Today's players eat healthy, newest gear and training regimens. Rodman...party all night every night into his mid and late 30s. They still don't have his motor and accomplishments...
He was a student of the game and a master of his craft. He partied by night and ran miles after getting 25 rebounds and defended the best player on the other team most nights. He truly was a freak of nature.
People dont realize, Rodman used to be a really good player, but in Chicago with Jordan, Pippen, Kerr and Kukoc, he concetrated more on rebound and defense since Chicago had to many shooters, but he still played really good
I stumbled upon a video entitled "All of Dennis Rodman's 3 pointers as a Bull" or something like that. This dude had a beautiful jump shot and I'm convinced if he put as much effort in his offensive game as he did defense and rebounding, he would've easily averaged 20 a game. Incredible player.
I love also the fact at the time he was mocking for his tatoos, he said that he was just assuming a transition in the look of the players. Then Allen Iverson came and here in 2022 not being tattoed is almost an anomaly in NBA.
Like MJ averaging 45-50 ppg in today's NBA, Rodman would average 20-25 boards for that same reason. He was relentless. Nobody could out work Dennis Rodman. And yes..Nick and Shannon he would shut LeBron down completely.
5:19 there's selfish Scottie who didn't want to ruin his summer and had surgery at the start of the season....and then Rodman stepping it up in his absence. Thank you Last Dance lol
W/ how many TOs teams get in the NBA you might as well always call a TO in order to avoid a jump ball. It’s not the NFL where an early TO w/ come back to bite you lol
Rodman would practice rebounds with the team, watching their shots to get a better idea of which way certain shots would generally react when they missed, and I think this is evidence of that. Note that he didn't treat it like an alley oop. He was ready for the rebound, timed that jump and touch perfectly!
@@idk13539 That makes absolutely no sense .. How do you get that there were more shots taken ? Chamberlain would have out rebounded anyone at any time .. Now or then .. Check out some things about him on RUclips..
@@hatedwoods there were fewer teams in the earlier part of Chamberlain's career . That means that a lot of the players playing now wouldn't even be good enough to make the NBA back then .. Fewer teams , fewer spots . Chamberlain played against some of the greatest players of all time.. Wilt was then and would be the most dominant player if he was playing in his prime today .
@@martinD1 Boy this was a crazy statement. Damn near all them white boys would've been replaced by modern players today if they played back then 😂. It was not tougher competition in Wilt's day than there was in the 80s, 90s, 00s, 10s and now. Waaaaay better players now. Wilt and Russell happen to be the greats that stood out. I could just pull mid to low tier guys from today and they would replace somebody back then easily. Derek Fisher, Lance Stephenson, etc.
@@peytonlong5573 No offense to Wallace but Rodman is just way more entertaining to watch. Only thing I watched Ben for is Malice in The Palace 😂. And I'm not even really checking for him in that. He just happens to be in the video lol. I need full on wide receiver dives for the ball from Ben.
He didn't do it for the record. He did what the team needed him to do. He was a beast on the boards and on defense, letting the scorers do the scoring while he did what he loved.
He was such a beast on defense that his passing and shooting ability is very underrated. One of the most unselfish players on the court.
He was a true shooter when he was with Detroit
Except when it came to rebounds, dont try him when wants a board
❤
Rodzilla basketball IQ is off the charts and for that reason he is my 🐐
He's 1 of a kind. Will never see a Rodman again in our life time
@@thebigbacon once in a generation player buddy, not just one of a kind

He had asthma on top of it- he never complained or used it as an excuse.
that's why he is a goat for a reason
He’s one of the few civilians I’d say could drink with military members and then go work just as hard. It’s an art!
Same goes for MJ playing golf all day then playing cards all night and still dominating games lmao
@@Nnndiaz Rodman had asthma? 😳😳😳
29 rebounds...against Mutombo. Jesus...
What's astonishing is he got 17 rebs already IN THE FIRST HALF!
yes exactly
29 rebounds against prime Dikembe. What an animal
Rodman was funny guy of the pack :-) ... Pippen and Kukoc had always a good laugh on his unpredictable style :)

That defensive play he made at 1:05 is phenomenal.
Rodman is a all time rebounding beast
I love watching every game play of Dennis Rodman, Mr. Excitement. I like his style of different hair colors and design in each game.
I remember watching this game he had a double-double 12 and 29
Retire # 91 in chicago
Crazy that he went from being the most hated guy in Chicago to one of its most beloved.
i think thomas, laimbeer was more hated
Agreed but 1996/9/98 Dennis was on the bad boys team they would have had to put him in witness protection whenever he went to Chicago
Control the rebound,control the game❤
" They( Hawks as a team) have 26 rebounds, Dennis has twenty five."
Got Damn that's is insane.
WNC averaged 23rpg; Rodman had barely 10rpg…….that my friend,is insane!
People dont realize, Rodman used to be a really good player, but in Chicago with Jordan, Pippen, Kerr and Kukoc, he concetrated more on rebound and defense since Chicago had to many shooters, but he still played really good
Rodman's signature shot, the one handed tip in, is fastest shot in basketball. It takes less than .2 seconds to shoot.
Dennis Rodman almost outrebounds Atlanta 😂
I love how the video starts with Phil Jackson getting a technical 😂
Simply The Titan in Defense and on The Boards💪💪💪

I saw that video and I love Dennis but saying he had a beautiful jump shot is a little much
@@jasonanno3881 That's just my opinion and I respect yours.
I loved when Rodman played for the Bulls
Fue mejor en los bulls que en Detroit
The energy even mj would be jealous of!👍🏾✌🏾
Always respected him. Watched most of his games. Take away his boards and you take away a lot of extra scoring opportunities.
How did Mutumbo ever win DPOY when he wouldn't even go out to the perimeter to guard his man? Rodman shot about 30% on threes when he was wide open.
This is Called “Greatness”!!
“The Worm” 💪🏿😊
29 rebounds! against one of the best defender and rebounder mt mutombo?????
They were just built different back then.
two best rebounder of all time mt. mutombo vs the worm but the worm eat Mutombo in this game.. what a legend!
Rodman had asthma? I’ve never seen someone use an inhaler on the sidelines. What an animal. Dude goes so hard for the whole game
Nobody goes harder than Rodman, NOBODY you don't see anyone even diving for loose balls like he would

I think he beats his own record by Detroit record by 27 rebounds🤔,and two days after Christmas,!
his best whit detroit was 34 rebounds against indiana

There's a debate about who is the best offensive player. But not about who is the best defensive.
Nice old skull rodman is my idol,,
Damn! How many in today's game...
All of them, lol.
Rodman is the GOAT!
3:49 hitting the inhaler....incredible :)
He was the real MVP and pippen and Jordan know it.
Highest rebounding game as a Bull and this shows only 4 or 5.
THE WORM

The only superstar to beat jordan
For a second I thought the date were his stats and I got scared at the amount of rebounds
you realized Rodman can average 15-16 rpg at 6'6 or 6'7. Imagine if he's 6'8 to 6'10 he might go 20+ a game
Ahahaha Rodman was so good at getting technicals, that even his coaches could get one along))))
RODZILLA
If anyone is looking for his cards, I have quite a few I collected back in the day...
Chicago vs Atlanta in what day and year?
Imagine trying to match up to the bulls, you give it your best, and then Rodman demoralizes you offensively with a few key points. wow.
