I missed LA Frock Stars. So happy to learn about this series. You Tube's analytics can work, who knew? I enjoyed seeing, in this episode, how world events can direct fashion to a particular direction. Two suggestions: (1) Show how great art can cross over and influence designers and fashion trends both past and present. Specifically I am thinking about the classic black dress seen in John Singer Sargent's Portrait of Madam X. Also maybe focus on themes of past Met Galas regarding the extreme, the wearable and even buyable.

    Hi Doris,
I am so ecstatic to see the Gilbert Adrian pieces in your collection and to see them exhibited in this episode. A few weeks ago, I had the chance to see the Adrian and Alaïa exhibition here in Paris which turned out to be an enriching experience and it was absolutely divine to see all that tailored construction and how both the creators and designers influenced each other through their method of cutting and moulding it, irrespective of the time periods. Now, I can understand the connections between the 1940s and the 1980s much better in terms of the inspirations and the details. I am so elated to see the Galliano Spring 1995 ensemble worn by Kate Moss as well as those Mugler jackets and ensembles. Loved the Indian paisley print on that Pierre Balmain ensemble as well. Hoping to learn more from you and see more of those showoffs.......

Another fabulous video as usual. Thierry Mugler fashion, in my opinion, going to blow up big time thanks to people like Kim Kardashian and Cardi B wearing his vintage peices and events such as the Met Gala that promote his creations. I've said this before and ill say it again, people, please spend extra on good clothing. The cut the fit and the tailoring will complement the human form and will last you a long time as long as you look after it. Great tailoring is worth the money in the long run and will never go out of style if you buy key peices.

I love this channel so much!!!! Just recently stumbled upon your videos and they seriously give me chills!! I grew up with the dream of being a fashion designer one day and used to walk the thrift stores with my grandma looking for cool vintage pieces when I was just a little girl. I'd try on her heels from the 30's and 40's and do my own runway shows down their long hallway 💞 would love to visit your store someday!! That rainbow unicorn jacket😍😍 with the rainbow swimsuit you showed on another video, omgosh the rainbow bright in my heart jumped for joy!!!!! Hello all the way from the cornerstone of Illinois 💞💞

TWWW posted a new video - it's a good day :) Absolutely love the new segment "Show offs" great idea, I look forward to the fun pieces we'll see. That piece of swimwear is just outstanding.
The multi-colored Mugler piece is so divine - whimsy and sharp tailoring in one. :)
Really love the history lesson being included, it's so interesting how we can trace politics and policy in our clothing.
I wonder, do you have any Madeleine Vionnet pieces?

Canlita Incanta Hello again Canlita! I had 8 Vionnets up until about 7 years ago. All sold to a collector/couturier in Paris. In retrospect- I should have kept at least one. ☹️

I truly feel like Galliano's Spring 1995 collection was like his audition for Dior. However the collection didn't feel like it was only referencing Dior, it felt more like the second coming. He truly immersed himself in Dior. One of the looks was inspired by Dior's "scissor" dress from the Fall 1949 collection. It was an obscure dress that Galliano referenced various times throughout his career. The 1995 show was also interesting in that it was a complete turnaround from the low-budget (yet still incredible) show from just a season before. I hope you do an episode about Galliano and his career. Despite all the controversy he truly is one of the most influential designers of the past forty years.
On a side note: if you look closely at the picture at 7:11 you see Azzedine Alaia in the front row.
