for a while. Example: They already changed the title of _Spiderman: Freshman Year_ to _Friendly Neighborhood Spiderman_ making me assume there wouldn't be a _Sophomore Year,_ as that change happened after they said they were reducing content. There's a reason why the higher up want to know the success of something before they greenlight a number two. Example #2 I always though She-Hulk 2 was a rumor from bad sources and never expected it to make it past the chopping block if it was a real thing. This is just Iger confirming (rather than someone else in the company, as tated above) that Chapek's idea of quantity over quality is in effect, but since they look so far ahead results won't happen instantaneously.
@@Buffy8FanCompletely agreed...it's not new news, per se. But with Iger publicly discussing it, that's what peaked fan's interest. And since I've neve done a vid looking at what might get cut and have instead collected every idea I've heard on the potential slate, it seemed like a good time to take a guess at what may never see the light of day. I'm glad Marvel is cutting back content and focusing on their core characters and storylines. Very smart move!
Looking at the interview that you quoted, I think that the key word here is "focus". Phases 4 and 5 have expanded the MCU in many different directions, introduced a ton of new characters and plotlines and, generally speaking, did a lot of stuff in a relatively short time. I know that for us superfans the more the better, but for a general audience, yeah, I can see how all of this mess can start to seem "unfocused". You have at least three main plotlines going on right now, all interwoven with each other, and it's not that easy to follow them, unless they painstakingly map it all out, read the timeline book or follow a channel like yours. So I think that the best way to approach this question would be to look at the future projects and ask ourselves whether or not they would make the MCU more or less focused. Therefore, as much as it pains me, anything that would introduce new characters (Sentry, Wonder Man, Ghost Rider, Silver Surfer, etc) are probably getting the ax. Anything that would bring us to unexplored parts of the MCU, like World War Hulk or maybe even Eternals 2, also are getting the ax (which I hate to say, because Hulk is my favourite Marvel character of all time and Eternals was, in my opinion, one of the best Marvel movies since Endgame). We're halfway through Phase 5 right now, and the climax of the Multiverse Saga is supposedly going to be at the end of Phase 6, so we're at the midpoint. It's probably time to start bringing everything together, refocus, cut the loose ends, and prepare ourselves for the great finale!
Well said! Yep, focus is the key word. They went very wide with characters in Phase 4, and now they need to pull back and go deep with their core characters instead. Excellent feedback!
I think anything that's been officially announced by Marvel or by the trades is safe from cancellation. The stuff being cancelled is stuff that we never heard about except from scoopers on Twitter.
Yep...we agree 100% on that. The only thing that is at risk is Witch's Road, but I think it may just be combined into Agatha's series as a new episode. So it isn't being cancelled, per se.
I really believe that now that Bob Iger is back he and Feige will bring back the best of the MCU ❤️ Fortunately it's not too late. They can and will recover from these bad years. Great video as always!
Yeah, I'm really hoping they're able to complete the show. The stuntman's death was tragic, so I'm sure that slowed things down as the cast and crew mourned his passing. But to honor him, they should finish the show and make it great!
Am I the only one that loves the concept of special presentations and is so sad to see Marvel stopping it?? Like I understand the need to shift focus on important stuff but I don't feel like the special presentations are a problem. A lot of shows would even a lot better if Marvel just turned them into special presentations instead, as they maybe don't need multiple episodes.
While I don't love the idea of cancelling projects,I do think it overall makes the most sense. If they really want to just get a clear focus on the future, this is the best way possible. However, they could always combine projects, like you suggested for some.
If they can't make world war hulk sequels movie, why not make like what if , It cost cheaper and universal and Disney may can have deal using animations
Some of the steelbooks say "the complete first season" instead of "the complete series" so it's possible that The Falcon and The Winter Soldier + Moon Knight are getting another season. I'd like to see that since I loved both shows. Also The Falcon and The Winter Soldier wouldn't make sense as a name since Sam is now Captain America and not The Falcon. I'd be cool if season 2 would have Sam mentoring Torres and helping him become the new Falcon. I hope they make more stuff like those shows. 😃
Yeah, I'm really hoping we get a Moon Knight season 2 and the steelbook stems to indicate that. On the flip side, however, I'm very surprised they would consider a FATWS second season. It seems like Falcon graduated to being Captain America and will stay in the movies now. That said, I'd be down for another season of the show, with a new name, ofc.
It sucks if we don't get as much content, but hopefully the quality goes up. I'm honestly fine with the stories we've gotten post-infinitysaga, but it hurts when there becomes problems with continuity🎃
I really hope you're right that Young Avengers isn't getting canceled. I'll never get over the box office bomb of The Marvels, which is my favorite MCU film. I'm so passionate about the way that Marvel Studios has rejuvenated their brand since WandaVision released. It's just deeply unfortunate that the general audience hasn't seemed to embrace this change nearly as much as me.
I was so bummed that The Marvels didn't do better. It was a very good movie and I'm still not sure what happened. But I just can't imagine them scrapping Young Avengers. Fingers crossed we get a show or movie announced soon!
Love to see another video about a location, like you did before with Evergreen Terrace. The town hall, Moe's, tut's, the church, Springfield elementary, your pick!
I agree...it's a smart move for Marvel to cut back and focus on the core characters and the main storyline. Bummer to see some of this stuff go, but it's the right call.
4:59 this is still happening and you know what from me hearing what the basic premise is I really like it because it’s going to be an origin story, but very different when it comes to who the character is the subject matter and the environment he is in
Yeah, generally speaking this is probably project I am more excited for just from hearing what the show is going to be now i’m a lot more excited for this than most of her projects. In fact, the more excited for this than the next Avengers movie because of the fact that we know more about this than the next Avengers movie and also I just like how it sounds more
I think the higher ups at Disney/Marvel are much more in touch with what the community are saying than a lot of people give them credit for. I think if we do see projects get cancelled then we will probably lose the obvious ones that have a lot of public hate, Iron Heart, She-Hulk S2 etc. I think Hollywood in general is starting to realise this attempt to capture the female audience with traditionally male properties just isn't work. I think with Disney losing money at the rate it is we may see an even greater scale-back, in which case I think they will focus on established characters they know do well, focus on bringing in characters with strong name recognition like the X-Men, Fantastic Four, Daredevil and Blade, and cut out stuff that focuses on niche characters like Echo or characters with weak public reception like Ms Marvel.
Great feedback...yes, I think Disney is paying very close attention to what fans are saying and I think we'll see less shows/movies about new characters and instead see a focus on the core characters in the MCU. It was an experiment in Phase 4 to go wide and add lots of new characters but now they need to go deep with the core characters they have.
Who says they are publicly hated. The fact is that Marvel is in a demographic death spiral. They have to reach out to other groups because their target demographics are dying. They need to reach out to minorities and women. Star Wars has succeeded in part. They introduced Rey and the box office stayed pretty stable. The trouble with Marvel is that very few know how to write for female characters and are even insulting to women. Jane Foster's role in the MCU is an example. In Dark World, she is treated like a piece of luggage. In Love and Thunder, her cancer is largely ignored. WandaVision is an intelligent story about Wanda's grief. Then we get MoM where she is written as a psycho over children she never had. WandaVision elevated Wanda from a supporting member to an A-lister. Elizabeth Olsen's performance in MoM gave the script more than it deserved. Women want character driven storylines which is something that Marvel is struggling at.
@@AbitofEverything4U I think you need to look at the writing. Captain America is a core character and Captain America 4 received poor test screenings. They are literally reshooting a new movie. Blade is struggling with script issues. The F4 has issues with writing as well. Wanda's story still could have some interesting twists to it. Can they come up with a decent script?
