Correction: When using the RP-500SA mounted on the walls as Atmos speakers, you should set the toggle switch on the back of the speaker to "Surround". The only time you use the "Atmos" switch is when they are placed on top of your mains or surrounds and are used as upfiring speakers.

hello youthman i bought klipsch rp500sa and rp502s i would like to put the 502s on the side of my sofa and the rp500sa behind my sofa at what height should i set them?
Just a little add on to how to hook up all of your speakers as you well know , it is critical to label all of your speaker wires as to what wires go to what speakers . It will save you a ton of time if you ever have to move your speakers or switch out your AVR . I see you did this and it is a must ! Fantastic video and easy to follow !! Thanks !!
I wonder if it would be cheaper to buy my local movie complex? I'll look into that.
Lmao
Nah you just have to get creative. I have zero out of pocket. Over the past 10 years I have bought / sold used audio gear, bartered web design services for new gear, DIY and finding Youthman Deals. Just have to be patient and get creative to fund it
Gotta watch the sales. I’ve got 2 12 in subs, 4 81/2 towers, 4 51/4 bookshelf speakers and the 4 41/4 center speaker and 2 41/4 height speakers; all klipsch. All said and done on Black Friday for right around $2,000.
Deals can be found if you are patient. Especially in the used market.
@@Youthman hey youthman I got a good deal on a Klipsch RP-504c center Channel and two Klipsch R-26F Floor Standing Speakers and A Klipsch R-112sw Subwoofer all for $750 Brand New! to go along with my New yamaha a2070 AVR
Man when you lifted that screen, 2 SVS PB 16 & Those Klipsch? WUT !! ? What you already got is AWESOME better than they sent you Man !! WOW what a setup, best home theater I've seen...1 question the first row home theater seats, what brand is that? those are NICE Seats, I'm looking for Quality Leather Seating. Thanks for the Dolby Atmos Info , that's my next move. AWESOME HOME THEATER, WOW !! Great video Man !!

He has another video review on those.

I was stunned by seeing ur receiver setup when u pulled out that rectangular table.... Awesome work man 🔥🔥🔥
Thank you
I remember when you had 9 subscribers.. now almost 100k!! Way to go my friend! I’m looking for a new setup and I believe this is the exact one I was looking for. Thank you for being awesome 👏🏼 I love your videos Youthman!
What? You've seriously been watching since 9 subscribers? You are an OG! That made my day. :)
@Youthman If I want my system done professionally will 400k be enough for a kick ass home theatre with no expenses spared?
That’s probably very subjective. No expense spared could be a million dollar or more home theater. Really depends on what your needs are. Are you in the US?
@Youthman Yes in the Chicagoland area. I understand. I just hope I can get a good value for the money. It's not posted on every video of how much a certain setup costs. Appreciate your input.
Reach out to me at youthmanreviews.com/sales/
I’m running a very similar setup. Using 4 rp-280f’s for the front and rear. Rp-450 c front, rp 250s for the side surround, 4 rp-140sa’s for the height channels. And the two r-115 sw’s. Have been using it for almost two years now. Absolutely love it. Have them running through a denon 6300h. Movies, music sound amazing. I highly recommend it if you have the room for them. They do take up a lot of space.
Have you blown any one of your RP-140 height speakers yet? I heard they blow easy if you pair them with the RP-280fs and a great receiver.
Jesus that's like my dream setup right there lol, I've got some ProMedia 2.1's I've had for awhile for my desktop and a cheap $200 Samsung sound bar+subwoofer for my TV lol.
Hopefully one day I'll have a bad ass setup like this.
Eh,its all relative I bought "the best" PC speaker system they had in 2004. Now,its only a good deal on ebay and not near the power of what can be hooked up now. I like it.
I had the Promedia's when I bought them my first year in college, in 2002. Its amazing how that product has existed for this long.
WOW! I LITERALLY GOT GOOSEBUMPS WHEN I SAW THIS@
Choosing Sicario for this demo was the best! You gotta love the helicopter scene with those atmos speakers! Beautiful!!!
Thanks for the description. I didn't recognize it.
This video is actually useful for the 3 people on earth who can afford this. The rest of us are just here to watch in awe.
Only 3?
