Congratulations on your teacher training certification! I normally surf the waves of mindfulness quite well, however …. today I found I got dumped 😱 so it was lovely to come home pick up my knitting, watch the sunset and enjoy your marvelous musings. Thanks for sharing, it always bring such joy to my heart and Findus is adorable 🥰
Thanks Helle for this beautiful reminder of the importance of the present moment. I try to stay focused on the here and now, and choose joy. Dwelling in the past isn’t good for me - we lost our son 20 months ago - and fearing the future (aging) isn’t good either. Although both the past and the future are part of our lives, I believe we live it more fully by cherishing the present moment. ❤
I am so sorry to hear that; my heart goes out to you 🩷 And I completely agree with what you say here: Our happiness and peace lie not in what happens in our lives but what we make of what happens. All the best 😘
We had a slow/delayed spring in Oregon this year. Your video reminded me I wrote this in my notes several weeks back "This time spring did not burst forth out of nothing, instead slowly seeping into being over weeks and months. Ice and cold rain mixed with falling petals from the first blooming trees. Tulips sent up shoots and buds, but withheld their blooming. Trees, usually seething with green by now, retain their winter austerity. But slowly, spring does arrive like a watercolor painting softly bleeding into white paper. And we wait, trying to be patient, to see the good in a prolonged winter." I love the lilacs too. The best fragrance on earth.
How utterly divine and calming. And Congratulations to you. My father came to the US in 1925. My sister and I intend to get over there one day. But videos like this show me such beauty, so it keeps me going till the day of that trip. Blessings to you.
Thank you for sharing some beautiful moments with us. Spring is fleeting and must be enjoyed moment by moment. Here in Alaska we anticipate the moment when the Sandhill Cranes return in April. Now we see them strutting across people's yarns and flying lazily while announcing their presence with their unique call. Now we watch for baby moose, so long legged and chocolate brown. We have yet to have leaves on the trees and I admit to feeling jealous when seeing all the green and flowers in your video. But there is a green haze around the birches. The cottonwood grove surrounding my house is releasing it's resinous buds and the scent that is my favorite in the world. Thank you for the reminder to enjoy each of these precious and fleeting moments in spring!
I’m glad I came across your channel! I live in Canada, and seeing all those lilacs made me swoon. I could smell them. I have a few in my current yard & plenty of babies to tend to. Gardening is my greatest therapy , and my best practice for mindfulness. I have a cat that loves to walk with me, but not like findus. What a pleasure to journey with such a glorious creature 🖤😊
Your videos are a meditation for me. Your words resonate so profoundly. Thank you for reminding me of what I learned from Eckhart Tolle and the book that changed my life A New Earth. Congrats on your diploma. I could almost smell the lilacs. Looking forward to your next story😊
The lilacs were beautiful to see & how I would love to have so many in my garden! They are also one of my favorites. Thank you for sharing these moments of calmness & beauty.
Nice to see another lovely calming video from you 🙂 Thank you for voicing/sharing your thoughts, sometimes they are like a light bulb moment. Congratulations on passing your exam.
What an enjoyable video! Loving your walks and talks! How wonderful to have a cat that you can go on walks with! I adore lilacs but they don't thrive in my neck of the woods (South Australia) so it was delightful to see such an abundant display of their lovely blooms, I can only imagine the perfume. I am heading over to Denmark in a couple of weeks to visit family, I can hardly wait! Thanks again for your insightful videos.
I took a 200 hour yoga teacher training course 1.5 years ago. It was so much fun and I love the Yamas and Niyamas for a simple guide to life. I love yoga! I am hoping to love knitting as much! I enjoyed your talk about the passing of time and the marking of time.
Congratulations on getting your Diploma! 🎉 Thank you for taking us around your neighbourhood. Those lilacs are magnificent. I don’t think I have seen so many in one place. I was wishing I could smell them. I was particularly delighted to see the Belted Galloway Cattle so far from home! 🏴 My father was from Galloway and I have a real soft spot for them. I even have a china bull ornament that my father gave me as a gift. His name is Anton, because that was the name of the bull on the farm where my father was brought up. Love that your cat goes for a walk with you too. So cute. ❤
Thank you so much for this lovely calming video, what I needed to start my day. It reminded me to take long soothing breaths, what I often forget to do. I wish I could take such walks with my cats.
