What is the distance between front and rear atmos inceiling speakers? 3. How does the atmos system work in such a small room? Can you hear the difference between normal 7.2 and 7.2.4 set? 4. Have you tried to move the subwoofers to different locations for better bass or you are satisfied with what it sounds in current place? 5. Don't you have problems with room acoustics in such a small non- treated room? I am preparing myself for building an HT room which is 15x10x9 (L x W x H) and I was wondering if it is not too small for 5.2.4 system. But if it works for you in substantially smaller room, then I go all the way with my project :-)
Well, those speakers have keyhole slots so a drywall anchor and screw would work. With mine I used articulating 13" LCD tv mounts with matching black walnut boards to place mine in my unusually shaped livingroom. It looks and sounds phenomenal.
why are the ceiling speakers so close together? There is only like 2 feet apart from them back to front. shouldn't ones be in the back, then the other ones be towards the front of the room?
Would have used banana plugs to connect my speakers to the receiver, I have that receiver, best one I ever bought for my 7.2.2, used banana plugs and cable pants, all tagged, looks really organized.
I have a Sony receiver, and just upgraded all of my speakers to a Klipsch atmos setup, and did just that. Same speaker wire finally for all of the speakers, and banana plugs with pants on both ends. It just makes it so much cleaner and easier to work with. If you’re going to spend more than $5K just on your speakers, it’s the little detail things that make it that much better.
For the atmos-effects, where do you have to put the klipsch 500sa? Only above the front speakers or can they also hang on the wall above the front speakers?
Cheaped out on that mount, kid is super strong hanging that 75" TV. I did a 65" and almost dropped it, next time I'll get help. Way overkilled in that small room. How do you hang those wall speakers on the faceplates? Is it stable without falling when the two subs blasting away?

I have a sony sound bar 3.1 system. I want to upgrade it into a 7.1 system. Please guide me what harware I need. I think, I have to add 4 satellite speakers along with a 4 channel class d amplifier along with HDMI/SPDIF to 7.1 channel decoder. Is it possible to do that setup?
I have the subwoofer from this kit, hooked to a pioneer av/tower speakers. Let me tell you that the quality of the bass is insane. Talk about chest pounding.
Question So my room look like the one in this video might be a touch wider though So my theater chair is right in the middle eye sight straight to the TV screen The set up I’m thinking of doing for the room but I like to know the high speakers should I do bi-po/do-po left and right high up to the corner of ea wall all the way around with 1 Height speakers in center high up front and 1 in the back as well So I want 3 Height speakers L/C/R near the wall touching close to the ceiling front and Back wall that way the whole ceiling sounds of Dolby Atmos my question is should I do all height speakers or mix them with the other speakers I just mentioned above. Also my L/R ear level speakers will be Bi or Di Po design there will be no Rear speakers behind me except the ceiling/wall ones The front stage is the easy part L/C/R The Receiver will be that new one from Emotiva 11.1 I want to use all the channels The subwoofer will be Klispch 16” overkill maybe lol I live in a house with hardwood floors through out all speakers will either be Emotiva or Klispch brand to save money Anyway the question is on the wall/ceiling Should I go 6 height speakers 3 front 3 rear? Or L/R surrounds bounce of the corners ea Walls keeping the height speakers in the middle Front wall and back wall? I hope you can understand what I’m saying lol Sorry if I spelled wrong
You should look into to how to do bass management. Those two subs at the front will basically act like a single large sub and give you unbalanced bass in the room.
Question I also have the Klipsch speakers in two subs I have a question on the subs as my Subs will just stick on and become non-responsive every so often and I have to unplug it and plug it back in is this just me on my particular sub or is this something that's common across Klipsch and most importantly how do I resolve it thank you

How high are your surround speakers from the floor as I think mine are too high looking at this to my atmos ceiling speakers are room dimensions are 18 ft long x 15ft wide
Hello I have a Pioneer VSX 933. In every advertisement as well as on the packaging you can see "Dolby Atmos" in the ad. Can you tell me what I should do to see it on my device? Already have two BluRay's with sound in Dolby Atmos, but it is not shown. All devices are connected with HDMI cables. I cannot select it with the remote control either. What am I doing wrong? Does it matter which HDMI input on the AV-R I plug it in?