@@Youthman Yeah, yourself and 2 others.
Man the new Klipsch rp line looks sweet!! I have several along with a 4 Svs speakers in my bedroom. Love to listen to music in surround mode. My favorite are the klipsch rp center channel, so powerful and clear.
I agree
Thanks for the video! Very helpful.
I'm just confused at 5:41 where you mention you have the "Dolby Atmos Rear Surround installed as height Atmos speakers." Just for clarification, are you installing them as rear surround and connecting them to rear surround connections on the AV receiver with Atmos enabled (or Surround enabled) or are you installing them as height speakers and connecting them to height connections on the AV receiver with Atmos enabled?
Also, could you switch out the 502S you installed on the Left and Right Surround with the RP-500 SA, and would you set them as Surround or Atmos if you did so?
This is actually my first comment on your channel. I have watched all your Klipsch videos. Long story short, your videos have inspired me to finally take the leap in pursuing this long dream of mine. I'm now in the process of building my own dedicated home theater room (22ft x 22ft). I would love to share the final result with you once it's complete.
Once again thank you very much for the effort you put into your videos.
Regards,
Mahmood from Bahrain (It's an island in the middle east)
Awesome glad the channel has been helpful and glad you took an opportunity to share your thoughts. Have a great weekend
Watched every second of the video and subbed but so much money invested into just a home movie experience.
What if I told you that was not my setup? It was only in for review. My setup is MUCH larger than that. Would you believe me if I told you I have zero out of pocket in the entire home theater? Here is a tour of my room ruclips.net/video/9rQxNd1Lf38/видео.html
Nice review, however I'm pretty sure the atmos switch is only to be used if they are actually doing ceiling reflection, just mounting them on the wall the AVR will give them the sounds required where the sound is in 3D space.
Thx for the info. I will check with Klipsch to verify.
Agreed. The switch turns on the filtering prescribed by Dolby for upfirers. For height use, you would want that off.
Well I am building a full Klipsch, set up, but I will be coming with 1 center rc-64 iii, 2 front left and right( being the Klipsch rf-7 iii), with 2 pairs of bookshelf’s, and 2 pairs of side surrounds, though I will probably only use about 3 sets of those, meaning I will either have 2 pairs of surrounds and 1 pair of bookshelf’s, or 2 bookshelf pairs (rp-600M) and 1 pair of surrounds rp-502S), and then a 6 in ceiling Atmos set up, but I will have to test it out, once we get the room set up. Which will probably take until early next year.
sounds like a version number.
V7.2.4 beta
Wow 😨This professional sound system will surely blow up any home💃😎
Where does this end? 12.9 channels? 24.2 channels? 100.79 Artificial ATMOS Channels? Real Scene Fan controls? VR Artificial scent Dispenser ATMOS? Vibration Reality Control Floor Panels? Hydraulic Computer Control Tilt Room??? How far is this going to go? 1,000.7 CHANNELS?
Racer you have some great ideas. You should patent them! 😂
Eventually we will stop trying to bring reality inside. We will go back outside...
Ah but what if you enjoy both. Gotcha thinking now don’t I? 😂
I like ur thoughts
@@rom116kjv I dont want to be in a warzone. I rather just hear it in a movie.
I'd have this set up over a fancy car any day. Now to convince the missus that 7.2.4 is a necessity for our living room.
Good luck!
I have a question. I got an old Yamaha avr off Craigslist for dirt cheap I can only hook it up to my tv through the tos link since it doesn't have hdmi. I also have pioneer bookshelves and center channel I got on a killer sale and an old (90s) pair of pioneer book shelves from my dad to complete my 5.0 surround set up. What do you think should be my next purchase. The fs52 pioneer towers to match the center and bookshelves, a sub (I am looking at the polk sw10), or upgrade to a more modern avr looking at pioneer and Sony mostly, probably would go with the Sony since it's cheaper and I'm on strict budget and you reviewed it and said it's perfect for starting out. I can only get one piece next month what do you think my move should be based on my set up so far.
Love the content keep it up.

Damn bro. I picked up two Def Tech BP9020s and a CS9040 center. It sounds great! Your system looks amazing.
Hey Youthman. What was the movie playing at the end?