Phenomenal!!!! Thank you for sharing your thoughts and beautiful surroundings. It sounds like we have been on the same path. Congratulations on becoming a yoga teacher. Blessings. And Namaste
You have a lovely calm voice that I could listen to for ages. Thank you for taking us on your walk. How wonderful that Findus joins you, staying right with you. Truly beautiful
Oh my, I've rarely seen so many lilacs in one place. The scent must have been beautiful. I know what you mean about recording your flowering tree, as I do the same with my magnolia. This year it was in full bud, just ready to open and we had snow ( early May in Niagara Falls USA) A few blossoms survived, but I mourned what might have been 😢😊 Congratulations on completing your course work. It's an accomplishment to be proud of and celebrate 🎉
I, too, experience the clarity of fleeting moments, and how life is truly a collection of these. This awareness can be really raw at times and scares me a bit when I'm mindful of them. Your video and narrative are quite beautiful. The lilacs! Oh my. And Findus, such a loyal and adventurous companion. He is fun to watch as he explores along with you with his fluffy tail straight up in the air. He is a beautiful cat! I love what you said about "what we put our energy towards tends to grow in our lives." And, the vision of a monk(?) learning to surf on lifes waves. Love it! I just started watching your channel and really enjoy it. I want to learn to knit someday. You inspire me with your beautiful sweaters. My mom and both her parents were from Denmark. I visited there when I was a teenager. Your videos enrich me with deeper knowledge and understanding of my Danish heritage.Thank you!
OMG I can't believe you walked 10 KM, that is awesome. I was just about to ask you about that beautiful sweater you had on when you mentioned that you bought that, lol, you must have seen this question coming from a mile away, lol. The Bawi sweater is now in my knitting queue on Ravelry lol, among lots of others, lol. I got my yarn delivered yesterday from Knitting for Olive, thanks to you mentioning it in one of your knitting videos, absolutely stunning merino and silk mohair, currently cast on for the Bellisrib sweater, What is everyone else currently knitting?
The opening lines were very profound . Loved your Spring round up. Congratulations on completing your Yoga classes. You love life in all its colours and hues. Thank you for sharing some of your happy moments .
Merci pour une autre vidéo inspirante qui nous transporte directement au Danemark! Notre printemps était aussi froid un peu partout au Canada. En espérant un bel été….
We don’t get typical summers in 🇦🇺 anymore either. Just streaked cloud, haze, streaked cloud, haze. At least it doesn’t trigger bushfires though. I’m fairly familiar with Norwegian landscape but not Denmark. Your filming as you walk, show us intriguing architecture, shrubs, trimmed hedges and lanes portrays such a beautiful pastoral, relaxed and gentle landscape. ❤️
Lovely video! Definitely gave me things to think about. I love your cat and the fact that you can go on long walks with him like that. It's too congested with streets and traffic where I live, so I keep my cats inside.
Thank you Helle for another delightful video. It’s interesting that gorgeous Findus appears to understand the English & Danish languages when you speak to him 😁. A multilingual pussy cat! He’s a beautiful creature 😻
Congrats on completing your yoga course. You live in a beautiful city. Our lilacs are starting to bloom here on the Canadian prairies, too. Lilacs and lily of the valley are my 2 of my spring time favorites.
My, how Findus made me chuckle as he went a-wandering with you. He clearly enjoys exploring. Such a beautiful episode. I can see myself enjoying both styles of your thoughtful and thought provoking podcasts. You have a way with words, Helle and I shall be back for more! ♥ Congratulations on your yoga certification 🎊 Thank you for sharing xx
I’m listening to your vlog in the kitchen while cooking my husband’s dinner and i have to pause to type what I think about your voice; your voice is suited for ‘audiobooks’. 🌺
Thank you for another beautiful presentation, Helle. It is thrilling to be able to see your land in the spring. Our province, Prince Edward Island, Canada was severely damaged last September by Hurricane Fiona. After enjoying your videos, I have been encouraging neighbours to consider planting hedges of lilacs in areas previously forested. I hope to do this . Your knitting projects have been lovely and it occurred to me that you would be intrigued with a Canadian designer , Jennifer Beale, knitjbeale Designs. Her work is spectacular. I just finished reading The Crimson and the White after you commented on your enjoyment of it. Another author who entrances me is Sarah Winman. I want to re read her books even after just finishing to savour her prose again. Please continue to share your life and thoughts.
