I usually always agree with you theory, however I think there's a man who comes before Hayden, his very own apprentice. Sam Witwer embodies star wars and lore, and his experience is obvious with his numerous significant roles. Would love to see a live action Sam in action, however they do it. Both are legends though. Also hate Hamill's personality and politics, but Young Jedi Knight Luke is a beast of course as well. Ewan stands tall with them all.
I just rewatched it recently, and I have to admit, I was totally wrong about him. He did an amazing job portraying an extremely difficult character concept. His is really the best performance out of the whole movie.
Hayden and Ewan rocking that prequel bro energy in a live action “Clone Wars” series, little Asokha in tow, sounds like a sure fire way to get some positivity surrounding Star Wars again. I’m totally onboard with even a limited series, a sort of anthology of the animated series’ best
How would this create positivity? We already have that trio in the clone wars show. Doing it in live action now would not live up not even make sense canonically
I would much prefer a Clone Wars remastered completely reanimated to match the final season aesthetic and add extra unfinished clone wars content like son of Dathomir, boba arc, obi ani campfire, kashyyk, etc… perhaps even add an alternative ending where it’s episode 3 animated. I always felt Star Wars worked better in an animated media especially nowadays with Star Wars being unable to produce quality live action content (besides Andor)

@SixStringHarmonies not even that Gina was asked politely to not talk rubbish while on their payroll and proceeded to use the suffering of Jews to defend her not behaving while employed by a private company. (The comment I replied to is gone, they mentioned Guna spouted anti vax stuff and was generally making unhelpful comments Disney couldn't permit)
Ah Gina. I think that she is probably a good person who is just wrong about some stuff. It's hard for me to know how and where to draw the line between her trying to be helpful by saying dumb stuff, and she did say some dumb stuff, and everyone having their OWN responsibility to make their own decisions in their own lives. There's a saying that goes something like, "It's better to remain silent and appear *insert negative trait here* than it is to speak and remove all doubt." Having said that, I think firing her was an overreaction. Disney could have said, "As a company, we disagree." Problem solved, good will maintained, no one's hurt at all. People and corporations wave away FAR crazier behavior than Gina's! The list goes on and on! Mel Gibson ALONE has shared his most vile, racist, and anti-Semitic opinions loudly with full-throatedness and ultimately everyone shrugged and went about their business. Gina was a scapegoat. A sacrificial lamb to God Money. I'm as surprised as you are to hear me say that!
Ah, Paul Tassi: Alex and Mollie Damon's cameraman. He's always shaking his angry little fists about all of the horrible people who criticized The Acolyte.
Nah, no more Clone Wars. We had the Tartakovsky micro series and 7 full seasons of an animated show. Let’s have a Vader miniseries, or something, maybe with Anakin flashbacks or whatever.
I don't understand people's dislike for episodes 1-3 at all, I think Hayden Christensen did a wonderful performance. The emotional scenes hit me right in the heart, the expression on his face when he rescues his dead mother from captivity and carries her in his arms. I felt the loss and the anger, I also understood him and his fear of loss. It makes me sad to see what happened to Star Wars.
@@monst3rslay3r2 What? The OT had barely any CGI, maybe just 1 or 2 things, like the Death Star plans thing. Everything else was practical effects, puppets, miniature spaceships etc... which is why everything felt more realistic than the absolutely terrible video-gamey CGI of Clone Wars
You had me until you mentioned clone wars. Think you’re in the minority on that one bud. Clone Wars is some of the best star wars content to come out other than the og trilogy.
@@samandmax42 Exactly my point. The CGI is the reason why I love the prequels more than the Original Trilogy. Unlike you, I didn't grow up during the '80's. I grew up in the 2010's, which is why I enjoy the prequels more.
There were PARTS of the show I really liked that if they would have been explored more , would have been riveting . Obi Wans PTSD of the prequels as well as his shock at finding out Anakin lived were amazing . Obi-wan finding purpose, faith, peace and hope again in anakins children made sense (even if it should have been Luke not Lea ) , the shot of anakin’s ghost appearing in the third or 4th episode (they are just on that desert world and he appears as order 66 ani ) are GREAT . Not to mention the final conversation between anakin/vader and obiwan where you see ani return for the briefest of moments and forgive obiwan which was *chefs kiss * . The issue was , and it’s the same thing with almost all of Disney Star Wars , is that everything that happens before , after , and sometimes during those moments is fucking terrible. It could be the writing , the acting , or a director trying to hijack the story so they can put there “stamp “ on Star Wars as if it’s there right (looking at you RJ ) . I’d love to see a second season focused solely on Obi wan and him trying to resist the instinct to confront Vader because maybe he thinks he can reach Anakin again . There are so many stories of masters trying to connect with there padawans even after their horrible deeds in hopes of turning them back . In legends a whole book was written about yoda trying to help dooku . Fill the show with flash backs that flesh out there relationship and have awesome live action clone wars battles . Feature Ashoka , Rex , and pay Natalie to come play padme even for a single episode. Use it as a “RESET “ showing that you respect what Star Wars was and can be again . THROW YOUR FANS A BONE ! ( ALSO JUST CALL THE FUCKING SHOW KENOBI OR OBIWAN . WE WILL KNOW WHO THE SHOW IS ABOUT . NO ONE WOULD BE LIKE “WELL IF THEY USED HIS FULL NAME… “ )
Nah, they should do a “what if” series if Anakin killed Palpatine and helped Mace Windu. And fast forward 20 years, this way there no need for deaging, Padme is alive, the twins are 20, and have to conceal from the council that Anakin is married and their father. He’s now a master and sits on the council with ObiWan. We can see how powerful Anakin becomes and how he interacts on the council. Maybe he secretly trains Luke and Leia… and a plot element is he is found out to be married and a father and has to protect his family from the Jedi who believe Anakin to be morally compromised. Maybe he turns to darkside? Maybe it’s inevitable… or not. This way you can bring Samuel L Jackson and Natalie Portman back Of course Obi Wan knew and goes with him. Maybe a deeper plot is afoot. A fallen Jedi on the council… I think this would be cool.
@@Thed538dhsk like a multiverse. Hayden and Ewan are too old to convincingly play clone war versions of themselves. So it’s more realistic to have them play their age and introduce a whole new series. I would love to see Anakin and Obi’s relationship mature as “old” buddies, and see Anakin as a father. Imagine a scene where Anakin is unleashed, as he defends his family… 🔥
Kenobi concepts: Kenobi explores the force with qui gon Kenobi helps people fight tuskens (without using the force) Kenobi feeling depressed that he can’t help people, and qui gon helps him through that What we got: OMG LEIA GO HELP HER EVEN THO YOU SHOULD BE PROTECTING LUKE ONG REVAAAAAA
What is there to explore with Qui about the force? How to be a force ghost but does that Pandora's box need to be explained or is it better off closed and left as is? Obi fighting tuskens isn't a concept, it's 1 battle. Obi is so op that fighting off tuskens isn't even a worthy action scene. Its like saying a concept for a show is Vader vs jawas. @@Thed538dhskDidn't the tusken still remember Anakin's rampage? They would shit themselves in fear the moment someone even remotely similar to Anakin appeared.