Sicario
Great video. Very informative. One question I’ve always wanted to ask you and I’m sure a lot of people have always wondered, like in this case Klipsch has provided you with speakers for you to review now after your review is done do you ship them back to them or do they let you keep them?? I hope it’s not too much of a personal question. I hope they let you keep them LOL
hi system already way better than this set
You can’t ask that!!! Lol
Most companies give reviewers the option to buy at some level of discount.
That’s a great question. Most companies give us 60-90 Day Review period, and then they pay to have it shipped back. I can typically purchase the item at the end of the review at a discounted rate simply because they would rather not have to pay to ship it back to them and they don’t want to have to try and sell it used. There are times that I really liked the product and have worked out brand deals to make additional videos on the product beyond the review in order to keep the product.
Youthman thank you. And keep the great videos coming buddy.

No it's not but I LIVE LOVE your
HATING!!! 👍 SO IM GIVING A Disliked IN YOUR HONOR
Is there music for set ups like this?
I mean, especially trance music as example should be perfect for ceiling speakers as well to get in the middle of the music.
What does the atmos/surround switch on the speakers do? I mean, why does the speaker need to have any switches to decide where you're pointing it?! Surely the amp/receiver decides how the speakers should be equalised etc
I guess it will optimize the sound for a better performance
That’s allot of bloody speakers.
Even after all these years I’m really happy with very high quality speakers and a bad ass receiver in 5.1.
K.I.S.S.
Absolutely nothing wrong with a solid 5.1. I have always said that an improper 7.1 is not going to sound as good as a properly set up 5.1 sometimes less is definitely more.
No doubt it was a pain in thee arse getting the lighting for recording right, but sure makes a difference in your video, and looks awesome with the lights down. 👍🏻👍🏻😀
Thank you. Honestly I’m pretty new to lighting. I didn’t realize I was supposed to turn off my main lights and only use my Soft Box. Now I need to buy a few more.
Youthman 😂😂. Well it looks way better in my opinion. Maybe just one more soft box 😀👍🏻. Keep em coming. 👍🏻
@@Youthman you have one incredible awesome set up man i wish i could do that with mine. I bet that shakes the house
Thanks Duane and Kelley
Klipch my favourite home theater system sir
Great video Youthman! Klipsch Rule!
Thanks RAF!
Im getting this exact setup: 504C center, 8060FA (L/R), 502S for surrounds couples to a PC-2000 SVS Sub. The speakers will be set to small would the sub doing the heavy lifting. Would a Marantz SR7010 be enough to power all of this? Were you using a Marantz SR8012 in this video?
wow, I would love to mess with this high end stuff too :)
Hey! Can you give a speaker equipment list with model numbers just for the Klipsch Reference Speakers? I'm trying to build my own system but mis-matching on their website is confusing. I'm curious which ones specifically you used in this video. Also, are your existing LCR speakers and SVS subs active with the Reference speakers simultaneously or was this video more of a how-to install?
This is awesome, Great video man, I'm a home theatre freak
Thank you kindly. Glad you enjoyed the video
I have my 500SA mounted as FH/RH but I turned off the Atmos voodoo crossover and have the switch set to surround. I thought you are only supposed to leave it on if upfiring atmos. I did the helicopter Atmos demo with the disc and with it set to surround and it sounded like the helicopter was circling above me.
You are correct Lawrence. The manual isn’t very clear but we had some discussion / debate in one of the Klipsch Facebook groups so I reached out to Klipsch and the Product Manager said they are updating their documentation to make it more clear that the only time you should use Atmos switch is if you are upfiring and bouncing the sound off of the ceiling.
Wall mounted Atmos should be set to surround
Youthman thanks for the reply. I ended up coming to my own conclusion because the whole reason I bought this version was to turn off the Atmos crossover. My thinking was that if I would’ve had regular bookshelves (or ceiling for that matter), they wouldn’t come with Atmos crossover as they’re already up high and no need to simulate(which I have tried with poor results with 8ft flat ceilings). Thanks for all the hard work with your videos!
Youthman also yes the documentation was not clear so I’m glad you reached out to them to address it to help other people who may be confused or not know better.
Love from India 🤩❤❤
I am also an audiophile.
Thanks!
This package prize in India?