I gotta say I’m a bit addicted to watching your videos right now and I can see you guys do great installations. The one thing that I feel let’s the whole thing down is a lack of theater. The spaces are very bland with no sense of going to a mini cinema. I know it’s s subjective thing and not nearly as important as great visual and audio but it’s nice to have an exciting space to go with the movie.
I completely agree with you on that! I suppose it's the clientele he receives. I find it funny that the amount of money that these customers have and the size of their homes, they didn't choose a more suitable place to have this installed. Take this one for instance, who in their right mind would install a Christmas tree of a server rack on the same room wall that the customer would be viewing whatever on that screen? I would have expected a company as "professional" as they are to mention that to the client and at least have the cables run to the backside of the room (worst case scenario) so it then frees up the front not making it look like you installed it in a closet, and install 20K of equipment to say you have a "home theater". IMO, I wouldn't consider that a properly designed setup. 2 Subs for a room that size is ridiculous, but I guess they got more money out of them. The surround speakers are installed incredibly low.

I always thought surround tweeters should should be 2 to 2 and 1/2 feet higher than your ear in your listening position? You don't want the sound hitting you directly. You want it to sound like it's coming across you.
Nope. Discrete sound is the entire purpose of a 5.1/7.1 setup. People prefer diffused sound for the rears because of the distraction while watching but tweeters should be as close to ear height as possible. That's why floowstanders are usually 1m tall. Ear height when seated.
@@dalechalfont112 Interesting. I'm reading the opposite everywhere saying you want the tweeters higher as to not be able to locate exactly where the sound is coming from and give all other listeners the ability to hear them without being blocked by the closest person. I have mine set up that way and I'll see my wife look around all the time when stuff is happening behind her because it's moving around us instead of at us.
@@BloopsnBleeps the only time someone would recommend that is if they had multiple rows of cinema seats, large dense leather high back chairs that block sound far more than a persons heat ever could and especially block sound from the back and because the rows are spaced for leg comfort then there would be no primary listening position, basically a nightmare scenario for sound as regular cinemas are. Less than 1/00th of a percent of home theatres would be like that. Most people have a single row, 3-5 seats so even when all seats are occupied the centre, fronts, rears and ceiling speakers all point towards the primary listening area totally unobsctructed, and in this instance the ear level side surrounds simply sound even better to those in the closest seats. Speakers are not a laser pointer. Where the dot goes isn't where all the sound goes. Even the narrowest dispersion speakers sound amazing within a 30 degree arc, so even with ear level surrounds in the side plenty of sound is going into the room, a persons head in the side of you will make it less direct but not less direct than having the speakers a foot higher or more on the walls, especially if the speakers on the walls are just pointed into the room and not angled down. Speakers have an on axis and off axis response, the further away from being pointed at you the quiter they are. Speakers mounted above ear position are going to sound quieter than ear level side surrounds even with someone next to you. Take your centre speaker which for most people points straight into the room, probably at waist height on a cabinet, then put something under the front of it so it angles directly towards your ear height and the difference ia night and day. Putting speaker above ear height is even worse if your walls are closer because the angle from your ears to the speakers is steeper. If your walls are 4 feet away and you put them 1 foot above ear height pointing perpendicular from the wall straight into the room then they will sound probably 30% quieter and significantly less direct than at ear level. Having all speakers at war height means than 11 speakers in a 7.1.4 setup are aimed directly at you with maximum benefit when listening long and that 9 speakers are aimed directly at you with maximum benefit when having people either side of you in a single row and even then the side surrounds would sound better than habing all surrounds above ear height. It's eithet that or having all surrounds not aimed directly at you and not with maxium benefit 100% of the time. If diffuse sound and not directionality is your aim then skip 7.1 orr 7.1.4 sound and just get a 5.1 setup with dipole speakers for side surrounds slapped half way up the wall for the maximum cinema experience...literally that's what they do.