@@FrankWilliams-wi8zs their core audience is 25-44 year old men, I don't think they're quite dying off yet XD In fact if we look at the Marvels for example (written and directed by women btw), we see that a disproportionate amount of its audience were older men. Clearly the attempt to capture new audiences isn't working, and that's not just a problem with writing. In fact if we look at Star Wars, what we see is a pretty shocking 50% cut in box office take over the course of the trilogy, with Rise of Skywalker only taking half of what the Force Awakens did. In comparison, the Original Trilogy lost about 15% between a New Hope and Return of the Jedi, and that was at a time when sequels were far less normalised than they are today. The reality is that it is exceedingly difficult to capture an entirely different audience for a franchise, and neither Marvel nor Star Wars has succeeded in this. If you want to make content for the female market, maybe actually produce something they want to watch rather than trying to force male-focused franchises into a different market. It would be better for everybody.
i feel like with WonderMan having been pushed so far along -- filming was interrupted during the strike, and yet they hadn't officially announced it -- it's highly likely that the projects getting the axe are ones that we maybe haven't even heard of because they were still in early development. perhaps things like "a solo series for that one woman in the background of black panther. an animated series serving as a prequel for some characters you don't even remember. and, another series based on some inconsequential suit like with Clark Gregg and Agents of Shield.
I agree...I suspect we won't see anything cancelled that's pretty far into development. VisionQuest (or whatever it ends up being called) is a great example. I was worried about it, but it seems we'll still be getting it. So I suspect the only things being cancelled are some of the things that were just brainstormed and thrown on a wipeboard at the retreats, but never made it any further from there.
What if Nomad is set up for Secret Wars, where Steve Rogers is participating in Secret Wars after returning the stones. Considering that we don’t know how long he took after returning the Stones, he could have been on Battleworld, then went to the past afterwards. Just a theory though
When they announced Vision Quest, the speculation I saw was that it was originally going to be a storyline in Armor Wars back when it was a series; but once they converted it to a film, they broke off the Vision storyline. So I think it’s likely that they fold it back into Armor Wars
Also, not Marvel related, but since Iger mentioned Non-Marvel projects are also getting scrapped, i hope Frozen 3 and 4 are the first on the chopping block.
@AbitofEverything4U Yeah, personally, in hindsight, I think it would've been better if they did what they did with Tangled and Big Hero 6 and make a 2D animated series for the Disney Channel set after the first film. But of course, they didn't do that.
How did Steve get the space stone back into a Cosmic Cube? How did he grapple with the ethics of returning The Ether back into Jane foster? How awkward was the encounter when Steve showed up while The Red Skull was packing up his things, getting ready to finally be free from his captivity on Vormier? These are definitely questions that we need answered.
It's one thing seeing other companies cancel projects, but seeing Marvel cancel projects is kind of scary. PS: Ms Marvel season 2 is absolutely unnecessary. There's no way that show is getting a second season. There's really not much to explore about Kamala since the first season basically gave us everything already. It makes more sense for her story to continue through movies.
ikr? It's kinda scary to see so many of the ideas that had been tossed around for future Marvel projects instead ending up being cancelled. But I do agree on Ms. Marvel, season 2. There's just no need for that and her story can continue in other ways.
I hope season two of the marvels isn't cancelled it was my favorite disneyplus series as it taught me a lot about a different culture and kept as much from the original comic run as they could beside that Iman is Kamala Khan like she's basically like RDJ is to iron man
I think it's telling that Disney/Marvel are releasing The Falcon And The Winter Soldier BDs as "The Complete First Season" and not "The Complete Series", which seems like they might bring the series back for another series.
@@AbitofEverything4U Perhaps it'll be a vehicle to showcase the new Falcon after he appears in Captain America BNW? And any excuse to have Bucky return is a welcomed one.
Agreed...I think that by pushing things out of 2024 and into 2025 to get some breathing room, combined with dropping the overall quantity of movies/shows, I think they will find a sweet spot with everything that's left.
I just hope Young Avengers doesn't get the axe or gets turned into a Scarlet Witch movie that has the Young Avengers in it. Because i think it be such a missed opportunity to not give these character a chance on the big screen. They are currently the underdogs right now, both in-universe and outside of it, and i think they should get a chance to prove naysayers wrong. Not to mention in a world where every movie has to be and make a million or a billion dollars. Doing something as small scale as a YA movie would be a pretty ballsy and risky move. The question is what would it be abaout? Personally, id love to see either a plot that parallels Avengers 2012, or use NandovMovies pitch for the YA movie. Though, i imagine they'll probably just adapt Childrens Crusade or have a plot involving the Skrull/Kree conflict, so they can use it to bring in Hulkling. Or perhaps they'll make it about Incursions and saving Monica from the X universe or something, idk.
I agree 100%! I'm really excited to see a Young Avengers movie/show and so I'm truly hoping it doesn't get the ax. Your story suggestions for the Young Avengers are great!
I personally think Witches Road and Vision Quest could be reworked into the Rumored Scarlet Witch project. Same with the rumored Wiccan project. Also, I think Armor Wars could be reworked into a Midnight Sons movie. With War Machine as a member of the Midnight Sons. Also, I'm sorry, but Ghost Rider, Nomad, and Silver Surfer will more then likely be axed as well if they haven't been already.
@AbitofEverything4U another thing too that i forgot to mention in my initial comment, is that if they wanted to, they could have Doctor Strange 3 or Captain Marvel 3 get the Kang Dynasty tagline and wrap up and resolve the stuff with the Council of Kangs in one of those two films (just with a new actor for the Kangs). Probably won't do that, especially after the reception of both MOM and the Marvel's (which would be a real shame because i actually really like MOM and the Marvels), but still.
I don’t think they’ll cancel Ms. Marvel season two considering Marvel seem to love Iman Vellani, they made her the one of the main characters in Marvel Zombies, and Ms. Marvel had a 98% critics score on rotten tomatoes and an 80% audience score. They could also tie it in to Young Avengers
@@AbitofEverything4Uiman vellani has been assured by marvel she has a future in the mcu, so whether that be Young Avengers, Ms Marvel season 2 or an upcoming film, she is safe
I dont see anything officially announced getting cancelled. Also i think you're right about Witch's Road being part of Agatha, if the rumours are to be believed they were even filmed simultaneously too
I agree 100%...I don't see them cancelling the stuff that is officially out there. But most of the rumored stuff that never got "officially" greenlit is going to be scrapped.
I think it´s sad that some cool projekts get chopped, but I hope that helps to thin it out a bit so casual fans can get easier into the MCU and the quality can rise again a bit.
What you said is sensible. Do we REALLY need a Witches Road and Vision Quest? It’s better to fold them into other projects as you stated. But I NEED World War Hulk, Nova and Midnight Sons. I’ll riot if not
They should’ve structured phase 4-6 like phase 1,2,3. Having a solo film for each character come out each phase, like Shang cgi 1 phase 4, Shang chi 2 in phase 5, and 3 in phase 6, this way we don’t have to have a whole phase without seeing the character, and have ended the phases with team ups, avengers movies, because if it ain’t broke don’t fix it and the way the MCU went about its movies in phase 1-3 was perfect, each character got a complete movie each phase, capping off their trilogy at the tail end, I don’t think their a single character whose has their first film start it phase 4 and have a trilogy by end if 6, they truly fumbled things and I hope and really want them to get back on track
Yeah, that's a very good point. By creating so many new characters in Phase 4, it's made it really difficult bring them all back again in a timely fashion. I agree, hopefully by cutting back on the new stuff, it will let them fix that issue.
