Cheers Brian. I've considered doing more Mac content, and maybe when I finally update to a newer Mac I will. For now, there's great channels like "Why Logic Pro Rules" and the "Music Tech Help Guy" who do great stuff.
Yes, I can't imagine it's far away. The cynical side of me says that Apple wanted to fix the iPad version first as many folks are coming up to subscription renewal.
Good to see an update. I must confess that my subscription is coming up and I’ve actually decided not to renew and I’m actually going to go back to good old GarageBand. I’ve enjoyed using Logic since its release and it’s a great bit of software. However, I’m just not writing at a high level any longer and only noddle around for fun these days. With all of the AUv3’s that I have, both instruments, effects and mastering, it more than fills the gaps between the two bits of software other than some editing options and I no longer have to worry about access to any half finished songs if I cancel my sub. I’m sure that it will continue to grow well but I also think that the subscription fee will also slowly creep up. If there was a one off fee, I’d go for it but alas, I’m deciding to dip out now before I get too invested. I just hope that they’ll be a GarageBand update at some point but I guess there aren’t going to be many streamers covering the old software any longer.
Hey there! Great points all round and sounds like you've made the right decision for you. Not everyone will need all the bells and whistles and therefore can save some money by not paying for them. I'm definitely still covering GarageBand iOS here and can't see that changing as it's still my comfort place and the easiest way by far to capture ideas and write songs.
Hi Pete, great content as always. I don't know if anyone has this problem but I find the black background of LP makes it very difficult (for my eyes at least) to see the markers on track ruler. Am I right in thinking that this cannot be altered?
Hmmmm…. I’m wondering if you can adjust the global setting to higher contrast under accessibility settings? I haven’t played with this but will note it to check out.
G'day! It's probably worth updating for things like the Chords track. Session Players and ChromaGlow will work, but aren't optimised for non-M series, and Stem Splitter won't be available at all. But you might as well have the new sounds etc.
@@PeteJohnsMusic Thanks Pete - have tried that, as well as a hard reset, still showing the red dot for one item. Before 2.0.1 it was showing 5, so the bug fix did get rid of 4 - as per release notes. Very odd indeed…

Music Help Tech guy’s videos are kinda like that .. Yours are super comprehensive too but I remember you wanting to take that in earlier . Some body’s gotta do it . Even on Patreon perhaps ?

Haven’t had these problems with LP on iPad but definitely on LP 11 on iMac. Hope it gets an update soon!

Q: Are fixed the ploblum when we set audio track to mono and when we change audio patches and it reset to stereo ?
That was fixed in version 1.1 from memory? I don't have it happen anymore personally?

That's odd? You've tried the "close all apps and turn it off and back on" method? My go-to when weird things happen.
