Thanks for the update on internal GYRO stabilization which is apparently a hidden feature that will be accessible via Firmware 7.9 and Resolve 18. I'm hoping /assuming that this feature will be available on the BMPCC 4K - definitely a game changer - hope the "details are made available ASAP ! Best from Houston !
I just got the 6k 2 months ago.. I'd be furious if the gyro data workflow wasn't available with the previous models. Because that's for once a huge upgrade, and I just love that Black Magic Design isn't trying to rob us all of our money. They are taking over the whole market, doing many things very right, right now.
Do you think they will release a new bmpcc4k or this model are gonna stay the same? I was planning to buy a 4k but now I dont know if it is better to wait
if they were thinking about it then they would have it done it with 6k G2. i don't think we are gonna see any new BMPCC 4k. but i would like them to use 4.6k sensor of Ursaa mini.
@@AnotherCameraChannel By the way and this is a long shot, did you try or know if the Lucadapter from the 6K version works on the new G2? (technically it should work, but I'm not 100% sure).
@@AnotherCameraChannel yes! I’m looking forward to trying it out doing a handheld or shoulder rig type shoot… Which I wouldn’t have done before because I really hate shaky footage… I don’t think it’s an excuse to do unmotivated camera movements but it could certainly add another option to movement where I wouldn’t need to use a Gimble…
i'm mostly just confused by this G2. Not disappointed really. I think your perspective is probably the correct one, new folks coming into the Blackmagic ecosystem is what the G2 is really for. I have, and still use the BMPCC OG and the 4k. Is a brighter screen and internal ND filters worth $500USD? Yeah, confusion, i have it.
I'll tell you why I'm buying one. They removed the NDs, which means I can use the Lucadapter once again. Also, the internal NDs weren't of great quality, and they were somewhat limited. Lucadapter means 1x light stop, plus nearly FF crop.
@@joaocorreiamedia oh nice! yeah i have indeed heard not so stellar things about the ND filters. i also just ordered a 6k G2 the other day. the new color science, resolution etc. just now makes a lot of sense
I think they should do it to the 4k and drop the price on the 4k...some of us like me have invested in the MFT glass and really want a EVF at least ...maybe it can connect via cable.. .thats hotcakes in winter for me and many
@@AnotherCameraChannel so after updating to firmware 7.9 every braw file that I'll capture will have gyro data right? And to use that I'll eventually will have to update to Resolve 18? (which I've been a little hesitant about because I can't afford to have an unstable software)
Yes, so everything from now on with have the Gyro data in the BRAW file, so you're future proofed until you want to upgrade. Betas can be buggy so I understand, I have a bug where it'll hang mid render but will still make the file but the GUI completely locks up. I did just test the Gyro stabilisation and it actually really really good. Very Impressed
I get that but those are the studio cams and Ursa line… these are are meant to more portable so I think they need to update it eventually… A7SIII is full 4K out and doesn’t bother their Cinema line :( Just laziness from BMD to update the line
@@AnotherCameraChannel could be. Or perharps greater things to update. Now we can see the 3 possible divices where we can reccord things. CFAST, SD or USB. Without this update SD or USB was optional and it was a real shame. That new update is so underrated. About the 4K HDMI out, I really don't know if that is possible. Consider the screen that already is at the camera and its resolution. Don't know how it works but if you say it can be possible, well damn I would love to have it XD
I feel like we've all been dreaming about this possibility for years!
Let's just hope it delivers on it's promises 🤞
Dude my guy is on the next stage of his life 🎉🎉🎉 lol I was there in your F-boy happy to see you’re doing good
nice video!! we got it right on the GYRO!!!
Tastemakers for BMD R&D…
Box Camera up next? 🤔

It was confirmed that all current cameras in the pocket line have the gyro.

The biggest thing about the G2 over the 6k are the sonny batteries ant tilt up screen
More excited about the update. Improving an already dope software interface? Dope.
I've updated my 3 6K's and 1 4K, and the new interface is pretty cool! Waiting for the Beta drop tomorrow to do some gyro tests!
This video is taking off!!!
The zoom and focus devices are daisy chained together via a cable and then a single cable will connect to a computer
Thank you so much for that info!!
Ooooh... Thanks for the updates!

I hope so for my lens sake
@@JaspreetSinghArtist did also for pocket4k, just tested
It would be better if blackmagic would have made 4k 120fps - 240 fps in their 6K camera and may be also add their gyrodata or smthg like IBIS
Imagine the rolling shutter on that though everything would look like this \\\\\\\\||||/////////
So, in Prores file format camera will not record gyro data only BRAW ?
Correct, only BRAW.
I hope they also update the Ursa G2. Having Gyro stabilization on the Ursa would be revolutionairy
Is it 100% the same as the 6K PRO Body? I'm about to buy a G2 and I'm not sure if the Pro cages will work with this model.
Yes cages for the 6K Pro will work for the 6K G2!

Is anyone using gyroflow and premiere pro workflow?
Gyro data has me dizzy with excitement. I hope it works well.
Will the gyro data only in braw files or prores as well because I just updated my software to 7.9 and I can not see a switchable option?
Only in BRAW, you need the new Public Beta of 18 (just released) to use it.

It'd be really cool if you could import gyrodata directly into DaVinci Resolve for other footage.
You can try the Gyroflow OFX plugin :)