The character that needs a solo movie the most is Scarlet Witch. MoM created a mess in regards to Scarlet Witch. No one knows where she is and there is no one that would want to bring her back after the events of WandaVision and MoM. This strongly suggests that she will not appear in either Avengers 5 or Secret Wars. Given the fact that she is a popular character, that makes no sense. Little wonder why Marvel is broken.
Thunderbolts shouldn't be affected, and Florence Pugh said filming is expected to begin soon for Thunderbolts. This statement came not long after filming for Dune 2 wrapped up.
12:44 The Spider-Man show was redeveloped into "Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man" seasons 1 and 2, so in some ways it isn't happening but it really is just the same series with a different name now. And considering the push for marvel animation recently, and the popularity of Spider-man, this will be released come hell or high water. Bob also talked about prioritising stronger stories. Is a show where Steve Rogers returns an assortment of stones, set during a film from (by that point) 7 years ago that doesn't move the story along at all seem strong? Absolutely not. And considering Chris evans' recent comments he likely won't return to Marvel for a long while, if ever
Agreed...I'm down for both seasons for sure. It's weird they aren't discussing a release date yet but I'm sure we'll get S1 and hopefully we'll get S2 as well.
It does seem like Marvel has been setting up the West Coast Avengers since WandaVision ..with the introduction of Spectral Vision and Hercules and a new Hawkeye. Now we have Wonder Man and there were hints Wonder Man and his brother the Grim Reaper are coming in Wanda Vision.
I think that all the rumor stuff from like scoopers from online are the projects that are more likely getting cut so like basically 80% are gone. Though I do think we are getting spider-man sophomore year eventually it’s just a matter of when
I agree...the stuff that was never officially announced by Marvel is the most likely to get cut. And I hope we do get a second season of Spider-Man. The concept sounded really cool.
I think that pretty much all the animated MCU projects are safe, as those are pretty much easier to make and a separate division from the live action stuff.
@@iraford5788 I agree...other than perhaps Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, season 2, as they will likely wait and see how the first season performs.
Speaking of Young Avengers... Has it been confirmed officially? I agree that it's happening, but yet I feel like no one is talking about it. I actually thought Iman Vellani accidentally confirmed it in her interview with New Rockstars from 3 months ago (at around 3:35 in that video)
I don't think Marvel has confirmed it, per se, but the post-credit in The Marvels sure seemed like a Young Avengers tease. I know Iman is excited about the project, as you point out in that video.
I really enjoyed she-hulk on the second and third watch through a lot better than the first time. I don't think it's a bad show i just think the show was made with hate and made to make people upset. when you look at it from their pov it did it's job and was successful. I do think a season 2 should be done but with a different writing team and showrunner to make a more serious super-hero law show bc when they were trying that it was interesting. they just didn't do it enough or had not enough experience with legal shows
All I can say is that Hulk should deserve to get another movie at some point in the future. I mean c'mon, the last solo movie he's had centered around him came out all the way back in 2008, and that was literally at the very start of the MCU taking off.
@@AbitofEverything4U I read an article recently that suggested that Feige told Ruffalo personally that giving him his own movie was "never going to happen", which would be a serious bummer indeed if Marvel Studios were the only place we could expect to ever get one now. Ang Lee's 2003 movie I feel has only gotten more appreciation from some fans by this point for exploring a lot more of Bruce's dark, traumatic psyche than the MCU has ever really done with their version of the character. I was still finishing high school back when 2008's Incredible Hulk and Iron Man 1 came out, so that just shows how long ago it was since we last got to have a solo Hulk movie. It's funny to think that that tease they did for The Leader back in that film is something that's just been forgotten about for the longest time only to hear that they may finally be deciding to go back to that particular plot point now, only not for another Hulk movie but the next Captain America one.
Moon Girl is innocent in all of this. She doesn't deserve getting cancelled. Sony/Spider-man related stuff also shouldn't be here because Disney-Marvel don't really have a say in that. Out of every other one, leaving aside stuff that is for sure coming because its already cast or partially made, like Cap 4., Agatha, Daredevil, Thunderbolts, and F4, or has at the very least already started filming (meaning IronHeart and Wonderman, which is lucky for them because otherwise those should 100% not exist), the only other ones that SHOULD come out are: The Marvel Zombies show, just because its a multiverse, non-canon thing that doesn't affect anything and could be fun if handled well. Blade, because it could be a lower budget hit if the script is polished enough before filming, and Mahershala Ali is for sure going to be good as the character, plus Blade is still a popular Marvel hero, which means there's a good chance it'll do well. A Doctor Strange 3, to fix the damage from the second one, and tie up the cliffhanger from it, also. Visionquest, to end every loose Wanda plotline from WandaVision, MoM, and the Agatha show, plus Paul Bettany's Vision is one of the few undamaged characters left in the MCU from the older movies, so him getting a proper thing to star in would be nice. And Secret Wars. JUST Secret Wars. Avengers 5 might as well be cancelled now because there's literally no plot or director for it anymore. Every single project that I did not mention here should be cancelled or not continued further. And its way more than enough projects, because if you count Deadpool 3, What If Season 3, possibly a Season 4, MCU Spider-Man 4, and Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, that's a total of 17 upcoming MCU shows and movies. What more do you want. If there's a special one that I wish with all my heart that they don't make, though, its Young Avengers. Nobody cares or knows about any of those kid characters, and making a movie with them and slapping the "Avengers" name on it will only damage the Avengers brand when it inevitably flops, which is something Marvel cannot afford at this point, because its the most valuable brand name they have that's still intact.
Yep...I was looking forward to that special...I love the idea of a focused MCU entry on a new character and making a special on Sentry was such a smart move. Maybe they give it to us after all, but I am definitely worried.
Even when Nomad was first discussed I thought it would never happen. There’s no way Chris Evans would come back just for a special presention and other than huge nerds like us, I doubt many people would be interested without him
I'd love to see Nomad. But didn't the TVA prune the timeline they took 2 of the stones from? Mind and Time. I thought that 2012 was pruned after Loki escaped, with the space stone.
Good question...my assumption is that when Loki grabbed the tesseract and vanished that it created a new branch off the existing 2012 branch and that the TVA pruned that. But your question is another reason I really want to see something showing us how Steve returned the stones. Please, Marvel...pretty please!
She is not going to be in either. What I am afraid of is that they will use the Children's Crusade in which Wanda has a small part. It also seems funny that the most powerful being in the MCU needs children to rescue her. There are several things that were introduced in WandaVision and MoM that need to be dealt with. Is she a nexus being? What about her being destined to destroy the world? Does that tie into the destruction of the multiverse?
Honestly don't know thow they're gonna fit all these projects in before 2028, if that is when the Multiverse Saga ends. If they do three movies and two shows a year, then that doesn't leave a lot of room for all these projects to fit in. They'd better get the ball rolling on all these upcoming projects if they actually want to get them out in the next few years
I agree, even with eliminating 15 projects, I still think there isn't room to fit everything that's left in the schedule by 2028. Really hoping we get some new slate announcements soon!
I'd say in general, the Disney+ shows are much more prone to cancellation than the movies. Especially the second seasons of shows that weren't big hits. It's for the same reason Netflix keeps cancelling good shows. Unless it's one of their major hits that drives their subscriber base (like Stranger Things is for Netflix), it's hard to justify spending a lot of money to produce something that's not going to make much difference in their subscribers. It was worth it when Disney+ was just getting started, and people were subscribing to see all the new Marvel and Star Wars series, but now I think it's at a point where Marvel fans will watch a new Marvel series if they're already subscribed, but when you consider all the people who only subscribe for the stuff they really want to watch and cancel when they're done, Disney needs to make sure they give non-consistent subscribers reasons to stay subscribed, and if they can't, then they just won't focus their spending there. I wouldn't be surprised if this was exactly what was on Iger's mind when he said that quote.
