I bought this kit to clean my air rifles. I really liked the way it worked and made it this job much easier. On the third gun I cleaned, a .25 caliber using the number of patches directed in the instructions, the loop broke and rendered the kit unusable.
Been cleaning all my rifles this way for 54 years, but I use Fishing line and cut up old tea shirts for patches, good old WD 40 has NEVER caused any harm to o rings in my pcp's and cleans out a barrel like nothing else I've bought...
Just standard wd? Just about every forum I look into tells me to stay away from wd40. Got the bsa elite SE getting delivered on the weekend and don't want to mess it up
Nice video but you would be better off spraying the oil onto the patch, rather than down the barrel. You don't want to wash oil and lead dust down into the workings of the rifle.
This video overlooks one important point. . . . . PCP guns have an O-ring in the breach which seals around the pellet probe. The O-ring will be damaged or potentially dislocated by hsing a pull-through in this manner. When I clean the barrel of my HW100, I first remove it and then use a pull through consisting of 25lb fishing line with a loop at either end in conjunction with Napier oil and wipes - job done but more importantly, without knackering the seals in my rifle!!!!!!!!!!
You only need to clean your air rifle when you out if grouping. You can clean your barrel, when you put 1 pellet in and take the shot, it will be back the way it was... people only clean your air rifle when your grouping is out. I clean my 22-250 and 308 cal after 30 rounds, new centre fire clean after each shot depends on rifle. I clean my shotgun o/u and semi after clays or hunting. I was a bigh fan of brunox till they started to add stuff that did not clean well. I use Napier Gun oil, patches, lub spray, jag, mop, dry patches, pull through. The only thing i dont use is Napier gun grease. Tetra Grease i use, i also use Napier kit at work use it in my service rifle, its better than the issue crap we get at work. Gets the jos done quicker
Found this under reviews of this product "BE VERY CAREFUL about spraying the oil into the barrel specially if there are 'O' rings in there. I followed the youtube instructions on my Daystate Air Ranger .22 and now it has to go back to the manufacturer for service to replace the 'O' rings that were damaged by the fluid."
Yeah I use my gun so I don't go this far. Wipe it down and give the barrel a good clean every 1000 shots. copper barrel brush if I need to clean it then a send down a cloth and done.
It's sad that you guys in the UK have a 12 foot pound limit without a license which is barely enough to hunt small game in the United States we can have unlimited power with no regulation
Than you.
I’m a 51 yr old and new to air sport.
Last time I shot was 35 years ago!
Very useful video. ♥️

That happened to me too.
You can get cleaning pellets, just shoot them through every now and then.

Very good video on cleaning an airgun... The stock of S510 is different from the others, is that a new model stock of S510??
used one of these on my gun and the loop on the end snapped, needs improvement.
I'm using Bore Snake(No Brush) and Hoppes 9
i didnt cleaning kit for .25 cal...where can i order it??
i didn't see cleaning kit for .25.. where can i order it??
I too agree. And would have removed moderator for this process.
yeah, it is pretty basic isn`t it?
he takes the mod off and then puts it back on again- and then has to use a straw??
Amazed
Now let's see you do an underlever springer!
after how many pellets should the gun be cleaned?
Consensus seems to suggest between 250 to 500.

Good video and good piece of kite
Why do i feel this is more of a product advert than an actual how to advert??
That is because it IS !

Include a straw in the kit.

How do the schools feel about that
You have no regulations in anything... 5 years olds can get hands on firearms... mass shootings every month..
JoYANOYIC
