- Through the first 4 games in the 1997 ECSF against the Hawks, Rodman played limited minutes and had a lot of problems with getting technicals and ejections. In Game 5 he finally broke through and had a surprisingly good offensive game, a couple threes, good defensive plays and the usual theatrics to help the Bulls get to the ECF

Rodman made basketball entertaining on a whole different level. He gave the fans more than they paid for, which is one of many reasons why he’s one of my favorite players of all time
Rodman played a different game. It was a head game, a game that pushed the limits. He is one of those rare players that changed the game forever. Everyone had to adjust to him.
Dennis Rodman is one of the greatest players in the history of the game. Dennis impacted the game in a way only he could. The refs should start each game with a clean slate for all players and not penalize Dennis for being himself.

Refs was targeting him. He should have never been ejected. Either way Rodman did amazing things on that court, and on his birthday no less!

I watched final game live on TV with my father. I told my father Karl Malone is the strongest person in the NBA. But Brain showed his strength! Then my father looked at me "slanting eyes" said, "This is the strongest man?". I'm still young, I don't know what the so-called "strong" means, I just watched the introduction at 'NBA Action'.
@@keli4775 - Not that I would even begin to compare him to Charles Barkley, but he brought a Barkley-like energy off the bench. He just had a fire about him that was unique. He was intense, and he was very critical to that 1997 team.

Dennis Rodman has greatest participation in NBA history. He made NBA more entertaining than before! He is smart and genius player.
Rodman satisfied the city of Chicago like no other when he ran with us. He really caused ripples and set the tone in the league when he joined Chicago. Rodman was damn’er bigger than Michael Jordan when he joined us because of all the BULLSHIT he came with! The city STILL love the fuck out of Dennis Rodman. HE’s a all time Bulls GREAT.

Imagine if Dennis Rodman wanted to score. I remember Steve Kerr saying Dennis Rodman would purposely not score just to be different. Could of easily averaged 20 points and 20 rebounds a game if he wanted too.
I have to disagree on that. I think he just didn't score more usually , because it wasn't his role. In every NBA team he was in there were always people with much better offensive skills, so it was a wise decision to focus on what he could do best. As far as I remember in college he made much more points.
You should also consider that it's much easier to score when the opponent team is not guarding you at all offensivly, unless you're really close to the basket. So I strongly disagree he could have averaged 20 points. He also never averaged 20 rebounds in a season or playoffs though probably being one of the best rebounders in NBA history. Don't know where you've got those numbers from. He had the best stats in the late Pistons era, but nowhere close to that.

Hubie stated at one of his camps that Rodman was the best all around palyer in the leauge at that time because he could do it all. I remember watching a game where he was a great offensive and defensive player and as everyone knows he was the best rebounder at that time