Well said...I agree, the strategy for Disney+ has evolved and so we'll see a very different approach to the shows being made. I suspect we'll see a huge drop in the number of second seasons that had been originally discussed and there will be a much more focused approach on the content going forward. Excellent commentary!
I agree. it would be great if we got them all. But I fear they just don't have the bandwidth to do them. Hopefully we'll get more clarity when they give us a new slate update later this year!
I think that anything that has started or completed filling will start everting else has a chance of disappearing or being combined into other projects in order to streamline the narrative.
You have to be careful that you don't combine too much or it becomes clunkier. You could combine Vision Quest and Wiccan into young avengers but you can't combine Vision Quest, Wiccan and Young Avengers into a Scarlet Witch movie. You would have Vision looking for Billy. Vision and Billy looking for Tommy. Vision, Billy and Tommy seeking out the young avengers to find Wanda. Vision, Billy, Tommy and the young Avengers looking for Wanda. By the time they find her, her appearance in a Scarlet Witch movie would be a five minute cameo.
@@FrankWilliams-wi8zs Very good point...they have to be careful they don't go too far in the other direction otherwise they'll combine too much and create a different mess.
It's a very tough call tbh but they definitely need to do it. Although i'm one of the few ppl who enjoyed pretty much everything post Endgame, Marvel needs to do a LOT of heavy lifting to earn the general public's favor again. Now, if it is to be believed that the Special Presentations are done (which sucks), i can see the more important ones becoming either shows or movies (Ghost Rider/Silver Surfer). Also it has basically been confirmed by insiders that the Witches's Road special has turned into an Agatha episode. Ironheart is 100% coming out but i don't expect a 2nd season. Wonder Man as well although idk exactly where he's going after. Vision Quest is probably not happening and will turn into the rumored Children's Crusade project like the alleged Wiccan project. I think MK will get a 2nd season, not so sure about Ms Marvel. Maybe it will be best to keep all the Young Avengers characters into group projects instead of individual since they don't bring as much profit. Tatiana Maslany joked about She Hulk not getting another season bc of the budget which i can see. Midnight Suns is definitely happening. The Ten Rings will be resolved in Shang Chi 2 or sth. There is hope for Midnight Angels (maybe?). BP3, DS3, Thor 5 for sure. Eternals 2 as well but they'll probably wrap it up as much as they can and not use the characters much again if at all, which is a shame. The most worrying thing is Armor Wars tbh. I don't see it being very successful but they need to end Rhodey's story somehow and Don Cheadle deserves a solo movie after all these years. I honestly have no idea about WWH. Everyone's constantly going back and forth about whether it's happening but i see no reason not to do it. Marvel will probably continue with the animation to some degree. If i remember correctly it was confirmed that s4 of What If will be the last. Marvel Zombies will be a one off thing. FNSM might continue for more but i don't know how that's gonna go with Sony. Eyes of Wakanda was a huge suprise when announced and idk where it can go but i don't think it will run for long. The biggest focus might be on the X-men '97 series. The Strange Academy thing has some hope imo. There's no way they're not doing a solo Scarlet Witch movie, it's literally one of the most requested projects. Anyways there's so much that we don't know about and Marvel desperately needs to get on stage and reintroduce a new timeline for their upcoming projects cause it's become quite confusing at this point. I think their approach from now on will be to leave the movies to the really big characters they know can generate the biggest profit (DP, Avengers, BP, SM,DS, F4 etc) and use the multiple season shows like DDBA to have more characters without actually giving them their own spin offs (although i hope we get a Heroes For Hire series with Jessica and a Punisher solo). Sorry for the ramble XD there's just so much to think about which is why i choose to not really engage with it as much and wait for official announcements/releases. Great video btw!
Fantastic feedback. Loved reading it all and I agree with everything you said. I especially agree that Marvel needs to give us a new slate announcement and hopefully that will happen this year. Really appreciate you taking the time to write out your thoughts. Thanks so much!
If Armor Wars gets cut, it might not look good for Ironheart since that show kept getting delayed because of editing and wanting to release it close to Armor Wars since it might connect
Unfortunately I think you are being a little too optimistic about the movie side of things. I just don’t see how they’d make all of those rumored ones in time before secret wars (granted some of them could and should come out after). For example I think Nova would work best right after secret wars. He’s a new character, new set up, and just doesn’t really fit in with any other group at this point. If they end up not resetting the universe, I think it would be cool to see him collab with the young avengers though!!
I agree...Nova makes more sense after Secret Wars. And I also agree that there's still not really enough room to fit everything in. Such a bummer. I cut 15 things and I still think we need to cut more. Which of the remaining ones on the list would you cut?
Marvel Zombies is one of those projects that could be chopped ... Wonder Man is another too. Definitely the Witches Road. Armor Wars is another one that might get snuffed as well. I could see Vision Quest being folded into Younger Avengers though. Ms Marvel ... that could go either way honestly. World War Hulk always felt like a weird thing to happen so .... but Thor 5 and Eternals 2 ... not sure about those. And then as far as the others ... any number of those could happen but any number of them could never see the light of day. In a lot of cases they feel like uncertainties or risks that I'm not sure Disney at present is prepared to take and that isn't including the Mutants.
Yep...those are the ones at most risk. Marvel Zombies is definitely getting cut if it isn't already finished being worked on. My assumption is that it's done, but if not, I agree, that one will end up being cancelled. All your comments are spot on!
You hit the nail on the head. I think anything having to do with Captian Marvel and secret invasion is definitely gone, for now. The lowest grossing film and least watched shows? I think Marvel said yea, let's pretend this didn't happen and gloss over it for now. This is a shame because I like the actors and actresses in those movies, and of course, Iman is the chosen one when it comes to MCU Lore. 😂. She did say recently she doesn't know when shes coming back, and it might be because they're trying to fit her in other projects. Those characters probably won't ever get a solo project or anything and be reduced to background characters and get their stories resolved in other movies. I also think any of the Dplus shows that really didn't work are gone. She hulk, Miss Marvel, Hawkeye, special presentations, some that have been production hell are gone, Armor Wars, World War Hulk, Iron Heart. Shame, but hopefully, Marvel and Disney learn that not everyone needs a show or movie and that they should slow down. Learn what works and what doesn't.
Yeah, those are some very good theories on what will be cancelled and what will stay around. Marvel is smart to do this shake-up. I think it will pay massive dividends to reduce the quantity and focus on the proven characters going forward.
Ironheart is finished. The only question is when it will be shown. Some of these shows are very expensive to produce so they are going to fit them into movies where they can amortize the costs.Worth noting that most of these projects are male led. This m-she-u nonsense is a major myth.
A lot of these I knew about, but I'm not sure I ever heard about the likes of Abomination, Kang, or Mephisto. In any case, I think most of your guesses are probable, even if some of these getting axed is a shame. That said, while I like watching Marvel stuff, even if it gets bad, I don't think they really need to dish out so many projects as much. More sequel seasons feels like a smarter decision.
Great feedback...yeah, I think it's smart for Marvel to cut back abit as I love the content, but the average fan felt overwhelmed, I suspect. As for where all these titles came from, there was a reddit post around a year ago that laid out the supposed slate for the next several years to come and that's where these first showed up. They all made sense, but even at the time, it seemed like too much.
