Poor Vader.
Came here right after I read the comic. The author has a truly great understanding of Star Wars and made an amazing and emotional comic series, with an incredible finale. The payoff felt good, everything feels connected and I love it. Everything has a purpose in this comic. Star Wars at its best.
Star Wars Theory you should incorporate some of the comic scenes in ep 2 of the fan film.
Anakin was never able to surpass Mace Windu.
It's sad his life is fucked up made very wrong choices and I don't blame him but he is here now and can't take nothing back that's the sadest part and I wish he could find a way to go bak in time and make things right
DAMN that was sick
The literary irony in the story is so beautiful. He became Vader to save the only person he "loved." He continues as Vader in order to bring her back, and when he finally reaches her, he realizes that she loves only what he was before. He became Vader to save her, but Vader is what killed her.
Well said.
Perfectly said
Damn thinking about with this way is quite sad, but yeah Anakin/Vader truly is a tragic figure in fact his character gives me a lot of Oedipus and Achilles vibes mixed in with a bit of Hamlet a true tragedy indeed.
even Padme's spirit was what he became so she rejected Vader
That's why I was miffed with the 'lost the will to live' line in ROTS. Up until that line I thought Padme dying in childbirth (possibly because of what Anakin did to her) was going to be the full circle of the tragic irony of his dream.
He became Vader to save Padme from the fate of his dream, but by trying to prevent it he only caused it.
It's the only thing I can really criticise George for
But not just the jedi. But the younglings and the tusken raiders too!
"What have I done?!?!"
And Count Dooku.
They're like animals, and I slaughtered them like animals!.... I hate them!
i wonder now why JEdi DOoku wasnt there
Anakin never was able to surpass Mace Windu.
Poor Vader, killed every Jedi master in his way just to get to his girl only for her to reject him even in death

So Luke overpowered Vader and blasted him out of the portal? AWESOME!
Or could be his light side self shooting him back???
could have been both but im going with luke here since it says he doesnt knew the boy and vader didnt knew luke there so it makes more sence i think :) either way. i like to imagine that at the end of ROTJ that anakin & luke in kind a way fought together against vader and beat him :)

Mr Gelmo 100% he would have

Mr Gelmo you know that in the revenge of the sith vídeo game of PS2 there is fight of Darth Vader (with no armor) vs Mace Windu
Looking back on the prequel and original trilogy, I think one thing can be said about Vader. Darth Vader was always just a shield for Anakin Skywalker. It was as much a mask as the one he wore to keep him alive. He could not face what he had done, and so it was easier to be someone else. The Emperor was the complete opposite, Palpatine was the mask, and Darth Sidious the truth. Looking at that, it is easy to see why Sidious was searching for a replacement for Vader. He could never be the true Sith that the Emperor required, but then again, perhaps that is why he kept Vader, confident that Vader would never take the final step and kill him, because if he did, then Vader would be truly alone.
Well said!
I feel like everything Vader sees here is Entirely based on his perceptions of his life. Padme was never there at all, and her "killing herself" was Anakin *Knowing* that Padmé, even if she was brought back, would never Love Vader. These twisted visions showing the audience Anakin's mind. Not absolute Narrative truths. - Great Video! Love your recaps! :D
That might also explain Palpypie's scene with Shmi, because if anyone could be called Vader's father, it's him
That's pretty dope. Really gives more depth into Vader's character

Star Wars theory: anakin comes across all the jedi masters
Kit fisto: am I a joke to you?
At least he didn't die this time, so he can smile more time... I guess
What a conclusion. A thrilling story in and of itself. Fortress Vader has doubtlessly cemented itself as one of the best elements of Star Wars canon.
I think Padme's response was well-done. Vader said, "Anakin was weak. I killed him." Of course after her heartbreak and betrayal, she'd view Vader as someone she didn't know, for the man she loved was long gone, transformed into some sort of unrecognizable monstrosity.

