The older I get the more magical the world becomes to me. I’m 35 but am starting to slowly understand how my father, and long passed grandfather could just sit peacefully on their back deck looking off into nature and watching things like butterflies and kittens with amazement. Maybe that’s one possible blessing of aging, realizing how awe inspiring and magnificent this existence can be.
I think you’re right, and I also suspect we all have that ability in us, but many people never stop to cultivate it. I hope another possible blessing of aging is to get a different perspective on precisely things like nature and time and develop a deeper sense of wisdom. It’s not a given but maybe a potential 🌺
My first time visiting a Scandinavian place was also in May, and that will forever stay in my core memory as one of the best times in my life. It was not in Denmark but I find it had more or less the same vibes as those in this video.
Hi Helle. Thank you for providing such a beautiful tour. I really appreciate your videos. Thank you. Big hug from Portugal hello helle. Thank you for providing such a beautiful tour. I really appreciate your videos. Thank you.
Oh my word - I was in Denmark on prayer day and sadly we had to leave the next day. One of my very favourite sights was the field of yellow rapeseed. Thank you for another awesome video.
Your May looks like our month of June in Nova Scotia, Canada. That's when our lilacs bloom. I just found you and enjoy learning about your beautiful country and way of life. Thank you for sharing!
Hello , such a lovely scenic drive in the country, also the beautiful garden you visited, loved seeing the lilac trees, i have a couple, but they didn’t flower for some reason, hoping this season they will flower. Thank you pamela hall
The romantic garden....this sounds and looks like a place I would want to visit(if not live) Thank you Helle, for showing us how/ what May feels like/ is in " your part of the world" That opening poetic line, 'punched' me
Truly beautiful Helle. Like nature, your videos continue to blossom. Maybe sometime in the summer, I would love to see a video in the evening, maybe at a restaurant, so we could see Danish food and socialising. If not maybe you could cook a typical Danish dish. If not, then just carry on with what you are doing because I love these videos !! 🐦
Brian, thanks so much for your comment and your suggestions. I’ll see what I can do ☺️ Also thanks for embedding a suggestion in a compliment - a rare talent - and the easier to embrace 🌷
Love the Lilac path!!!! Recently discovered that lilac tea from flowers has amazing longevity studies. Our forefathers knew things. (They drank and they knew things -lol)
@@danishmusings First heard this from Dr. David Sinclair, some kind of leading edge Age Reversal and Health Scientist. Then I found that all cultures have and still do harvest Lilac flowers for tea, tincture and other uses. Bathing, etc. Sooo interesting. :)
So happy your channel popped into my vision, I love driving taking in the views. I was widowed at 46 now I'm 64 oh look at those numbers 😮 anyway I am very content to be alone but not lonely, I have a busy as I want life, I walk everyday in the woods, I play with my grandson and make pottery when i can, knit and go motor ike riding with my brother on a ike that is older than both of us 😊 thank you for such thoughtful and beautiful videos.
Lovely as always. Now I know if but the chance arrives I must visit in the spring. I'm not sure I could survive the winter but Denmark seems lovely right now.
Thank you, Jason, and yes, your best bet, should you ever visit Denmark, is probably May-June, though July-August is also a decent period (but to my mind, the greenness of everything is most ‘unspoiled’ and lovely right now) 😌🌱
Oh my goodness, the magic of your videos! It reminds me to get outside and experience nature in my own little corner of the planet although I have to say a hedge of lilac is surely hard to beat. ❤
Thanks for your kind words 🌷 I totally agree with you on the lilac hedge, but at this time of year I’ll take what I can get; it seems unfathomable to me every winter that spring will come around again. But it is nigh 😍 Hope you get to enjoy nature wherever you are 🌿
May is lovely, isn't it. It was 30C in Chicago on the 20th of May and today only 13C. Crazy. I never gave much thought on the time it takes to upload. Downloads seem so quick. Thanks for the drive and the tour of the beautiful villages and park, Helle. Your vlogs always give me a lift. The back roads are the best.
Thanks so much, Marcus 💚 That’s a huge shift in temperature. Similar to here where we went from 25C last week to 15C yesterday. So glad to know a video of mine can give you a tiny lift 😌😻
you mentioned while going shopping somewhere that you like some German creams? wondering if you like Dr. Hauschka or Dr. Annemarie Boerlind? Both are excellent choices, Lucky for me I can purchase them both at our Whole Foods Market, Please do some more shopping while filming, love to see all the groceries and knickknacks.
There are some; I’m pretty sure I captured a white one in my latest video, but some species are sadly disappearing 😔 Could also be due to changing temperatures and too much agriculture as opposed to just wild meadows etc.
A few questions...are your power lines all buried underground? Your skyline seems to have no electricity lines or poles along the roadways as we have here je Canada. And you obviously get very little frost in the ground as your roadways are so smooth, no frost heaving of the pavement evident at all.

Everywhere I've been in May has been glorious. My favorite month. When I rule worlds, there shall be two Mays per year.

What a beautiful hike. I was fortunate to visit Switzerland many years ago. Your trip reminded me that I do need to return.
Oh my word - I was in Denmark on prayer day and sadly we had to leave the next day. One of my very favourite sights was the field of yellow rapeseed. Thank you for another awesome video.
Beautiful. Your comments are just the same as mine in England . The gloom of winter , is endless.
Thank you, Linda. Yes, we need to make an effort every winter, I feel. Let’s agree to enjoy things now then 😌🌼

Oh, really? I did not know that! I’ll try to remember this summer when the lilacs in my own garden bloom. Thank you 💜

So many flowering trees and bushes, but are there no butterflies in Denmark?

Hm, it depends, I think. I tend to find the most scenic places, so try to avoid all signs of Industry etc 😅🙈
You work a lot for these videos, Do you have children?
Yes - on both counts. But my children are no longer small; my youngest is 15, so they often do their own thing ☺️
Har boet på Østfyn hele mit liv, jeg har aldrig hørt om den have før. Ser så skøn ud🪻