Dolby Atmos recommends direct speakers. But your set up includes side dipoles? How does this sound compared to if you used all 7 direct speakers?
Dang Youthman. It looks like Christmas came early to your house. 🙄
This is a great reference material for me as I ultimately hope to get to 7.2.4. 👍🏾
It’s certainly been fun to play with.
I been surching the net on some information hope you can help?
Im wanting to get either the svs 3000 or 4000 subs but im haveing trouble finding out if my current reviver will drive them or not.
I have a yamaha rx-v665 that i currently use or do i need to get a high end reciver like deon or Moran to drive these monsters? Please ...please let me know that way i can tell if im jumping up to svs or keeping my current setup which is a 7.2 surround sound. Very informitive videos keep up the awsome videos, i am also a audiophile and a home theater enthusiast as well to.
That is a heck of a setup there! I would love towers for the rear surrounds too lol! I know it's not permanent, but you'd really get some good sound and dynamics back there with those. Very good job explaining how to get it all setup too. I'm still jelly of that screen setup man lol
When you hooked up your side surround what setting in the back of the receiver did u use?
I’m not sure what your question is Brian. There aren’t any settings on the back of the receiver
Ah... only use the Atmos if you are using them as upfiring speakers. If you have them mounted to the wall, as height elevation or Atmos speakers, use the surround setting.
Youthman you have surround back and surround front. But to get the full effect of something going around you, to hear it front, sides and back. What do you use on the connections for the sides, there’s no surround side. Sorry I’m learning all this.
I have two side surrounds and two back surrounds. This video tour of my setup will help - ruclips.net/video/PBuHLgGkfV4/видео.html
Youthman thank you bud I appreciate it
Hello Youthman. Need your advice, I woul go for Klipsch all the way, sub would be spl-150 x2 and thinking to buy emotiva cxpa-3 to drive the front speakers. Do you think the elotiva would really help? Thank you in advance. Keep and creating videos man :)
Any reason as to why they don't use XLR or some other balanced input?
Additional cost? Plus most people do not have sub outs as those typically are on Pre/Pro’s
You are amazing man ! Bad that we are so far away from each other , Belgium is far far faaaar away .. you have a nice theater man ! Great channel and tips and tricks!! Keep going 😬😬👍👍👍
Thank you kindly.
I would love to see my wife’s reaction when she walked in and I had all those speakers in our living room. 😂
Haha
epic 😁
be sure to prepare your divorce paper first 😜
Nah I’ve been happily married now for 23yrs. When we were dating I had large speakers. She knew what she was getting into.
@@Youthman im happy for you, was just kidding of course 😊
What a sick setup they sent you
Yes, it was a very nice setup.
My movie setup is a monitor on a zvox speaker. But then my gaming setup is a down firing Yamaha sub and 2 realist audio speakers.
Hi Youthman, I like the Gas Shocks you used for the Fixed Projector Screen Ho can I get Them/ where can I buy them?
Thanks, take a look at this page for my build threads - youthmanreviews.com/about/
What “demo” was that from?
Sicario
Youthman Thanks!
335i101 sicario. I wouldn’t say it’s a demo movie, but it definitely does have demo scenes.
Just a few comments. It seems like your surround speakers are very high, does it make the sound seem like it's above you? I understand that Klipsch sent these to you, but towers as surrounds in a smaller room are massive overkill. I recently went from tower surrounds in a 5.1 setup to the RP-502S, and it was an improvement even though the cabinets are much smaller(though not small by any means). When you hooked up the RP-8060s, you're using your receiver to power them? You don't have a separate amp for your LaScalas to power your front stage? Also, does your room limit your ability to put in overhead speakers(this is holding back my room for sure, the difficulty in wiring in-ceiling speakers, the bouncy sound seems gimmicky)? Everything looks good! Keep the videos coming.
Nice but I was hoping for a longer demo.
HELLO, I HAVE JUST PURCHASED THE KLIPSCH RP6000 FII AND RP 500 M2... I ALREADY HAVE AN RC 62MKII CONTROL UNIT. IN YOUR OPINION DOES IT STILL MATCH WELL WITH THE REST OF THE SPEAKERS PURCHASED?...CAN YOU TELL ME THE PROS AND DEFECTS OF THE RC62 MK2?