Glad you have X-men in phase 7 or later. Would love phase 7+ to be a combination of midnight sons and x-men. Supernatural and mutation. And maybe Scarlet Witch is the key character that ties both together.
I agree...Phase 7 seems the right place for X-men and Scarlet Witch...and that's a great suggestion for Midnight Sons to be in Phase 7 as well. Nice call!
Thanks so much for the positive feedback...glad you liked the vid! I think it's fascinating to keep track of the slate, including the rumored projects as well as the announced projects. I'm bummed to see some of the ideas getting cancelled, but it's a smart move for Marvel to focus on the core characters and the key storylines going forward.
@@AbitofEverything4U definitely bro. At the end of the day they have forever to make all the projects their hearts desire, so why rush it? Take your time and make good movies / shows and everybody will be happy
I hope Ms. Marvel gets some justice. Love that character. I liked the first half of her show but when it became about alternate realities and secret societies and time travel all at once I totally tuned out. I think she works way better in a spider-man sorta role as a small town hero who occasionally finds herself wrapped into big Avengers stories. Sucks that the Marvels was pretty tepid too
Yeah, it was a fun show and I liked it myself. Bummer it wasn't received as well as Marvel had hoped. But regardless of where She-Hulk shows up next, I think she's got a great future ahead in the MCU!
Yeah well there is a couple projects could i do with heard more of your opinion. Those are thunderbolts and blade. My brother really wants blade to happen but I don’t see because of how many re-writes, my gosh. And thunderbolts has been a project I have been looking forward to the most. I just want to see my man Bucky again he my favorite character.
I'm very excited about Thunderbolts...that team looks great! And I am indeed worried about Blade, but hoping they find a way to make it happen even with the rough road it's had so far. Fingers crossed.
Yes, although generally, the only episode I made check out is the robot episode primarily because of the fact it’s doing something which I want more episodes to do, which is tell stories that couldn’t be done in the MCU either that they happen differently in the MCU or that stuff that would never happen like giant robots for the Avengers
Yeah, they need an avengers movie because only one movie from this new saga made $1 billion and their will for sure be another one this year that will make $1 billion
Out of the titles being discussed here, I think the following will be axed: Marvel Zombies Eyes of Wakanda Spiderman Freshman Year Ironheart I am Groot 3 VisionQuest Miss Marvel 2 Thor 5 Scarlet Witch movie Midnight Angels Strange Academy The Ten Rings She Hulk 2 Spiderman Sophomore Year Abomination special ManThing special Illuminati special Nomad special Honestly this is the right call, better focusing on quality rather than quantity, despite the fact some of these titles would have been interesting, like the Nomad special.
@@iraford5788 Yeah, I suspect anything that's been completed will be released, but I could see them cutting back on future entries for things like Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man.
I wouldn't want a shang-chi 2 unless they have a better story that focuses more on Shang I'd like to see him do a little more fighting with less cuts and shakey cam to really make the fighting feel better that being said i don't just want a recreation of daredevil fight scenes
Yeah, I suspect they would have to change things up abit in Shang Chi 2's fight scenes and maybe even bring in Iron Fist, if that works for the story, as I'd love to see the two of them fighting together. Will be interesting to see what they do with that movie, tbh.
This isn’t something to do with the video, but this is the best way I feel like I can reach out to you. I just finished Ant-man Quantumania and at the end of the film, or near the end, we see Janet Van Dyne interacting with a kang tech computer in which she scrolls through what I believe is the sacred timeline and finds their destination, which is earth, which I believe Janet was trying to find a point in time to time travel to possibly moments before they all were sucked into the quantum realm at the beginning of the film. so that way the time dilation effect doesn’t affect the main universe and we can still have Quantumania work, but I was wondering what you think about the timeline that they show there and how it is interpreted because I haven’t seen any other posts or any other content creator bring up that specific frame in the film because there are the two timelines that Kang mentions, but then the very end of the film janet van dyne interacts with the timeline. I just wanna know what you think about it.
Wow...that sounds very interesting. I watched the end of the movie to try to find it, but I can't seem to locate the scene you are referring to. Do you know the timestamp in the movie that the scene occurs?
Yep, that's the scene I was thinking you meant. But I can't find where she's scrolling through the sacred timeline. I do hope you're right, though, as that would be so cool!
@@AbitofEverything4U it goes by really quick, be sure to look at the bottom left corner of the screen as janet is looking through the timeline. it’s just after scott and cassie reconvened with hank and hope
This is probably going to be controversial, but I am seriously questioning the logic of having Witch’s Road and even more, the Scarlet Witch movie. While Wanda Maximoff is a great character, we’ve seen her in 5 movies and a full series. I don’t know what a movie would do- do we want to see her struggle with her dark side AGAIN? I’m of the opinion that Multiverse of Madness could be the end for her, or she can take a supporting role in other projects. I just don’t think she can lead her own/ it would be a retread of other appearances. If anything I feel like it and VisionQuest should be combined. Next controversial opinion: No World War Hulk. Considering we went from Sakaar to Infinity War to Smart Hulk, it doesn’t make sense that Bruce would suddenly snap. I don’t think we need to have every single big comic event in this universe. Again, supporting role/ Avengers films. Strange 3 needs to happen. It would probably be where Strange realizes what’s coming. I don’t know if Ms Marvel season 2 needs to happen as she’s the “leader” of the Young Avengers and would be featured in that. Eternals needs some kind of continuation, but first we need some acknowledgment of its events. Oh yeah, and most of the rumoured special presentations we do not need. If we’re continuing with Kang, Kang’s backstory needs to be in the movie. Same with the Surfer. And the Illuminati getting a Special makes no sense- that should be something happening in an Avengers film/ end credits of Strange 3 or of a film containing one of the members.
Wow, that's some great feedback! I do love Wanda myself, but you are right, if she returns it needs to be a new direction for her character, versus a retread. If they find a way to make her have a vital role in fixing the multiverse, then I'd love to see her return. And I had the same concerns on World War Hulk. I just don't know what makes him start raging again. I also agree with your other feedback as well. Excellent commentary!

@@iraford5788 I agree...other than Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man season 2, as that will likely be determined by how the first season goes, I suspect.
Personally I hooe they cut most of the series, maybe turned some of them into movies. I really think the series have overloaded the MCU, there is now so much to watch that they made a Movie only Timeline section on Disney+. For example I think Agatha should be cancelled since there is just no need to have a show about her. Young Avengers should be turned into a movie and I think Eternals 2, Vision Quest and Miss Marvel should be cancelled. Ms Marvel should get a full movie though.
Yep, I agree, there were too many D+ series in the works and it was important for Marvel to cut way back on those. I suspect we'll only get a few series each year going forward and the focus will be on the movies once again.
Man I gotta say I’m a firm believer that none of these projects needs to be cut. Frankly I think superhero fatigue and Bob iger are wrong. I remember around the first year of Disney plus people were upset because we were getting so much shows like wandavision, falcon and winter soldier, Loki etc. and now we hear so many complaints about having to do your “homework.” Well first of all you don’t have to watch anything you don’t want, marvel gets you up to speed, yes you may miss some things but that’s still entirely up to you. And secondly this used to be way worse, for a few years there we had Netflix’s shows going, agents of shield and cloak and dagger/runaways all at the same time I believe. And those were great! The amount of projects doesn’t matter, marvel’s already proved that, it’s the quality that matters. But ultimately I do think your predictions are right, I do really hate that special presentations are getting phased out because we only got 2 and they were amazing! I think the format could help get us caught up on some plotlines with very little effort compared to a show or movie it seems. Both for the studio and audience
It's so funny you mention the 2017-18 time frame when we were getting so many shows left and right, but no one complained, as I was just thinking about that the other day. You are so right...people just watched what you wanted and skipped what you wanted. The real issue is just improving the quality of the shows and movies as the "fatigue" is not real. I am wondering, however, if Marvel is feeling like they just can't keep the quality where it needs to be with the level of quantity. So yeah, it seems we may miss out on some of the things we were hoping to get, which is a total bummer. Sigh.
