Now I’m impressed. When you mentioned the model with dark complexion.. that’s a key thing everyone forgets. One has to take into account their skin tone when wearing an outfit. Also, another key point many people forget… your attitude. We both can wear a plain white t-shirt, jeans and sneakers but if I have swag (confidence) I guarantee my outfit will look better.

I agree with you. Too many advertisements for clothes are using Black models. I'm Irish, many colors don't look right on lily white people. Your skin tone is an important factor..

If you ever go to Ireland, you’ll see that there’s 100s of thousands of naturally tanned native Irish people.
And no, you’re not Irish. Your great x6 granddaddy mighta been. But you’re just American. You meant to say you have Gaelic genetics, but you’re likely also mixed with other ethnicities too.
Google Robert Sheehan, Colin Farrell, Rob Kearney, Conor Murray etc, pale and ginger are Viking traits, dark black hair is Irish.

I live in the Southern United States 🇺🇸 - Birmingham. The humidity in July and August “🥵 “. For this reason Linen , Seersucker , Mercerized Cotton and Silk/Linen is a must. I keep it simple and elegant. My wife and daughter are my biggest fans. 💙 🙃

Black sneakers are a constant reminder of the restaurant industry where they are like a mandatory uniform for employees. White are the most versatile ones, but you can go with brown or grey as well.
Just keep them clean.

The key is to take _prinicples_ from videos like this, not to think you're gonna just be a model

I'd personally recommend some short sleeved button downs in a looser but not oversized fit. Polos are great too. The important thing is not to go too big (oversized) or too tight.
I agree 95% to your statements. But even patterns (especially in summer) are a "must have" and not a "No Go". Of course patterns which fits to summer. In a good combination with basic trousers it gives you a casual/cool style and the woman like it because you don't look like every second guy. And if sb. is not so self-confident to wear it, put a denim or light jacket on top of it for the beginning. And after a while you will take it off. ;)

great content. I love classic style, but it is a huge problem in the summers. I am from Pakistan and the mercury can rise to 40 with high humidity. What do i do? i keep breathable fabrics and minimal layering if any. Any advice?

Here in the US, boat shoes are a no go. Those have been out of style for at a couple of years now.
I would also pass on denim shorts. Many guys default to denim but it's a terrible fabric for the hot weather.

Why not?! Come on over to the US. Unfortunately, I can't get excited because you don't cater to men of shorter stature. Peter Manning NY, Ash & Erie, and Under 5'10 do, but lacks better quality items as well as more dressier items. Although a bit pricey, they're all doing quite well, and most items usually sell out quickly. Just something to perhaps think about. Many of us have to pay good money for a good fit.

I agree with most things you say, but (unpopular opinion) man shouldn't wear shorts. That's an item for boys, not gentleman. If it's sunny weather you can wear tailored linnen trousers or can go for a hybrid wool/silk/linnen.

Sailing shoes are out of style long time ago
Great video but sadly, angled heavily towards European temperatures and humidity (even taking into account the recent very high temps that southern European countries have experienced these last couple of years). For Asia, where we experience high temps but with humidity levels well into the high 80s > 90s, 5-10 mins outside walking around, and you end up looking like a drenched cat! And forget about linen, guys. The sweat stains alone would make this look very unsightly.

@@TheStyleConsultant Totally understand. Many if not all these outfits will work provided you plan strategic hops between one air conditioned venue to another!
@@TheStyleConsultant I learnt this from my father who also worked for decades in Asia. Guys should try and wear a light v-neck undershirt - Uniqlo makes very good airism ones. This helps absorb sweat and more important, helps to protect the shirt. Never ever wear a mid-blue shirt. Very pale blue, very dark colours help to camouflage sweat. Cotton shirts. Your T-shirt and polos are a good guide. I tend to stick with white, black and navy blue. And forget jackets unless you can be 100% sure you will be inside where there is Aircon.

As a style note, never pair a dark top with a lighter bottom. Our eyes have evolved to appreciate lighter colors closer to the top of an object. For example, a tree in the mid-day sun will appear lighter at the top and darker lower down.

I love loafers too but during my years of work showing men how to dress, I find sneakers to be a very good sort of “Bridge” to get to the classy bottom of things ☝🏻

Men should not wear shorts unless they are at the beach.
I don't know where you live but in the southern US where I live most men wear shorts during warmer months (not just at the beach). Pants are not practical or comfortable in 80+ degree temperatures especially with humidity.
Long sleeve shirts and shorts looks very distracting to me. Very conflicted. Are you hot or cold?

Here in the south eastern US where we have hot and humid summers, you cannot wear a long sleeve shirt with shorts otherwise your upper half will be completely drenched in sweat.