I recently started watching the Ahsoka show on Disney plus with my siblings and when I saw that episode of Hayden I was like "THIS IS STAR WARS." It gave me chills. It was perfect and I immediately went to see your reaction to it and was not disappointed. SO yes, I fully agree about a live action clone wars.
A live-action Clone Wars covering all the major events would be good. Probably would need to be more condensed and not run for 7 seasons given Hayden's age at this point. It really was the smart move to make to introduce live-action Ahsoka as well, before giving us the continuation story we got last year. Clearly many people haven't seen the animated show and probably have a thing against animation. This means they would probably need a live-action Rebels to follow as well.
@@gundamnit3594 Yeah they do. I'm wondering if it is just boomers though considering viewership with Ahsoka wasn't very high. Mind you, the quality was not up Clone Wars either, so probably multiple reasons.
With how shaky the camera was in Obi-Wan Kenobi was reminiscent of Bourne Ultimatum because I remember when that film came out that was one of the first problems I noticed was how unsteady the camera seemed at times and would cause kinda headache as well.
Classic thumbnail . Great essay . I love Hayden Christensen and Jake lloyd as Anakin Skywalker. The transition from Jake to Hayden from episode 1 to episode 2 and then finally through episode 3 is perfect. Great directing and acting. And great script. My favorite is The Phantom Menace. The Phantom Menace is The GOAT for sure in my book. Best dialogue. Best characters. best story. Best climactic battle. FuNniest Character we have EVER had. Every choice George made in The Phantom Menace is perfect in my book. The Prequels are nearly perfect movies over all. However, I would liked to have seen George's vision for Terrance Stamp returning as Valorum for AOTC. But we did get Count Dooku. And we did get Christopher Lee as Dooku. Dooku is my favorite Villain for sure. He is mysterious and powerful . Perfectly cast. Star Wars Theory is a Great program . Your love for and defense of The Prequels is strong. Thank you ! May The Force be with us
Side point: Your Hayden Christensen impression is on point. How can we get an episode of you just doing various quotes from different Star Wars characters?
I've been here from the what ifs and the theories to all this. Im excited to see your fanmade film. Been here for 7 years and Im glad to see you're still kickin!
Not only would it lead to Anakin and Obi Wan, but who doesn’t need a ton of Ventress ? I can’t even begin to imagine who would play her, but easily in my top ten favorite Star Wars characters. Unlike Ahsoka, Ventress is an extremely interesting character that leaves you wanting more. She has a fascinating backstory and more importantly a redemption arc. And what about Dooku? Sure, nobody could ever replace Lee, but still, the possibilities are exciting!!!!
The financial publication can be a bit of a mixed bag. At best, you get some really great analysis by talented writers that actually tells you something. At worst, at least as it pertains to Star Wars, you get a mostly-decent article that just casually throws out a random statement that everyone who didn't like The Last Jedi was "a small vocal minority of the fandom, motivated by racism and sexism" (Yes this is a real quote, though the description says that writer no longer works there, thank goodness, especially because his film industry peer is super critical of Disney and their financial decisions)
Dude it's NOT your idea. I'm not even a fan of Star Wars and I immediately thought the best thing about Ahsoka was the actress as young Ahsoka. Plus the deaging process for Anakin worked best some how on the "ghost of christmas past" scenes therefore I thought "yes, there's the good idea. There's the money! Clone Wars live action." Anybody who doesn't appreciate Rosario Dawson getting jobs simply for her politics will love a Live Action of Star Wars Clone Wars. It was completely logical and not "your idea."
Sadly it takes time for good ideas to sink in with some people. Plus sometimes those ideas have to come from different sources for them to actually take hold with the sheeple. I remember after seeing Captain America: winter Soldier I made a side by side comparison photo of Sebastian Stan and Mark Hamill and said "why can't they just use Sebastian as Luke?". It took years but that finally sank and people magically noticed the similarities. Sometimes good ideas just take time.