@@AbitofEverything4U yea I think marvels lack of wanting to hand out there ips to different studios like abc, freeform and Netflix so it’s all done in house on Disney plus is part of the issue. When different production companies are working on different projects it’s easier to make it better quality
I don't see where Scarlet Witch fits in here. They have to extend the multiversal saga to 2028 with a 7th Avengers film to get a Scarlet Witch movie in. It doesn't seem that she is a high priority. That takes her out of Avengers 5 and Secret Wars. If they have no Avengers 7 then she will not be in either Avengers film. WandaVision was successful and MoM made just short of a billion dollars.
I am nowhere near as confident as you are that Armor Wars survives the chopping block. I do think that February date in 2026 is where it would go. But if Blade gets pushed into the date by Sony forcing Spider-Man 4 into either July or Christmas 2025, the inevitable result is Blade takes this slot simply because Marvel won't do that many releases in 1 year so close to each other. And I'm someone who really wants Armor Wars. Give me Justin Hammer back please. Now they are rewriting both Cap 4 and Thunderbolts which leads me to believe that it is possible they maybe streamline the government subplot to resolve in Thunderbolts just because of lack of real estate to tell it. Like you I think they REALLY want Avengers 5 in that year. I agree with you that Shang-Chi 2 and Doctor Strange 3 are the bridge movies between the Avengers installments. I'm not even sure this is the order, it could go either way. But regardless both of these probably occupy these slots. So delaying Armor Wars into one of these makes even less sense. Finally,I do not believe we are getting Eternals 2 even though I really want it! I think the most likely scenario is they fold the resolution of the Eternals and Celestials into Thor 5. Think about it. Thor 5 starts off with Hercules attacking him,he becomes aware that the Olympian gods are targeting the Norse ones. We bring back Zeus and go into more Olympians. But eventually they realize they need to work together because the true threat is the false space gods, the Celestials. And then we get a fun team-up with Thor,Hercules and the Eternals in a movie themed to be about godhood and the responsibilities of godhood and false godhood. This gives us a resolution to the Eternals plot line without having to commit to a full sequel.
Great feedback on the vid! Yeah, I could see them finding a way to resolve the political storyline in Thunderbolts and CA 4, if they opt not to do Armor Wars. Bummer if that happens, but I agree that it may be how it goes down. And I like your idea of using Thor 5 to wrap up the Eternals storyline, assuming they can do both Thor and the Eternals justice in one movie. Lots for Marvel to consider!
I'd love to get Dr. Strange before Avengers, but what release slot would it fit in? As for BTSV, I'd love it in 2024, but it seems unlikely at this point.
It’s very likely February for DS which is right before Avengers in fact, it’s the movie right before Avengers if it is that date but it’s kind of crazy knowing that it was supposed to take 2 years or a year and a half from Sam leading his own solo movie as Cap to him leading the Avengers but now will only be about 14 1/2 months to when we will see him again now leading the Avengers
I agree...alot of the items in the rumored discussion were never greenlit and were just thrown out as ideas. But it's fun to keep track of everything that could have been done, so that we can see just how much is being cut.
My guess is that they are only looking to cancel things that can have their storylines folded into other entries. I agree, I don't want to lose anything that hurts the integrity of the MCU. Well said!
As much as I love zombie stories like The walking dead and last of us I am scared for marvel zombies. I hope it still happens but something tells me it's getting the chopping block.
Yeah, I'm worried about it...it's been discussed for so long but still doesn't have a release date. That said, it seems D+ doesn't give out release dates much in advance of a show premiering, so perhaps all is well.
I kinda feel like Strange Academy could happen, mostly because of Wong. Wong has been like the breakout hit of Multiverse Saga. Every time he's shown up, he's been praised. People that didn't like She-Hulk, tended to like Wong's stuff there. A Wong lead series, feels like its just a strong possibility. Most Everything else I generally agree with. Except maybe Eternal 2, if anything happens there I'm not sure it will be as a movie. Armor Wars I'd like to happen, but Secret Invasion was one of the worst received shows, and even The Marvels seemed to ignore it. I just feel like all that is going to be quietly swept under the rug. It happened, but it'll likely never be mentioned or referred to ever again. If Armor Wars does happen, it'll probably be scrubbed of anything related to SI. I think its a potentially important plot of "what happened to Tony's tech" to be completely dropped, since Ironman is popular. ...I'm just not sure if Don Chedle could pull off a solo movie... He's always kinda felt like one of the weaker actors they have. It's nothing against him in general, I just haven't liked him much as Rhodie and haven't felt like he's brought much to the table. I'd love to be proven wrong though.
Excellent feedback. I agree, Wong is the Phase 4 MVP for sure. I'd love to see him in anything, and I think the Academy show would be alot of fun. And I have the same concerns regarding Armor Wars. I think it could be a really good movie if they pull in some big names to join Cheadle in the movie, but it's definitely a risky movie.
I definitely do think Disney has had a rough few years. But I'm hopeful things are turning around as I think they are finally regaining their focus. Here's hoping it's upward from here on out!
Marvel has been throwing things at the wall to see what sticks. Its just too much for audiences and ruins the consistency. So I think Disney pulling back is one of the best things they can do right now, especially with all the hate they've been getting.
While I do agree that it wasn't a great business strategy to create so many projects within the past three years, it's truly a miracle what they were able to accomplish. The fact that I LOVE a whopping 16 projects released only in phases 4 and 5 is extremely impressive. I'm not someone who usually enjoys this superhero stuff, but their newfound creative approach has worked like a charm on me.
@@daltonmeadesmith I agree...it's amazing that with the quantity of MCU entries we got in that short span of time, the majority of them were very good. I think it's smart for Marvel to pull back abit, but I'm still glad we got what we did over the last few years.

End credits like Eternal or Thor Love and Thunder shouldn't be add (My opinion)
@@MarvelStationTH Yeah, I do fear we may never see those end credits paid off, but hopefully Feige will find a way!
I really believe that now that Bob Iger is back he and Feige will bring back the best of the MCU ❤️
Fortunately it's not too late. They can and will recover from these bad years.

I’m really excited for anything dealing with Rhodey. I hope you are right! Great video
Yeah, I really want to see Armor Wars. Fingers crossed that we get it!
I'm in total agreement with you on Wonder Man. One of the most underrated superheroes of all time is long overdue for his time in the limelight.
A lot of shows would even a lot better if Marvel just turned them into special presentations instead, as they maybe don't need multiple episodes.
ikr? I loved the two special presentations that we got and was looking forward to more. I'm really bummed they are doing away with them.

While I don't love the idea of cancelling projects,I do think it overall makes the most sense. If they really want to just get a clear focus on the future, this is the best way possible. However, they could always combine projects, like you suggested for some.
Yeah, I hate to see anything go, but I do hope they only cut stuff that can have the story folded into something else instead. Great feedback!
If they can't make world war hulk sequels movie, why not make like what if , It cost cheaper and universal and Disney may can have deal using animations
That's an interesting suggestion. I agree, I'd really like to see the story play out in some fashion.
Agreed...I hate to see the content drop, but if it makes the quality and the continuity better, then it's worth it. Great points!