This video makes me love Anakin/Vader even more
I’m really hoping that the nightmare young Anakin of Darth Vader is an actual memory. Anakin would just think it was some scary monster, until years later. Then he would realize that he was the monster in his nightmares.
But not just the masters, but the knights and padwans too
Not even the younglings survived
I really find it ironic that the fricking comics have better lore and storytelling than the main sequell trillogy right now. 😤
Comics are always better stories than what the movies can give us.
How is that ironic?
Because comics aren't tied down by budget, time limit, and resources required of a movie. It's nothing ironic really, just simple logic.
And the sequels have better story telling than the prequels. Your point?
@@acedias12 actually they are each of those, except the last one mostly

I WANT THOSE PLANS!!!
The last time I was this early the younglings were still alive

That boy
Its luke isn't it?
Yes
I wonder, does this prove Momin right? like when Mom used the portal he was able to get his body back, but when Vader used it he only got pain and suffering that he will always vader. As the difference between these two was that Momin gave himself to the darkside and served it with religious fervor while Vader and Sidious only sought to bend the darkside to their will. so like if Sidious use this portal would he have gotten what he wanted or would he have been tormented like Vader? So I guess serving the darkside is the only way to get what you wanted.
I think if Anakin would take Padmé trough the Portal she would rly be there again...
The force didn't allow him to get his wife back because the it needed anakin to continue as darth vader until he fufills his destiny and destroy the emperor.
The force didn't want him to have padme back, it wants him to continue his life as darth vader until he fulfills his destiny to destroy the emperor.
I love how even star wars acknowledge the hilarious i hate sand meme.
That was great!!! Darkness at its best! Can’t wait for your Vader film to drop! 🤘🤘🤘
I find it interesting that he saw himself dueling Asoka... this had to happen before Rebels. Maybe that's what he met by "It was foretold that you would be here."
The boy with the blue lightsaber that pushed him out of the portal was totally supposed to be Luke, btw
Damn Anakin/Vader even in the spirit world of the force still can't catch a break tbh works his ass off and kicking ass just too get too padme and then coming up short bye her doing what she did bye jumping off the balcony damn my main man Vader is just mint too suffer and sacrifice instead of having what he wants and be happy. Regarding the Theories of either Obi Wan or Luke being this Jedi forcing Vader out of this realm, one thing does not make sense: Who besides Vader himself knew that he entered this realm, thus feeling the need to kick him out of it?
What I really think it is, is the light side that is still in him, Anakin Skywalker, the identity he has killed and that represented the good in him, is now something he does not recognize any more. Now he is Vader through and through, at least he is certain of that now, but his light side is perhaps more powerful than he thinks.
I’m also thinking of the Clone Wars episode where Yoda finds out about the dark side version of himself inside of him. He has to accept that fact and “give no power to it” for it to not have any control over Yoda. This could mean that Vader thinks Anakin is dead for real and does not see the good part in him that eventually forces him out of this realm.
At least that is my theory.
It's not _actually_ Luke doing it, Luke is a small child at this point. Luke is just symbolic.
I´d rather say that the scene where he finally "found" padme again, she was more like a mirrored image of anakin himself. the eyes: his eyes. and the lines "anakin skywalker is dead" are what he constantly said about himself when someone recognized him. cause after all, HE killed her, HE killed (or at least tried) to kill the old anakin. and last but not least the words "i dont know you". remember the scene on mustafar shortly before he choked her? so in short i think "she" is more of an mixed version of what he loved the most and his overwhelming guilt about what he had done to her and what he did in general to come to this point.
That was completely awesome thanks for sharing it with me
Take a seat.

This is your best video thus far. Fitting, since this comic is one of the best new canon additions thus far. The music and sounds effects are amazing, you've really outdone yourself this time. Love you SW Theory, you're the sole spot of light in this time of darkness.
The boy at the end with the blue lightsaber was Vader’s salvation: Luke.
I think those visions that vader saw were portals leading to the past (like in rebels) thats why he can hear all those lines said in the prequels. But because the world between worlds allows you to see both ways he can also hear kylo say let the past die. The reason it looks so different to when Ezra entered it is because of his perception of the force. That's also why he see's palpatine and his mother. When he tries to reach and see the future with luke the force cuts him off and throws his soul back into the materium plane
Holy crap this is fantastic
I could be wrong, but this “world of echos” and the dreams kinda look very similar to when Anakin had the nightmare of Padme dying in child birth in Episode 3. You said “Did Anakin used to visit this world in his dreams?” I think he did, and we see it in Episode 3.
What you are doing is amazing. You provide us with top class videos and fanfiction stories, AND you are making a movie. I cannot stress enough how thankful I am to you-you have given us the star wars content we need, but not the one we deserve. Just.just thank you
''are you an angel'' is a nice touch, since it was the sentence that anakin said to padme the first time they met
This is why Anakin is the most interesting character in the entire star wars universe
It couldn’t have really ended any other way, but still heartbreaking

