Your facts are wrong. 1-Had the refs called a technical foul on LA for too many players on the court, Detroit shoots a T and gets the ball at mid court. 2-a made T cuts the lead to 2, Detroit gets the ball at mid court and there still is 2 seconds left to tie the game or shoot a 3 for the win .

Even though Magic upped his game and was probably the best player in the world the following 2 seasons, Kareem got old and they really didn't find a suitable replacement. They were great, but weren't going to win it all without a decent center. Vlade Divac just wasn't it.