Hey Youthman, what's up? I'm getting ready to install four Klipsch CDT-5800's in my 20x20 room. I run Magnepans as I'm a music aficionado but I'm including some ATMOS speakers for theater as well. I was just wondering what your distance was between your 5800's if you still have them? Are they directly above your seating, left and right of behind, distance between front and back and left and right, thoughts, regrets, plusses and minuses etc. Thanks in advance!!
My 5800C are in front and behind my front row. No regrets. I used the speaker layout recommendations for proper Atmos angles here www.dolby.com/about/support/guide/speaker-setup-guides/#gref
its a bit much for eastenders here in the UK
Your setup is amazing !
I'm jealous.
I've got 5.1 Klipsch on order.
Can't wait for them to come in
Oh and im subscribed now!
Thanks and double thanks! In case you haven’t seen it, here is my latest tour - ruclips.net/video/PBuHLgGkfV4/видео.html
The speaker porn has got to stop
Lucky you. I have a very scaled down version of a 7.1 configuration. I didn’t learn much from this video because there is no way I could ever get such huge speakers that take up so much space.
Yes, so if you thought your soundbar was nice, take it outside and burn it.
You mean burn it inside and use the insurance money to afford the entire theater setup so the 7.2.4 makes sense.
And just like that a beautiful home theatre looks like an 80's 20 something's first apartment!
Next time I'll consult with you on my design choices.
@@Youthman Probably for the best, lol! sounds amazing! Im sure it sounds amazing!
This is neat but I guess is you If I have to ask I can’t afford it 😂
So how did the new Klipsch speakers sound compared to the ones you had? They look pretty sharp. Did the Klipsch subs perform better than the SVS? Also, what exactly does the “ATMOS/Surround” switch do on the rear height speakers? Good video
9:40 The Technics SB-M1 speakers are the beast I ever seen in my whole life , my neighbors old man past away last month his daughter showed me 2 brand new Technics SB-M1 in the box never used or touched she inherited them from the old man who kept them in his bedroom closet all those years I wish I can buy them she want $4k for them which super good deal 😢
Very good video, must of been a lot of work on your end and did you change anything on the mic because it sounded better?
Thanks. This was a 3 day process for this video which is why it’s been almost a week since the last one. I’m using the same mic (Zoom H4n Pro). Probably will buy a wired mic since I don’t like the sound when I’m not close to the mic (Wide shots)
My bosses son had a set of these delivered to the workshop for his house before Christmas. I could not believe the price he told me they were 😲😲😲. Never heard of them till then. Now im seeing them everywhere
Hi Youthman, to which speaker connector on your receiver did you connected the Atoms upfiring speakers which are on top of Front speakers ?
Incredible setup. But what's the point in having two subs if you put them next to each other? And doesn't your room shake too much?
This was an amazing guide, thank you! But I’ve been doing some research before starting my own setup and I found that most “affordable” AVRs can’t fully power more than two speakers without having to decrease the power for the rest of the setup. So for this setup is that Marantz really enough to power ALL of that? I’m just so confused on how I should choose my future AVR. For reference, my setup will probably be a 5.1.2 system.
I have the marantz with pre out so you can choose to add power amps. It gets really hot, even with power amps...
That’s not true at all.
Curious what you feel isn’t true at all
@@Youthman about “affordable” AVRs not being able to power a HT setup. It is dependent on what AVR you’re using, if you have it as a pre-amp out so each speaker can have their own power amp, or whatever. The Marantz you have looks to me like what, the 7015? That’s a $3K(ish) reserved. That should be enough to powers something less sensitive like Klipsch.
If you re-read his comment, he stated they can’t “fully” power a system without decreasing the power to the other speakers. That is 100% true but not just for affordable AVR’s but also higher end AVR’s as well. The more speakers you add, the less wattage per speaker.
You can certainly power an entire system with an AVR. You just can’t buy a 140wpc AVR and get anywhere near 140wpc when you have 5, 7, 9 or 11 speakers.
Can i use the standing front speakers with the upfire atmos speakers built in in the back too ? Or would this be overkill ? Sorry for the bad english and i'm also a noob in things of home cinema.
Question : is this setup also good when you don't have a house and maybe only can use medium dB levels in a flat?