Returning to this channel was an interesting experience. Your videos have gotten much better on the side of editing but also are more funny and entertaining in general than they were 2 years back. Keep up the good work my dude.

There has got to be some sort of toxic work culture going on at Forbes. Myself an absolute nobody had to deal with consent abuse caused by a Forbe's contract writer, who targeted me on Twitter for backing Gina Carano who I felt was unfairly fired by Disney. I got called a bigot, right-winger, woman hater and racist by this guy. I think the worst insult was he assumed i was American. I'm Canadian!
He called you a woman hater for backing up a woman? Do these people ever think about what they say?
@@BryceShamwow A lot of these people know perfectly well what they say is absolute bs on some level. They just don't want to get fired so they keep trying to feed us the same corporate slop so they have the privilege of going home and crying in the shower.
@V4Now Mark Ruffalo did the same thing with the Jews. Private companies still have to be fair or else they get into big trouble.
Ah Gina. I think that she is probably a good person who is just wrong about some stuff. It's hard for me to know how and where to draw the line between her trying to be helpful by saying dumb stuff, and she did say some dumb stuff, and everyone having their OWN responsibility to make their own decisions in their own lives.
There's a saying that goes something like, "It's better to remain silent and appear *insert negative trait here* than it is to speak and remove all doubt."
Having said that, I think firing her was an overreaction.

Bad CGI, mostly.
@@CharFred-vr1ti ...The f//ck you MEAN "BAD CGI"?! CGI was better than the Original Trilogy! lol
This way you can bring Samuel L Jackson and Natalie Portman back
Of course Obi Wan knew and goes with him. Maybe a deeper plot is afoot. A fallen Jedi on the council… I think this would be cool.
So it'd be an ep of visions? Or you want star wars to have a multiverse?
100% this, we could only hope.
@@Thed538dhsk Yeah, they TOTES oughta have Nero show up from Romulus and...oh wait...
Only if it turns them into a Vincent and Jules scenario and they have the bunny situation in Dex’s diner
Kenobi concepts:
Kenobi explores the force with qui gon
Kenobi helps people fight tuskens (without using the force)
Kenobi feeling depressed that he can’t help people, and qui gon helps him through that
What we got: OMG LEIA GO HELP HER EVEN THO YOU SHOULD BE PROTECTING LUKE ONG REVAAAAAA
It's at best 1 quick action scene like in a new hope, not the basis for a show.
Obi being depressed and qui helping him is 1 scene as well not the basis of a show

As someone who has read many Tassi Destiny/Destiny 2 articles over the last 10 years, I feel like Tassi is trying out new things to write about now that Bungie appears to be suffering the sudden heat death of its gaming universe.
The series would revolve around young Ashoka constantly criticizing kenoba and Anakin. "you need to do better!"
As if Kathleen Kennedy would allow competent straight white men to be the lead in _any_ show under her regime.
I just read master and apprentice and padawan, and it would be really cool to see a show about mentors and show Qui-gon with kenobi, Kenobi with anakin, and Anakin with Ahsoka

Why do people have a thing against animation?

Forbes News/Opinion is a garbage publication. The news/opinion publication is different from the financial publication.