Hi. I just want to say how much I enjoyed watching this video. The commentary at the beginning of the video captivated me and touch me deeply. I have added the book you mentioned to my wishlist and will get to it some point. I am currently listening to the book by Eckhart Tolle and has help me so much. I really enjoyed all your content so much 💕 I'm so glad I found your channel. Best wishes all the way from southern California.
Oh congratulations on your yoga teaching diploma, Helle! Very inspiring. Thank you for sharing your beautiful spring with us. I can almost smell those lilacs. My favorite. Your video is timely as we’ve been waiting almost 3 months for news that will either take us across the sea to the city again, or to California. I long to know what is coming next so I can plan our next adventure. But the endless waiting for news is wearing me down. Every day I struggle to find peace in the waiting. But as you say, it will come to an end soon enough (and sooner if I can just let go).❤❤
This was so relaxing….and a nice throw back to early spring in Virginia….helped me slow down on lace row of a shawl….love the cat..love the lilacs…really like all the flowers…I thank you
What a wonderful video. So meaningful. It actually brought memories to mind of my children when they were in school. I thought I have forgotten them. So thank you.
Congratulations on your yoga teacher Diploma! Well done! I’ve been thinking of trying yoga for a while but not taken the plunge yet. Maybe that’s my new path for 2023 😊. Thank you for your inspiring videos ❤
Oh I needed that while I still hear recovering from a heavy dose of flu. I’m so looking forward to Spring, those lilacs were wonderful. You speak of living a momentous personal moment through your daughter moving on, I recently wrote on the importance of remembering how significant birth days are for mothers, not just as a birthday for the child. It was a year after my son’s death and it seems more significant than ever. Your beautiful cat Findus is my cat Louis reborn, identical colouring. He too would go for a walk and chatter away.
Hello Helle, such is the power of social media that on a trip to the Finger Lakes in NY yesterday, I thought of you when I walke by some glorious lilacs. They don't do well in the hot and humid south where I live, so I made sure to inhale deeply. A fleeting moment to be sure.
Thank you for this spring video. I love how your kitty joins you on walks. We have huge lilacs here in Ontario now too. Congratulations on your yoga certification!
Hello Helle, thank you for your lovely spring vlog and wise words. Autumn used to be my favourite season but as I grow older, I really appreciate spring more. Congratulations 👏👏on gaining your yoga teacher diploma too. Oh, and Findus is gorgeous! Best wishes from UK
What a beautiful video. I started following you because of your knitting videos. And I immediately signed up. Something in your voice.... Your spring is lovely and looks like my winter because I live in Tel Aviv Israel. Congratulations on the certificate you received as a yoga instructor. All the best Orna
I'm so glad to have discovered your channel. I appreciate the peaceful energy of your videos. Additionally, the background music is thoughtful and relaxing. You have a vibe that I connect with. My interest is in Denmark and I enjoy "going places" with you. Nothing is too mundane because your musings enhance and illuminate the journey. Please continue to post.
Are the spruce trees in the background (10:05-10:10) Norway Spruce? My grandfather, whose parents immigrated from Zealand near Copenhagen, planted Norway spruce seedings on his farm in Michigan in the 1930s. They are now majestic after all these years!
Congratulations to your diploma. You are the kind of person that can achieve everything she wants because you are much more thoughtful, intellectually deep and inspirational than many other people. Here in Germany, spring has finally arrived with beautiful weather and summer is already approaching. I've done many cycle tours and barbecues with friends and also some lonely walks trough the countryside, but the lonely evenings make me a bit sad. I plan to travel to England this summer, but it would be so much nicer with a very special person by my side who I can share romantic momants and profound conversations with. Friends can give us so much. But there are certain things that only a partner, a true love, can give us.
So many beautiful moments - I enjoyed this so much and really appreciated hearing your musings about living in the moment and accepting the fleeting nature of life, noticing but not hanging on too tightly to the things that bring joy and also pain and sorrow. Being a fellow knitter and having seen many of the lovely sweater you've knit, I smiled when you explained that that particular sweater you were wearing was not hand knit.