Those subs really got me scared to buy the stuff, as my neighbours will think the roof comes crashing down on them, I would expect.
Youthman, love the videos! Have a few questions. We are building a new home here and need some questions answered about a whole new room for our theater. Thanks !
I have two questions for you? Can you use 3-way stereo speakers as your front left and right speakers ( 12" woofers ). The second question is can you take RP 600m speakers put them on a Shelf 16 in from the ceiling and have a simular sound as the atmos speakers? The reason I'm asking is I only have one set of Atmos speakers and my amp has plenty of power to supply everything what should I buy a second set of Atmos speakers?
You can use any three speakers as LCR. You can use bookshelf speakers as height speakers. Just aim them towards your listening position. It won’t be exactly the same as having speakers directly above you but it will still give a good Atmos effect.
@@Youthman Thank you for your reply.
Nice setup. But you're running only 140 watts max receiver when it powers only 2 speakers; yet you have essentially 6 surrounds (2 of which are monster towers) and three monster speakers (2 of which are monster towers) in the front? Do you get enough power to all the speakers?
Having a dedicated power amp is always a good thing. However the AVR had absolutely no issues powering this system at Reference volume due to their efficiency. Speakers with a lower efficiency would likely require an amp.
So first off fantasic equipment man hats off to your collection. My question however is I noticed that when you were showing your back receiver connections you didnt have anything plugged into the ARC and I thought that was the only way to get ATMOS. If I am mistaken in my understanding please feel free to correct me and if that is just native to that receiver off of any connection than thats a must have for sure.
Great question. I do not use ARC (Audio Return Channel) since I have a projector and do not need audio going to or coming from my projector.
Hey Youthman! What's the size of your HTR (Home Theater Room)? What size of room would you recommended for a new beginner? thanks in advance!
My room is 13’ x 19’ with 10’ ceilings
thanks brother!
You bet
Hey Youthman! I have Klipsch R-115SW as my sub and i was wondering, when you did the Audyssey for the whole system, how did you put the settings behind the subs? And now i mean the crossover setting, did you turn it all the way to max = LFE and let the amp do the calibration, or did you leave it to somewhere between 40-80Hrz..? BTW, if you want to REALLY test those Klipsch subs, try the 2014 Godzilla, it has so much of deep bass...really worth trying :D
As part of this configuration find that the Klipsch r28fs either Atmos or straightforward are extraordinarily fine speakers for this sort of setup front or rear position
Yeah, i got a Pioneer VSX 922K and thought that was awesome, cost me 100 GBP never managed to offord decent speakers, ended up blowing 4 sets of random speakers pouring smoke at full volume unbelivably powerfull, but ive never managed to harness it :(
Id LOVE that system, the clarity and bass and theatre of the system must be unreal
Unfortunately if you ran your receiver still full volume, the receiver began to clip which caused the speakers to distort and distortion will easily blow a speaker. No matter how amazing your speakers are, if you turned your receiver to full volume, you would fry them too.
Killer setup you have! Looking to get my own small home theater setup but I’m not even sure where to start honestly
Dude got the premium speakers behind that screen damn!
If you like those, I've made significant upgrades since 4 years ago when I made this video. You can see what I have currently behind the screen in this video - ruclips.net/video/AubrsBu-2nU/видео.html
RP-8060FA wicked speakers 🔊
very perfect. how much budget is needed to install this system?
$6500
And now you are speechless. HAHAH its too funny! Have great day, man.
That setup is pretty insane.
It sounds fantastic too
I think ear will settle after some time from these speakers .. if you have 8 speaker like flowing places
1. Front Right top
2. Front Right bottom
3. Front left top
4. Front left bottom
5. Back right top
6. Back right bottom
7. Back left top
8 back left bottom
9. Subwoofer top
10 subwoofer bottom
Such 3D sound system you can identify sound coming from and ear can’t settle down .. try this for thunder storm sound from top only and walk sound from bottom location
I was wondering where in the receiver did you plug in the 2 seperate wire terminals? I'm just now building a home theater, and I'm struggling a little bit.
