  • To celebrate the 3 millions views of the first episode i decided to make a third one..." red assault 3 "
    it shows the great connections between Michael Jordan,Scottie Pippen and Dennis Rodman (seasons 1997 & 1998) and their basketball IQ.
    We can see how strong they were defensively and how dangerous,creative and quick they played offensively.

      Simply because basketball was a man's game during the 90's. Observe the defense of both teams, you don't see that in today's NBA. The offense and defense in those days require intellectual as well as physical skills both of which you no longer see in today's game. The 90's NBA was really worth something to watch for.

    Jordan is an incredibly talented player and he's got Pippen to compliment his game. Now add Rodman to the equation...they're literally unbeatable.

  • @jeraldvincentzumel5300
    @jeraldvincentzumel5300 5 лет назад +5

    Rodman's IQ is off the charts! He knows where and when to cut, and nobody actually pays attention in his ability to look for easy uncontested buckets. He has a great court vision and can easily spot open and cutting teammates without needing to dominate the ball.
    Combine those things with his hustle, reboundng and defensive prowess and you got yourself a potential superstar in the 90s.
    If only teams were smart enough to sign him and train him to become the number 1 or 2 option in their team, they could have had a Pippen-like player who can aggressively dominate the glass with a much cheaper salary.

    1:35 that move is unbelievable, he went up with the right hand, took the contact, switched to the left hand in mid air, uses his right hand to protect the ball from the defender, then lays it in with the left hand, the control, power and finesse is off the charts. Nobody can do stuff like that, that is just not human, other players just can't do that, there was so much contact, how he controls that is beyond belief

    It was almost unfair to have those 3 guys on the same team. Jordan and Pippen were drafted and developed by the Bulls. Rodman was basically a castoff by San Antonio at that point, he couldn't be controlled and the Bulls basically stole Rodman in exchange for Will Perdue.
    It can be argued that Jordan, Pippen and Rodman were the greatest defenders at their respective positions. As great of a defender and rebounder that Rodman was, he was also an incredibly underrated passer. All 3 of them were incredible passers with great court vision and awareness. The Bulls 2nd 3-peat was a great run and the 90's in general was a great time to be a basketball fan. I consider the 90's to be the golden era of NBA basketball.

      aLeXx1314 yea but pip was an under average rookie, avg 7.6ppg in his rookie year and couldn't even make it into the starting line up. Mj mentored pippen, pip stepped up to that challenge ( from 7pts to 14 pts to 16pts and finally 17pts in 91 lol...) and after 4 years of learning from Jordan he became an all-star and won a ring. Mj didn't had Rodman their first 3peat, he became the best rebounder and worm Caz of the pistons mentality, their leader instilled him+he was a single digit scorer at the bulls so not much of a big help offensively.

      For those first 44 games the bulls was struggling, but when Scottie came back after the all star game they went on a winning streak. That how they still got to 62-20 record.

    The way they play is like poetry in motion. Notice how active they are around the basket and how fast they get back into defence during other team offense. The are the greatest trio of all time.

    There is no player in GS more athletic than Rodman, Pippen and Jordan.
    Everyone now saying that clippers are the best defensive team in the NBA lol. Harper was a stronger and more athletic PG than Beverly, Pippen would lock up Choke George and Jordan would dunk and shoot over Leonard. Leonard fundamentals are good but Jordan will kill him in the post. Jordan and Pippen in the open floor was too much, those two would jump near thw free throw line just to dunk it on you. Also there speed was too much, Jordan and Pippen would talk shit all game while doing some poster shit on you.

    My favorite Big 3. This reel is a keeper. A great capsule of the kind of effort you got from these men EVERY game. Nobody could handle the steady 1-2 punch, offensive barrage and combined 70-75 points a night from Mike and Scotty, Dennis was The Undisputed and Absolute Lord of Chaos; a treasure and pleasure to watch. Dennis put on a defensive and rebounding clinic every game. He cleaned up the garbage on offense. Each of them being thirsty and crazy defenders too. Utah took 'em to the brink, twice, but in the end, nobody could stop or quite handle them (and the other Jordanaires). Nobody can truly say they were on their last legs, because some knit wit with authority and ego, was okay with breaking up the band.