Gosh DANG! These comics are awesome! You can pinpoint the exact moment Anakin from the prequels dies and the OG Vader takes his place! This is the perfect transition! Thank you so much for uploading these videos!
This Vader comic has been so thrilling. We've seen him flying, controlling lava, and now this. Makes you understand JUST how powerful Vader truly was. Not far off from Sidious. Speaking of, I'm doing a Palpatine and the 48 Laws of Power 48 part series on my channel. Would LOVE if Star Wars Theory and the rest of you checked it out. May the Force be with You!
I am pretty sure this instance shows how powerful Vader would have been had he not been crippled. To suggest that even Sidious could defeat all Masters (he couldn't even really defeat Yoda alone by conventional means) is exaggerating Palpatine's powers.
@@MournfulDust well said! I really was referring to this overall arc and should've been more specific. No one could've defeated all of the Masters of course
@@theblackmandalorian Thanks, Sir! It's funny because i was thinking "hm, maybe i missunderstood that a bit and he was talking about the real Vader", because i feel like this whole scene was highly "metaphorical" (Sorry i'm no native speaker, i find it hard to express precisely what i mean).
@@MournfulDust Your expression is just wonderful!
@@MournfulDust Vader is more powerful due to his injuries.
VADER COMPLETED HIS MEDITATION and opened his eyes. His pale, flame-savaged face stared back at him from out of the reflective black surface of his pressurized meditation chamber. Without the neural connection to his armor, he was conscious of the stumps of his legs, the ruin of his arm, the perpetual pain in his flesh. He welcomed it. Pain fed his hate, and hate fed his strength. Once, as a Jedi, he had meditated to find peace. Now he meditated to sharpen the edges of his anger.
He stared at his reflection a long time. His injuries had deformed his body, left it a ruin, but they’d perfected his spirit, strengthening his connection to the Force. Suffering had birthed insight.
-- Lords Of The Sith
I loved the way he looked as he walked to the realm. He looked like a symbiote that was being purified at it's limbs first. By far the best comic.
This comic is amazing , Disney should've made this instead of the sequels
The sequels are fine additions and different people enjoy different things, what we all agree on is that we need more *games* with quality like this.
The sequels are a disgrace.
@@EdgarthenaturalJimenez Truth is a point of view my friend.
@@Bryan-dr5qy I would agree but in this case I can't, no same person would say the sequels are good
@@gamit2131 Liking a movie is definitely a subjective choice, not an objective one. The sequels made choices, some like it, some hate it, either way it's part of Star Wars and shouldn't be ignored, which was what Dave Filoni taught me when it came to the Prequels. It's interesting how there are fans of different generations who hate new Star Wars, original trilogy purists hate the prequels, now the prequel trilogy lovers hate the sequels. Our culture does play a part in that divide to some extent. What if we were like the kids who are growing up with the sequels, free of all the theories and speculations, and can just watch a pure experience, or the kids who will come after, who can put the sequels back to back. I think then the backlash wouldn't be as extensive. Then as they got older, they can discover the greater universe and explore all the little details, an experience akin to what many of us had in the past.
I'm actually glad the way he was sent back was the "boy with a blue lightsaber" which he eventually meets.
Do a what if video, what if Qui Gon Jinn found out that Jarr Jarr Binks had the highest midichlorian count and he was the chosen one.
It would be a funny one for Christmas
I like that the hand he got cut off in the last issue was Anakin’s cybernetic hand, and in this one he leaves it behind, thus in a way leaving behind Anakin.
Luke connecting with Vader on Degobah? Not sure if it fits the timeline would be sweet if it did.
All of the Vader comic issues have been awesome, but this ending was above and beyond. Truly a fitting ending. I'm excited for what's next.

His ONE weakness!
I think we now know what really pushed Vader into the Dark 100% . . . after seeing this, he now knows that there is no turning back, no way to save Padmé. That everything he attempted in his life has now been confirmed a failure - never becoming a Jedi Master and joining Palpatine to save Padmé.
This is Outrageous!!!
It's unfair!
How can you be on the conical and not be master
This right here is some serious quality and understanding of the Star Wars universe. Tying everything (including the sequels) together perfectly.
Amazing.
My favorite part is when Padme asks him: Are you an Angel? They are the most beautiful creatures in the universe.
That is the first thing Anakin asked Padme upon meeting her.
Wait, that’s the last one? No! I want more! I NEED MORE!!!!
When I read it I imagined it was Kylo's voice saying "let the past die", the portal seemed to show past and future events, very similar to the Worlds Between Worlds in Rebels. I missed the part where the Padmé demon strangled herself, very weird but cool... love the video!
This reminds me of the ROTS novelization where after Palpatine tells Anakin he killed Padme he tries to rationalize and compartmentalize saying Vader did all those terrible things and he'd never hurt Padme but then it hits him that there was no Vader, only Anakin and this situation he's now stuck in was all his fault.
It's a pretty powerful moment.
One more day!!!!!
I love how this shows so much more into Vaders struggle.