Yeah, generally speaking this is probably project I am more excited for just from hearing what the show is going to be now i’m a lot more excited for this than most of her projects. In fact, the more excited for this than the next Avengers movie because of the fact that we know more about this than the next Avengers movie and also I just like how it sounds more
Yep...lots to look forward to with Wonder Man!
@@AbitofEverything4U
I think you need to look at the writing.
@@kapitankapital6580 Good commentary! Yeah, Marvel definitely has their work cut out for them!
i feel like with WonderMan having been pushed so far along -- filming was interrupted during the strike, and yet they hadn't officially announced it -- it's highly likely that the projects getting the axe are ones that we maybe haven't even heard of because they were still in early development. perhaps things like "a solo series for that one woman in the background of black panther. an animated series serving as a prequel for some characters you don't even remember. and, another series based on some inconsequential suit like with Clark Gregg and Agents of Shield.
I'd be down for that...would be amazing if they found a creative way to tie it all together!
Great video, mate!
Many thanks!
When they announced Vision Quest, the speculation I saw was that it was originally going to be a storyline in Armor Wars back when it was a series; but once they converted it to a film, they broke off the Vision storyline. So I think it’s likely that they fold it back into Armor Wars
Oh, now I hadn't considered that direction, tbh. I'd definitely be down for Vision showing up in Armor Wars. Nice call!
Also, not Marvel related, but since Iger mentioned Non-Marvel projects are also getting scrapped, i hope Frozen 3 and 4 are the first on the chopping block.
Yeah, I enjoyed the first one, but I was pretty bored with the second one. So I'd be fine if they scrapped those two.
@AbitofEverything4U Yeah, personally, in hindsight, I think it would've been better if they did what they did with Tangled and Big Hero 6 and make a 2D animated series for the Disney Channel set after the first film. But of course, they didn't do that.
Agreed!
Preach it!
I hope season two of the marvels isn't cancelled it was my favorite disneyplus series as it taught me a lot about a different culture and kept as much from the original comic run as they could beside that Iman is Kamala Khan like she's basically like RDJ is to iron man
Ikr? I really enjoyed Ms. Marvel Season 1. She's so perfect for the role and I loved learning about her world.
I think it's telling that Disney/Marvel are releasing The Falcon And The Winter Soldier BDs as "The Complete First Season" and not "The Complete Series", which seems like they might bring the series back for another series.
Yeah, I thought that was so odd...I can't imagine them doing a second season of that show...but it does seem to imply one is coming. Very weird.
@@AbitofEverything4U Perhaps it'll be a vehicle to showcase the new Falcon after he appears in Captain America BNW? And any excuse to have Bucky return is a welcomed one.
Great points!
As long as there is quality in all for it
Agreed...I think that by pushing things out of 2024 and into 2025 to get some breathing room, combined with dropping the overall quantity of movies/shows, I think they will find a sweet spot with everything that's left.
Yeah and I feel there has been no quality drop fans got overly picky

@@AbitofEverything4U Yeah, I hope so too. Also, thank you.
yw!
Yep, I agree, I think Marvel will seek to combine alot of the future entries, just as you are suggesting. Good call!
@@AbitofEverything4U 👍
@AbitofEverything4U another thing too that i forgot to mention in my initial comment, is that if they wanted to, they could have Doctor Strange 3 or Captain Marvel 3 get the Kang Dynasty tagline and wrap up and resolve the stuff with the Council of Kangs in one of those two films (just with a new actor for the Kangs). Probably won't do that, especially after the reception of both MOM and the Marvel's (which would be a real shame because i actually really like MOM and the Marvels), but still.
Yeah, those are some good possibilities as well. I'm so anxious to see the next big slate announcement!
Ikr? Ms. Marvel was great. I hope they don't cancel it and that they find a way to fit it into everything that's going on. Fingers crossed!
@@AbitofEverything4Uiman vellani has been assured by marvel she has a future in the mcu, so whether that be Young Avengers, Ms Marvel season 2 or an upcoming film, she is safe

Yea as long as it gets canceled but continues into another story that’ll be good
Yes, that would be great if they use that strategy!
I agree...I hate to see anything go, but I do hope it makes the MCU more approachable for the casual fans.
Special Presentations > Shows
Hour long feature > 6-9 episodes with uneven runtimes and unsatisfying endings
I totally agree...I'm really bummed they are moving away from special presentations.
What you said is sensible. Do we REALLY need a Witches Road and Vision Quest? It’s better to fold them into other projects as you stated. But I NEED World War Hulk, Nova and Midnight Sons. I’ll riot if not
Yeah, I agree, World War Hulk, Midnight Sons and Nova are all very popular and I truly hope we get them. Fingers crossed!

Yeah, I hope we do get Armor Wars...it's got so much going for it!
Did you get who I was also referencing that may return it?!
Ultron...can't wait!
@@FrankWilliams-wi8zs Amen to that! The Scarlet Witch really needs a solo movie big time!

Well said...yeah, there have been alot of hints that the West Coast Avengers are arriving sooner than later!
What id expect to be cancelled would be: all of the special presentations, most of the seasons 2, and some unannounced/concept movies
Yep, those are definitely the most likely items on the chopping block
I really enjoyed she-hulk on the second and third watch through a lot better than the first time. I don't think it's a bad show i just think the show was made with hate and made to make people upset. when you look at it from their pov it did it's job and was successful. I do think a season 2 should be done but with a different writing team and showrunner to make a more serious super-hero law show bc when they were trying that it was interesting. they just didn't do it enough or had not enough experience with legal shows
Yeah, I liked She Hulk Season 1 as well. Bummed that we may not get a season 2.
I was looking forward seeing strange academy
Me, too! Sigh.
Also, you can update your Deadpool image to be the films logo
Good suggestion...although I've seen several images for the film, so I'm not sure which one to use. But I'll find one that looks good.
All I can say is that Hulk should deserve to get another movie at some point in the future. I mean c'mon, the last solo movie he's had centered around him came out all the way back in 2008, and that was literally at the very start of the MCU taking off.
Yep...I was so sure he'd be getting his own movie...so I was surprised when Ruffalo said it wasn't happening. Bummer.
Yeah, it's so wild that we're finally getting the Leader after 17 years, but it isn't in a Hulk movie. Craziness!
Moon Girl is innocent in all of this. She doesn't deserve getting cancelled. Sony/Spider-man related stuff also shouldn't be here because Disney-Marvel don't really have a say in that.
Out of every other one, leaving aside stuff that is for sure coming because its already cast or partially made, like Cap 4., Agatha, Daredevil, Thunderbolts, and F4, or has at the very least already started filming (meaning IronHeart and Wonderman, which is lucky for them because otherwise those should 100% not exist), the only other ones that SHOULD come out are:
The Marvel Zombies show, just because its a multiverse, non-canon thing that doesn't affect anything and could be fun if handled well.
Good feedback...yep, lots for Marvel to consider as they decide what goes on the chopping block!
If sentry gets cancelled im gonna be devastated
Yep...I was looking forward to that special...I love the idea of a focused MCU entry on a new character and making a special on Sentry was such a smart move. Maybe they give it to us after all, but I am definitely worried.
Even when Nomad was first discussed I thought it would never happen. There’s no way Chris Evans would come back just for a special presention and other than huge nerds like us, I doubt many people would be interested without him
Yep, I really fear we'll never see it happen. Sigh.
I do hope the contents of the witches road special do happen in some way. I would love to see Wanda show up in Agatha: Coven of many names
Agreed...I hope we don't lose any of the story due to them combining the projects.
