  • There are so many sea fishing so close to the shore. Graeme heads down to Somserset again to grab a 3 hour fishing slot aboard the famous "Lorna Doone" charter boat. The wind is howling but they are fishing close to shore, will it pay off? Then GP pulls a clip from his files at a recent Show he covered with Mike from T.A. Outdoors, and he found a military stand with some interesting "products" for sale…finally he does a cookup of a couple of fillets of wild Muntjac Deer he has been given, and he says it was some of the leanest meat he has ever eaten....And you know with his culinary skills its’s going to be well cooked...It’s Friday night and Totally Awesome time again...Enjoy!

No B&B 's in the area, and I certainly won't be flashing out fancy prices for just a few hours of sleep. Its different after September, the nights are longer and a lot colder,so I generally B&B then.

No alcohol either !!...now that would be a bit tough for a month....I think I'll take his ration of that to save it going to waste. We are round his for a Barby tomorrow and I figure everything will be extremely well cooked....!!

@@pickled6956 You think pulling anchors & bouys and starting up big engines is easier than simply casting off a bit? Get a big fish and they can make the line going under the vessel / anchor chain etc. But why would someone want to uproot the actual boat !!

Its called Uptiding..a standard technique for relatively shallow water. First popularised off the Essex coast I believe, and works very well in many areas. the belief is that fish might be put off by the humming of the rope in shallow water in a strong tide,so the technique was originally developed for that.