Denon are really nice. I have the 4400h but that's last years model. The 4500h is the replacement. Or you could go with Marantz. I had Yamaha's in the past but hated their room correction and UI, they are not user friendly to set up nor have the good features Denon and Marantz have. Hope this helps
Arckanum- yes that’s helps a lot. Marantz seems to get a lot of love. I just want to make sure its gonna put out enough power so i can crank the volume without distortion.
@@chrisd6736 i have 8000fs with 504c and 502s denon x6500h, got it for 1350$ and cdt 5800 for atmos. 5.2.4. It turned out Superb. my room is pretty large 22x 20. i recommend go with 504c centre channel and Surround RP 250 OR 502S.
I don’t understand how you’re mounting the surrounds? I thought there was a keyhole for a screw on the unit itself and you would need to anchor a screw into the drywall. I’m doing those same surrounds in a day or two and confuseddd as helllll mannnn
Only thing I can see that’s wrong with it is the rack is going to be removed later then the tv isn’t going to be centered right which means once he gets rid of it he’s going to have to get the tv recentered and then cover the holes in the wall one of those things he should have either waited on or maybe had the rack put in the shelf the center speaker is on something
Salve, le klipsch R 820 F che tipo di attacco porta dietro? Jack a banana o fili rosso e nero?? Perché io nel soggiorno ho attacchi a muro con filo rosso e nero attendo info grazie
I completely agree with you. that is way to much speaker for that little room. heck his rack takes up half of it. Also did you notice the placement of his surrounds? have to sit 5 feet away for proper placement plus the half the speaker is pointing back at the screen.
How much does this home theatre system cost? I am a huge fan of Klipsch speakers and sub-woofers. Can you give me a break-up of all items along with the installation?
You can probably look at the price of equipment online. One of the home theatre installers I checked in north texas quoted $1300 for the labor which includes running all the wires behind the drywall.
You are the experts, but the 4 atmos speakers are too close. You should move the seating position closer to tv and set middle atmos in line with the viewer legs. I doubt that now that close by could diferentiate back and the middle. or if I am wrong, please correct me
Hey bro I am from India does your support installation you can do in India also? I really like the sounds clarity it's a perfect awesome I like this model home theatre 😉👍👌
Glad to find the channel. We are considering moving to North Dallas. Awesome to see so many homes built with dedicated theater rooms. Do you do build-outs kind of like what youthman has? Such as the way he has a screen and the equipment underneath the screen?
Why didn’t you use banana plugs it’s easier and you don’t have to worry about speaker wire deterioration at the connection also why not change the wiring out to pure copper wire better sound less interference since your over pricing that system even though 3/4 of the price is installation I have pretty much the exact same set up for my up stairs sound room
from a business standpoint, customers sometimes bump and move the unit and banana plugs can back out. We get called saying their speakers arent working.... Its an easy step that we just mitigate by using firm solid connections.
@Winter Solstice I am not sure what you mean by "problems". The point of the original commenter and myself is more concerned with getting flat frequence response across the spectrum and reverb time that makes our music and movies sound as close to the way the studio engineers intended. That is not going to happen in the room in the video above or in a room with a too small dimensions for its subwoofers low end response.
yep it'll sound boomy and lacks sound seperation.. Replace the tower speakers for bookshelf speakers on stands would be the first thing.. as they'll be ample bass especially with the 2 subs. the subs likely would sound better if there was one at the front and another at the rear. or 2x 10 inch subs instead of the 12 inch ones..
Dreamedia Home Theater First, thank you for the reply/comment. Secondly I really enjoy your channel. Very cool, and informative, I like seeing the different setups.

Dale Chalfont how much sound should the rears be kicking out compared to sides sorrounds
Anyone have any recommendations for an amp/AVR? I’m building a 5.1 system with the 8000Fs... 🔈 🔊
All in one day? woow!
I don’t understand how you’re mounting the surrounds? I thought there was a keyhole for a screw on the unit itself and you would need to anchor a screw into the drywall. I’m doing those same surrounds in a day or two and confuseddd as helllll mannnn
One day this system will be mine 🥰
"Caraca" Se eu tivesse grana... incrível!
where to get dolby atmos movies ?