As my daily driver I'm using RP-160M and R-115SW as 2.1 setup
What you would suggest for amp? Right now using Onkyo TX-8150 and I'm really dissatisfied, especially with audible power transformer and REAL bad Bluetooth
Not to mention sounding rather flat, not really anything to write home to, especially when I like music with punch
@ Youthman frHi i have a pair of Icon VF35 that i bought a while ago as my first speaker and I'm looking to upgrade to some R26FA atmos speakers but wanted to know if i can use the VF 35 as surrounds in the back or do i need atmos specific speakers to get the atmos sound out of the surround. Thank you!
Hy, could you please tell me, how strong and long are the gas struts you use? Nice room :)
Unfortunately these were not purchased by me, but rather my friend who built the cabinet. The link that I had in my build thread to the shocks he used is no longer active.
I will need to do some research to find a replacement because mine are just now beginning to not fully support the weight of the screen and need replacing
This is what I was looking for, not that I don't know how to setup speakers but because it's fun to watch someone build a surround home theater setup! Thanks Youthman! I'm rockin' a 7.2.2 Polk Audio surround setup rn with Dolby Atmos coming in the future, don't have the money to buy 9.2 channel receiver yet!
That’s awesome! Just build it slow and steady and enjoy the journey along the way
Youthman. Got a question for you. With the subwoofer be better on the floor or behind the screen ? Thanks
Every room acoustics is different. The only way to know is to take measurements using REW and a calibrated mic like the miniDSP UMIK-1
@@Youthman will do. Thanks for the reply. I just wanted a general idea because I was gonna buy a non perforated screen if the subwoofer might as well be on the floor. I'll just have to wait
Best home theater setup 👍🏻
I'm a newbie so a dumb question. I have the Klipsch towers with built in up-firing speakers. In the video I did not see how those were connected to the receiver given that they require 2 sets of speaker wires.
No problem Jim. On the back of the speaker there is a top set of binding posts (black and Red) and a bottom set (black and red connections).
The top red and black would be connected to your Front Atmos or Front Height connection on your AVR.
Let me know if you have any additional questions
Can you use the upfiring speakers with speakers wired to the roof will we have interference
Hello youthman, I love the videos. Quick question. I’m going to be doing a 7.2.4, with 4 of the klipsch in ceiling for the the atmos speakers. Where do the ceiling speakers get hooked into the receiver. I will be using a Yamaha RX 3080.
Hi, looking at the rear of your receiver, it. Should be the Extra Sp 1 and Extra Sp 2. The only problem is your receiver is a 9.2 channel so you will not be able to process a 7.2.4 system because that is 11 channels. You would need an 11.2 receiver if you want a 7.2.4 system.
You should be able to do a 5.2.4 or a 7.2.2 setup with your receiver. I personally would go with a 5.2.4 over a 7.2.2 configuration.
Youthman awesome, thank you very much for the quick reply.
Glad to help
Best fiim for sound affects is Rambo
the fight continues.... Robert De Niro
Heat..... Amazing... It will blow your mind
Watched every single one of your home theater video. Love it. Question: if I wall mount the RP-500SA (Rear Atmos) do I need to flip the switch to surround at the back of the speaker?
Yes!! I think the same. The switch in Atmos is only when bounce the sound whit the ceiling. In this case is Surround.
Jorge is correct. Atmos only when upfiring
What a dream setup...
It definitely would make a fantastic home theater system
Total praise sr.
Did you not do any acoustic treatment? I haven't even made it one minute into the video, and all I know is I can hear your voice echoing off the walls like CRAZY.
The room has acoustic treatment and is very quite but not "DEAD". Prior, my room had a NASTY slap echo. Completely gone now. If your room doesn't have any reverb (echo), it will sound dull and lifeless as our natural surroundings have reverb. Here is a video on the acoustic treatment - ruclips.net/video/zK1xAWaUirw/видео.html
I am thinking of building 6.1ch with the following speakers.
The surround and surround back woofers are smaller than
the front, so I'm worried that it won't lack power.
Please advise if i can enjoy with this spec.
C : klipsch r-52c
F : klipsch r-620f
SL/SR:klipsch r-41sa
SW: klipsch r-100sw
SB : klipsch r-34c
AV : denon x-1600h
Intended use:70% of Movies and 30% of Music
Room size:265(6.5m)×143(3.5m)
The seat is installed in the center of the room.
Thanks