Hi Helle, another wonderful video. I am thankful that I found your channel, you have become a perennial blossom in my life. Well done on another accomplishment. Your feathered cap will soon spread like a dancing peacock.🐈⬛
Hi Brian, I had to take a screenshot of your lovely, tongue-in-cheek comment 😅🥰 I, too, am thankful that you are ‘out there’ (or rather, just ‘over there’ in the UK) 🙏🏻❤️
What a beautiful and lovely videos you make ! I resonate very much with your stories and musings on life. Reading books on life and spirituality brought me clarity and a feeling of being understood, a boost to dealing with it all. As a nice mindful activity outdoors, I could recommend visiting private gardens. Of course Great Britain is well known for its beautiful and famous gardens. But I was pleasantly surprised, discovering in my home country (The Netherlands) and other countries, there are many great private gardens opened up to the public by their owners for some days/periods of the year. Garden organisations/magazins provide lists. Choose your own selection of gardens, making your own tour. If you like greens, flowers and nice people around, then highly recommended.
I hope you get to move to a place with more nature soon then. Listen to your heart; it knows what you want. (And maybe buy some more plants to begin the journey ☺️💚)
What good company Findus is on your walks. And oh, the lilacs! So beautiful! Now that you are a certified yogi, would you consider doing some yoga sessions here on your channel? I’m sure I’m not the only one who would love and benefit from your instruction.
Thank you for your beautiful episodes, I truly enjoy watching them. I have lived in Denmark for 3 years and this is so nostalgic for me. In your podcasts you have mentioned before about other Danish or Norwegian knitting podcasts you are following and watching. Would you kindly share them what they are? Thank you again and hello from Australia 🇦🇺
LOVE your podcasts!!! I recently found you on RUclips and I am slowly watching all your past posts. I have a question please. At the 15:22 mark, you show a roof with a sort of spike of sorts. Would love to know what the roof is made of and the purpose of the spikes, I'm guessing perhaps to help keep snow from weighting down the roof? Thanks so much!!
Thank you ❣️I had to look this up, so I learned something new today, too 😊 It’s where the two sides of the thatched roof are connected. Since the sides are made of straw (apparently with wood underneath), the little ‘spikes’ keep them in place and make sure no rain or snow gets in ☺️ So your hunch was correct.
Congratulations to you and your daughter in finishing your testing! 🎉 May I ask what lineage of yoga your training was focused? (ie Ashtanga, Hatha, Bikrim, Kundalini…?) I found the completion of the course laid a wonderful foundation that really shifted me from a cool way to exercise toward a true mind/body/spirit practice. 🙏🏻
Great advice to us, thank you ❤️ I also recommend fasting for all,but in recent days especially for those that have been vaccinated. God bless, Dora Sigurdardottir 💖
Hello. Lovely home and beautiful clever knits you do. I am just a learner knitter. Do you have an easy knit for socks please. xo Whakatane, New Zealand
Jeg flyttede til USA for fire år siden, og har ikke haft mulighed for at komme hjem til Danmark siden. Har for nyligt snublet over dine videoer og det er simpelthen så hyggeligt

We had a slow/delayed spring in Oregon this year. Your video reminded me I wrote this in my notes several weeks back
"This time spring did not burst forth out of nothing, instead slowly seeping into being over weeks and months.
And we wait, trying to be patient, to see the good in a prolonged winter."
I love the lilacs too. The best fragrance on earth.

Oh my .. all those lilacs.. how divine. I bet the scent is intoxicating !

Thank you for this spring video. I love how your kitty joins you on walks. We have huge lilacs here in Ontario now too. Congratulations on your yoga certification!
🙏🏻💙☺️
Your scaredy cat is the cutest! Thanks for another lovely video ❤
😻❤️
Hello Helle, thank you for your lovely spring vlog and wise words. Autumn used to be my favourite season but as I grow older, I really appreciate spring more. Congratulations 👏👏on gaining your yoga teacher diploma too. Oh, and Findus is gorgeous! Best wishes from UK
I am exactly the same. Maybe it comes with getting older. And thanks so much 😘
Wonderful video - those lilacs, wow…
Just on our way to DK by sailboat, so looking forward to it again!! 😍
What a beautiful video. I started following you because of your knitting videos. And I immediately signed up. Something in your voice....