For the best Quality 4K BluRay Disc. Other than that,Most streaming services should have it on certian titles
Good stuff! No more going out to the movies! 😅
There is one thing even the best home Cinema can not replicate , the group collective energy of the cinema audience sharing in the film experience.
It should’ve been moved to the closet before the install was done. Or, the tv should’ve been mounted on the opposite wall.
hi mate what receiver did you use for setting up this?
rejeev vasu it’s shown at the beginning. An Onkyo.
Salve, le klipsch R 820 F che tipo di attacco porta dietro? Jack a banana o fili rosso e nero?? Perché io nel soggiorno ho attacchi a muro con filo rosso e nero attendo info grazie
Why would you put that much sound and $$ in a "closet"?
I completely agree with you. that is way to much speaker for that little room. heck his rack takes up half of it. Also did you notice the placement of his surrounds? have to sit 5 feet away for proper placement plus the half the speaker is pointing back at the screen.
Small 7.1 would be perfect for that room.
just thought the same xD
@@mcclain147 yes and because they're so low down the wall the customer / home owner would have to sit on cushions / beanbags..
@@johna8921 5.1.2 Would be optimal for that size room.. Certainly a case for less is more..
What is the overall costing
Nice job. Why not use the 504C? Go as big as you can with the center.
I doubt that now that close by could diferentiate back and the middle. or if I am wrong, please correct me
How did you set the gain up on the dual subs ,
Set them to 11
Who will use it more for music rather than movies like
@@kirayamato1722 Stereo mode would be decent or pure direct
it looks great. such big sound in a small room.
Hey bro I am from India does your support installation you can do in India also? I really like the sounds clarity it's a perfect awesome I like this model home theatre 😉👍👌
USA only
What type of cables are you using for the speakers?
You ship worldwide? I'm from Spain
Well done! The saying goes ( you get what you pay for ).
Glad to find the channel. We are considering moving to North Dallas. Awesome to see so many homes built with dedicated theater rooms. Do you do build-outs kind of like what youthman has? Such as the way he has a screen and the equipment underneath the screen?
I wish I had one of em, You're Awesome Mate :) :) Keep doin it forever.
Love the setup just the tv looks to small, the owner should had go with the 85 inch tv. I bet the home teacher sounds amazing.
Actually the setup is for a 100 inch home theater
This is the first time I am seeing you video. Good job Bro ✌💪 nice presentation 🌷💪I started to subscribe you & I am for Kerala ,India
i'm also a keralite
@@lnzboys9556 Kerala where?
Any outlet of Klipsch product here in the Philippines?
Fico da hora...Massa.
Great work soundtrack too.
another great video...thanks guys...from the UK...
Don't u think this room is to small for this great audio system?
Uhh no?
yeah ... we should re-enforce the room with more steel frames.
Good job 👍🏼❤️, Is there any chance you can be in Saudi Arabia?
Appreciate the work and the video for sure, but to me, that room screams 5.1 or 5.2
You're pretty handy with that sawing knife Zack 🗡
No amps to help power all those speakers?
Klipsch dont really need external power, but it could be upgraded later if the customer wanted it
Que feliz sería en ese trabajo. Ojala poder emprender aqui en España... Pero ni idea por donde empezar....
This system for sure is going to be loud but is going to sound very bad. No room treatment and subwoofers in such a small room not a good combination.
@Winter Solstice Obviously, you don't understand soundwaves and acoustics.
Have you guys done any SVS Ultra Installs? if not, can't wait to see a video with one
Not yet. we are still trying to get our svs account setup with their headquarters.
Dreamedia Home Theater First, thank you for the reply/comment. Secondly I really enjoy your channel. Very cool, and informative, I like seeing the different setups.
Bro you got skills!
HI what was the size of the room
From where to buy this all set klipsch speakers...
We sell and ship these speakers in the USA
Nice soundtrack 👂🏾👏🏾
