This is the best airgun cleaning system available without a doubt. On powder burners that are rimfire or centerfire not so much. Regular cleaning rod systems work better. On airguns especially PCPs this system with the use of Ballistol is the ideal way to clean your guns. You don't want to use aggressive steel, brass or bronze brushes like the powder burners. You don't want to use aggressive copper cutting bore solvents in a airgun either.
Hi I am thinking of making one too. Did you make a knot on the line so the earplaug can stop, right? I am thinking to build my own with a thick fishing line.
Suggest flipping the gun over so the transfer port is on top. That will insure that dirt and debris does not get into the port or valve. I ran 50 patches through my Gamo Urban and they were still coming out with a slight bit of brown on them. Used Balistol as a cleaning agent, following up with a few dry patches. Great system. I used a rag on my hand because after pulling several patches through the bore my hand got sore from the nylon string.
I was looking for this specific video on how to you these patches because I just bought them however wasn't sure how to use it even tho I had an idea how to. But you just clear everything up for me. Thanks for the informative video.. 👍
My system for a Ruger 1022, I use the white jag and a 1 1/8” Pro-shot patch wet with synthetic gun oil. A package of 1000 pro shot patches is the same money as 100 patch worm felt. 😊
Very informative no different then any other video of yours. Also i wouldnt consider yourself as being cheap, I believe your character is best described as being frugal.
I love the Patchworm, so simple to use. Thanks for another great video Tom! FYI brownells sells the same 7/8" patches (can be found on flea-bay or amazon).
Hey Tom, I saw from Giles video that you went to Utah Airgun’s for the Rocky Mountains Airgun challenge. Nice work on your qualification for 100 yards. Also, thank you for your continuous service as a fire fighter 👍
Thanks for the video and product review. I came across your channel a few weeks ago and really enjoy it . I've been into firearms and shooting since I was a kid . Getting back into airguns now that we can finally hunt small game in New Hampshire with them. Just bought a Gamo Swarm Magnum in 22 caliber . I've been looking at the best way to clean it and came across your video. I just ordered one from Southern Precision Air Thanks again, David.
Do I need to buy a separate kit for the .177 or can I just use this kit/cord without the caliber sleeve? Is the notch on the rod/cord/cable suited for .177? Thank you.
Not lately. 100%, perfectly clean, hasn't been a goal. But, getting respectively close is. You might just see a very small bit of discoloration on your last few pulls. I am thinking of trying a new technique to get to that 100% mark. If it works, I'll end up making a vid about it.
Hello sir! Please tell me. I have Benjamin Armada. Possible to use boresnake for cleaning barrel? I am worry about keep safe O-rings and silencer - can be damage? Thank you
No, I would not recommend using a bore snake. If you could figure out how to remove the brush from the bore snake, I think you would be ok to use it. However, airguns don't like firearm chemicals. So, if you use the bore snake on firearms, don't use it on airguns.
Good question! I think you are right that the breech would be too tight. I think it could be made to work but, you'd be better off with something like the Crownsaver if you don't want to remove your barrel.
Please show your support to help in the continuation of my channel, I'd really appreciate it! Here's a handy link - paypal.me/TomcatAirguns Thank you for your support, every little bit helps! :)
Won a Leshiy and a 2 slot, soft rifle case. Didn't come home with any medals though. Went for a good time and had a great time - That alone, is a win! :)
Good prizes there. Worth the drive just for that. It seems they now favor .30 smooth twist X barrels for 100 yards ? I have a crown with a.25 and just got a .30 barrel for a vineyard with jack rabbit problems. Just got a used Impact with three barrels and eight mags for 1400. Ordered a 700mm barrel and slug liner for .25. I like range for pests.
kenny cadarett they have two types of pellets/buttons that can hard scrub the barrel. One of the pellets have brass embedded into the material. Thought it was stupid when i first seen it. Its now my favorite. CK their website. It's a great system.
fucken useless put the rod together and use a brush to scrub the grooves is the ONLY was to get the results you need to shoot a weapon accurately run a wet patch through the barrel to loosen the junk then the brush then another patch damp with cleaning solution then patches to dry the barrel then oil the barrel with one patch I bet if I cleaned your barrel I will get dirt out of it not good for shooting
kenny cadarett ..Kenny I'm picking up a Gay Vibe here from you . Release your inner hostility and just ask Tom out on a date . Your rage is misdirected here ...Be upset that you can't control your lust for man on man contact .. Dont take it out on Tom , or his helpful videos about a product that works flawlessly. I mentioned it at 1:20, "SPAW" Souther Precision Air Weapons. Better call soon because the owner is getting ready to leave for competition soon. Tell him I sent you his way!

I made my own out of line trimmer line and a rubber earplug trimmed down to size. Works perfect and cost me nothing

Yeah, frugal is a better description. I could polish a few areas of this video. It was the end of a long day when I made this. lol
I love the Patchworm, so simple to use. Thanks for another great video Tom! FYI brownells sells the same 7/8" patches (can be found on flea-bay or amazon).
Oh yeah, I'm sure you can get them through lots of different sources. Thanks for the tip!
DIY patchworm in a pinch: weed eater string, roll a dab of hot glue size of pellet. Works unbelievably well and you can make multiple

Utah was a great time! Didn't come home with a medal but, did come home with a Leshiy! Thank you. Best job in the world!
Wow, I like the Leshiy! I haven't seen anything like it.

Great video. I order some products from them 2 days ago. Thank you!
My favorite kit
How many wet vs dry patches do you use ?
About 2-3 wet patches and then dry until they come out clean.
@@Atoyota25 thanks, i did 2 wet doubled up and then flipped and did again. 4-5 dry patches.
Try and form a radius on the feeder end and it should help slide it thru the baffles, wish you had something for the 177 cal Thanks
Another informative video with useful tips. Thanks for sharing.

What is the brand of that big bag of white patches?
This is what i use.works well sadly no handle
Hello friend, I loved your video, where can I buy this cleaning kit, thank you
So you are saying it is better at cleaning than the Crownsaver, right?
What color should i use for .177 cal / 4.5mm ?
Check the website. I believe that's a different setup. I think the cord is in blue.
Yeah... here it is - www.patchworm.com/small_cal.html
I love that system
Do you keep pulling through until there’s nothing on the pad?

Nice video.

@@Atoyota25 I have this set ruclips.net/video/DYCMe2JvQGs/видео.html
Dirt ? or lead dust ?
Will this work on the FX Wildcat? I have read that it will not fit the breech of the Wildcat...

Strange the .177 is missing!
where can I get this to buy
SPAW - it's in the description and at 1:22. Southern Precision Air Weapons.
Where to buy?
I mentioned it at 1:20, "SPAW" Souther Precision Air Weapons. Better call soon because the owner is getting ready to leave for competition soon. Tell him I sent you his way!
Crimp a loop on the end.
Good concept but, I think it would affect the way the system passes through the barrel initially.
Takes out all the guesswork, worry, and unnecessary steps to clean AG's. Inexpensive and no need for a cleaning rod!
🤓👍
The cons u say are jt u being annoyed by the little things😂🤦♂️