Your spring is lovely and looks like my winter because I live in Tel Aviv Israel. Congratulations on the certificate you received as a yoga instructor.
All the best Orna
Thank you, Orna. Love from me in Denmark ❤️🤍
Congratulations on your yoga certification, Helle! So happy for you from Calgary, Canada!
🙏🏻😘❤️❄️
Are the spruce trees in the background (10:05-10:10) Norway Spruce? My grandfather, whose parents immigrated from Zealand near Copenhagen, planted Norway spruce seedings on his farm in Michigan in the 1930s. They are now majestic after all these years!
Really enjoyed the whole video. Congratulations on passing the exam 🎉 very inspiring. I love the lilacs. Ummm breathtaking ❤
Oh, those lilacs!!!🥰 Mine did not do well.this year, but it managed a few blooms.
Thank you, Vincent 🥰 all the best to you. England sounds lovely 🩷
So beautiful, thank you
So beautiful
Yet another awesome video! Your cat is ultra cool and behaves more like a dog. ❤
Ha, agreed 😻
Hi Helle, another wonderful video. I am thankful that I found your channel, you have become a perennial blossom in my life. Well done on another accomplishment. Your feathered cap will soon spread like a dancing peacock.🐈⬛
Hi Brian, I had to take a screenshot of your lovely, tongue-in-cheek comment 😅🥰 I, too, am thankful that you are ‘out there’ (or rather, just ‘over there’ in the UK) 🙏🏻❤️
Congrats!
Maybe we’ll be seeing another chapter of your vlog re: Yoga
❤
Thank you so much, and yes, I have often thought of doing that - including in the Netherlands, which I love 🌸🫶💚
Congratulations! 🎉 12:06
Thank you 💙
Parabéns 🎉🥂pelo diploma e estou muito grata pela partilha dos seus vídeos inspiradores.
Thank you so much 🩷🌸
Very calming! You do such a good job combining scenic and verbal beauity!
I hope you get to move to a place with more nature soon then. Listen to your heart; it knows what you want. (And maybe buy some more plants to begin the journey ☺️💚)
Love this! Your voice and musings are such good therapy.
🙏🏻🤍🌸
What good company Findus is on your walks. And oh, the lilacs! So beautiful!
Now that you are a certified yogi, would you consider doing some yoga sessions here on your channel? I’m sure I’m not the only one who would love and benefit from your instruction.
You’re not the first to ask, so maybe I should consider it. Thanks for the suggestion 🥰
Try e.g. Fibertales and Knitting Traditions 🥰
@@danishmusings Thank you, will do :)
@@danishmusings Thank you so much!! I am working my way back to your first posts, I can't tell you how much I am enjoying them all!!!
Congratulations to you and your daughter in finishing your testing! 🎉
May I ask what lineage of yoga your training was focused? (ie Ashtanga, Hatha, Bikrim, Kundalini…?)
I found the completion of the course laid a wonderful foundation that really shifted me from a cool way to exercise toward a true mind/body/spirit practice. 🙏🏻
Thank you, and yes exactly what you say here. It was hatha yoga 🧘🏼♀️🩷
Tus vídeos siempre son preciosos, yo no sé que hablas pero me encanta verte saludos desde Extremadura, España
Det er mig , der takker. for en fortryllende video. Sansefryd og sjælero. Tak
Åh tusind tak 🌸🩷
Great advice to us, thank you ❤️ I also recommend fasting for all,but in recent days especially for those that have been vaccinated. God bless, Dora Sigurdardottir 💖
I do fasts too, so agreed ☺️
Tack för denna helt otroligt vackra video. Jag njöt verkligen av att lyssna till dig och också se din söta kisse. Hälsningar från södra Sverige
Åh, tusind tak for dine ord 💙💛
Isn’t it so, soft yarn pills, rugged yarn itches. Constantly seeking the “perfect” balance for our sweaters.
Yes, indeed 🫶
Hello. Lovely home and beautiful clever knits you do. I am just a learner knitter. Do you have an easy knit for socks please. xo Whakatane, New Zealand
Thank you. I would go look on Ravelry. I am certainly no expert on socks 😌
Best wishes for your yoga training finals