@@FrankWilliams-wi8zs I agree...I'm really interested to know if she's a nexus being and what her role will be in Secret Wars.
Interesting take on this topic, but I personally believe all of these MCU projects are going to happen one way or another.
I agree. it would be great if we got them all. But I fear they just don't have the bandwidth to do them. Hopefully we'll get more clarity when they give us a new slate update later this year!
I think that anything that has started or completed filling will start everting else has a chance of disappearing or being combined into other projects in order to streamline the narrative.
100% agree...I think that's a smart strategy for Marvel to take going forward.
I just wanna see the return of Wanda / Scarlet Witch, it was devastating seeing her story end in kinda an unsatisfying way
I agree...Wanda HAS to return. Hope it's sooner than later!
I agree...if they cut Armor Wars, I suspect Iron Heart will go as well. Fingers crossed that doesn't happen!
@@FrankWilliams-wi8zs Yeah, it would be surprising not to get Iron Heart. And I hope it sets up Armor Wars, as I really want to see it as well!
There's also a rumor about Iron Fist show.
Thanks for the reminder! I'd be down for that...or I also heard he might appear in Shang Chi 2.
Nice call!
The goat strikes again
Thanks so much for the positive feedback...glad you liked the vid! I think it's fascinating to keep track of the slate, including the rumored projects as well as the announced projects. I'm bummed to see some of the ideas getting cancelled, but it's a smart move for Marvel to focus on the core characters and the key storylines going forward.
@@AbitofEverything4U definitely bro. At the end of the day they have forever to make all the projects their hearts desire, so why rush it? Take your time and make good movies / shows and everybody will be happy
Amen to that!
I hope Ms. Marvel gets some justice. Love that character. I liked the first half of her show but when it became about alternate realities and secret societies and time travel all at once I totally tuned out. I think she works way better in a spider-man sorta role as a small town hero who occasionally finds herself wrapped into big Avengers stories. Sucks that the Marvels was pretty tepid too
Yeah, let's hope they find a way to give us Ms. Marvel Season 2. Iman is so amazing in that role and there's alot they could do with her character.
I do hope we get a she hulk season 2 it's such a unique villain of the week type show which i quite enjoy
Yeah, it was a fun show and I liked it myself. Bummer it wasn't received as well as Marvel had hoped. But regardless of where She-Hulk shows up next, I think she's got a great future ahead in the MCU!
Riri, please. I hope she makes it too
Agreed...It would be a real shame not to get Iron Heart after she did such a great job in Wakanda Forever!
Also, What If it’s coming out at the end of this year because it’s done basically
I'd love to see What If Season 3 arrive at the end of 2024...that would be an amazing Christmas gift!
Yes, although generally, the only episode I made check out is the robot episode primarily because of the fact it’s doing something which I want more episodes to do, which is tell stories that couldn’t be done in the MCU either that they happen differently in the MCU or that stuff that would never happen like giant robots for the Avengers
Agreed...I like stories that couldn't be done in the MCU like that robot one.
Some projects doesn't need to have a solo serie for example Secret Invasion
But don't take away my NOVA hope Gosling be Richard Rider
Yeah, I really hope they give us Nova. That's been rumored for a long time and would be a great character to get the spotlight shown on him!

Yeah, they need an avengers movie because only one movie from this new saga made $1 billion and their will for sure be another one this year that will make $1 billion
100% agreed!
I have a question about Marvel Zombies, will it take place on a variant of the MCU or in a more comic-acurate universe?
My guess is that it is in a "what if" type branch off 616, and thus we could see the zombies making a live appearance in Secret Wars, for instance.
@@AbitofEverything4U Neat, but I worry they're gonna tone down a lot of the gore and violence.
@@Jodipoit's actually been officially confirmed by the showrunner that Marvel Zombies will be rated TV-MA the R rating for tv shows.
@@iraford5788 Yeah, looks like it will be pretty hard core and violent.
Out of the titles being discussed here, I think the following will be axed:
Marvel Zombies
Eyes of Wakanda
Spiderman Freshman Year
Ironheart
I am Groot 3
VisionQuest
Miss Marvel 2
Thor 5
Scarlet Witch movie
Midnight Angels
Strange Academy
The Ten Rings
She Hulk 2

Abomination special
ManThing special
Illuminati special
Nomad special
Honestly this is the right call, better focusing on quality rather than quantity, despite the fact some of these titles would have been interesting, like the Nomad special.
I forgot half of these were rumoured lol
Yep, I agree, it's the right move for alot of these entries to be cut. It's painful to think about all the stuff being lost, but it's for the best.
@@ThatSpeedrunnerGuy ikr!
None of the animated projects are getting axed I don't think.
@@AbitofEverything4U 1:43:34 is when the section starts
Yep, that's the scene I was thinking you meant. But I can't find where she's scrolling through the sacred timeline. I do hope you're right, though, as that would be so cool!
@@AbitofEverything4U it goes by really quick, be sure to look at the bottom left corner of the screen as janet is looking through the timeline. it’s just after scott and cassie reconvened with hank and hope
Yeah, I really apologize, but I just can't see if. If you know the exact second I should look at, perhaps that would help.
I really hope Armor Wars, Ironheart and Marvel Zombies are spared
Me, too. I've been looking forward to both of those for awhile. Fingers crossed they survive!
Next controversial opinion:
No World War Hulk.

I think pretty much all the animated MCU projects are safe.
I remember around the first year of Disney plus people were upset because we were getting so much shows like wandavision, falcon and winter soldier, Loki etc. and now we hear so many complaints about having to do your “homework.”
Well first of all you don’t have to watch anything you don’t want, marvel gets you up to speed, yes you may miss some things but that’s still entirely up to you.
Exactly!
Yeah, the lack of Wanda is surprising. But I'm holding out hope that they have big plans for her as we approach the collapse of the multiverse.
5:37 Doctor Strange is before Avengers, Also I do hope BTSV is next year
I'd love to get Dr. Strange before Avengers, but what release slot would it fit in? As for BTSV, I'd love it in 2024, but it seems unlikely at this point.
Meaning BTSV for 2025
It’s very likely February for DS which is right before Avengers in fact, it’s the movie right before Avengers if it is that date but it’s kind of crazy knowing that it was supposed to take 2 years or a year and a half from Sam leading his own solo movie as Cap to him leading the Avengers but now will only be about 14 1/2 months to when we will see him again now leading the Avengers
Yep, BTSV is definitely 2025, it seems.
12:38 some of the stuff you’re talking about here in earlier are being redeveloped as movies also Mephisto was never really a project to begin with
Young Avengers, Nova, Midnight Sons & Ghost Rider are movies now & Silver Surfer is a TV show
I agree...alot of the items in the rumored discussion were never greenlit and were just thrown out as ideas. But it's fun to keep track of everything that could have been done, so that we can see just how much is being cut.
Just hoping that the projects which are getting axed are not so much important to the integrity of mcu after the whole revaluation.
I think they said Ghost Rider is becoming a movie
I'd be so down for that. Hopefully that gets added to the official slate!
I'm also looking at Disney as a hole. A black hole sucking in everything in its path and destroying it on the atomic level.
Yep...totally agree. I hate to see anything cut, but I agree 100% that some things just have to go as the quantity was waaaaaay too much.
We can still cancel Madame Web if this reality was just a flashforward that she had!
Excellent point!
I think wonder man is at risk. destin Daniel cretton was leading it and they just announced he’s officially doing Shang chi 2. Feels like i haven’t heard anything about it since that crew member died a few weeks back
Yeah, I'm worried about Wonder Man as well. Really hoping it can get completed as I'm looking forward to it.
