Men's business casual is pretty easy. Fitted chinos, fitted dress shirt, and nice dress shoes. NOT COMPLICATED AT ALL! You could even dress like that for dinner or a date!

With the exception of #1, the rest of them are hardly business casual, unless by business casual we mean dressing up the casual, which is where most guys get it all wrong. In my mind, #2 onwards are simply good casual adult-ish outfits.

I asked another channel the same question but truly curious from your perspective if you were to have just 3 oxford button downs what colors would you choose? Personally I feel White, Blue, and Lavender would be the most essential.

I kept wondering why I never bothered with navy blue chinos or trousers...after much thinking, I remember that for the most part in my elementary and high school years, we had navy blue trousers as part of our school uniform.

Aside from the first two outfits, the outfits are far more casual than business. And, in my opinion, if you are wearing a T shirt, it doesn’t matter what else you wear, it ain’t business.
Well, i think it is open to interpretation, as is style in general. I've never had a proper desk job in an office, but i have a passion for clothes and the way i present myself since i was a kid. Though generally i tend to dress up, of late i find myself looking for more and more comfort when picking an outfit. So this style, including chinos instead of dress pants or sneakers instead of oxfords works particularly well for me. After some experiments, i even feel comfortable pairing a polo shirt with a blazer, something that a few years back was totally out of the question. But would you look out of place wearing sneakers and a T at your prestigious law firm? probably yes and it's not recommended. So the "business" in business-casual is more a reference to the mild formality in composition, it's not replacing formal business wear anytime soon.
@@thevividend I agree with you that business casual is a dress code that affords much room for interpretation. I would add that so much of what is/is not acceptable comes down to the culture of the particular business. That makes it difficult to generalize. It just seems to me that style choices beyond the first two outfits are virtually indistinguishable from Ashley’s style choices for every day wear (which, I might add, I find to be well done and tasteful).
So heavily dependent on the culture, location, industry, etc. I tried to cover all aspects.
Hi Ash, what do you think of those techy business wear from companies like MoS, Lululemon, Mizzen and Main, etc that make things like button shirts, blazers, etc but in athletic like materials?
Talked about this extensively on my private community. Long story short - not that great and they look weird. Stick to the classics and you'll look better 100% of the time.

These outfits are great. But can you do a video for outfits in warm/hot weather? I live in Arizona and it’s hot, long sleeves and jackets are not ideal in the summer months.
I live in Phoenix; the only way I do business casual is with either just a linen button up or with lightweight oversized blazers
Some of the male celebs I like who wear good style are George Clooney, Brad pit, and Leonardo Di Caprio they all have a good sense of style.

a small thing to point out: #1, the guy is not wearing chinos, just a pair of flat-front tailored trousers. and the style of the shoes is certainly not oxford, but apparently a pair of wingtip derbies.

It’s not business casual, it’s more smart casual. Doing business in t-shirt or crew neck sweater is not a common practice.

I can see that but I do trust her opinions, I like to take her advice and apply it to my own style. Like for example I'm more into work wear than the clean cut suburban young professional look, so I'll pay more attention to how the garment fits and what color palettes work best.
Style is by definition about accommodating what society deems good-looking. There's no getting around that.
