Thanks for this video! I’m a gardener/handyman and I’ve been doing a lot more handiwork lately. This is really helpful. I have to replace two 6 x 6 tiles on the bathroom floor tomorrow and I feel pretty confident. Thanks!
everything went really well today. Thanks for the video. I did it exactly like you did using a variety of different tools and it was easy. Thanks again. 👍
Good job pal. Thats real honest home repair right there. Some videos show everything by the book with every single tool and attachment(which isn't bad if you have the means) but this is a real video of how to fix it with regular household tools
Thank you very helpful as workers have broken 4 tiles while working on my condo’s balcony. I hope I can find similar tiles and use your technique to change them :)
Exactly. The video should really be titled how to replace a cracked tile. I’m in the same situation as you. They don’t make the tiles I have anymore so need it fixed as there is no option to replace it.
Can I ask what is the name of the tile adhesive that you used? I have a tile that come loose in my house, but it's only less than 2"X2". Would you recommend to use hand or only a used credit card or so to put the adhesive on? Thank you.
Its thinset for tile, if you only have 1 or 2 times to replace you can get a small container of pre mixed at Lowe's or depot, just tell someone in the flooring dept what you're doing and they will help you👍
I have the same issue, my title is crack but I don't have the same title to replace it and no one has it in the USA. It was made in Mexico only. So Im thinking of just filling in the cracks with similar grout color. What do you think any advise?
I HAVE JUST THREE WORDS FOR YOU... Oscillating multi tool. The grout around that tile would be gone in under two minutes using this handy dandy tool with it's grout removal blade. There are so many other uses for the multi tool and that is why they call it a multi tool.
@@whirlwind8825 Hey Whirl, Here is the Websters dictionary definition of "hand tool"... a small tool (such as a hammer or wrench) that usually does not use electricity. (Operative word... usually.) The oscillating multi tool is an electric "hand tool". I get your point but I wanted others to know of a much easier, faster option. I hope you don't mind.
1:35 when you start chiseling, the adjacent tile is clearly vibrating which, to me, indicates air between the grout and tile. Should of ripped it up as well.
What a fantastic job 👍🏼👍🏼 My contractor installed a chipped tile and he says it’s not possible to replace it. You just proved that he was BSing!

Hi, Thanks so much for sharing this. Do you mind tell what is tile model you have in the video?
Sorry idk, the customer supplied the material
Hello! What type and color is this tile? This is exactly the ones I have but I can't seem to find a match in Lowe's and Home Depot.
Unfortunately I do not know
Did you ever find out which tile this is?

@@GetToThePointplz123 Thank you so much for your quick reply.
Where can I get the exact color tile? I have the same and no replacement tiles. Thanks
Idk, sorry
Did you ever source the tile? I’m in the same position too! These look exactly like mine
The hard part is finding tile that even comes close to the old one I am taking out. Any tips for finding tiles that match?
I wish I had a trick for that?, check every nook and cranny in your house, basement, garage for any leftovers from when it was put in
Which tiles are these please? Ironically they look exactly the same as tiles which I’m trying to source to repair a cracked tile!
Sorry, I have no idea
which cement use for the fixing tile
Brand name is "Custom" thinset, home depot has it
Nice job, thanks!!
Can I use the same method for bathroom floor tiles?
For sure
6:49 nobody heard him fart lmaoo
Omg 😂
Somebody stepped on a duck (Rodney Dangerfield in Caddy Shack)
it is not a fix, it is a replacement, I can not find the same tile, many years after, the tile is broken.
thanks for the help!
How long does it take to dry?
Overnight
Great. Thanks.
Thank you, especially for the woody 🪵 pecker chiseling reference 🤣🤣😂

Sure, As long as there aren't any loose pieces that would work
looks great thanks!
Thnx
How long should I wait before adding the grout?
Over night to let it dry
Thank you
Thanks brother
How would you repair the brow stuff around the tiles if it’s crack?
If you 're referring to the grout? You can scrape out the old stuff and re-grout the area. If the crack comes back you might have an install issue
Gotcha thank you and god bless you.
Put some thin set on the bottom of the tile would be better
very good
Solid 🦾🦾🦾
WHAT IS THE NAME OF THAT TILE U HAVE ON VIDEO AND WHERE DID U GET IT? SAME ONE WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Idk, they had an xtra tile there
Awesome! Great video!! Do you happen to know how I can order the same exact tiles?
I really don't, sorry
Thank you so much!!
That tile is exactly what I need, what’s the name of it?
That I don't know, sorry
Did you ever find out which tile this is?

Good video but bad title. You didn't fix anything, you replaced it.
He fixed the floor as a whole.
