      Hahaha so true 😂😂😂

    • @DarthSharp
      @DarthSharp 6 лет назад +7

      Yes, but that story and it's canon is still ongoing and therefor it's logical that they wouldn't want to give much away, should Snoke still be important to both the current trilogy's story and in bridging the past...there is a one-shot Snoke comic coming out before episode XI apart of the Resistance era comics. It will be interesting to see if they will drop anything more substantial. And I'm sure there will be more Snoke related tie-in material coming after episode XI...
      The aftermath trilogy gets into an idea that the Sidious' operation Cinder was not just about destroying the empire, but doing so, so that it could begin anew...In my mind that means he had some kind of longer term plan in terms of the first order and I had wondered if Snoke was intentionally set up to become the leader of the first order. After all, Sidious and Vader have been interested in unknown regions of space looking for power/force relics and Snoke is from unknown regions of space...

    Maybe Vader will actually be able to summon Padme again. But he will see it's not really her but some strange dark side/empty version of Padme. Hence he will kill/choke her again to release her from her pain. And this way Vader suffers even more... stepping even deeper into the dark side. What do you guys think about this?

    • @awhispertoascreamcryptidsp4810
      @awhispertoascreamcryptidsp4810 6 лет назад +42

      Spoilers for Rebels.
      I immediately think of the door to the outside of time and space that showed up in Star Wars Rebels. Ezra Bridger succeeded in saving Ahsoka Tano among the bizarre highways of the Force, but in trying to save his master, he nearly granted access to the Emperor, who was conducting some sort of dark ritual. The ancient Jedi and Sith temples that gave access to this space beyond space were both unlocked for the first time in thousands of years and destroyed within the show, almost entirely keeping them from ever being used in another story. But there were other ways into this strange void.

      TheScauldron Fan Although it’s technically possible that Momin torched another world, as “still on Mustafar” could be referred to five minutes ago when the mask was on an Imperial officer, I get the feeling that, despite a probable inability to see, Momin is probability still aware of the passage of time, so Mustafar is most likely the planet he torched. This is a pretty major retcon from the Legends explanation for Mustafar’s fiery surface.
      So yeah, it’s probably like Lothal but much worse.🔥

Most would using a super weapon would simply blow the place up and leave it without any trace, but momin had full intent to perserve the suffering of Malious, and make a monument to it. I do wonder how the Sith continued if momin never had an apprentice, it doesn't seem like he predates bane.

    • @redfishrambo5761

  • @Wowreference
    @Wowreference 6 лет назад +1

    This is my favorite canon Vader comic so far for certain. Momin's philosophies made him a profound character almost immediately after his dialogue began. His views on human emotion, that fear and pain are the "purest" because it's what we feel automatically at our most basic level of consciousness, and his view that the role of "master" never suited him because he never intended to stop growing and learning - these things really demonstrate the narrative that many Siths were scholars, scientists, and philosophers over the centuries, even if they mostly sought power and to inflict pain onto others. The cliff hanger at the end is great too. I can't wait to see where this goes with Padme and why she isn't seen in later years (something had to go horribly wrong I bet).

    Was he one of the rule of 2 or was he around during the Sith Empire

    • @Agonis100
      @Agonis100 6 лет назад +32

      *Reply to Logan Wilson:* He appears to originate prior to the Rule of Two, since he eliminated his master, but chose not to take an apprentice of his own. The lack of a Darth title for himself or his master is also evidence supporting this.
      However, he may not be as far back as I thought they'd set him, since the lightsabers we see from his era are fairly modern. Also, the masks the Sith wear, as well as those of the Acolytes bring the design of Canon Darth Bane to mind. I'd guess Momin lived some relatively short period before Darth Bane established the Rule of Two after the rest of the Sith fell. He might inhabit the same part of the timeline that was known as the 'Draggulch Period' in the Expanded Universe, now known as Legends.

    • @CosmereArcanist
      @CosmereArcanist 6 лет назад +9

      My guess is that he was around during the time of the Sith Empire since he never bothered to take on an apprentice and thus had no one to pass his teachings to in order to keep the Rule of Two going

    • @mitchellhayward6492
      @mitchellhayward6492 6 лет назад +11

      Since it's now both been shown and stated in this comic series that there are more than just two Sith in the time when Momin lived, the Rule of Two-era is definitely... ruled out...
      And because Sith history is so vague so far in canon, it's hard to guess the exact period. I'd say it had to be after the Great Scourge of Malachor, since they're obviously not crossguard-sabers. But even then, I wouldn't buy into that. Because I doubt EVERYONE used crossguard-sabers at the time anyway.

    • @Microsoft-Excel-2010
      @Microsoft-Excel-2010 6 лет назад +7

      Guys you are forgetting the obvious reason why this is *prior* of rule of two: In the Phantom Menace, the Jedi believed that the Sith where gone for good, with no official sight of them. In this comic, the two Jedi survive and bring the mask which would it be hidden in the Sith Artifacts section of the Jedi temple.

    • @Agonis100
      @Agonis100 6 лет назад +2

      *Reply to Claudio Moita:* A good point. The reason I hesitated to list it as evidence was due to it appearing at the end that the Jedi Apprentice was possibly going to be the first to fall under the mask's influence. This caused me to wonder how many detours it took before the mask was sealed in the temple vault, by which time the truth of it's origin could have been lost. However, for all the previous stated reasons, I'm in agreement with you that it takes place prior to the Rule of Two.

    Finally, we learn the symbolism behind Vader's castle. From the moment that it appeared on screen, I had a feeling that it was something far more than a mere castle; to learn that Momin, a twisted, macabre Sith designed the locus just gives it a deeper meaning. As for Vader learning how to bring Padme' back, I hope that they do NOT go with that route. Part of Vader's greatest tragedy, the poignant point of his life is that he had to endure the loss of his beloved for the remainder of his days. Excellent video once again. Waiting with bated breath to see your film, bro. The Force will be with you. Always.

    Well, we've seen artefacts in Star Wars that channel the force to do all kind of amazing things. It stands to reason that they must have been built by _someone._ I like the idea of a Sith architect, not necessarily exceptionally powerful in person, but with an understanding of the Force that allows him to create amazing magical objects. It's something I've always liked in more traditional fantasy as well, the magical architecture.

      he did came back.
      the clone bodies did not have consciousness of their own it was the same palpatine who died in Rotj and moved his consciousness on possessing the clone bodies through ancient dark side ability known as essence transfer which is commonly used among the sith in legends.

      @@undead4500 Yes but each time Sidious would possess a clone, the body would deteriorate more than the previous one. Which is why he became obsessed with trying to possess a baby.

    Color is used in a narratively when dealing with Starwars. Notice how Momin is painted in a gold scheme. So was Snoke in TLJ. Snoke built Starkiller Base and the only mission statement we know of is that he wants to snuff out hope and for Kylo to kill Luke. Snoke got into the minds of both Ben Solo and Luke. He maniplates Kylo with mask. False visions of Vader and again in his throne room.