I love that this brings in so much from the movies and tv shows.
Anakin’s story is pretty sad when you think about it
4:21 The HL2 citizen voice caught me off guard lol
When you think about “the holdo maneuver” and how it destroyed Star Wars, I think people also forget the scene where Kylo had “killed” snoke, if depatching your enemy is as easy as turning a lightsaber and igniting it then you have to ask, why didn’t anakin and obi wan do this same thing to general Grevious on the invisible hand in Episode III? They were able to retrieve their lightsabers from his cloak with a force pull so you’d think they just as easily could have done “the Kylo maneuver” lol. Just interesting how a movie can break the logic of an entire franchise twice in under three hours
Edit: and no you don’t have to kill grevious. Incapacitating him would have resulted in him not escaping, Obi-Wan not leaving to go to Utapao, Seperatist movement left without Count Dooku or General Grevious, War is over.
They were trying to capture grievous not kill him, as Yoda says later in the film "the capture of general grievous will end this war", also even in the clone wars one time Obi Wan had the upper hand on Grievous and asked him to surrender
It doesn't even break the logic of the movie anyways because of course you can turn on a lightsaber with the force, theres a literal button on the handle to do it, you didnt need TLJ to tell you that
it was mace that said that
Savant can grevious not be taken into custody missing a couple of his arms/legs? Surely incapacitating grevious would have helped the Jedi instead of letting him escape through the window. And no TLJ didn’t explain to me how a lightsaber works.... it’s also the FIRST time in Star Wars history that people have used a lightsaber in such a manner which completely disregards previous scenes. Surely you won’t keep arguing that cutting off Grevious Legs or arms would have been too far for the Jedi? Obi wan cuts off one of his hands in the ensuing duel on Utapao
Savant my point is using a lightsaber on grevious doesn’t HAVE to be killing him they just as easily could have captured him with any of the lightsabers in his cloak, same goes for EVERY SINGLE battle with general grevious. He is not force sensitive so he doesn’t have the “force bubble” to block against different force attacks as force users have so what exactly would have stopped any single force user from incapacitating grevious with the several lightsabers he kept in his cloak at all times?
This is awesome! So dark!
Reminds me of Inception (curious, isn't it?)
They Turned Her Against Him!!!🔥👊👍

Best Comic for a long time ! one of the best ever imo after how vader turned his lightsaber & the ghost prison. Love these kind of videos !
I knew that Realm wasn't going to be the afterlife I think the vision of palpatine was to keep him on the dark side and it was fake vision.
The scenes with Anakin and I were so sad. It showed us side by side, only to then show how very far he had fallen as he tried to kill me. I loved the symbolize that in his vision I was glowing white to represent my stance in the Force.

This video gave me chills the entire way through, been watching since the first issue. Absolutely loved this series, thank you for bringing it to life!
I love putting myself in the shoes of Vader and getting the feeling of hate and rege along with sorrow to understand the true strength of the dark side.
They should hire the guy who writes these comics to write the movies as well. Writer of these seems to know what's exciting but also how to respect old material while inventing something new. Perfect balance.
But he didn't really go back in time. He could have saved a lot of time by just taking some hallucinogenic drugs instead of wasting all that time building a castle just to have a vision.
This was unbelievable! Thank you so much for bringing this to life!
Why is his ghost right arm still sliced off at the wrist?
Probably because his physical robot arm was cut off by Momin
None of his prosthetics were colored red, because they are inorganic.
Arjan Singh I think he was asking why all of his prosthetics were there but the hand was missing, Swooty hit the nail on the head though Momin had removed that arm which still held his saber prior to the vision
what an interesting video!!! Sidious.. really?! great work!!! Look forward to meeting you at the premiere! If for some reason I dont make it home on time.. may the force be with you
I don't like the origin of Anakin being created by Palpatine
It just some kind of interpretation. Lukas said Anakin was created by the Force and was the Chosen One. I think this comic doesnt contradict it. I think Palpatine and Plagueis only tried to create dark force sensitive servants but the Force instead created the Chosen One.
